Resumo:

For few-shot learning, it is still a critical challenge to realize photo-realistic face visually dubbing on high-resolution videos. Previous works fail to generate high-fidelity dubbing results. To address the above problem, this paper proposes a Deformation Inpainting Network (DINet) for high-resolution face visually dubbing. Different from previous works relying on multiple up-sample layers to directly generate pixels from latent embeddings, DINet performs spatial deformation on feature maps of reference images to better preserve high-frequency textural details. Specifically, DINet consists of one deformation part and one inpainting part. In the first part, five reference facial images adaptively perform spatial deformation to create deformed feature maps encoding mouth shapes at each frame, in order to align with input driving audio and also the head poses of input source images. In the second part, to produce face visually dubbing, a feature decoder is responsible for adaptively incorporating mouth movements from the deformed feature maps and other attributes (i.e., head pose and upper facial expression) from the source feature maps together. Finally, DINet achieves face visually dubbing with rich textural details. We conduct qualitative and quantitative comparisons to validate our DINet on high-resolution videos. The experimental results show that our method outperforms state-of-the-art works.

AbstractThe gendered messages in the paintings and text of Dinet and Sliman's Life of Mohammad are the products of a fascinating social and cultural interchange that developed over three decades between the Frenchman and Algerian life. In this social and cultural context, Dinet produced his Orientalist paintings and collaborated with Ben Ibrahim on a series of illustrated books. At the same time, Dinet undertook a spiritual journey from Orientalist painter to Islamophile, formally converting in 1913. La Vie de Mohammed was composed and published in French during World War I and immediately after appeared in English. Dinet's visual gendered perception of the life of the Prophet projects an image of dignified women believers participating in communal religious life, separated to varying degrees from men. The text of the book sends a more diffuse, stock message about Muslim women. Originally produced in a limited edition, Dinet and Sliman's work was to bring the life story of the Prophet to far-reaching parts of the world.

Resumo:

Scattering medium brings great difficulties to locate and reconstruct objects especially when the objects are distributed in different positions. In this paper, a novel physics and learning-heuristic method is presented to locate and image the object through a strong scattering medium. A novel physics-informed framework, named DINet, is constructed to predict the depth and the image of the hidden object from the captured speckle pattern. With the phase-space constraint and the efficient network structure, the proposed method enables to locate the object with a depth mean error less than 0.05 mm, and image the object with an average peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) above 24 dB, ranging from 350 mm to 1150 mm. The constructed DINet firstly solves the problem of quantitative locating and imaging via a single speckle pattern in a large depth. Comparing with the traditional methods, it paves the way to the practical applications requiring multi-physics through scattering media.

Resumo:

Translation has an important role in the dissemination of knowledge, religious teachings, and culture existing throughout the world. The ex-Regent of Bandung R.A.A. Wiranatakoesoema V gave contribution to Sundanese language with his translation work in the field of religion. He translated the works of E. Dinet and Sliman bin Ibrahim by using two writing models, namely combining modern European writing in the form of prose, in line with traditional Sundanese writing traditions, called dangding. His work was published in 1941 entitled Riwajat Kangdjeng Nabi Moehammad, peace be upon him. This book became an early historical literature of prophets printed using Latin and Arabic characters, and it contributed to the translation style in the Sundanese Land.

Resumo:

Gorontalo is ranked 7th in the number of people with diabetes from 35 provinces in Indonesia. One of the causes is the lack of self-care management which impacts the low quality of life of diabetes patients. Supportive group existence is needed as social support for diabetes patient, mainly in the community. This study's purpose is to analyze the effect of the DINET programme on the quality of life of diabetic people. The research method used a pre-experimental design through one group of pre and post-test analyses. The supportive group support provided activities involving diabetes patients, including health education, focus group discussion, physical exercise, and using chatbots and group chat as communication media for support group members. The sample used was 16 people through the purposive sampling method. The instrument for quality of life used is the Diabetes Instrument Quality of Life (DQOL) from the American Diabetes Control and Complications Trial (DCCT) Research Group. The study's results showed a significant difference in the quality of life of DM patients after the intervention with a p-value of 0.000 (α < 0.05). The support group can be used as social support for diabetes patients to keep their discipline in self-care management to prevent dangerous complications.

Resumo:

The article aims to analyze the influence of Sundanese culture in a book of sīrah or biography of Muhammad. This study focuses on R.A.A. Wiranatakoesoema’s Riwajat Kangdjeng Nabi Moehammad s.a.w. (1941), analyzed using hermeneutics. It is a Sundanese translation of Dinet and Sliman’s The Life of Mohammad (1918) which inserted twenty-seven French realist painting illustrations. Wiranatakoesoema did not only translate the book into Sundanese, but also added the great narratives in the form of Sundanese metrical poetry or dangding. The life of Muhammad was described into a Sundanese character like the personality of Sundanese noble. This research shows that Sundanese culture held great influence on Wiranatakoesoema’s narration of Muhammad’s life. Wiranatakoesoema’s Riwajat reflects the influence of Sundanese culture which represents the author as a Sundanese people. It is one of contributions of Sundanese culture and literature in narrating the same story of sīrah in various language of the world.

Résumé La philautie s'est incarnée dans la tradition mythologique classique à partir du Ie siècle dans l'image du beau chasseur Narcisse, qui tomba amoureux de son reflet. La fable d'Ésope "La guénon et ses petits", reprise par Avianus et ses imitateurs, a également illustré le miserable sort de l'homme aveuglé par l'excès d'amour de soi même. Reprise par les auteurs des bestiaires à partir du XIIe siècle, non sans glissements sémantiques importants, l'iconologie du singe côtoie, s'associe et enfin se superpose à celle du "beau demoiseau": le phénomène se produit dans la littérature d'emblèmes de la fin du XVIe au début du XVIIe siècle. Nous avons retrouvé l'origine de l'association des deux héros philautiques tout en suivant leur traces dans trois textes de cette période: Discours des hieroglyphes... de Pierre L'Anglois (1583), Duodecim specula... du père jesuite Jean David (1610), Cinq livres des hiéroglyphiques... de Pierre Dinet (1614). Les trois éléments constitutifs de l'emblème (devise, image et epigramme) se composent ici de manière tout à fait originale pour dessiner l'horizon sémantique de l'amour de soi. On en retrouvra des échos dans la littérature romanesque.

Thirty-one nominal species of the benthic harpacticoid family Zosimeidae Seifried, 2003 are known from several coastal systems less than 200 m depth and the deep sea. Several copepods of the family Zosimeidae were found in deep-sea sediment samples from the Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf of California (Mexico). The Mexican material represents new species of the genera Zosime Boeck, 1873, Peresime Dinet, 1974, Heterozosime Kim and Lee, 2021, and Acritozosime Kim and Lee, 2021. Standardized and complete descriptions for these new species are provided. Previous studies have shown that the genus Zosime can be subdivided into two species groups. We performed phylogenetic analyses (88 characters and 42 taxa) to test the naturalness of such subdivision, to subdivide these groupings further, and to shed some light on the phylogenetic relationships among the zosimeid genera and their species. Our results confirmed (i) the monophyly of previous subdivisions of the genus Zosime, and (ii) that the genus Zosime can be further subdivided into two major subgroups composed of several subordinate clades. Additionally, some comments on the phylogenetic hypotheses amongst the species of each genus reported here, are provided.

Resumo:

Symbiomonas scintillans Guillou et Chrétiennot-Dinet, 1999 is a tiny (1.4 μm) heterotrophic microbial eukaryote. The genus was named based on the presence of endosymbiotic bacteria in its endoplasmic reticulum, however, like most such endosymbionts neither the identity nor functional association with its host were known. We generated both amplification-free shotgun metagenomics and whole genome amplification sequencing data from S. scintillans strains RCC257 and RCC24, but were unable to detect any sequences from known lineages of endosymbiotic bacteria. The absence of endobacteria was further verified with FISH analyses. Instead, numerous contigs in assemblies from both RCC24 and RCC257 were closely related to prasinoviruses infecting the green algae Ostreococcus lucimarinus, Bathycoccus prasinos, and Micromonas pusilla (OlV, BpV, and MpV, respectively). Using the BpV genome as a reference, we assembled a near-complete 190 kbp draft genome encoding all hallmark prasinovirus genes, as well as two additional incomplete assemblies of closely related but distinct viruses from RCC247, and three similar draft viral genomes from RCC24, which we collectively call SsVs. A multi-gene tree showed the three SsV genome types branched within highly supported clades with each of BpV2, OlVs, and MpVs, respectively. Interestingly, transmission electron microscopy also revealed a 190 nm virus-like particle similar the morphology and size of the endosymbiont originally reported in S. scintillans. Overall, we conclude that S. scintillans currently does not harbour an endosymbiotic bacterium, but is associated with giant viruses.

Purpose – This paper aims to examine diners’ luxury restaurant consumption behavior by incorporating diner expectations into a modified Mehrabian–Russell model. Consumers dine at luxury restaurants for reasons beyond fulfilling basic needs. However, little is known about the factors that contribute to diners’ emotions and loyalty toward luxury restaurants. Design/methodology/approach – To examine the proposed six hypotheses, qualitative and quantitative studies were performed. Following exploratory qualitative research, 310 consumers who dined at Taiwan’s five-star hotel restaurants were recruited for the main study. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Findings – The results show that restaurants’ stimuli influence diners’ positive and negative emotions (organisms), which, in turn, affect their loyalty toward luxury restaurants (responses). Furthermore, customers with different levels of expectation react differently to stimuli. Practical implications – This study offers new empirical support for the proposition that diner expectation plays a role in building customer loyalty and, thereby, shades both theoretical and managerial understanding of the luxury restaurant consumption process. Originality/value – This study conceptualizes diners’ loyalty toward luxury restaurants (e.g. revisiting and recommending luxury restaurants) by examining the influence of restaurants’ stimuli, diners’ emotions and customers’ expectations toward luxury restaurants. Additionally, this study offers some managerial implications for practitioners.

De intensivering van de moderne landbouw wordt geassocieerd met een toename van Clostridium perfringens-gerelateerde, gastro-intestinale problemen bij intensief gevoede runderen, zoals “hemorrhagic bowel disease” bij hoogproductief melkvee en enterotoxemie bij kalveren. Waar de pathogenese van hemorrhagic bowel disease nog grotendeels ongekend is, werden er de laatste jaren nieuwe inzichten in de pathogenese van enterotoxemie bekomen die een belangrijke repercussie op de aanpak van deze ziekte onder praktijkomstandigheden hebben. Ook andere clostridiumgeassocieerde maagdarminfecties, zoals “overeating disease” en neonatale clostridiose, worden regelmatig gediagnosticeerd. Overvoedering met structuurarme, eiwitrijke voeders is een overkoepelende risicofactor bij zowel HBD, enterotoxemie als overeating disease. Een goed uitgebalanceerd dieet dat zo stabiel mogelijk gehouden wordt, is dan ook het belangrijkste aandachtspunt op bedrijven die problemen hebben met clostridiose. Daarnaast dient bij jonge kalveren voldoende aandacht gegeven te worden aan een correcte en hygiënische biestverstrekking om problemen met neonatale clostridiose te vermijden.

Resumo:

Amaç: Bu çalışma, yetişkin bireylerde diyet enerji yoğunluğunun, diyet kalitesi ve antropometrik ölçümler ile olan ilişkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bireyler ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya 19-65 yaş arası 271 yetişkin dâhil edilmiştir. Katılımcılara sosyo-demografik verilerinin sorgulandığı bir anket formu yüz yüze görüşme yöntemi ile uygulanmış, bireylerin antropometrik ölçümleri alınmıştır. Ayrıca katılımcılardan 24-saatlik geriye dönük besin tüketim kaydı alınmıştır. Besin tüketim kaydı aracılığı ile diyet kalitesi ve diyet enerji yoğunluğu hesaplanmıştır. Diyet kalitesinin belirlenmesinde “Diyet Kalite İndeksi-Uluslararası (DKİ-U)” ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Diyet enerji yoğunluğu ise “sadece katı yiyecekler” ve “katı yiyecekler + içecekler” olmak üzere iki farklı hesaplama yöntemi kullanılarak hesaplanmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan bireylerin yaş ortalamaları 27.9 ± 10.60 yıldır. Katılımcıların “sadece katı yiyecekler” ortalama diyet enerji yoğunluğu 1.43 ± 0.49 kkal/g, “katı yiyecekler + içecek” ortalama diyet enerji yoğunluğu 1.19 ± 0.42 kkal/g olup, erkeklerin ortalama değerleri kadınlardan daha yüksektir (p>0.05). Katılımcıların diyet kalite indeksi 47.8 ± 9.79 puan olup erkeklerin indeks puanları kadınlardan daha yüksektir (p>0.05). Diyet kalitesi iyi olan katılımcıların diyet enerji yoğunluğu, kötü olanlara kıyasla daha düşüktür (p<0.001). Her iki yöntemle hesaplanan diyet enerji yoğunlukları ile diyet kalitesi arasında negatif yönlü anlamlı ilişki saptanırken, antropometrik ölçümler ile diyet kalitesi arasında bir ilişki saptanamamıştır. Sonuç: Diyet enerji yoğunluğunun yüksek olması, diyet kalitesinin kötü olması ile ilişkilendirilirken, beden kütle indeksi, vücut ağırlığı, bel/boy ve bel/kalça oranları ile istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişkiler saptanamamıştır. Diyet kalitesinin kötü olması ve yüksek enerji yoğunluklu beslenmenin sağlık üzerine olumsuz etkilerini gösteren çalışmalar göz önünde bulundurulduğunda, diyet kalitesini arttıracak enerji yoğunluğu düşük bir beslenme tarzının benimsenmesi önemlidir. Diyet enerji yoğunluğunun antropometrik ölçümler ile ilişkisini yansıtan daha çok çalışmaya ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır.

Resumo:

Amaç: Bu araştırma ağırlık kaybı ve ideal kiloya ulaşmak amacıyla İstanbul’da bulunan özel bir hastanenin beslenme ve diyet polikliniğine gelen 206 kişi üzerinde, Beden Kütle İndekslerine (BKİ) göre gruplandırılan bireylerin, diyet ürün kullanım durumlarını ve kullanım nedenlerini saptamak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Bu araştırma ağırlık kaybı ve ideal kiloya ulaşmak amacıyla İstanbul’da özel bir hastanenin diyet polikliniğine 1 ay içinde ortalama başvuran 250 kişi örneklem olarak seçilmiştir. Bu kişiler arasından, araştırmaya alınma kriterlerine uyarak araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 206 kişi üzerinde yapılmıştır. Katılımcıların, diyet ürün kullanıp kullanmadıkları, hangi diye ürünleri kullandıkları, bu ürünlerini kullanım sebepleri, ürünler hakkındaki görüşleri ve bilinç düzeyleri araştırma tarafından oluşturulan tanımlayıcı anket yöntemi ile saptanmıştır. Bulgular: Katılımcıların %87.4’ü diyet ürün kullanmaktadırlar. Araştırmaya katılan bireylerin %50.3’ü zayıflama diyeti uyguladığı dönemde bu ürünleri kullanırken, %17.5’i bu ürünlerin enerji içermediğini düşünmektedir. Katılımcıların %17.0’si diyet ürünlerin hiç yağ içermediğini düşünmekte, %10.7’si ise bu ürünlerin sınırsız yenebileceğini belirtmişlerdir. Katılımcıların %19.6’sı diyet ürünler hakkında endişelerini bildirmişlerdir. Katılımcılar içerisindeki morbid obezlerin %97’si diyet ürün kullanmakta, obez katılımcıların tamamı, fazla kilolu olanların %98’i, normal ağırlıktaki katılımcıların %91’i, çok zayıf, olanların ise % 57’si diyet ürünü tüketmektedirler. Tüm BKİ seviyeleri için en çok kullanılan diyet ürünü sırasıyla; kepek ekmeği (%69), çavdar ekmeği (%49.5), diyet içeceği (%30.6), diyet bisküvisi (%55.8) ve tatlandırıcı (%25.7) bulunmuş, diyet peynir, diyet ayran, kahvaltılık gevrek ise daha az tüketilen ürünler olmuştur. Sağlık sorunu olan katılımcıların diyet ürün tüketim oranları, sağlık sorunu yaşamayanlara göre anlamlı seviyede yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Bu araştırmada, diyet ürünler ve bu ürünlerin içerikleri hakkında toplumun bilgi seviyesinin artırılmasının gerekliliği belirlenmiştir.
