La conscience phonologique (CP) est une habileté d’éveil à l’écrit au préscolaire qui peut prédire le succès ultérieur en littératie au début du primaire. Cette habileté permet de reconnaître, de discriminer et de manipuler les sons de sa langue (Anthony et Francis, 2005). Cependant, des études ont démontré que de nombreux manuels de référence pour la formation des enseignants et programmes d’intervention en CP utilisés par ces derniers contiennent de l’information incorrecte ou incomplète (Hayward et collab., 2014; Smith et collab., 2001). Ces études ont été faites avec du matériel de langue anglaise et, à la connaissance des auteurs, il n’y a aucune étude qui a été faite sur ce sujet avec du matériel de langue française. Il existe des différences structurelles importantes entre ces deux langues (Duncan et collab., 2013; Duncan, et collab., 2006) et le matériel de langue française en CP est souvent basé sur la recherche effectuée en anglais ou est directement traduit de l’anglais. Il est donc raisonnable de supposer qu’il est fort probable que le matériel en français contienne un nombre d’inexactitudes ou d’omissions encore plus élevé. Il serait important d’identifier les omissions et les erreurs contenues dans le matériel en CP de langue française afin d’améliorer celui-ci et éventuellement de contribuer à l’amélioration des connaissances en CP chez les enseignants. L’optimisation des méthodes d’enseignement de la CP est nécessaire pour soutenir un développement solide des habiletés de lecture et d’écriture des élèves fréquentant l’école en français.

In the 1920s – 1930s, from 20 thousand to 30 thousand Dungans lived in the Central Asian republics of the USSR. A course was taken to create a Dungan alphabet based on Latin graphics. In 1928, the Dungan alphabet was adopted on the ‘all-Soviet’ basis. However, in the early 1930s, it was decided that it was necessary to change the Dungan alphabet – primarily because of the need to solve the problem of ‘unification’ of this alphabet on a ‘common Soviet’ or ‘English’ basis, on which the Chinese alphabet developed in the USSR was based. In July 1932 at a conference in Frunze there was adopted a new version of the Dungan alphabet, which, however, was not unified with the Chinese and remained within the framework of the ‘all-Soviet’ standard. Meanwhile, the question of the political importance of the unification of the Dungan and Chinese alphabets was raised again in subsequent years. Nevertheless, in the end, it was decided to leave the Dungan alphabet on the basis of ‘all-Soviet’ standards. Thus, the inconsistency of approaches to the Dungan language and alphabet manifested itself in the constant attempts of Soviet structures engaged in ‘language buidling’ to maintain a balance between domestic and foreign policy goals. However, such throwing, in fact, did not end with any result. The change in the situation in China after 1937 led to the final rejection of the unification of the Dungan and Chinese alphabets. On the other hand, by the end of the 1930s, the problem of Latinization of writing had also lost its relevance in the USSR. In 1953 a new Dungan alphabet was adopted on the Russian basis, which this people still use.

This paper discusses extensive language contact and its results in Kazakhstani Gansu Dungan, a divergent variety of Mandarin Chinese. Based primarily on recorded conversational source materials, this study offers a contact linguistic overview of the language, introducing both phonological and morphosyntactic contact phenomena. It is shown that Kazakhstani Gansu Dungan is currently under extensive Russian influence. The influence permeates all layers of the language and exceeds lexical borrowing mentioned in earlier Dungan studies. For instance, clause combining and complex clauses in Dungan have shifted to the direction of a Russian model, which makes the language stand out among other Sinitic varieties. This study demonstrates that, in addition to introducing new structures, extensive Russian influence on Dungan also reinforces earlier development that has led the language further away from the Sinitic prototype. In all, Kazakhstani Gansu Dungan forms its own kind of divergent Russianized Sinitic variety and thus offers a contribution to both researching language contact in the Russophone world and to understanding the typological diversity of Sinitic languages.

Pemberian Makanan Tambahan Anak Sekolah (PMT-AS) adalah kegiatan pemberian makanan kepada peserta didik sekolah dasar dalam bentuk kudapan yang aman dan bergizi. Kukis memiliki tekstur serta rasa yang enak, cocok untuk dijadikan makanan selingan pada anak-anak sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan sebagai diversifikasi produk pangan lokal penunjang (PMT-AS). Penelitian ini disusun menggunakan (RAL) satu faktor dengan 4 taraf perlakuan dan 2 kali ulangan. Analisis produk meliputi uji kimia, sensori, hedonik. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji sidik ragam dengan uji lanjut Duncan pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil kukis produk terpilih, kadar air 3,81%, kadar abu 0,12%, serat kasar 24,57%, lemak 14,17%, protein 10,96%, karbohidrat 70,92%. Mutu sensori berupa warna kuning kecoklatan, aroma tidak langu, rasa manis dan tidak langu, tekstur renyah serta memiliki penilaian hedonik kearah suka. Karakteristik mutu sensori, hedonik, dan kimia yang memenuhi persyaratan, sehingga kukis tepung kedelai dan biji bunga matahari dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif PMT-AS dengan pemenuhan asupan gizi mencapai 91,01%.

Sari kacang kedelai merupakan cairan berwarna putih seperti susu hasil ekstraksi sari kacang kedelai. Bau langu yang dihasilkan oleh sari kacang kedelai membuat sebagian orang tidak menyukai sari kacang kedelai. Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi bau langu adalah dengan cara fermentasi. Yoghurt sari kacang kedelai dengan penambahan pasta hidrolisat ubi jalar ungu dapat menambah daya prebiotik yang mendukung pertumbuhan bakteri asam laktat. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui profil yogurt sari kacang kedelai dengan penambahan pasta ubi jalar ungu yang dihidrolisis secara enzimatis. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan 6 taraf perlakuan dengan penambahan pasta ubi jalar ungu (0%; 2%; 4%; 6%; 8%; dan 10%). Faktor yang digunakan merupakan penambahan pasta hidrolisat ubi jalar ungu Ayamurasaki. Analisis karakteristik produk yogurt meliputi uji pH, total asam laktat, total bakteri asam laktat, kadar air, kadar abu, kadar protein dan kadar lemak serta uji organoleptik meliputi uji hedonik dan mutu sensori. Analisis data menggunakan Anova dengan uji lanjut Duncan dengan selang kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa yogurt dengan penambahan 6% pasta ubi jalar mempuyai karakter kimia untuk pH 4,03 – 4,33; total asam laktat 0,66 – 0,85%; total bakteri asam laktat 3,57×108 – 3,22 ×109 koloni/ mL; kadar air 86,18 – 86,74%; kadar abu 0,54 – 0,66%; kadar protein 3,46-3,59%; kadar lemak 2,11-2,18%.

Kukis yang memiliki tekstur serta rasa yang enak dan cocok untuk dijadikan makanan selingan pada anak-anak sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan sebagai diversifikasi produk pangan lokal penunjang PMT-AS serta sebagai alternatif intoleransi gluten. Penelitian ini disusun menggunakan (RAL) satu faktor dengan 4 taraf perlakuan dan 2 kali ulangan. Analisis produk merujuk kepada regulasi pangan yaitu SNI 2973-2022 Tentang Biskuit, meliputi uji kimia, uji sensori, dan pemenuhan asupan gizi sebagai PMT-AS. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji sidik ragam dengan uji lanjut Duncan pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Perbandingan tepung kedelai dan tepung biji bunga matahari berpengaruh meningkatkan mutu kimia dan sensori. Penggunaan tepung biji bunga matahari 30% menghasilkan kukis dengan mutu kimia memenuhi standar kukis, yaitu memiliki kadar air (3,81%) di bawah maksimal 5%, abu (0,12%) sedikit di atas maksimal 0,1%, protein (10,96%) di atas minimal 4,5%, serta tinggi kadar lemak (14,17), karbohidrat (70,92%), dan serat kasar (24,57%). Kukis terpilih memiliki mutu sensori warna kuning kecoklatan, aroma tidak langu, rasa manis dan tidak langu, tekstur renyah, serta nilai hedonik kearah suka pada semua atribut sensori. Kukis terpilih dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif PMT-AS dengan pemenuhan asupan gizi mencapai 91,01%.

Salah satu jenis makanan yang banyak diminati masyarakat adalah kue kering. Kue kring umumnya dibuat dari tepung terigu, air, margarin, dan gula. Penelitian bertujuan untuk diversifikasi pangan halal berupa kue kering berbahan tepung campolay dan mocaf. Rancangan Acak Lengkap satu faktor digunakan dalam percobaan ini yaitu perbandingan tepung campolay dan mocaf (10%:90%, 20%:80%, 30%:70%, 40%:60%). ANOVA dengan Uji Lanjut Duncan dengan selang kepercayaan 95% digunakan untuk analisis data penelitian. Kue kering dengan perbandingan 90% tepung mocaf dan 10% tepung campolay memiliki kadar karbohidrat 64,59%, kadar lemak 27,49%, kadar protein 3,73%, kadar air 1,46%, kadar abu 2,72%, kadar serat kasar 12,19%, dan kadar asam lemak bebas 0,06%. Uji mutu sensori menunjukkan kue kering berwarna kuning keemasan, aroma tidak langu, tekstur ke arah renyah, dan rasa tidak getir. Parameter warna, rasa, aroma, tekstur dan overall cenderung sangat disukai oleh panelis.

Tepung sukun merupakan tepung yang bebas gluten sehingga baik digunakan sebagai alternative dalam pembuatan biscuit didapupadankan dengan formula tempe, dimana kandungan formula tempe tinggi akan protein yang kaya akan asam amino esensial. Formulasi tepung sukun dan formula tempe diolah menjadi biscuit sukun dan tempe (SUTE) menjadi panganan sehat yang diperuntukkan kepada anak balita dan tidak menutup kemungkinan menjadi pangan sehat bagi masyarakat Indonesia. Penelitian ini mengenai pemanfaatan buah sukun dan tempe sebagai bahan pangan fungsional bagi anak balita oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesukaan panelis terhadap setiap formulasi biscuit SUTE. Setiap formulasinya dilakukan uji proksimat dan dilakukan uji organoleptic. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis Duncan dan Kruskal Wallis Test. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan proposive sampling. Biskuit SUTE tersukai adalah formulasi sample 2 dengan formulasi tepung sukun 50 gr dan formula tempe 50 gr dengan penilaian uji organoleptic disukai. Kandungan gizi biscuit sute sampel 2 per 100 gr, protein 11,28%, kadar abu 1.43%, lemak 32,79%, air 8,87% dan karbohidrat 45,63%. Biscuit sute sampel 2 disukai karna mempunyai rasa dan aroma yang tidak begitu pahit dan langu dibandingkan biscuit sute sampel 1 dan biscuit sute sampel 3

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh rasio perbandingan tepung tepung kentang, tepung tempe, dan tepung umbi talas terhadap sifat sensori perkedel serta mengetahui sifat kimia produk terpilih. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rangkaian Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan empat taraf yaitu perbandingan tepung kentang, tepung tempe, dan tepung umbi talas (50:10:40; 50:20:30; 50:30:20; 50:40:10). Analisis produk terpilih meliputi uji organoleptik (uji mutu sensori dan uji hedonik) dan uji kimia (kadar air, kadar abu, kadar lemak, kadar protein, kadar karbohidrat, serat kasar). Analisis data yang digunakan adalah ANOVA dengan uji lanjut Duncan. Perkedel terpilih adalah perlakuan A1 dengan nilai mutu sensori dan hedonik yang tertinggi. Nilai mutu sensori parameter warna cenderung ke arah coklat (8,5), aroma cenderung ke arah tidak langu (9,0), rasa cenderung ke arah tidak pahit (8,8), tekstur cenderung ke arah kompak (9,2). Nilai hasil uji hedonik menyatakan kesukaan terhadap warna 7,8, aroma 8,1, rasa 7,3, tekstur 6,3, dan overall 7,0. Hasil analisis kimia produk terpilih mempunyai kadar air 12,51%, kadar abu 2,90%, kadar lemak 10,49%, kadar protein 11,75%, kadar karbohidrat 59,36%, dan serat kasar 9,64%.

Introduction. The history of the Sart Kalmyks in Przhevalsky Uyezd of Semirechenskaya Oblast — referred to as Kalmyks, Qara Kalmyks, Olets, Sart Kalmyks — remains understudied. Goals. The study seeks to reveal the history of emergence and strengthening of Kalmyks in the Semirechye Region from the late 15th century to the collapse of the Dzungar Khanate — and further to their return to Semirechye after the Dungan Revolt in Ghulja and annexation of the territory by the Russian Empire. Materials and methods. The article employs both general scientific and specific historical research methods, including that of source studies. The work analyzes materials from central archives of Russia and Kazakhstan, a main emphasis be laid on the correspondence between uyezd, oblast executives — and the administrative office of Russian Turkestan regarding the arrival of Kalmyks in the Semirechye Region and related supporting arrangements. Results. Kalmyks had started inhabiting Semirechye in the late 16th and 17th centuries as subjects of the Dzungar Khanate. The final resettlement of those Kalmyks to the Russian Empire took place in the 1960s–1890s after the Dungan (Taranchi) Revolt. The Russian administration facilitated the arrival of Kalmyks in Semirechenskaya Oblast and rendered them material assistance. The documents reveal what role the Kalmyks played in the structure of China’s border troops, their main occupations. However, after the restoration of Chinese power in Ghulja the bulk of the Kalmyks returned to China, only a small group remained to be referred to by Russian officials as ‘Sart Kalmaks’ and settled in Issyk-Kul (Przhevalsky) Uyezd. Conclusions. In the late 19th century, Sart Kalmyks founded the villages of Chelpek and Ber-Bash in Przhevalsky Uyezd and continued to maintain their traditional economies.

Wheat flour is highly used as a main material of processing bread, one of the developments is bagelen bread. The intent of this study is to innovate bagelen dried-bread product with the proportion of chickpea flour, increasing protein (based on SNI) and fibre content. This research was using a one-factor Complete Randomized Design (RAL) method, 2 repeats, with wheat flour: chickpea flour treatment rates each are 100%:0%, 90%:10%, 80%:20%, 70%:30%. ANOVA variance and Duncan test were carried out with a 95% confidence interval. The results of the data analysis stated that the substitution of chickpea flour had a significant effect on protein and fibre level, sensory and hedonic quality, but it has no noticeable effect on the moisture level. The selected product is bagelen dried-bread with the proportion of 80% wheat flour and 20% chickpea flour with moisture content of 6,09%, protein 9,93%, crude fibre 29,5%, ash 1.49%, fat 29.97%, carbohydrate 52.50%, total calorie value of 519,53 kcal. Based on the results of sensory quality tests, bagelen dried-bread was obtained with more brownish-yellowish color, bagelen smell, chickpea smell, baked smell, not smelled langu, tasted sweet like bagelen, chickpea taste, more crispy texture. By hedonic tests, panelists tend to like the color, odor, taste, crispiness, and overalls of the product.

Pemanfaatan tepung daun kelor dan tepung kacang hijau yang mengandung protein dan zat besi dapat mencegah terjadinya anemia pada remaja putri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh substitusi tepung daun kelor dan tepung kacang hijau terhadap kandungan gizi dan sifat organoleptik brownies panggang. Jenis penelitian eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Formulasi brownies panggang terdiri dari 3 perbandingan tepung daun kelor dan tepung kacang hijau yaitu : F1 (25% : 50%), F2 (30% : 55%), F3 (35% : 60%). Data kadar abu, lemak, protein, karbohidrat, zat besi dianalisis dengan uji Anova dan uji lanjut Duncan. Data kadar air dan organoleptik dianalisis dengan uji Kruskal Wallis dan uji lanjut Man Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh nyata kandungan gizi dan organoleptik (hedonik: warna, tekstur, mouthfeel, aftertaste, dan mutu hedonik: rasa, mouthfeel, aftertaste). Hasil uji kandungan gizi brownies panggang setiap formulasi (F1, F2, F3) secara berurutan yaitu kadar air 20,29%; 21,03%; 21,87%; kadar abu 3,09%; 2,79%; 2,83%; lemak 12,31%; 13,22%; 12,02%; protein 10,91%; 10,42%; 10,81%; karbohidrat 53,39%; 52,52%; 52,63%; dan zat besi 4,45%; 4,31%; 4,09%. Formulasi terpilih F2 mengandung energi per takaran saji (50 g), yaitu 211,42 kkal, lemak 6,61 g, protein 5,21 g, karbohidrat 26,26 g, dan zat besi 2,15 mg. Brownies panggang F2 memiliki warna hijau tua, beraroma langu, tekstur agak keras, rasa agak enak, mouthfeel agak lembut, dan aftertaste sedang dengan penerimaan organoleptik kurang disukai. Produk sudah memenuhi %AKG remaja putri usia 16–18 tahun dan dapat diklaim sebagai sumber zat besi.

Students of the sonnets are no doubt aware that they abound in wordplay that rewards multiple readings. They may be less aware, especially if they are unfamiliar with the original 1609 Quarto edition, that the poems may have been arranged to have a visual impact as well. The sonnet form itself is emblematic of a number of familiar referents, including an escutcheon, a “glass” (mirror), a leaf, and a seal. One might even see in the poems, as did Lady Mary Worth and John Donne in their “crowns” of sonnets, the links in a chain, or necklace. The sonnet form is roughly the poetic equivalent to the portrait miniature (a fad of the day) in art. I shall be pursuing these analogies in my paper. The most striking visual effect occurs in Sonnet 126, the last of the “fair youth” sonnets, which consists of six rhymed couplets followed by two empty sets of brackets. Katherine Duncan-Jones and others have, in recent years, argued authorial intent for this alleged “printer’s error.” Duncan-Jones suggests that the open parentheses may signify the poet and the fair youth’s “failure to couple,” while John Lennard sees in them “the silence of the grave.” I hope to demonstrate that, by thinking in visual terms, we might one day be able to unlock the story behind the most enigmatic verse sequence in English poetry.

Summary This article assesses Francis Whyte Ellis’s (1777–1819) “Note to the Introduction” to Alexander Duncan Campbell’s (1789–1857) Grammar of the Teloogoo Language (1816) in the context of the history of comparative linguistics in India. The idea of a ‘South Indian family of languages’, later named ‘Dravidian’ by Robert Caldwell in 1856, was first proposed by Ellis in 1816, and so a case could be made to claim for him the beginnings of a comparative methodology in the study of Dravidian languages. Until now, in the history of comparative Dravidian linguistics Caldwell (1814–1891) has been celebrated as the pioneer in this field. The present study attempts to establish Ellis’s rightful place in this history by critically evaluating his contribution. The careful examination of the data presented by Ellis indeed suggests that he should be regarded as the discoverer of the Dravidian family of languages well before Caldwell.

Abstract Opening with James Weldon Johnson’s discourse on artistic greatness, I discuss William Dean Howells’s assessment of Paul Laurence Dunbar and Charles W. Chesnutt through the lens of the convertibility of literary capital, developed with Pierre Bourdieu. From within the racial taxonomy and with white middle-class readers as implied addressees, Howells conceives of both writers as participating in a literary market, a field structured by the tenets of realism. Howells endows Dunbar with universal literary capital and creates a regional affiliation that breaches the color line, before he singles out his poems written in vernacular notation as lasting contributions and asserts the valence of such notation as general poetic practice. On Chesnutt he bestows literary capital by marking and converting two innovations: the genre of the short story and the representation of a world in-between the racial divide. In turn, the convertibility of that world is secured by a comparison of social class habits.
