Covert channels are methods to convey information clandestinely by exploiting the inherent capabilities of common communication protocols. They can be used to hide malware communication as part of cyber attacks. Here, we present CCgen, a framework for injecting covert channels into network traffic that includes modules for common covert channels at the network and transport layer and allows a smooth integration of novel covert channel techniques. Our tool—openly available and implemented in Python—enables the operation on-the-fly in live communications as well as the manipulation of network traffic packet captures. We evaluate a first prototype by generating a varied assortment of covert channels based on state-of-the-art techniques and check their detectability with Suricata, a popular, open-source intrusion prevention and detection system. The injected covert channels remain mostly undetected. Our proposal fills a gap within the diversity of openly available tools for cybersecurity research and education. It builds a flexible environment for experts to test analysis algorithms, thus also enabling advanced training in applied network steganography.

The present study is devoted to several instances of Gaito Gazdanov’s cryptographic references to the texts of A. P. Chekhov. The focus of the study is the image of the Russian emigrant Fedorchenko, portrayed in Chekhov’s style. His literary prototype is the heroine of the short story “Dushechka” (“The Darling”). An appeal to Gazdanov’s publicistic speech “On Chekhov” allows to decipher the “Chekhovian” subtext of the image. The article also contains an analysis of the image of Suzanne who, being Fedorchenko’s heroinedouble, is still portrayed by the author in a different vein. Tolstoy’s interpretation of the meaning of “Dushechka” (“The Darling”) made it possible to suspect a certain hidden “optimism” in the ending of the novel. The study takes into account the presence of other literary prototypes of the aforementioned heroes, and allusions to them disavow their correlation with the Chekhovian image and transpose them to a covert plane, the sphere of cryptopoetics.

The approach adopted here identifies finiteness with the capacity to license an independent predication. The prototypical independent predication is positive and declarative; other ‘moods’, or main-clause types, while finite, may fail to display the morphosyntactic properties associated with this prototype. These properties vary from language to language, but the recurrent core properties are verbal, since the verb is the prototypical predicator. Some constructions that occur in both main and subordinate clauses, such as the infinitival in English, differ in interpretation in these two different circumstances; this may be the only difference between finite (main-clause) and non-finite (subordinate-clause) use. This general approach is contrasted with one in which finiteness is identified with the presence of a particular set of morphosyntactic properties: such a view as the latter can be maintained, if at all, only on the basis of massive recourse to covert categories.

This study is a preview of an ongoing project to develop a solar prototype for roadway to harness solar energy with the addition of transparent shield cover. Solar panel on roadway is a new research arena which has the potential to reform the conventional road network systems. Since pavements are often exposed to a great amount of solar energy throughout the day, they can be used to develop a technique which can accumulate and store this solar energy and later convert it into electricity. The development of the prototype involved selecting several polycarbonate materials as transparent shield covers containing different strength types and light transparency properties. In addition, it involved Finite Element Analysis of the prototypes under static load, Transmittance Spectra test for the transparent covers and generation of power using the prototypes. Initial results show a great potential of implementing this technique as a major pavement energy harvesting technology.

The article considers the problems related to the need to develop for the Armed Forces of Ukraine specialized robotic transport equipment for the military logistics system, namely – electromechanical tractors with high specific performance, capable of providing not only fast and covert delivery of weapons, military and special equipment, ammunition and personnel to the places of combat operations, but also the evacuation of the wounded and damaged equipment from the battlefield. Methods of realization of the set tasks on the basis of use of topological transformations and local scaling prototype are offered robotic tractor without a cabin Case IH Concept with a power plant a diesel engine with a power of 308 kW, a maximum speed of up to 50 km/ h and four double support-driving wheels of two different diameters. Topological transformations have shown the possibility of equipping a robotic, reduced in scale 1: 2 compared to the real prototype, a large-scale copy of an electromechanical tractor with high specific performance based on composite platforms of triangular generating autonomous blocks-modules. Modular structuring of the basic element of the platform of a specialized electromechanical tractor of military logistics from traction functional blocks-modules in the form of triangular autonomous units of multimodal transport provides their implementation as real three-wheeled electric motorcycles, which are fully suitable for autonomous practical application. In arid climates, the optical properties of plastic-covered greenhouses deteriorate very quickly. To examine the effect of greenhouse shape and orientation on the degradation rate of cover optical properties, four greenhouse prototypes were constructed in two shapes (duo-pitched roof and tunnel), covered with a 200 µm thick low-density polyethylene film. Two types were oriented in the North–South direction, the other two in the East–West direction, and all were exposed for one year to an arid climate. Samples were taken from the different surfaces of each cover for testing. The total transmittance (Ts) and reflectance (Rs) of the samples were measured and averaged to obtain the whole cover properties (T and R). Measurements were carried out periodically every 30 days for the four prototypes. The degradation behavior of the optical properties of each cover surface (Ts, Rs) and the whole cover (T, R) was investigated for the four film covers during the exposure time. Results show that the degradation rate of Ts depends on the surface location and the cover orientation. Among the different surfaces of the four prototype covers, the maximum difference in the Ts value between the E and N surfaces for the tunnel cover oriented in the N–S direction was 15.5%. Although the variation of the Ts value among the different cover surfaces was found, the time dependences of the whole cover transmittance (T) for the four covers tested were almost similar. Accordingly, the shape and orientation of the small size greenhouses did not significantly affect the degradation rate of the cover optical properties. In the four covers tested, the reduction in the global solar radiation transmittance (T) was 27–31% after one-year exposure compared to the new film. Nonlinear correlation was developed to predict the degradation rate of the cover transmittance as a function of the accumulated solar irradiance.

The small scout robot is generally thrown into the war zone by soldier. The short thrown distance and the danger of soldier exposed to the enemy limit the application of the small scout robot. So this paper presents a type of low acceleration overload catapult device of no flash, no smoke and no sound. It can throw the small scout robot covertly to long distances with low acceleration overload, and avoid the danger that soldier be exposed to the enemy when artificial throwing. The high and low pressure chambers of the catapult device achieve the low acceleration overload launching, and eliminate the risk of robot damaged by huge acceleration overload. The covert launching of no flash, no smoke and no sound is achieved by the piston to seal the gun propellant gas in barrel. Based on the interior ballistic model, the interior ballistic performance is calculated. The experiment for measuring the acceleration overload of the projectile is achieved by using the catapult device prototype and the measurement system developed by authors. The simulation and test results show that this catapult device can meet the requirement to throw the small scout robot into the war zone.

In an interview with William Rees-Mogg, Berlusconi revealed that he had two portraits hanging in his office—those of Mrs Thatcher and of the Emperor Justinian. The place allotted to Mrs Thatcher, the prime exponent of free market economics of our times, can hardly cause surprise, but that given to Justinian is less easily explicable. Berlusconi is not known for his passion for the history and politics of the Byzantine Empire, so the Justinian on whom Berlusconi rests his eyes at critical moments must be the Justinian of Dante, whom Berlusconi would have studied in school. Dante gave Justinian a place in Paradiso as the very prototype of the law-giver and founder of a new political and legal order, so Berlusconi's cult of Justinian can be taken as indicative of a self-image as founder of new order. But there is another, more covert factor. Democracy in any sense was alien to Justinian, who as Emperor of the East enjoyed a sway unknown to any leader of a modern democratic state, and one paralleled in western societies only by the absolute power afforded to the owner of a contemporary business empire, like Ford Corporation, ICI or indeed Fininvest; or the leader of an idiosyncratic, autocratic political movement like Forza Italia.

In the fall of 1949, after the end of the Greek Civil War, the bulk of the defeated Greek Communist (KKE) fighters were covertly transported from Albania to Soviet Uzbekistan. This article addresses the covert relocation project, organized by the Soviet Communist Party, and the social engineering program intended to create a prototype Greek People’s Democracy in Tashkent. Drawing on Soviet and Greek Communist Party records, the article raises three major issues: first, the contingencies of postwar transition in the Balkans and the precarious status of the Albanian regime; second, the international Communist response to the military defeat of the KKE in 1949 and the competing visions of the Greek, Soviet, and Albanian parties regarding the future of the Democratic Army of Greece (DAG); third, the intentions of the KKE to establish military bases in Albania and the party’s ensuing effort to transform the agrarian fighters of the DAG into revolutionary cadres for a future victorious repatriation in Greece. Drawing these elements together, the article elucidates the relocation operation of 1949, positions the Greek political refugee experience within the postwar “battle of refugees,” and challenges the widespread historiographical assumption that the KKE immediately abandoned the prospect of a renewed armed confrontation.

This study investigates the role of value proposition in building an oppositional market category, the strategic interplay of platform owner and complementors, and category dynamics in digital platform emergence. Abductive qualitative research is led through an embedded case study that explores the emergence of Not Just A Label, a digital platform for emerging fashion designers aiming to be a “black sheep”. Interviews, newspaper articles, web-archive and web-scrapping were used to collect data about the management of the value proposition by the platform and the perceptions of internal and external audiences over time. The case is one of a platform with a dual approach of the value proposition, multifaceted that spans categories, yet with a coherent identity used as a covert prototype that gathers heterogeneous complementors. Intrinsic value and social externalities, as well as the resonance of the platform value proposition are key for the formation of an oppositional market category. The study motivates further research to refine our understanding of digital platform strategies and market category emergence and contributes to the development of more effective management of value propositions and complementors

When the Swedish concert singer Jenny Lind toured the US in 1850, she became the prototype for the modern pop star. Meanwhile, her manager, P.T. Barnum, became the prototype for another figure of enduring significance: the pop culture impresario. Starting with Lind’s fabled US tour, Live Music in America surveys the ongoing impact and the changing conditions of live music performance in the US into the twenty-first century. It covers a range of historic performances, from the Fisk Jubilee Singers expanding the sphere of African American music in the 1870s, to Benny Goodman bringing swing to Carnegie Hall in 1938, to 1952’s Moondog Coronation Ball in Cleveland—arguably the first rock ‘n’ roll concert—to Beyoncé’s boundary-shattering performance at the 2018 Coachella festival. More than that, it details the roles played by performers, audiences, media commentators, and a variety of live music producers (promoters, agents, sound and stage technicians) in shaping what live music means and how it has evolved. Live Music in America connects what occurs behind the scenes to what takes place on the stage to highlight the ways in which live music is something that is very deliberately produced and does not just spontaneously materialize. Along the way, previously unstudied archival materials shed new light on the origins of jazz, the emergence of rock ‘n’ roll, and the rise of the modern music festival.

This book contains spectra of the doubly charged positive ions (dications) of some 75 molecules, including the major constituents of terrestrial and planetary atmospheres and prototypes of major chemical groups. It is intended to be a new resource for research in all areas of molecular spectroscopy involving high energy environments, both terrestrial and extra-terrestrial. All the spectra have been produced by photoionisation using laboratory lamps or synchrotron radiation and have been measured using the magnetic bottle time-of-flight technique by coincidence detection of correlated electron pairs. Full references to published work on the same species are given, though for several molecules these are the first published spectra. Double ionisation energies are listed and discussed in relation to the molecular electronic structure of the molecules. A full introduction to the field of molecular double ionisation is included and the mechanisms by which double photoionisation can occur are examined in detail. A preliminary chapter covers double photoionisation of an atom in order to explain the basic principles of the technique, then five chapters present spectra of molecules of increasing size. A seventh chapter on the new fields of core–core and core–valence double ionisations, with selected examples, completes the main body of the book. Appendices explain the detailed mechanisms of double photoionisation, the calibration of the electron spectrometers, and give a brief summary of the methods by which double ionisation energies are calculated theoretically.

AbstractSeveral general Land Use Cover (LUC) datasets are available for Africa. They provide a general picture of the land uses and covers in more than one African country, rather than focusing on any specific type. In this chapter, we review six datasets of this kind. Only one (CCI LAND COVER – S2 PROTOTYPE, 30 m) covers the whole continent, while the others map certain specific regions of Africa. All these datasets have been produced within the context of specific projects, usually sponsored by international organizations such as the European Space Agency (ESA), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) or the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Once these projects come to an end, no new updates of the maps were published, which limits the potential and the temporal resolution of the available datasets. For Africa, only the West Africa Land Use Land Cover (2 km) and the SERVIR-ESA (30 m) provide a time series of LUC maps. The first provides maps for three reference years (1975, 2000, 2013), while in the second the number of maps available and their respective reference years vary from country to country: from 2 to 4 different editions issued between 1990 and 2015. AFRICOVER (1:200,000) and the Congo Basin Vegetation Types dataset (300 m) provide LUC information for just one reference year, although they were created from imagery covering a long time-span: 1994–2001 for AFRICOVER and 2000–2007 for Congo Basin Vegetation Types. The SADC Land Cover Database (1:250,000) was obtained by merging and harmonizing national and regional LUC datasets. As a result, the reference year varies from one country to the next, always between 1990 and 1997. The CCI LAND COVER – S2 PROTOTYPE was produced at the highest spatial resolution of all the datasets reviewed in this chapter (30 m). It also provided the most comprehensive, most updated LUC image of Africa, with information for the year 2015/16.

AbstractGNSS positioning is widely use in every kind of application. Nowadays, low-cost GNSS modules are becoming available to apply the Real-Time Kinematic mode in those applications in which a centimeter-level accuracy would be appreciated for a precise positioning. In this work, we developed a prototype for collecting data in RTK mode with a single-frequency multi-constellation device during some physical tests performed by a professional runner. Prior to do this, we assessed the accuracy in estimating the distance actually covered during a walking on a signalized line. Also, we verified the capability to detect short sprints of about 12–15 s. Finally, we compared the results of our prototype with a Polar M430 running watch during three Cooper tests and a Kosmin test. The comparison highlighted that the running watch overestimated the total distance systematically and did not describe the performance of the athlete accurately in time. The distance overestimation was +4.7% on average using the running watch, whereas our prototype system exhibited an error level of about 0.1%.

AbstractThe quest for ubiquitous wireless connectivity, drives an increasing demand for compact and efficient means of frequency generation. Conventional synthesizer options, however, generally trade one requirement for the other, achieving either excellent levels of efficiency by leveraging LC-oscillators, or a very compact area by relying on ring-oscillators. This chapter describes a recently introduced class of inductorless frequency synthesizers, based on the periodic realignment of a ring-oscillator, that have the potential to break this tradeoff. After analyzing their jitter-power product, the conditions that ensure optimum performance are derived and a novel digital-to-time converter range-reduction technique is introduced, to enable low-jitter and low-power fractional-N frequency synthesis. A prototype, which implements the proposed design guidelines and techniques, has been fabricated in 65 nm CMOS. It occupies a core area of 0:0275 mm$$^{2}$$ 2 and covers the 1:6-to-3:0 GHz range, achieving an absolute rms jitter (integrated from 30 kHz-to-30 MHz) of 397 fs at 2:5 mW power. With a corresponding jitter-power figure-of-merit of −244 dB in the fractional-N mode, the prototype outperforms prior state-of-the-art inductorless frequency synthesizers.

AbstractNetwork-Based Biocomputation Circuits (NBCs) offer a new paradigm for solving complex computational problems by utilizing biological agents that operate in parallel to explore manufactured planar devices. The approach can also have future applications in diagnostics and medicine by combining NBCs computational power with the ability to interface with biological material. To realize this potential, devices should be designed in a way that ensures their correctness and robust operation. For this purpose, formal methods and tools can offer significant advantages by allowing investigation of design limitations and detection of errors before manufacturing and experimentation. Here we define a computational model for NBCs by providing formal semantics to NBC circuits. We present a formal verification-based approach and prototype tool that can assist in the design of NBCs by enabling verification of a given design’s correctness. Our tool allows verification of the correctness of NBC designs for several NP-Complete problems, including the Subset Sum, Exact Cover and Satisfiability problems and can be extended to other NBC implementations. Our approach is based on defining transition systems for NBCs and using temporal logic for specifying and proving properties of the design using model checking. Our formal model can also serve as a starting point for computational complexity studies of the power and limitations of NBC systems.

These range from building awareness, increasing acceptance, and teaching the foundations of this important and disruptive technology, to fostering a meaningful, creative usage, an assessment of threats, opportunities, and potentials as well as allowing an informed discussion about the technology. This paper presents the 2-year international AI education and awareness project ‘ENARIS’ which addressed these challenges on various levels. On the one hand, the project fostered young people’s interest in AI and facilitated a basic technical understanding. In this context, the integration of teachers, using a train-the-trainer approach and providing ready-to-use, open educational resources based on sound didactic concepts was an essential factor. On the other hand, the project aimed at strengthening awareness regarding social, economic, and technical aspects and potentials of AI among the general public, including school students, children, parents or working persons by conducting open and easily-accessible workshops. In the first project stage, online pre-surveys were conducted to analyze the needs within the target groups. Based on the results, AI ready-to-use prototype learning modules were developed. Following the principles of constructionism, a combination of different teaching methods including unplugged and plugged activities was used. The second project stage dealt with implementing and evaluating pilot workshops using quantitative pre- and post-tests as well as qualitative measures. Results indicate that, a) the ready-to-use teaching material, train-the-trainer workshops and AI topics covered were well received and that, b) a significant positive impact regarding the awareness and general knowledge about AI was achieved.

This chapter shows how the desire to achieve parity with the West brought the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and the grassroots tinkerers of China's early hackerspace and coworking space into a paradoxical and often highly ambivalent alignment in their respective projects to assert China as innovative and creative. It covers the years 2007 through 2011, when a collective of Chinese artists, designers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and internet bloggers began to experiment with the ideals of the American free culture movement, participatory design, and eventually, open source hardware and making. Their work of transplanting Western ideals of participatory, open, and democratized technology production into contemporary China created an affective connection between China's history of manufacturing and its future as a global economic power. Their early experiments with participatory design, coworking spaces, makerspaces, and open source, open innovation, and open design, were aimed at prototyping a “new” Chinese citizen, i.e., the utilization of technology to cultivate an optimistic, forward-looking, entrepreneurial Chinese citizen, at last freed from connotations of lack and low quality. These attachments to technological promise are deeply intertwined with China's ambivalent relationship to the West, marked both by histories of colonialism and by revolutionary imaginings of alternative modernities.

The Human Readiness Level (HRL) scale was applied to a high criticality, disruptive, prototype laser-based aviation sensor to evaluate its readiness for human use. Applying HRL to the laser-based aviation sensor accelerated risk identification and provided enough lead time to influence design. Specifically, a protective sensor cover prototype was implemented to address key safety issues. This success demonstrated that the HRL scale is invaluable and should be applied to other technologies.

Many modern aircraft, including rotorcraft, require conformal antennas and fairings to reduce wind drag, ice accretion, lightning strikes, and impact damage. An innovative approach to embedding Very High Frequency (VHF) antenna elements in the leading and trailing edges of a helicopter empennage has been developed. A prototype has been fabricated and tested on a mockup of a helicopter empennage, consisting of the vertical stabilizer (tail), horizontal stabilator, and gearbox. Testing has shown that the design can meet typical communications range requirements. A history of helicopter empennage antennas, the development approach, design features and key innovations, and measured results are presented and discussed. The approach can be replicated on almost any current or future aircraft or rotorcraft.

Abstract An experimental method for assessing the noise characteristics of machines is developed. The method is based on a computation of the radiated sound power of a vibrating structure in terms of its acoustic surface radiation resistance and surface volume velocity. To measure acoustic surface radiation resistance, a probe is developed which consists of a low profile loudspeaker and a small microphone, both of which are moveable over the surface of the structure. As an application of the the method, the sound power produced by two valve covers of a 3.3L V6 internal combustion engine, a current production model and the prototype of a new design, is computed and compared. Based on the probe measurements made on a quiescent engine, a surface resistance matrix was generated for the two valve covers. Measurements of the volume velocity of the valve covers were made at two engine operating conditions: 1800 and 5300 RPM. After combining each of the velocity measurements with the resistance matrix, the results indicate that the prototype valve cover radiates significantly less sound power than the production cover at both operating conditions.

Abstract A large class of tasks for mobile robots require the robot to cover an enclosed space that might contain several objects (obstacles). The usual approach to this problem is to design a sensor-intensive, computer-controlled robot that usually has a relatively simple kinematic form (type). The control of such a robot is difficult, expensive, and frequently unreliable. This paper demonstrates how the complexity in sensing and control can be circumvented by synthesizing a “chaotic” kinematic motion that, when appropriately embodied by a kinematic form, covers the space and easily deals with obstacles. The evolution of the “chaotic”, sensorless, mechanical mobile robot from concept, through analysis, numerical simulation and form embodiment, to realization is described. The testing of the prototype clearly demonstrates how, for the present task, complex “chaotic” motions do considerably simplify the control of the robot. A computer controlled prototype capable of mimicking the behavior of its mechanical counterpart is also described.

In task-oriented dialog systems, conversational agents have the means to plan the dialog to accomplish user tasks (e.g., order pizza). In chit-chat systems, there are no such straightforward tasks. Yet, in chit-chat dialogs people still pursue goals, but these goals are more abstract and thus less formalizable. In this work, we describe the development process of two goal-aware prototypes of a chatbot. The first prototype features entirely human-crafted scenarios for seven topic-specific (low-level) goals and a Goal Tracker service that detects these goals and monitors the process of their achievement. The other one combines pre-written utterances with response generation using DialoGPT model to cover the scenarios of four general (high-level) goals. The results show that introducing the concept of goals improves performance of a chit-chat dialog system. Qualitative analysis of conversations with the High-Level goals prototype demonstrates cases where a goal-aware chatbot outperforms the original one.

Analysis of the Technological Innovation System for BIPV in Austria. Editado por Michiel Van Noord. Resumo:
This report analyses the Technological Innovation System (TIS) of Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) in Austria. The study’s scope is consistent with the IEA PVPS Task 15 report [1].The analysis aims to facilitate and support the innovation, development, and implementation of industrial solutions of BIPV technologies. In Austria, the use of BIPV is still a niche application and covers under 2% of all implemented PV systems [1]. BIPV technology in Austria has historically developed with the support of different public financial incentives, national and European. The history of BIPV is somehow tightened to the history of PV. The first BIPV prototypes were developed by PV companies in the framework of national or European research activities, with the first development and innovation projects starting around 2003. In general, it should be mentioned that in the last years, PV and BIPV companies have increased specialization in the production of BIPV, especially colored and semitransparent PV modules. In this regard, a wide range of variants are offered (printing, coating, films). The colored components are mainly purchased from glass companies or polymer film producers. Another trend in Austria is the production of transparent glass/glass modules for integration in facades, skylights, winter gardens, or courtyard roofing. In 2020, the government of Austria presented a program called EAG (Erneuerabre Ausbau Gesetz) or Renewable Expansion Act [3.3.1 Hard institutions]containing certain working points to be implemented by 2024. Some of the measures are directly or indirectly relevant to the BIPV development and installation. Such as the PV encapsulation films using interference pigment technology from Lenzing Plastics. This TIS assessed the BIPV market through eight functional areas and provided the following results: ⁃ The analysis of knowledge development showed that it can be classified as moderate. On the one hand, there are not enough training and further education opportunities in the field of BIPV available, but on the other hand, the PV manufacturers and research institutions are driving forward the development of knowledge in the field of BIPV. ⁃ Knowledge dissemination is well advanced internationally within the research community but insufficient at the practical, national level, particularly between the PV industry and the construction sector. Architects are demanding more information from PV manufacturers and suppliers, who share their information only irregularly with the architectural community. Usually, architects obtain this information from PV technology platforms through workshops, brochures, and projects. However, architects have to engage with it more extensively. The goal is to make BIPV more appealing to architects. Thus, we have to summarize that knowledge dissemination is inadequate/weak. ⁃ Entrepreneurial willingness to experiment can be classified as moderate. Overall, it can be said that there are four players in the Austrian BIPV market and a substantial number of newcomers and small innovative players who could take the role of innovation drivers. However, there are too few opportunities for highly specialized small companies. ⁃ Resource mobilization is well positioned financially and in terms of network services. However, and this is essential if we want to expand the BIPV market strongly, there is a lack of skilled personnel (human resources) to carry out the expansion, which is why this function is rated to only be moderate. ⁃ The scoring of social capital is weak. The connection where there is a lack of communication is between the (BI)PV planner and the architects. In most projects, the (BI)PV planner is not involved in the early stages of the building design process. In addition, conventional PV planners have no experience or are hesitant of planning BIPV systems. ⁃ The legitimacy is moderate, but as the acceptance of PV improves from year to year, the chance of better acceptance of PV integrated into the building, i.e., BIPV, also increases. However, there are still reservations and resistance towards individual, specific BIPV projects. This resistance could be reduced by increasing knowledge about the multifunctional possibilities of BIPV at the decision-maker and customer stage as well as by showing best practice examples - Guidance of the search is moderate, as there are no specific political targets for BIPV, but there are for PV. However, the government and relevant authorities aim to implement clean energy development positively and apply applicable policies and regulations. There is an increased subsidy for innovative PV solutions [2] which also includes BIPV. ⁃ It can be stated that the market formation of BIPV in Austria still offers room for improvement. When it comes to governmental-driven incentives and support for the BIPVmarket development, the missing technical standards (e.g., fire safety regulations) and the absence of regulatory obligations on renewable energies in the local building codes are the biggest weaknesses. The structural and functional analysis is followed by a coupled structural-functional analysis. This assessment will help identify weaknesses and strengths and recommend strategies that will enable the growth of BIPV from a niche market to a major market segment. The aim is for photovoltaics (PV) on buildings to be primarily designed as Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) to reduce additional costs. This, combined with the avoided costs for other components of the building, should result in cost parity with Building-Applied Photovoltaics (BAPV). It is also crucial to encourage all manufacturers of building envelope components to ensure that their products offer the dual benefit of serving as building components while also generating electricity. By doing so, such products can become standard in the industry. The transition from BAPV to BIPV was already analyzed in a 2015 BIPV brochure [2] from the Austrian Photovoltaics Technology Platform (TPPV), which discussed the advantages of an integrated solution versus an attached solution and outlined the necessary steps to make BIPV the standard for building PV. The recommendations are summarized as follows: i) It is important to involve (BI)PV in the early stages of the building planning process. ii) successful implementation projects must be made public through various channels to increase knowledge about BIPV technology and its possibilities (e.g., lighthouse projects in public buildings). iii) PV standards and construction codes have to be harmonized. iv) The Austrian government should stipulate the use of PV in the obligatory building specifications. v) Another recommendation would be to enact a law requiring every sealed area to be checked for dual use with (BI)PV. One positive development worth mentioning is the Climate Fund's Lighthouse call, which focuses specifically on integrated PV and offers higher grants for BIPV than the Renewable Expansion Act] , demonstrating increased interest and commitment to this technology. In addition, the TPPV Innovation Awards, which were awarded for the first time specifically for building-integrated PV and now include other topics of PV integration outside of buildings, are a sign that the industry is broadening its perspective and recognizing the importance of BIPV beyond traditional applications. These developments could help to further promote the acceptance and deployment of BIPV and drive innovation in this area. Nevertheless, it is important to consider the significantly higher costs of BIPV products, as well as the greatly increased planning effort that arises when PV becomes an integral building product.

In Indonesia, collaboration between the Center for Health Research, University of Indonesia, National Family Planning Coordinating Board (BKKBN), UNFPA Jakarta, and the Population Council resulted in production and distribution of two prototype modules as basic materials on reproductive health for families with school-age children and adolescents. An updated version for both parents and adolescents was published by BKKBN. The Population Council believed that international versions (in English) would be of value, as the gaps in information are similar worldwide with respect to topics covered by these modules. Youth are constantly thirsty for knowledge pertaining to their health, particularly their reproductive health, but do not always know where to get relevant information. The same often holds true for parents of teenagers who also have to contend with the natural but difficult physical, emotional, and mental changes their children go through during adolescence. The objective of these books—the Adolescent Reproductive Health module for youth as a well as the module for parents—is to provide concise, direct, detailed, and correct information about common concerns and questions teenagers have about the physical and mental changes that occur during puberty.
