The impact of new energy vehicles (NEV) on average fuel consumption of automakers’ passenger vehicles in China,is a question that has not been clearly addressed. In this paper, average accounting fuel consumptions and average real fuel consumptions of BYD Auto (hereinafter referred to as "BYD")’s passenger vehicles, as well as average fuel consumptions of BYD’s NEV and average fuel consumptions of BYD’s conventional energy vehicles (CEV) from 2016 to 2021, were calculated. Then the impact of production multiplier of NEV and low average fuel consumption of NEV were distinguished to reveal the path and extent of NEV’s impact on average fuel consumption of BYD's passenger vehicles. The results showed that, Production multiplier of NEV and low average fuel consumption of NEV are key factors by which NEV promoted the decline of average fuel consumption of BYD’s passenger vehicles. Production multiplier of NEV caused the difference between average accounting fuel consumption and average real fuel consumption of BYD’s passenger vehicles, Low average fuel consumption of NEV caused the difference between average real fuel consumption of BYD’s passenger vehicles and average fuel consumption of BYD’s CEV, and the total impact of NEV on the average accounting fuel consumption of BYD’s passenger vehicles was equal to the sum of the above two differences, which is equal to average accounting fuel consumption of BYD’s passenger vehicles minus average fuel consumption of BYD’s CEV.

Resumo:
Consumption is a fundamental determinant of the economic success. Consumer spending is approximately 70 percent of the Gross domestic product (GDP). It is common to divide consumer spending into nondurables (clothing and food), durables (“large” goods, which are not purchased very often), and of course services (day care, banking, medical). The way to identify how the economy influences consumption is to look at specific economic cycles. At the top of the economy (when the economy is strong), people reaction is physically powerful, and consumers spend money freely. When the economy falters, confidence falls; consumers cut back on the spending and conserve their money. They stop buying, getting out of debt and focus on saving money. Understanding consumption is vital to the implementation and development of marketing strategies. The purpose for this empirical research is to review main indicators, which influence on consumption and identify methodological issues in need of resolution, and present possible approaches that may prove helpful in resolving those issues. The growth of interest in modeling consumption has led to behaviorally conceptual models in which selection dynamics play a vital role. The authors introduce two empirical models, which demonstrate correlation between macroeconomic indicators, social factors and Consumer price index (CPI). The first conceptual model shows that the CPI is a straighter measure than per capita Gross domestic product of the standard of living in Ukraine. By including a wide range of thousands of services and goods with the basket (fixed), the CPI can obtain a precise estimate of the cost of living. The second empirical model shows the interdependence of economic indicators (CPI, GDP, and Average wage index (AWI)) and social factors (gender, age, location).

Purpose – This paper aims to analyze the problematic relationship between the Left, the commercial revolution and the progressive growth of mass consumption during the Italian economic miracle. Design/methodology/approach – Taking for example the city of Bologna, the most important city run by the Italian communist party, the paper problematizes the socio-economic and political – institutional processes connected with the emergence of “American-like” commercial and distribution strategies, and of consumerist identities. Findings – Bologna’s administrators governed the commerce through a rationalization supported by urban planning, including the establishment of a chain of “associated supermarkets”, built on municipal areas and financed by a mixed-capital company set up for that purpose. At the same time, they sought to protect small retailers to gain their political consensus and to contain crisis-related anxieties among the consumers, a category which has still an uncertain identity in Italy. Originality/value – Much remains to be seen in the characteristics of the Italian miracle, and in the manner it was ruled. The case of Bologna illuminates an important piece of the Italian Left’s attempt to interpret and to lead the modernization of the country.

Through a comparative analysis, this paper attempts to summarize the hourly variations of the total energy consumptions and itemized energy consumptions in a culture and education comprehensive building in summer, winter, and the transitional season. The results show a great difference in energy consumptions in the same building in different seasons. Energy consumption is highest in winter. There is a minor difference in energy consumptions between a typical day in summer vacation and a normal work day in summer. The lowest energy consumption is in winter vacation, but a typical day in winter vacation would still consume about half of the energy consumed on a normal working day in winter. There is widespread consensus that present patterns of consumption could lead to the permanent impossibility of maintaining those patterns and, perhaps, the existence of the human race. While many patterns of consumption qualify as 'sustainable' there is one in particular that deserves greater attention: virtual consumption. We argue that virtual consumption - the experience of authentic consumptive experiences replicated by alternative means - has the potential to reduce the deleterious consequences of real consumption by redirecting some consumptive behaviour from shifting material states to shifting information states.

The purpose of this article is to further our understanding of the transformation of Muslim consumption and anti-consumption by an empirical case study of Malaysia. Much current anti-consumerist and anti-globalization discourse identifies boycotting as an immensely powerful force. I argue that insufficient attention has been paid to the micro-social logics of modern forms of religious consumption and anticonsumption in particular historical/national settings and that these issues should be explored in the interfaces between Islam, state and market. This article examines the political and cultural effects of the Islamic opposition’s call to boycott US goods in Malaysia in the wake of 9/11 that coincided with a forceful stress on promoting modern halal (in Arabic halal literally means ‘permissible or ‘lawful’) products and services. This article argues that from around that time, Muslim consumption in Malaysia became the subject of increasing consumer activism and I explore how Malaysian federal state institutions, Islamic organizations and consumers respond to and are affected by calls to boycott (anti-consumption) and boycott (consumption) a range of products. More specifically, this article examines the above issues building on ethnography from fieldwork with Muslim Consumers Association of Malaysia (PPIM), which is an organization that protects the interests of Muslim consumers and entrepreneurs, as well as Malay Muslim middle-class informants.

Energy management is a critical component of intelligent, low-energy buildings. Demand-side management may benefit more from energy management. It could allow the system to use less energy while still meeting its demand for the available resources. According to recent research, buildings may reduce their energy use by up to 30% via improved operations, which are often based on effective energy management using the load priority algorithm. As a result, there is still room for energy savings in buildings via improved and effective operation. Smart grids provide electricity systems with suitable infrastructure for enhancing building energy efficiency. The secret to creating energy-efficient processes is creating rules based on energy consumption priority algorithms. When an energy bank is limited and an energy supply to a system is needed for a specific time, the priority algorithm is frequently used. In this study, a priority algorithm is put forward and put to the test in a real-world setting of a low-energy building.

This study aimed to find the spatiotemporal evolution rules of the leisure consumption of urban residents in China. Based on the measurement of the marginal propensity of leisure consumption for urban residents over the past 20 years, a mixed regression of leisure consumption and disposable income showed that, the growth rates of education, culture, entertainment, transportation, communication, and healthcare large, and these growth trends remain obvious. The coefficient of variation of leisure consumption shows that, transportation and communication consumptions differ among regions. The differences in education, culture, and entertainment consumption have rapidly converged. The spatial correlation analysis of the Moran index showed that, the regional association degree of leisure consumption is not obvious, but there is a clear mutual pull regarding education, culture and entertainment consumptions. Based on the results, suggestions were proposed to further expand the leisure consumption needs of residents, so as to achieve sustainable and sound development of residents’ leisure.

Electricity consumption accounts for a considerable part of the final energy consumption, and it is important for economic development and human life. This study explores the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics and influencing factors of electricity consumption in the Yangtze River Delta region in China from 2006 to 2019, using the gravity model and Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index method, respectively. The results show that: (1) The centers of gravity for the total final, industrial and residential electricity consumptions have a trend of migration towards the west. (2) The distance of migration of the center of gravity for residential electricity consumption is the highest, and the trend of migration of the center of gravity for industrial and total final electricity consumptions are synchronous. (3) Economic development is the main reason for the growth in regional electricity consumption, and the decrease in the investment electricity consumption intensity inhibits the growth of electricity consumption. This study provides references to restrain the excessive increase in electricity consumption and improve the layout of power facilities at the regional level.

Delayed enjoyment and demonstration consumption rituals have become an integral part of people's lives in modern consumer societies. With the accelerated pace of society and evolving consumption patterns, these two consumption behaviors have had a significant impact on consumer decision-making processes and market dynamics. In view of this, this study focuses on the effects of delayed versus demonstrative consumption rituals on consumer behavior and attempts to analyze the psychological mechanisms behind them. The aim of the study is to reveal how operators enhance the consumption experience through delayed gratification and demonstration of consumption rituals, and how these behaviors affect their purchase decisions and consumption satisfaction. This study utilized both questionnaire and experimental methods to collect extensive data from consumers of different ages, genders and socio-economic backgrounds, respectively. Also, to ensure the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the findings, the researcher used a combination of literature analysis and case studies to support the empirical study. Through in-depth analysis of the collected data, this dissertation finds that delayed consumption rituals significantly increase consumers' anticipatory pleasure and subsequent satisfaction, while demonstration consumption rituals deepen the emotional connection between consumers and products in social interactions. The results suggest that these two consumption rituals can effectively increase the perceived value of the product and promote consumers' repeat purchase behavior to some extent. In addition, the results reveal the role of cultural differences in consumption rituals, with consumers from different cultural backgrounds displaying different behavioral patterns when confronted with delayed versus demonstration consumption rituals.

This article aims at analyzing community consumption as a practice model which will create a new model in the understanding of the consumption to the consumptive pattern. In its development, community consumption pattern brings about a shift because of technology and modern facility availability. An approach used to write this report is library research, while the analysis technique applied is a content analysis aiming at getting a valid inference and can be reobserved based on is context. The presence of technology as a representation of facility in the fulfillment of needs are able to encourage the creation of social change, like the spreading of consumerist culture, the change of fashion and lifestyle mode where this condition is institutionalized in a community culture structure so that consuming goods do not only depend on the needs logic but also cover to someone’s emotional substance. That situation systematically shifts traditional values and directs to the global behavior. Consumption towards the construction of consumptive society becomes a conceptual and historical illustration to understand the consumption shifting to the consumptive practice.

Consumptions, in decades; had taken the highest allocation compared to capital expenditure, as confirmed from the current 2023 appropriation bill that was laid before the national assembly. This study seeks to investigate the effect of government consumptions on performance of annual capital expenditure in Nigeria. Government consumptions was proxied by Administration, Economic services, Social and Community services, and Transfers’ consumptions while performance of annual capital expenditure was proxied by aggregate annual capital expenditure. The study employed ex- post facto research design, and used descriptive statistic and ordinary least square regression techniques to analyze the data. Secondary data used were sourced from the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Office of Accountant-General of the Federation, over a period of forty-one years (1981-2021). The data collected were analyzed using Johansen Co- integration test and vector error correction model (VECM). The findings revealed that besides administrative consumption, other explanatory variables economic service consumption, social and community services consumption, and transfers’ consumption had positive and significant effect on the performance of annual capital expenditure. The study concluded that changes in the performance of annual capital expenditure are explained by changes in government consumptions. The study suggested, amongst others; that Government should put in place mechanisms, such as adequate internal control system; to reduce wastages in administrative consumption.

Resumo:
The study aims to test the influence between financial literacy and lifestyle on consumptive behaviour among workers, as well as to test the classic assumption in Keynes ' consumption theory, stating that consumption levels are affected by Income levels. This study was conducted using multiple regression tests that show the conclusion that financial literacy negatively affects the consumptive behaviour and lifestyle of positive effect on consumptive behavior, it contradicts With the classical theory of consumption caused this research is consistent with previous research among students (Pulungan and Febriaty, 2018; Lutfi and Herawati, 2015; Fauzia and Nurdin, 2019), consumption was not influenced by the level of income but also the level of financial literacy and lifestyle.
