Pyrus calleryana and nine cultivars were evaluated for fireblight susceptibility, flowering, growth habit, fall leaf color, and fruiting in southern conditions. Disease susceptibility to fireblight (Erwinia amylovora) was monitored during the spring season. Aristocrat and Autumn Blaze were highly susceptible as indicated by the number of infected shoots per tree and shoot length dieback. Bradford was the least sensitive to fireblight. Bradford was the earliest flowering cultivar, with flowering beginning in late March to early April and Aristocrat was the last cultivar to flower, beginning 10-14 days later. Autumn Blaze developed fall leaf color by mid- October while Bradford's leaf color peaked in mid-November. Aristocrat, Autumn Blaze, Bradford, Cleveland Select, Earlyred, and Fauriei developed rounded to pyramidal canopy forms. Capital, Redspire, and Whitehouse developed upright canopy forms.

Cyclopentenone prostaglandin derivatives of arachidonic acid are potent inducers of apoptosis in a variety of cancer cell types. Several investigators have shown that the terminal derivative of prostaglandin J2(PGJ2) metabolism, 15-deoxy-Δ12,14-PGJ2(15dPGJ2), induces apoptosis in breast cancer cells and is a potent activator of the nuclear hormone receptor peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ), but 15dPGJ2effects can be mediated by PPARγ-dependent and PPARγ-independent mechanisms. Here we report that 15dPGJ2regulates early gene expression critical to apoptosis. Specifically, 15dPGJ2induces potent and irreversible S phase arrest that is correlated with expression of genes critical to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, including the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p21Waf1/Cip1(p21). Inhibition of RNA or protein synthesis abrogates apoptosis induced by 15dPGJ2in breast cancer cells but potentiates apoptosis induced by tumor necrosis factor-α or CD95/Fas ligand. Additionally, 15dPGJ2induces caspase activation that is blocked by peptide caspase inhibitors. These data show thatde novogene transcription is necessary for 15dPGJ2-induced apoptosis in breast cancer cells. Critical candidate genes are likely to be revealed through analysis of differential cDNA array expression.

This study aims to describe the implementation of basic level violin learningusing the Suzuki method in the Medan Musika Era. The subjects in this study were students who tookviolin instruments in the Medan Musika Era. This study focused on the problems associated with theimplementation of basic level violin learning with the Suzuki method, which was viewed from theprocess of the steps of the study. This study used descriptive qualitative research methods, namelya research method that aims to describe in detail and clearly about a phenomenon which is the focusof research. The results of the research on the implementation of basic level violin learning usingthe Suzuki method in the Medan Musika Era show as follows (1) Education 'starts at a very earlyage by not limiting students who learn violin in the Musika Era. (2) Prioritizing to teach students tolisten to just play a musical instrument, by the way the teacher demonstrates the song learned by thenew student, the student mimics the song. (3) Violin learning takes place by giving songs that are inSuzuki's books repeatedly. (4) Learning to read beam notation using fingering in accordance withwhat is in the Suzuki method book.

Cross-country military sports are sports that are contested in the military environment asan effort to foster the physical abilities of the Navy's soldiers. The doctrine in the Indonesian Navyforcefully demands every soldier to never give up in every task that is carried out so that in militarysporting events the soldier will spend all of his abilities. In the process of cross-country competitionwith heavy physical activity causing many soldiers who experience heat exhaust (pre heat strokeconditions) continue to force themselves to compete and will continue to become a heat stroke. This is compounded by the distance traveled so that the medical team had difficulty reaching thesoldiers who experienced the incident. Internet of things (IoT) is the idea that all objects in the realworld can communicate with each other as part of an integrated system using the internet networkas a link.By using the IoT platform it is possible to monitor an object continuously and provideanalysis directly without being limited by distance and time. Based on the description above, it isnecessary to design and build an early detection system for the heat stroke of TNI AL soldiers incross-country military sport activities based on IoT (Internet of Thing). This system can help detectpositions and soldiers who will experience heat stroke so that medical treatment can be given earlyto prevent heat stroke. Keywords: Monitoring, Heat Stroke, Cross Country, IoT.

Universal attainment of basic education is recognised as a key development goal; whereas early-age work is considered as a barrier to achieving this goal. The literature suggests that returns to education are larger than those of early-age work, and that child-labour results in long term social loss that reduces human capital. This study evaluates the argument that earlyage work can itself lead to accumulation of human capital when it takes the form of apprenticeship career path. The paper develops a model that allows a rational agent (parent) to compare the early-age work as apprenticeship career path with the formal education career and shows that the parents’ career choice for their child will depend on the lifetime earnings of both careers. The theoretical model is further extended and empirically tested to check whether benefits of education are higher for all levels of education. The simulation analysis suggests that for lower level of education up to Grade-12, the benefits of apprenticeship exceed the net benefits of education whereas, at Grade-12 and beyond, the net benefits of education in terms of earnings outstrip the apprenticeship career. The study implies that early-age work may not necessarily be inefficient when compared with low levels of schooling and that any intervention should ensure universal education for all without compromising skill development of resource poor children. This can be achieved through making skill development complementary to education. JEL Classifications: H44, H52, I26, J24 Keywords: Child-labour, Basic Education, Human Capital, Public Policy

Background. Physical activity and movement is a key factor in motor development. The physical activity of parents is associated with the physical activity of their children. The aim. To determine the correlations between the motor development of early-age children and the level of physical activity of mothers. Methods. 32 early-age children (from 6 months to 36 months) were assessed for motor development according to the Peabody (PDMS-2) movement test. The physical activity of the children’s mothers was assessed according to the International Physical Activity Questionnaire. The child’s motor development and physical activity were assessed using a questionnaire for mothers. Results. The average value of the motor development coefcient of early-age children was 107.66±7.02 points; 53 percent of children reached an average level of motor development, and 47 percent of children’s motor development level was rated above average. The average value of the physical activity of the mothers was evaluated as a high level of physical activity and was 3638.09±2191.31 MET. 44percent of mothers have a high level of physical activity, 53 percent – an average and 3 percent. – low.Conclusions. The coefcient of motor development was higher in those earlyage children whose parents’ physical activity level was moderate or high. It was established that the less time parents devote to intense or moderately intense physical activity, the less time they devote to children’s physical activity; the more time mothers spend walking, the more time children spend outside. Indiscriminate use of antibiotics in broiler could lead to residue accumulation in food chain. We conducted a study to detect colistin residues in broiler meat in different growth stages, collected from different upazilas of Mymensingh division. A total of 108 samples, were collected from Fulbaria, Mymensingh Sadar, and Trishal Upazila of Mymensingh district and Nakla Upazila of Sherpur district. From each farm, nine samples were collected at the three different growth stages: 14-20 days (Early:E), 21-27 (Middle:M) days and 28-35 (Late:L) days, respectively. Thin layer chromatography (TLC) was used for the qualitative detection colistin residues in broiler meat. A questionnaire survey was carried out with the farmers from whom the samples were collected. Most of the farmers’ had varying degree of knowledge about biosecurity, withdrawal period and residue of antibiotic, and academic qualification varies from primary to graduate level. Out of 108 samples, 50% (18 out of 36) samples were positive for TLC in early samples, whereas 66.67% (24 out of 36) samples for middle and 50% (18 out of 36) for late collected samples. Upazila-wise, the highest concentration was detected in Mymensingh sadar and Nakla (66.67%) and lowest in Fulbaria (33.33%). These result indicates that colistin are being misused in poultry industry especially in middle days of broiler life and withdrawal periods are not maintained when broiler are marketed. Being a Reserve group antibiotics, measures are needed to ensure human safety regarding colistin residue in poultry industry. Asian Australas. J. Food Saf. Secur. 2019, 3(1), 43-47

Dyslexia, is one of the disorders with a greater prevalence among the group of the learning disorders. With the passing years many studies (observations) to explain the causes of dyslexia and to show the newest interventions in this field has been made. People withdyslexia have to overcome quite a few barriersduring theirlivesin order to be able to fulfiltheir dreams and achieve their targets. The fact that some of themare not assessedat an earlyage can affect their self-esteemand theirself-concept. Once theyare assessedresearch has proved that people with dyslexia learnbetter once they aretaught in their preferred learning style(Mortimore, 2003). In dyslexia one of the most commonly missed areas is the emotional side. Teachers and parents are very good at noticing problems with reading, writing, spelling and even maths. They can miss the growing element of lack of motivation, low self-esteem and upset which develops as the child goes through school and the pressures grow greater and greater. The frustration of children with dyslexia often centers on their inability to meet expectations. Their parents and teachers see a bright, enthusiastic child who is not learning to read and write. Time and again, dyslexics and their parents hear, "He's such a bright child; if only he would try harder." Ironically, no one knows exactly how hard the dyslexic is trying. The pain of failing to meet other people's expectations is surpassed only by dyslexics' inability to achieve their goals. This is particularly true of those who develop perfectionistic expectations in order to deal with their anxiety. They grow up believing that it is "terrible" to make a mistake. However, their learning disability, almost by definition means that these children will make many "careless" or "stupid" mistakes. This is extremely frustrating to them, as it makes them feel chronically inadequate. Thisinthe long termcan cause thema lot ofproblems in their personaland social life.

This paper discusses the various strategies for cultivating thecharacter of inter-religious tolerance in students of SDN Inpres 6.88Perumnas 2 Kota Jayapura which is carried out through 1) schoolpolicies; 2) habituation to differences; 3) habituation to equations, and 4) group heterogeneity exercises. This research is field research. Theresearch approach used in this research includes methodological(phenomenological) and scientific approaches (normative, juridical, andpedagogical theological approaches). The research method used was aninterview, observation, and documentation. The results of this studyindicate that the character of interreligious tolerance in students of SDNInpres 6.88 Perumnas 2 Kota Jayapura is carried out through severalstrategies, namely: First, school policy. A strong commitment must bepossessed by school policymakers in cultivating the character of tolerancebetween religious believers in students. This commitment is manifested inthe inclusion of the character values of tolerance among religious believersin the mission, goals, and school regulations. Second, habituation todifferences. The teacher accustoms students to differences from an earlyage. This is done by giving understanding to students to appreciate thedifferences that exist between them. Besides, in learning the teacher alsotrains students to appreciate differences of opinion when discussing. Third, habituation to equality. The teacher gives the understanding that allstudents have the same position in a school that is, both become studentswho have the same rights and obligations. Students when learning areaccustomed to the teacher to see the similarities in meaning if there aredifferent answers. . The teacher invites students to think from the samepoint of view, not from each student. Fourth, exercise heterogeneity ingroups. The teacher gives group heterogeneity exercises to students inassigned group discussions during learning. The learning strategy used bythe teacher in group discussion assignments is the cooperative learningstrategy. Students work together in their study groups to complete theassignments the teacher has given them. Heterogeneity of study groups thatfavor cooperation can train and accustom students to learnto respect and tolerate differences that exist between themselves and theirpeers in terms of ethnicity, religion, social strata, or abilities.

Have the tragic events of 9/11 resulted in a profound change in the interactionsbetween the Muslim world and the West, or has the carnage simplyaccelerated an already present trend of strained relations? It is too earlyto know, but when historians begin looking back, they will likely find evidenceto support both assertions. With the introduction of the USAPATRIOT Act, which allows the government unprecedented opportunitiesto spy on people, greatly infringing upon their civil liberties, the treatmentof the detainees at Guantanamo Bay, racial profiling, and the harassmentand deportation of Muslims residing in the country, the Bush administrationappears to be leading the “free world” into a new variant of right-wingauthoritarian government. On the other hand, the American occupation of Iraq and the Bushadministration’s plans to reshape the Middle East bear an uncanny resemblanceto a policy paper published in 1996 by an Israeli think-tank, theInstitute for Advanced Strategic and Political Studies: “A Clear Break: ANew Strategy for Securing the Realm.” Of course the symmetry betweenthe 1996 proposals (i.e., remove Saddam Hussein and weaken Syria andIran) and the current policies are no surprise, since three of the eight coauthorsnow hold key Bush administration positions: Richard Perle, memberof the Pentagon’s Defense Policy Board; Douglas Feith, undersecretaryof defense for policy; and David Wurmser, Vice President Dick Cheney’sMiddle East advisor. Thus, 9/11 has simply given the neo-conservatives anexcuse and the ability to execute what had already been envisaged. TheMiddle East, long under colonial subjugation, is re-experiencing westernaims to dominate, control, and reshape it. Thus, from a Muslim perspective,9/11 appears to have confirmed, with a vengeance, global power structuresinstead of ushering in a new era.In Covering Islam, published by the late Edward Said in 1981, Saidobserved: “For almost every Muslim, the mere assertion of an Islamicidentity becomes an act of nearly cosmic defiance and a necessity for survival(p. 72).” Though written more than 20 years ago, how more true isthis observation now? Even the simple act of naming a child (especiallyboys) is fraught with difficulties. Many of the best-loved Muslim names, ...

Background: Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women and ranked number two afterlung cancer in the world. According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer accounts for22.9% among cancers in women in 2012.Objective: This study was designed to evaluate the dietary pattern particularly dairy productsconsumption and the role of lifestyle on women with breast cancer in Baghdad city and its suburbs.Subjects and Methods: The study was conducted on 100 women with breast cancer, as a case group, compared with a control group comprised of 100 healthy women. Demographic data were collectedfrom both groups. A food frequency questionnaire was used of 33 items of foods for reporting thedietary pattern and modes of life style of the participants. The statistical Chi-square test / SPSS V.22was used to analyze the data. Results: Our data show that 71% of the women in the two groups were found to be overweightwith body mass index (BMI 25-29.9). 90% of obese women represented in case group (BMI ≥30), while82% of normal weight women (BMI 18.5-24.9) were in control group. Approximately 61% of womenin both groups were in post-menopausal age. Intake of high fatty dairy products by the participantsshowed a statistically significant increase in breast cancer risk (OR=1.625, CIs 95%=0.686-3.847).Consumption of vegetables and fruits was significantly lower (P˂0.01) in case group than in the controlgroup. Furthermore, roughly 68% women in the case group used to smoke cigarettes. In addition, lackor decreased regular physical exercises (never with ≥1 practice per wk) was statistically significant(OR= 44. 809; CIs= 5.889 –340.963). Other parameters, including long period of breastfeeding, earlyage at first birth and consumption of white meat, beans and eggs were all reported to have significance. On the other hand, there was no correlation with the marital status, occupation, living area, class ofdairy products, and passive smoking. Conclusion: Unhealthy dietary habits especially high-fat dairy intake and wrong lifestyle may be riskfactors and predispose Iraqi women for breast cancer development. Therefore, eating healthy food andfollowing correct lifestyle are highly recommended as a suitable program for the prevention of breastcancer.

“Tissue-printing” hybridization (3) for Peach latent mosaic viroid (PLMVd) and Hop stunt viroid (HSVd) was used to assess the sanitary status of stone fruit accessions in the Canadian Clonal Genebank (CCG) located in Harrow (Ontario). The Prunus spp. accessions in the CCG are primarily of Canadian origin; other countries of origin include the United States, the United Kingdom, Hungary, the Czech Republic, the Former Soviet Union, Spain, New Zealand, and Italy. All Prunus spp. accessions were donated to the Genebank from Canadian or American sources. Leaves were harvested in November 2003 from 336 trees (116 peach and nectarine, 84 sweet and sour cherries, 54 plum, 44 apricot, and 38 of other cherries) representing 267 accessions. No visible symptoms were observed during the collection of the accessions to be evaluated. The petioles were excised at the base and imprinted on a nylon membrane in triplicate for each sample. The membranes were air dried and submitted by mail to the laboratory. The digoxigenin-labeled riboprobes used for hybridization were obtained by T7 RNA polymerase transcription of the linearized plasmids pHSVd (1) and pPLMVd (2). Thirty stone fruit samples were infected by viroids. PLMVd occurred in 28 peach and nectarine samples, representing the following cultivars and selections: Harblaze Hardired, Harko, Earlyvee, Harbelle, Harken, Harland, Harrow Beauty, Harrow Rubirose, HW264, Redhaven, Silver Gold, Suncling, V68101, Vanity, Veeglo, Velvet, Vesper, Villa Doria, and Vulcan. PLMVd-infected samples represented 24.1% of the tested peaches and nectarines. PLMVd finding confirms previous reports of the viroid in Canada from British Columbia and Ontario. Two CCG apricot accessions, ‘Bulida’ and ‘Velkopavlovicka’, were found to be infected with only HSVd, representing 4.5% of tested apricot samples. These samples, determined to be positive by tissue-printing hybridization, were also positive by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) (1). In addition, nucleotide sequences of the PCR products were obtained. The ‘Bulida’ isolate showed 100% homology to a Spanish isolate, apr9, while the ‘Velkopavlovicka’ isolate showed 99% homology to an Italian isolate. Since HSVd has not been previously reported in Canada (4), to our knowledge, this report documents its first detection in the country. This report may prompt the inclusion of regular testing for HSVd in existing Prunus spp. virus testing programs in Canada. References: (1) N. Astruc et al. Eur. J. Plant Pathol. 102:837, 1996. (2) M. ABSTRACTKaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) is etiologically associated with Kaposi's sarcoma (KS), primary effusion lymphoma (PEL), and multicentric Castleman's disease. We have previously shown that KSHV utilizes the host transcription factor Nrf2 to aid in infection of endothelial cells and oncogenesis. Here, we investigate the role of Nrf2 in PEL and PEL-derived cell lines and show that KSHV latency induces Nrf2 protein levels and transcriptional activity through the COX-2/PGE2/EP4/PKCζ axis. Next-generation sequencing of KSHV transcripts in the PEL-derived BCBL-1 cell line revealed that knockdown of this activated Nrf2 results in global elevation of lytic genes. Nrf2 inhibition by the chemical brusatol also induces lytic gene expression. Both Nrf2 knockdown and brusatol-mediated inhibition induced KSHV lytic reactivation in BCBL-1 cells. In a series of follow-up experiments, we characterized the mechanism of Nrf2-mediated regulation of KSHV lytic repression during latency. Biochemical assays showed that Nrf2 interacted with KSHV latency-associated nuclear antigen 1 (LANA-1) and the host transcriptional repressor KAP1, which together have been shown to repress lytic gene expression. Promoter studies showed that although Nrf2 alone induces the open reading frame 50 (ORF50) promoter, its association with LANA-1 and KAP1 abrogates this effect. Interestingly, LANA-1 is crucial for efficient KAP1/Nrf2 association, while Nrf2 is essential for LANA-1 and KAP1 recruitment to the ORF50 promoter and its repression. Overall, these results suggest that activated Nrf2, LANA-1, and KAP1 assemble on the ORF50 promoter in a temporal fashion. Initially, Nrf2 binds to and activates the ORF50 promoter during earlyde novoinfection, an effect that is exploited during latency by LANA-1-mediated recruitment of the host transcriptional repressor KAP1 on Nrf2. Cell death assays further showed that Nrf2 and KAP1 knockdown induce significant cell death in PEL cell lines. Our studies suggest that Nrf2 modulation through available oral agents is a promising therapeutic approach in the treatment of KSHV-associated malignancies.IMPORTANCEKS and PEL are aggressive KSHV-associated malignancies with moderately effective, highly toxic chemotherapies. Other than ganciclovir and alpha interferon (IFN-α) prophylaxis, no KSHV-associated chemotherapy targets the underlying infection, a major oncogenic force. Hence, drugs that selectively target KSHV infection are necessary to eradicate the malignancy while sparing healthy cells. We recently showed that KSHV infection of endothelial cells activates the transcription factor Nrf2 to promote an environment conducive to infection and oncogenesis. Nrf2 is modulated through several well-tolerated oral agents and may be an important target in KSHV biology. Here, we investigate the role of Nrf2 in PEL and demonstrate that Nrf2 plays an important role in KSHV gene expression, lytic reactivation, and cell survival by interacting with the host transcriptional repressor KAP1 and the viral latency-associated protein LANA-1 to mediate global lytic gene repression and thus cell survival. Hence, targeting Nrf2 with available therapies is a viable approach in the treatment of KSHV malignancies.

Introduction: Children with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) may have a high early mortality when resources are limited by infrastructure or by a widespread worldwide crisis, as being faced with the SARS-Cov-2 pandemic. Many elective treatments were postponed, but newly diagnosed AML is a life-threatening disease that needs prompt therapy. With acute shortage of infra-structure as intensive care unit beds, blood supply, medication, healthcare personnel, an optimal therapy must balance anti-neoplastic efficacy and the chance of treatment-related mortality. The induction chemotherapy of pediatric patients with AML living in low- and middle-income countries has been thoroughly discussed because early mortality remains 10%-20%, much higher than in developed counties. Mild treatment schemas have been used in Japan, China and Latin America with impressive results, comparable to other intensive induction regimens. Our objective is to describe the results of this mild induction regimen used in Brazil to treat children simultaneously diagnosed with AML and Covid-19 infections. Methods: This is a retrospective multicentric trial including Brazilian children diagnosed with AML, also found to have a positive nasal and oropharyngeal PCR for SARS-Cov-2 and uniformly treated with mild induction protocol ("MAG") that included Mitoxantrone at 5 mg/m2, by i.v. infusion over 4 to 6 hours once a day on days 1, 3, and 5 (three doses in total), Cytarabine at 10 mg/m2, subcutaneous (s.c.), q 12 h for 10 days (20 doses in total) and G-CSF 5 𝜇g/kg, s.c., once a day for 10 days (10 doses in total) [Bansal D, et al. Pediatr Blood Cancer. 2019 Nov 27:e28087]. Results: From March 15 to July 1, 2020, nine children from four different institutions were diagnosed with AML (Table 1). Their median age was 9 years (range, 5 to 18), 6 female gender, all but one diagnosed with Covid-19 by nasal PCR; one had typical chest CT and positive IgM. The institutions had previously agreed on following the same induction when treating AML children infected by the SARS-Cov-2. Five of the nine had severe illness, three of them needed mechanical ventilation and one did not need supplementary oxygen despite radiologically diagnosed pneumonia. Two children had mild symptoms and two were completely asymptomatic. All children tolerated MAG chemotherapy. Neutropenia lasted for a median of 29 days (17-33) and none of them had neither thrombotic complications nor acute renal failure. All children recovered from the Covid-19 infection and 8 of 9 already evaluable children achieved complete remission of the leukemia with MRD 0-1% after the two planned cycles. All patients are alive, on therapy. All evaluable patients achieved remission and are currently proceeding therapy. The high prevalence of Covid-19 in our country may have to be taken into account in all oncological treatment strategies. With a shorter duration of neutropenia, the absence of mucositis or invasive fungal infections, MAG may be implemented in low- and middle-income countries as an optimal strategy to overcome induction mortality and improve outcome of children and adolescents with AML. Aim: Metabolic Syndrome (MetS), a significant risk factor for coronary artery disease (CAD), is now highly prevalent in South Asian countries, including Bangladesh. The diseases also affect young people. A large number of young populations with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) have MetS. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of MetS and the combination of components in patients with early age onset ACS (age ≤50 years). Methods: This prospective study comprised 678 consecutive patients age ≤50 years hospitalized for ACS during 2012-2013. The patients were categorized according to the criteria stated in the latest joint statement for the global definition of MetS. Results: Among 678 ACS patients, 236 (34.8%) patients have filled the criteria of MetS. The mean age was 42.4 ± 0.28 years. The prevalence of MetS was higher in females than in males (48.8% vs. 30.4%, p < 0.001). One component of MetS was found in 26.4%, two components in 29.8%, three or more components in 34.8% of young ACS study participants. Among the various components of MetS, low HDL and high TG were the crucial common components of MetS in young ACS patients in Bangladesh (low HDL: 51.9%, high TG: 44.8%). Conclusions: We conclude that the prevalence of MetSin patients with early age onset ACS (age ≤50 years) is high in Bangladesh. Since Low HDL and high TG are the most common components of MetSin our study, these biochemical parameters would be a clinical target for early treatment. Strategies are needed for the early detection and treatment of cardio-metabolic risk factors to prevent coronary artery disease progression and prognosis.

Climate change and the depletion of fossil fuel are no longer a growing concern, but the most time‐sensitive issues facing the society. In response to this, Ontario passed the Green Energy Act (GEA) intolaw in 2009 and introduced a number of initiatives to promote the “green economy” in the province, making it the first North American jurisdiction with an incentive system modelled after Germany’s feed‐in tariffs (FITs). Many believe that the GEA will improve the business conditions for clean technologyendeavours in Ontario; nonetheless, others doubt that people will be susceptible to the higher energyprice and claim that now is not the right time. This paper aims to critically assess the viability of themarket development for renewable energy as proposed by the GEA. Considering that it is relatively earlyto make any conclusion, the first part of this paper provides a brief summary of what the GEA entails andcompares it with the case of another jurisdiction after which the GEA was modelled – namely, Germany. In the second part, this paper closely examines the effects that the GEA has had on businesses in Ontario. More specifically, analysis of ongoing “green energy” projects is provided based on interviews withindustry professionals in both the public and the private sectors in the province.

This work examined the structural properties of concrete obtained bypartially replacing cement with sawdust ash. The sawdust ash which is apozzolan was obtained by burning sawdust which is a waste product fromprocessing of timber in an open air. The burnt ash was passed through a150 µm metric sieve to obtain the ash used. Physical and chemical analysiswere performed on the ash to verify its suitability as a partial substitute forcement in concrete. Chemical analysis was also carried out on the OrdinaryPortland Cement (OPC) sample. Concrete mixes were produced by replacing OPC with 0%, 5%, 10%, 20% and 30% of Sawdust Ash (SDA). Bothfresh and hardened properties of the concrete produced were investigated. The chemical investigation on the ash showed that it contained most ofthe basic compounds found in OPC making it suitable to serve as a partialsubstitute for OPC in concrete. Investigation on the concrete showed thatboth the workability and density of the concrete reduce as the SDA contentincreases. Analysis on the hardened concrete revealed that the compressivestrength of the concrete decreases as the ash content increases for the earlyages of curing. However, from 21 days curing age upwards, the compressive strength decreases as SDA increases up to 10% of SDA at which thecompressive strength jumped to a maximum value, and then starts reducingagain as the percentage SDA increases. Thus, the SDA concrete gained rapid strength at later ages indicating its pozzolanic activity.

In pre-sensitizing events, immunological memory is mainly createdviaindirect allorecognition where CD4+T cells recognize foreign peptides in the context of self-HLA class II (pHLA) presented on antigen-presenting cells. This recognition makes it possible for naive CD4+T-helper cells to differentiate into memory cells, resulting in the creation of further antibody memory. These responses contribute to effective secretion of donor-specific anti-HLA antibodies (DSA) after second encounters with the same peptide. Preformed donor-reactive CD4+memory T cells may induce early immune responses after transplantation; however, the tools to evaluate them are limited. This study evaluated shared T cell epitopes (TEs) between the pre-sensitizing and donor HLA using anin silicoassay, an alternative to estimate donor-reactive CD4+memory T cells before transplantation. In 578 living donor kidney transplants without preformed DSA, 69 patients had anti-HLA antibodies before transplantation. Of them, 40 had shared TEs and were estimated to have donor-reactive CD4+memory T cells.De novoDSA formation in the early phase was significantly higher in the shared TE-positive group than in the anti-HLA antibody- and shared TE-negative groups (p=0.001 and p=0.02, respectively). In conclusion, evaluation of shared TEs for estimating preformed donor-reactive CD4+memory T cells may help predict the risk of earlyde novoDSA formation after kidney transplantation.

Predicting the academic performance of students has been an important research topic in the Educational field. The main aim of a higher education institution is to provide quality education for students. One way to accomplish a higher level of quality of education is by predicting student’s academic performance and there by taking earlyre- medial actions to improve the same. This paper presents a system which utilizes machine learning techniques to classify and predict the academic performance of the students at the right time before the drop out occurs. The system first accepts the performance parameters of the basic level courses which the student had already passed as these parameters also influence the further study. To pre- dict the performance of the current program, the system continuously accepts the academic performance parame- ters after each academic evaluation process. The system employs machine learning techniques to study the aca- demic performance of the students after each evaluation process. The system also learns the basic rules followed by the University for assessing the students. Based on the present performance of the students, the system classifies the students into different levels and identify the students at high risk. Earlier prediction can help the students to adopt suitable measures in advance to improve the per for- man ce. The systems can also identify the factor saffecting the performance of the same students which helps them to take remedial measures in advance.

The aim of the study - to study the clinical features and indicators for asthma control inoverweight children to optimize treatment strategies.Material and methods. 200 schoolchildren with asthma who were treated in the pulmoallergy department of the Chernivtsi Regional Children's Clinical Hospital have beenexamined. 52 patients with excess body weight (body mass index was greater than 25,0)belonged to group I, and children with body weight corresponding to the age norm (bodymass index from 18,0 to 24,9) were included into clinical group II under observation.Results. It has been found that the average number of points according to the ASTquestionnaire in patients of group I reached 14,0 ± 1,33 points, and in the comparisongroup – 16,3 ± 0,54 points (p˃0,05). At the same time, the share of patients withuncontrolled course of the disease among the overweight children reached 61,5% incomparison to 48,3% in the comparison group (p˃0,05).Indices of the risk of uncontrolled asthma (the sum of AST test scores <16) in childrenwith overweight have shown the following results: odds ratio = 1,6 (95% CI: 0,29-8,59),relative risk = 1,4 95% CI: 1,00-2,08) and attributive risk = 6,8%. Before treatment theindex of AKDNFG - 2,4 dinitrophenylhydrazones (AKDNFG) of the main character in thegroup of excess body weight children was 60,8 mmol /g of protein, and in group of normalbody weight children – 59,6 ± 9 mmol /g of protein. After the course of basic therapy, these indices gave next results – 47,2 ± 4,18 mmol/g of protein in group I and 4,3 ± 0,29mmol /g of protein (p> 0,05) in group II.Conclusions. Bronchial asthma in overweight children is more likely to debut at an earlyage and characterized by a persistent course. Predisposition to the body overweight inpatients with bronchial asthma has a negative effect on the indices of the disease controlachievement, although it is accompanied by an evidence decrease of the inflammatoryprocess of the respiratory tract in the course of treatment.

Background: For many years, significant effort has been placed on training students in CPR earlyto develop a generation of bystanders willing to act during a cardiac arrest event. This traininghas focused on chest compression only CPR (CCO-CPR) to increase provision and decreasebarriers. More recently, with the increase in opioid overdoses, there is a need for CPR withrescue breathing. It is unclear whether college students are willing to provide compressionswith rescue breaths (conventional CPR). The objective of this study is to evaluate the intentionof college students to perform conventional CPR and determine the characteristics associatedwith CPR performance. Methods: A two-page survey was administered to Ohio State University undergraduatestudents in pre-health and non-health related career paths from Jan 2018-Dec 2019.Respondents’ demographic data were collected including age, sex, CPR training, family risk ofcardiac arrest and the student’s career path. Respondents were asked their attitudes concerningperforming CPR (conventional or hands-only CPR) on strangers. Inclusion criteria were age >17and missing < 10% of survey data. Descriptive statistics were calculated and a multivariablelogistic regression model (OR, 95% CI) was constructed to assess the association between thelikelihood of performing CPR on a stranger and demographic characteristics. Results: Surveys were received from 883 students (response rate 74%). The student populationhad a high rate of CPR training with 57% (482) with either CCO-CPR or conventional CPRtraining. A large number of students were also studying to be in a healthcare related field (529,60%). Overall, college students reported that they would perform CCO-CPR more thanconventional CPR on a stranger (78% vs 56%, respectively). Odds of performing conventionalCPR on a stranger was elevated in college students trained in CPR (5.16, 3.82-6.99), studying in ahealthcare related field (1.78, 1.31-2.43), and with a family member at risk for cardiac arrest(1.49, 1.07-2.07). Conclusion: College students are willing to perform conventional CPR on strangers and thelikelihood of provision increases with CPR training, healthcare field of study, or having at riskfamily members.

Indiana limestone, known to geologists as the Salem Limestone,is quarried in a narrow 30-mile-long area of south-central Indiana that is alsohome to Indiana University. Gracing up to 75 percent of all limestonebuildings in North America, this stone is known for its particularstrength, durability, and ageless beauty, and clads the nation’s most eminentbuildings, including the Empire State Building, Pentagon, andNational Cathedral. For more than 100 years, this local stone hasbeen used for buildings on the Bloomingtoncampus. Beginning in 1890 with Maxwell Hall,to 2017 and the completion of Luddy Hall, home of the School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, nearly all academic buildingshave been built of Indiana limestone. Architectural styles on campus span threecenturies. From the highly ornate carvings andpointed arches that define Collegiate Gothicarchitecture to the streamlined Art Deco styleof the early 1900s, the beauty of the campusreflects the skills of local stone artisans. In1979, the National Register of Historic Placesadded the Old Crescent portion of campus toits list to ensure its preservation. Walking around campus, you’ll see manycarvings on the exteriors of the buildings. Fish, maize, and chemical symbols can be foundon the science buildings on the south side ofcampus, while decorative scrolls of text adornseveral of the art buildings to the east. Themost common carved figure on campus is theowl, a symbol of learning and education, andtwelve are scattered on various buildings. Today, the history of Indiana’s limestone legacyis preserved in several campus collections andarchives. Most of the photographs used for themosaic on this calendar belong to the IndianaLimestone Photograph Collection. Curated bythe Indiana Geological and Water Survey since2012, this impressive archive consists of morethan 26,000 architectural photos depictingquarries, mills, and buildings from the earlyto mid-1900s. The digitized photographs arestored on IU Libraries Image Collections Online(http://go.iu.edu/16dx). Other photos in the mosaic are from researchand outreach efforts and the collections of theIndiana Geological and Water Survey.

Kata Kunci: pendidikan seks, perspektif gender, anak usia dini, sexual abuse A MODEL AND MATERIAL OF SEX EDUCATION FOR EARLY-AGED-CHILDREN OF GENDER PERSPERCTIVE TO PREVENT SEXUAL ABUSE Abstract: Sexual abuse occurring on the early-aged student of Jakarta International School made us realize on the importance of developing sex education materials for early-aged child. This study was aimed to find a model and material for sex education for early-aged children of gender perspective. The data source was the teachers of kindergartens. The steps of the study was identifying sexual abuse on the early-aged children; identifying needs, potentials, sex education of early-aged children of gender perspective; conducting FGD workshop model. The model and material were validated by involving psychologists and education experts. The findings showed that the material of sex education for earlyaged children covered the themes: (1) My body and I; (2) My Clothes and I; (3) Family and My Surrounding; and (4) The Way to Care and Preserve Body. The intructional model used the role play technique. The developed product validated by experts belonged to the good category covering the cognitive, affective, and psychomotoric domains. Keywords: sex education, gender perspective, early-aged-child, sexual abuse

Background: Systemic hypertension is known to affect the right ventricle in addition to its wide-ranging effects on left ventricular structure and function. Whether upper-normal increments in systemic blood pressure (BP), sampled by ABPM, exert any effect on right ventricular function is, however, unknown at this point. Methods: Left (LV) and right ventricular (RV) diastolic longitudinal function were assessed by pulsed-wave TDI sampled at mitral (early:Em MIT and late:Am MIT ) and tricuspid (Em TRIC and Am TRIC ) annular level in a group of 98 (37F/61M, age: 46 ± 14yrs) otherwise normal subjects with office BP values ranging from the optimal (< 120/80 mmHg) to the mild hypertensive (140–160/90–100 mmHg) range. RV free wall (FWT) and interventricular septum thickness (IVST), LV ejection fraction (EF), TRIC annulus plane systolic excursion (TAPSE, an index of RV systolic function), LV mass index (MI, g/m 2.7 ) were evaluated by standard methods. The sample was stratified by ascending 24-hr systolic(S) BP tertiles (cutoffs:117 and 130 mmHg, I:110 ± 7/68 ± 7, II:125 ± 4/77 ± 7, III:139 ± 7/87 ± 8 mmHg) and analyzed accordingly. Results : Em TRIC decreased significantly at each increasing 24-hr SBP stratum (I:15.9 ± 2.8, II:12. ± 3.1, III:10.9 ± 3.6 cm/sec, I vs II p < 0.01, II vs III p < 0.01) in parallel with consensual reductions in Em MIT (I:11.1 ± 2.8, II:8.7 ± 2.9, III:8.3 ± 2.6 cm/sec, I vs II & III p < 0.001). RVFWT (I:3.5 ± 0.6, II:4.0 ± 1.1, III:3.6 ± 0.9 mm, NS) and LVMI (I:38.6 ± 8.3, II: 41.3 ± 6.6, III: 43.0 ± 9.1 g/m 2.7 , NS) did not change in contrast to the graded, BP-related thickeness of IVS (I: 7.9 ± 1.1, II: 9.3 ± 1.25, III: 10.3 ± 1.34 mm, I vs II: p = 0.001, II vs III: p = 0.001). Intra-individually (n = 98), Em TRIC associated with 24-hr SBP (r =−0.52, p < 0.001), IVST (r = −0.63, p < 0.001) and Em MIT (r = 0.41, p < 0.001) but only the two latter (IVST: t = 5.5, p < 0.0001; Em MIT : t = 2.8, p = 0.006) were independent predictors of Em TRIC when entered in a multiple regression model. Conclusions : Systemic BP increments still within the normal range associate with echocardiographic evidence of RV diastolic longitudinal dysfunction. Interventricular septum thickening appears to be the main determinant of that behavior, possibly as an expression on interventricular dependence.
