Ruiz, Damien. Paris 10, 2009. http://www.theses.fr/2009PA100030.
Texto completo da fonteStill cited in the monographs and articles on the history of the Order of Friars Minor in the 13th century, Hugh of Digne is not for all that less poorly known thanks to numerous ideas handed down about him. The purpose of this work is to completely take up again the Hugh of Digne dossier. As the title indicates, this will be a matter of establishing a history along three trajectories: the narrative sources which teach us what we know of him; the codicology and, in a wider sense, the history of texts; and finally, the original thought of the author. At the end of this road, a much more coherent figure than it might seem will emerge, more than it might first appear, a multi-faceted personality very much like the great intellectuals of the Middle Ages whom our modern categories have trouble understanding in their complexity

Texto completo da fonteAt the dawn of the renaissance, a new technique, the art of printing, made rapid progress in europe. Printing appeared in lyons in 1473, three yearts later than in paris. In spain, it began in segovia in 1472. Conditions in spain and lyons in the second half of the 16th and more specially in the 17th century were the reason why lyons was interested in publishing works by spanish authors, works of great quality. This study sheds light on the frequent links between lyons and sapin, with regard to the world of editions. As a matter of fact, an extensive portion of the editions of 16th and 17th century books was made in lyons, not only in spanish, but also in italien, and most of all, in latin and in franch. Also by studying the works of the part-dieu library in lyons, of the authors, subjects and editions, one comes to the conclusion that during the 16th and 17th centuries there was an important spanish cultural contribution to france, by means of editions from lyons, in subjects as widely varying as literature, philosophy, humanism, religion, politics, medicine, and pharmacy. This study proves that the french read this important spanish production, that they liked it and were influenced by it. Spanish cutlure thus had a real influence in france.

Texto completo da fonteWithin a culture at once literary, editorial and visual begun in the 19th century, bookbinding defines distinct fields of dissemination and reception that have in common the fact of claiming, in their own way, membership of the literary world. Our task is to place the history of bookbinding within the cultural history of publishing, through the identification of the different status and functions bookbinding has assumed in the formation of the discursive and technical corpus that defines its field of action, within issues relating to the production of the meaning that take place within the world of publishing and bibliophily, and in the different spaces of visibility inhabited and opened by bookbinding. Building on a study of the catalogues of french publishers from the 19th century (1818-1900), we followed the continuities and discontinuities of the publishing and material life of a text wich had already had, at that time, a long published history. The study of different methods of disseminating Don Quixote (1832-1878), a work that was involved in all the phases of the 19th century french publishing history, shows that the variations in the material appearance proposed by the binding could induce different readings of the same book, especially when they are all in agreement (in aesthetic and commercial terms) with the editorial programmes in wich they are inserted. An analysis of the different publishing practices supported by bookbinding allowed us to study the consolidation process of the publisher's binding genre, in the new relationships it forges with different forms of cultural expression
