The article analyzes the methodological potential of drama in modern socio-philosophical research. It is shown that the theoretical reconstruction of the drama model allows us to talk about the dramatic approach in the study and explanation of society, and the morphological analysis of the structure reveals its methodological potential for studying crises in society. Our focus is on the socio-philosophical study of drama. The subject allowed us to appreciate philosophy’s complex, contradictory nature and history with its gains and losses. It also overcomes simplistic and excessive ideologization in the interpretation of the intellectual process of European culture. Our analysis of the concept of drama reveals the differences between the concept of social dramatization and the dramatic approach of I. We examine Hoffman’s approach describing the analysis’s main stages, which is necessary to positively answer whether drama has all the aspects of social dramatization in its invariant structure.

This article aims to study the ethnomusicological characteristics/expressions of a ritual drama in Sri Lanka that has lacked comprehensive research conducted about it so far; the Maraa-Ipaddima (Killing and Resurrection) ritual drama. This ritual drama is performed in reverence to the Goddess Pattini, who holds a special place in Sri Lankan culture and society for personal and social well-being such as fertility, health, and protection. The study employs a qualitative research method using both primary and secondary sources. The data has been collected through field observations, structured and semi-structured interviews, case study analysis, and literature reviewing. Study outcomes show that the ethnomusicological aspects of the ritual drama are expressed through kavi (poetic verses) sung while performing drama, traditional musical instruments, costumes, dance, and harmony. The study helped to understand the ethnomusicological expression of ritual drama performed, and it is also evident that the musical expressions performed in the ritual drama also work as a treatment in the collective healing of people (catharsis).

At the end of the 20th – the beginning of the 21st century there were serious changes in the poetics of drama, defining the strategy of artistic forms and features of artistic consciousness. This gives the right to single out the history of the “new drama” in a separate period of the literary and theatrical process. A new book by the Belarusian researcher S.Ya. Goncharova-Grabovskaya “Modern Russian Dramaturgy (late 20th – early 21st century)” is devoted to generalization and comprehension of this period, which is considered and announced in the presented review. The book examines the main trends in the development of the Russian drama at the turn of the 20-21st centuries: the history of the emergence of the “new drama” movement, aspects of poetics (hero, conflict, chronotope, language), genre-style vector (social drama, documentary drama, monodrama, remake plays, drama of the absurd) – all that defines the specific features of the modern dramaturgical process. The focus is on the plays of famous playwrights, which have been staged in theaters in Russia and Belarus, have received positive reviews in criticism. The peculiarity of the reviewed book is that it analyzes modern Belarusian drama, traces its connection with the Russian. The book includes overview chapters reflecting the genre and style parameters of drama, a list of plays, information about playwrights, control questions and assignments. The scientific and methodological publication under review is expected to be in high demand not only in the philological environment, but also among theater critics and theater historians.

This article explores the use of sexuality as a tool to achieve power and status by the characters in Edward Albee's drama Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? In this drama, the characters ignore the values of marriage, love, and sex in order to dominate others or control the situation for their intended goal. Reading Michel Foucault's discursive nature of power based on his work The History of Sexuality, Vol. 1: An Introduction, this study has justified the characters use of trivial sexual games and their motives to obtain power and status in a highly intellectual society. The characters of Albee's drama are prone to exercise power using their own sexuality. Negotiating and subverting the roles of gender and sexuality in private/public sexual games, they frequently foreground to fulfill personal desire in the existing social milieu. To unveil these aspects, this article has interpreted Albee’s drama with the theoretical dimension of power and sexuality postulated by Foucault, and has applied the content analysis method.

The concept of social performance is a major theoretical innovation of the strong program in cultural sociology, championed by Jeffrey C. Alexander. This article offers a critical assessment of Alexander’s last four monographs on political performances with the explicit aim of contributing to the future development of the performance approach. After an outline of Alexander’s theory of performance, I continue to discuss his book-length empirical contributions, highlighting the innovations introduced by each study. Confronting Alexander’s research strategies with his theoretical framework, I propose a recalibration of his ‘liberal’ sociology of performance, bringing ‘conservative’ aspects of political culture back in, first of all particularity and historicity. This entails a rethinking of performance effects in terms of ‘resonances’ attuned to particular audiences and a deeper hermeneutic engagement with specific historical backgrounds of collective representations in order to overcome the one-sidedness of Alexander’s constructivist approach.

This article investigates the trajectory of the Grêmio Dramático, Recreativo e Literário Elite da Liberdade (the Liberdade Elite Guild of Drama, Recreation, and Literature), a black club active in São Paulo, Brazil, from 1919 to 1927. The aim is to reconstruct aspects of the club’s history in light of its educational discourse on civility, which was used as a strategy to promote modern virtues in the black milieu. By appropriating the precepts of civility, Elite da Liberdade helped construct a positive black identity, enabled the creation of bonds of solidarity among its members, and made itself a place of resistance and struggle for social inclusion, recognition, and citizens’ rights.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the aspects, meanings, and limitations of the family in the television drama Thirty, Nine. In Korean society, the framework of “normal family” became a standard for discriminating against the forms of family that did not meet this, but recent changes in social perceptions are reflected in the aspects of family in television dramas. Thirty, Nine presents care and intimacy as the standard of a new family. It is emphasized that the family does not consist solely of blood ties by dealing with the issue of adoption. This work divides the good and bad composition of characters based on their perceptions and attitudes toward the family and omits specific conflict situations. It also distorts the real reality in that commitment to each other is mainly based on strong economic power and time. In addition, the main characters choose marriage based on heterosexual relationships at the end. It deals with the problem of adoption within this typical family structure of parents and children. This shows that various imaginations of the family are not fully realized in television dramas.

Abstract: The analysis of a text written by Júlia Lopes de Almeida, which remained unpublished and unknown for a long time, seeks to represent the role played by women in Brazilian dramaturgy history, contributing not only to recover a part of the countless voices muted by official historiography, but also to show that there are decisive contributions by Brazilian playwrights in the history of our negative formation. Such contributions occurred despite the fact that the social organization of theatrical production has systematically excluded the participation of women over the centuries. Furthermore, we will try to demonstrate that Vai raiar o sol expresses, through the displacement of several procedures that mark the hegemonic model of bourgeois drama, important historical aspects of the situation of working women during the long Brazilian twentieth century. Keywords: Dramaturgy; Brazilian theater; critical theory.

Theory of the origin of ritual theater is still the most credible theory on the development of drama in the world. Rituals in terms of function, construction and even implementation are very close to drama, so that at times they cannot be clearly separated. Now the question is that what are the dramatic elements of the “Qanbar’s Elegy” ritual in Fasa, Iran? The present study answered the question by referring to the history of the world and Iran. The rituals are a form of knowledge and a means of recording events and sanctities. Since the Ta’zieh of Qanbar’s Elegy unites the audience, who are also the actors, through a social and creative activity, and equalizes the individual truth of the participants with the cosmic truth, it could have the required elements of play; elements such as location, performers, dramatic movement and the audience. The present research paper has tried to review the dramatic aspects of Qanbar’s Elegy ritual in the city of Fasa in a descriptive analytical way.

ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The terminology used in segregationist discourse that South Africa is a combination of 'first world' and 'third world' elements has been appropriated from an international discourse about problems of world-wide socio-economic development. The terms are used to describe the sophisticated metropolitan areas inhabited by highly developed whites and simple, backward, isolated, rural regions occupied by undeveloped or underdeveloped blacks. However, in South Africa this dual world metaphor, which has socio-political implications that have brought great misfortune to blacks, was institutionalised by apartheid, with the consequences that blacks have expressed their resistance in what became known as the 'struggle' against the dualist system. Selected South African and African films whose themes have a bearing on such a socio-economic system are explored in this thesis. A supplementary exploration of films dealing with the theme of the 'struggle', which has become a metaphor for the 'generations of resistance', has been undertaken by means ofa detailed analysis. The interpretation of 'development' in this thesis finds a link betweeen the dualist paradigm, the perpetuation of poverty and the migratory labour system. The peculiar relationship which the 'struggle' has had with the cultures of black people, in which there is a mutual influence between the 'struggle' and the nature of these cultures, is explored in the relevant films. However, this thesis offers no solutions, but exposes a VICIOUS system which IS threatening to gain world ascendency.

Acknowledging theatrical styles such as physical theatre, Tanztheater and poor theatre as forms of ‘total theatre’, and recognizing that there has been a prolonged process of development to reach such a point, the first chapter investigates the historical divide between dramatic dance and drama as starting point. Subsequently, in considering the body as expressive medium, the impact of content and form on the training of the performers’ body for the theatrical context is also evaluated.

This dissertation responds to a recent zeitgeist and climate of controversy surrounding issues of "virtuality" and "simulation" Such terms are treated as problematic and essentially contested when framed in reference to notions of a fixed observable "reality" rather than considered in terms of socially constructed facts, relationships and identities. The concept of the "virtual stage" advanced in this thesis, refers to the current historical moment in communications technology development as well as to the dramaturgical perspective which informs the theoretical approach and argument.
In this dissertation, virtual reality is treated not as a single technology or corpus of machines, but following conventions established in recent telepresence research as an experience which can obtain in varying degrees by means of a host of communications media.
Several complementary approaches are proposed and examined as a provisional framework for the study of emerging contemporary discourses of virtuality. Issues of virtuality are discussed from the perspective of historical cases which invite comparison and suggest a palimpsest of earlier technological modes of communication within contemporary situations. The social construction of technology approach is introduced following recent suggestions for marrying this approach to the Canadian tradition of socio-historical study of communication technology. Finally, play and dramaturgical theory are offered as a model for understanding how community and individual identity are constructed and maintained in some forms of computer mediated communication (video games, MUDs, and IRC) while allowing for potentially plausible notions of human agency.

This model proposes an approach for teaching history through drama in education. The program uses the framework of la carpa, a Mexican American theatrical tradition. Participants develop historical knowledge and skills of expression while they learn to use their own lives as a key to understanding the lives of others. In the past two decades in the U.S., drama teachers and youth project leaders have been employing social drama to encourage adolescents to express their fears, frustrations and experiences. As with the tradition of la carpa, the scripts reveal sentiments that may not be able to be spoken safely elsewhere. In contrast to the production of classic, scripted plays, social drama provides participants with the opportunity to create their own material using their own lives as primary resources. In addition to challenging participants aesthetically, the teaching model of la carpa fosters interpersonal development.

This research deals with the phenomenon of mythological tendency among Arab historians in the Middle Ages. The ancient Arabs contributed to writing history: the history of human events. They also contributed to writing other aspects of history, such as the history of cities, as Al-Khatib Al-Baghdadi did in his History of Baghdad, or as Ibn Al-Khatib did in his briefing on the news of Granada. He also dated the Arabs for kings, messengers, and scholars. Hence, history in its various aspects is a cognitive obsession and a scientific preoccupation that the Arabs have known and written extensively about. As for general history, many historians have worked on it, perhaps the most famous of whom are Ibn Jarir al-Tabari 310 AH - 923 AD, Al-Masudi 346 AH - 956 AD, Al-Maqrizi 845 AH - 1442 AD, and others. In this research, we will attempt to study the legendary mythological tendency in the historical writing of Al-Tabari and Al-Masudi, a tendency that permeated the history of these two historians. Al-Tabari was famous for his book The History of the Messengers and Kings or The History of Nations and Kings, as we find in other versions. In which, Al-Tabari tried to narrate the history of the world since the appearance of man on Earth, drawing his information from his culture and religious sources. Hence, his cosmic history is closer to religious history than to human history. He relies on religious texts such as the Qur’anic text and Hadith texts, and he does not hesitate to mention the myths of other nations. Which explains the history of the origin of the universe and the appearance of creation on Earth, and he formulates it in his beautiful foundry style so that it appears as if it were of his own making.

The introduction of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, google+, Instagram, Youtube, Whatsapp, Tik Tok, Linkedin, etc.) is the largest transition in the history of mankind, in terms of dissemination of information since Gutenberg began printing. Its "passing pawns" are efficiency, mass character and instantaneous distribution. The behavior of people and their relationships social networks took on a strong "boarding". Before our eyes, a process is taking place when an increasing part of the population is changing the "Party of the TV" to the "Party of the Internet." Social networks have significantly narrowed, and in fact put an end to, the monopoly of television in the formation of public opinion. Moreover, they, in particular Facebook, having overcome the barriers of almost any censorship, have turned the globe into one "global village". This is actually the "agora" of the twenty-first century. They adequately continued the process of "levelling" between the rich and the poor in terms of access to news, entertainment, shows, provided earlier by traditional media (press, radio, television). The Internet began, and the social network accelerated an unprecedented language revolution, rooted or filled with new meaning in everyday life “traditional” words, terms or phrases: hashtag, selfie, trolling, ban, chat, blog, avatar, meme, gif, etc. Over-reliance on the Internet and social media has become a global disease that surpasses the most acute, formidable pandemics in human history in scale. This means that excessive dependence on social networks is too similar to gambling addiction - the repetition of the same actions for a long time and a weakened perception of time, the replacement of real life and activity with virtual ... The development of information technology is “encouraging” by stuffing more and more new functions and expanding the range of possibilities of smartphone functions, which further strengthens people's attachment to them and the social and psychological problems associated with it. At the same time, the development of dialectics suggests that the time is not far off when the opposite trend will also appear: the desire for liberation from excessive dependence on the Internet and gadgets, as a measure of true freedom. The time will come when such freedom will be as prestigious as owning a personal computer or a mobile phone a few decades ago... Keywords: Internet, Social network, Facebook, Information, Addiction.

Some cities are frequently important venues for various spectacles, live performances, concerts and residency shows performed by the greatest artists of the world, therefore they contribute to the music tourism development and to the local economic development of the cities themselves through tourism and cultural events. A plenty of cities remain emblematic in this regard, but research on their cultural events are peripheral in the present geographical analysis. This paper discusses about an emblematic residency show of a legendary music icon held in Las Vegas as a major input both in the cultural background of the city as well as in its musical history. The research is based on quantitative and qualitative methods with statistical research, media and discourse analysis. The findings of the paper unveil that concerts, live performances, residency-shows and spectacles of the greatest artists of the world are important features of the cultural backgrounds of the cities that are visible in their cultural landscapes. Furthermore, they provide a large power of attraction of tourists and popular music consumers from the world over marking the cities cultural background. These aspects largely under-studied from the geographical perspective call for further research and debates in the contexts of geography, music, music tourism and the cultural background of the cities.

Research in the field of Language Attitudes and Social Perceptions has evidenced the associations between a speaker’s accent and a listener’s perceptions of various aspects of their identity – intelligence, socio-economic background, race, region of origin, friendliness, etc. This process of ‘profiling’ results in discrimination and issues faced in various social institutions where verbal communication is of great importance, such as education environments, or even during employee recruitment. This study uses a mixed-methods approach, employing a sequential explanatory design to investigate the social evaluation process of native and non-native accents on status and solidarity parameters by students from a multicultural university located in Pune, India. The findings are consistent with research in the field of language attitudes, demonstrating preference for Indian and Western accents as compared to other Asian accents. Semi-structured interviews revealed factors such as education, colonial history, globalization and media consumption to be key in influencing these evaluations. The themes are explored in the context of the World Englishes framework, and the socio-economic history of the English language in India.

The Dream of the Red Chamber by Cao Xueqin, being the pinnacle of Chinese classical literature, has been studied and commented on for several centuries. Being a recognized encyclopedia of old Chinese life, this novel provides the reader with numerous information about various aspects of the life of the aristocracy of Qing China. The theme of the theatre is one of the most interesting aspects of traditional culture, reflected in the pages of “Hongloumen”. The novel provides information about the peculiarities of the social status of actors, the composition of theatre troupes and their varieties, repertoire, the ways of organization of performances, the management system of troupes, etc. There are not so many “opera scenes” in the Dream of the Red Chamber, but they cover a wide range of the existence of musical drama. Based on this information, it is possible to identify the specifics of “house troupes” in the Qing period, to consider the role, functions and influence of opera productions on the characters of the novel, to trace the fate of the actors. The novel Dream of the Red Chamber is an inexhaustible source of knowledge about the traditions and cultural features of imperial China.

Performative architecture suppose synergy between both functional and formal aspects of architectural design. Considering these aspects as distinct from each other may result in an architectural expression where the functional and technical aspects are merely an afterthought, added in the final stage to comply with regulations and standards. A more comprehensive approach to design considers its performance in all stages of the design process, integrating the technical and aesthetic aspects. This research intends to reassert the role of designers in ensuring the performance of buildings by integrating actively simulation software in the design process. Climate Studio and Rhinoceros 3D were used to analyse the daylight and thermal performance of the case study that supports this research. The architectural field is undergoing a transformation through the growing integration of digital and computational tools, experiencing a shift in the architectural design process. Since the 1970s, computer-based modelling and simulation software have been employed to analyze the performance of buildings. Currently, due to the progress in both hardware and software, simulation tools are extensively available and can be integrated into various stages of the design process. The housing complex of Bouça Residents' Association results from a notable initiative that aimed to offer comfortable and affordable housing to individuals residing in the informal communities known as "ilhas" in Porto. Designed by Álvaro Siza Vieira, the project represents a pivotal moment in the 20th-century Portuguese social housing experiments and stands out as a significant milestone in the history of Portuguese architecture. This study examines various design alternatives, building upon the existing case study, to explore the benefits of integrating modelling and simulation software to evaluate and enhance their performance.

Does teaching art and its history to the new generations still make sense today, and how? Whether its figurative arts or crafts, what humanity has produced throughout its history is one of the things that most fascinate scholars: in the end, as its for philosophy about the development of thought, studying art is a way of looking for the reasons for human specificity. The beauty search could be intended as one of the most evident aspects of it: times, modes, and tools have changed through the decades, but what has not changed are the intrinsic demands that push mankind to pursue it and create horizons of meaning through art. Nowadays, digital technologies can help us not only in teaching or studying art but even more simply in the fruition of artworks not accessible to everyone, and it is something amazing for the opportunity that it represents. Unfortunately, often the limit of these tools is to stop at the surface of things, providing partial information concerning the iconographic and formal description, rather than guiding the user to a deeper comprehension of the reasons from which the artworks came. The question, then, is how teachers above all, but also other operators of the art world could better address the use of digital, to emphasize the actuality of the need to make art and express ones own creativity, helping them to feel renowned artists of the past and the presents not such as deities, but close to us, according to our sensitivity.

Previous research on the reproductive health of adolescents and youth in Pakistan has not addressed the diversity of adolescent experiences based on social status, residence, and gender. To understand the transition from adolescence to adulthood more fully, it is important to assess social, economic, and cultural aspects of that transition. This brief presents the experience of married and unmarried young people (males and females) from different social strata and residence regarding their own attitudes and expectations about reproductive health. More young people aged 15–24 live in Pakistan now than at any other time in its history—an estimated 36 million in 2004. Recognizing the dearth of information on this large group of young people, the Population Council undertook a nationally representative survey from October 2001 to March 2002. The analysis presented here comes from Adolescents and Youth in Pakistan 2001–02: A Nationally Representative Survey. The survey sought information from youth aged 15–24, responsible adults in the household, and other community members in 254 communities. A total of 6,585 households were visited and 8,074 young people were interviewed.

The new elite in post-1991 independent Moldova gradually captured state institutions, while internal drivers of reforms have generally been weak. Civil society has had limited effectiveness; and the media is largely dominated by political and business circles (BTI, 2022). The Moldovan diaspora has emerged in recent years, however, as a powerful driver of reform. In addition, new political parties and politicians have in recent years focused on common social and economic problems, rather than exploiting identity and geopolitical cleavages. These two developments played a crucial role in the transformative changes in the presidential and parliamentary elections in 2020 and 2021, respectively.1 The new Moldovan leadership has experienced many challenges, however, in achieving justice and anti-corruption reforms—the primary components of their electoral platform—due to the persistence of rent-seeking and corruption in the justice sector (Minzarari, 2022). This rapid review examines literature—primarily academic and non-governmental organisation (NGO)-based—in relation to the political settlement of Moldova. It provides an overview of the political settlement framework and the political history of Moldova. It then draws on the literature to explore aspects of the social foundation and the power configuration in Moldova; and implications for governance and inclusive development. The report concludes with recommendations for government, domestic reformers, Moldovan society, and donors for improving inclusive governance and development in Moldova, identified throughout the literature. This report does not cover political settlement in relation to Transnistria.

The scientific research considers and analyzes the epistolary heritage of Olena Teliha. Excerpts from her correspondence are presented, which testify to the formation of a brilliant woman, a creative personality who played an extremely important role in the struggle for the formation of Ukrainian statehood. It is from the letters that we learn that for her letters are almost an ideal way of communication. The epistolary heritage of Olena Teliha allows us to reveal the vision of the main processes in her personal life against the background of the general historical discourse. In addition, the main communicative visions that determine her creative personality are highlighted: communicative vision of friendship, love, creation of literary talent, perseverance and strength, resistance to rejection. Attention is focused on the importance of studying and researching the epistolary heritage of creative personalities in the context of social communications. From the quoted letters, which are distinguished by their sincerity and accuracy of expression, it is possible to determine and formulate what positions and ideas the civic activist, poet and publicist adhered to. In addition, we can see the line of consistency in the formation of a creative personality who not only lives and writes, but acts – creates history, its moment, the value of which is felt and understood by future generations. It is found that the life path in its interconnection with historical circumstances and social environment influenced the formation of the creative personality of the genius poet and publicist. The peculiarities of the epistolary of Olena Teliha are determined by the circumstances, people and personalities that she had to face in life. The promising areas of research are the letters of Olena Teliha, which are in the archives of other countries and the allocation of journalistic and documentary aspects of her epistolary heritage. India has a unique and complex religious history, with faith and spirituality playing an important role in everyday life. Hinduism is the majority religion, and there are many minority religions. India also has a complicated class system and entrenched gender structures. Disability is another important identity. Many of these factors determine people’s experiences of social inclusion or exclusion. This paper explores how these intersecting identities influence the experience of inequality and marginalisation, with a particular focus on people with disabilities from minority religious backgrounds. A participatory qualitative methodology was employed in Chennai, to gather case studies that describe in-depth experiences of participants. Our findings show that many factors that make up a person’s identity intersect in India and impact how someone is included or excluded by society, with religious minority affiliation, caste, disability status, and gender all having the potential to add layers of marginalisation. These various identity factors, and how individuals and society react to them, impact on how people experience their social existence. Identity factors that form the basis for discrimination can be either visible or invisible, and discrimination may be explicit or implicit. Despite various legal and human rights frameworks at the national and international level that aim to prevent marginalisation, discrimination based on these factors is still prevalent in India. While some tokenistic interventions and schemes are in place to overcome marginalisation, such initiatives often only focus on one factor of identity, rather than considering intersecting factors. People with disabilities continue to experience exclusion in all aspects of their lives. Discrimination can exist both between, as well as within, religious communities, and is particularly prevalent in formal environments. Caste-based exclusion continues to be a major problem in India. The current socioeconomic environment and political climate can be seen to perpetuate marginalisation based on these factors. However, when people are included in society, regardless of belonging to a religious minority, having a disability, or being a certain caste, the impact on their life can be very positive.

Vuksanović, Vuk. Between Emotions and Realism: Two Faces of Turkish Foreign Policy in the Balkans. Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, junho de 2023. http://dx.doi.org/10.55042/wzvw6831.

Texto completo da fonte
Resumo:
Turkey’s more assertive posture towards the Balkans is neglected compared to the commentariat that deals with Russia and China. To fill this policy gap, the research team of the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) has conducted research based on the analysis of secondary source material and, even more importantly, on fieldwork interviews that involved 16 sources, academics and think tank researchers based in Istanbul and Ankara. Although the consulted sources have different backgrounds and political sympathies, the research established a presence of common themes. Namely, Turkish foreign policy in the Balkans has two aspects. The first is based on emotions, where Turkish foreign policy towards the region is framed by Turkey’s special ties with the region based on shared history, social connections, identity factors and the legacy of the Ottoman Empire. The Balkan country that is most frequently mentioned in the context of special ties with Turkey is Bosnia and Herzegovina, in light of socio-cultural ties and the fact that it is a country in which the Ottoman legacy is felt most strongly. The second approach is rooted in traditional foreign policy realism derived from an objective and calculated assessment of the regional balance of power and one’s own interests. Within this approach, Turkey is trying, for security and strategic reasons, to act pragmatically and be effective in the Balkans without entangling itself in crises that could impede its regional influence. This approach leads Turkey towards engaging Serbia, the region’s strategically consequential country, because Ankara is deeply convinced that if it wishes to be effective in the Balkans, it needs to have a partnership with Belgrade. In doing so, it must strike a balance between emotions and realism. It needs to walk the fine line between nurturing ties with communities with which it has cultural and religious ties, like Bosniaks and Albanians, while avoiding alienating countries whose partnership Ankara needs to be able to succeed in the Balkans, such as Serbia.
