The world tendencies of spatial development, namely the availability of limited resources (primarily water) and the growth of the world’s food needs focus on the resource specialization of the region. On this basis, the purpose of the article is to study the impact of the water-capacious economy on the economic development of the country and its regions. The study used the traditional and special methods, including: historical and logical method – to analyze the functioning of regional socio-economic systems under limited water resources; and system analysis methods – to evaluate the impact of the water-capacious economy on the economic development of the country and its regions. The research results have important implications for the management of the territories. The authors show that the production specialization of the regions of Ukraine on the export/import of water-capacious products is not determined by their water supply. They also suggest that stimulating the region’s water-efficient activity should lead to a minimization of the water capacity of gross regional product and the reproduction of water capital, taking into account the water security of the regions. The authors also show that the water resources of the country and its regions and the natural water potential of the territories in the current situation become significant restriction to the economic development of territories, which allows to state the need to change the approaches to the regulation of regional development based on limited water resources.

Significant changes in the development of new interdependencies between companies, the development of the value chain concept, and technological progress in the field of electronic communications between companies are the main prerequisites for the significant interest of theorists in network structures. Some scholars believe that the study of two-way relationships reflects the popularity of the concept of affiliate marketing, while the focus on networks is a higher level of marketing development. Given that the achievement of long-term cooperative trade relations primarily depends on the will and capacity of both partner parties (bilateral control), it is clear that their nature can be explored in more detail only through mutual considerations. The additive economy should be the productive basis toward which the national economies aspire. This paper aims to deepen the theoretical issues of the additive economy forming and its key components: additive technology and additive manufacturing. Additive technology is defined as a set of methods and tools based on which the production of products occurs by adding only the useful part of natural substances to the final commodity and creating no waste. Additive manufacturing is a system of interconnected processes of transforming natural substances into finished products based on additive technology. The additive economy is a system of trade and industries based on additive manufacturing. The study analyzes competitive advantages (direct prototyping, saving materials and energy, the ability to work without human participation, dematerialization of transportation and storage of products) and challenges of the additive economy (building an organizational network of production systems; forming solidarity economy; developing new social institutions; social development of a person). The paper formulates the key directions of economic systems restructuring to an additive economy formation, including restructuring energy production types, energy networks, and interface sphere and change of the structure of primary resources. The general debatable problem of the economic systems restructuring to the additive economy is the formation of new social institutions capable of providing necessary solutions. AcknowledgmentThe study is prepared in the framework of the research project “Restructuring of the national economy in the direction of digital transformations for sustainable development” (№0122U001232), funded by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.

The article substantiates the importance of updating knowledge about the economic set-up in Russian educational materials due to changing the concept of economic development in the context of modern international relations. It shows how the perception of economic phenomena depends on their interpretation in textbooks, while professional discourse influences management methods and the behavior of participants in the national economy. The concept of describing the economic system adopted in modern educational literature such as "Economics" is explained. A set of premises prescribed or implied by the authors for the convenience of mathematical modeling of the operation of a market-type economic system is outlined as well as a set of standard, not entirely substantiated, value-based statements from economic educational literature indoctrinated to readers. The authors explain the reasons for the modern economic mindset conveyed in educational literature. The standard structure of a modern basic course in economics and its ideological function are revealed. The rationale for modernizing the knowledge system is defined, based on the premise of long-term effective development, and the conceptual consequences of such changes for the creation of new educational economic material are described. The article presents opinions of leading Russian scientists on modernization of the system of economic education in modern Russia. The ideas on the structure of a new economics course for non-economic degrees, particularly, within the "DNA of Russia" project, are underpinned. The course depicts the current state of the economy through the historical path, internal and external conditions that influenced the formation of the current economic structure of Russia, and the specifics of modern economic development. The relationship between the factors of national economic culture and the behavior of economic agents, as well as the civilizational vector of economic development of Russia are given. The importance of a broad dialogue for thorough and consistent modernization of economic knowledge based on heterodox schools of economic theory is emphasized.

In this article the authors question the effectiveness of Russia’s government policy aimed at transition from demand economy to economy of supply. The authors argue that Russian financial policymakers incorrectly treat cyclical budget deficit as structural. Such approach creates an additional barrier to an aggregate demand growth in Russia’s economy, which still remains in recession. Revival of financial policymakers’ trend to excessive accumulation in the National Welfare Fund, post-election cuts in budget social spending and infrastructure investment together with extremely high interest rates pose a considerable threat to the national security. Revealing the effect of restrictive fiscal and monetary policies on deepening the recession, the authors identify the growth dilemma for Russia’s economy — either an inevitable halt or a radical shift to a new quality.
