Case management, in various forms, is now institutionalized as a core part of policy and programs designed to deliver home- and community-based services to older adults. The case management role, in theory, requires attention to both client and system goals, although in practice the system goals that have received most attention have been gatekeeping and resource allocation. While case managers have been admonished to find and develop resources in the community, this has primarily taken the form of including informal services in individual client care plans. What has been missing is focused attention to the potential of the community as a nurturing environment with the capacity to support older adults and their caregivers. Sustainable care for older adults cannot be achieved by formal service and family support alone. This article proposes the creation of linkages between case managers, who build the service arrangements for older people, and community developers, who are responsible for building community capacity and social capital. It is argued that this linkage is essential for establishing the foundations of a caring community with the capacity to support older people.

Communities can play a variety of roles in the provision and management of education and learning processes. Community contribution to schools can go beyond the traditional financial contribution. It can however extend to a broader range of functions which include administrative (such as school maintenance), managerial (such as student and teacher discipline), financial (mobilizing of funds and resources), pedagogical (establishing a preschool), personnel (monitoring teacher attendance). The community is responsible for providing a harmonious working condition in school. The focus of the school, teaching methods, the focus of the curriculum as well as the school discipline are all ultimately desired from the community in which the school functions. If there is no harmonious and dynamic relationship between the community and school, education will be pallid, illusive and unable to make any positive impact on the learners' behavior. It is therefore against this backdrop, that this paper examines community participation and effective school management.

As community informationization is the extension of e-government, to perform informationization construction in city community construction could enforce community construction and management, perfecting community functions and improve community service quality. However, as there are differences in the environment, conditions and aims of community management both at home and abroad and among domestic cities, community construction can't adopt one same model or to copy entirely from others. Considering this, research on the development laws and model of community informationization is the necessary premise of successfully making community informationization construction. Through analysis on the present state of community informationization both at home and abroad and in major domestic cities, this paper makes a summary of community informationization construction and explores relevant development models, providing helpful references for government to make community informationization construction.

This study aims to find a model of education management for the entrepreneurship development of community based on mosque as a form of community mental revolution movement. The research method used is participatory action research (PAR) which is carried out through four stages, namely, planning, observation, and reflection, which in its implementation are carried out in various cycles of activities with the people of Bantur District. The results showed that mosque-based community entrepreneurship development education management activities were able to identify the actual conditions of the community through a SWOT analysis, which in turn found strategies and methods in solving the problems they faced. After the planning is implemented, the community implements it with the assistance and facilitation of the researcher. Observations were made to identify and analyze strengths, weaknesses, challenges, and opportunities. This was done by involving the community. Furthermore, the community's efforts are then reflected and evaluated; both strengths, weaknesses, challenges, and opportunities are carried out by involving the community.

Most people on the outside of the health care profession are not familiar with this new role of the pharmacist. The general public has created a stereotypical pharmacist's picture as being a person who stands behind a counter, dispenses medicine with some instructions to the respective consumer. Pharmacy practice has changed substantially in recent years. Today’s pharmacists have unique training and expertise in the appropriate use of medications and provide a wide array of patient care services in many different practice settings. As doctors are busy with the diagnosis and treatment of patients, the pharmacist can assist them by selecting the most appropriate drug for a patient. Interventions by the pharmacists have always been considered as a valuable input by the health care community in the patient care process by reducing the medication errors, rationalizing the therapy and reducing the cost of therapy. The development and approval of the Pharmacists’ Patient Care Process by the Joint Commission of Pharmacy Practitioners and incorporation of the Process into the 2016 Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education Standards has the potential to lead to important changes in the practice of pharmacy, and to the enhanced acknowledgment, acceptance, and reimbursement for pharmacy and pharmacist services. As an author, it is my heartiest believe that the book will adjoin significant apprehension to future pharmacists in patient care as most of the portion created from recently published articles focusing pharmacists in patient care settings.

Forest Management in Java is carried out by Perum Perhutani, which has implemented a Community-Based Forest Management (PHBM) system. Pringapus Kecanatan has a State Forest which is quite extensive, however, most of the population around the forest is still in poor condition. The condition of the community around the forest in Pringapus District is illustrated by the people who do not have independence, do not have access to use the forest, the level of education and skills are still low. In an effort to overcome all this, Perum Perhutani is empowering the community in Pringapus District through the Community Forest Management System. This system is considered quite strategic because it is very accommodating to the interests of various parties including the community as the agents of development. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Collaborative Forest Management System (PHBM) from the Institutional aspect, the Empowerment aspect, the Agribusiness aspect and the LMDH Role aspect and formulating a community empowerment strategy through the PHBM. Analysis of the data used to answer the objectives is descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of PHBM research in Pringapus sub-district indicate that the institution is being illustrated by the lack of realization of work programs as well as sub-optimal level of LMDH participation

The drive within (development) policy and practice in the UK is towards ownership of local facilities by local communities, with the surrounding rhetoric focusing on community empowerment, inclusion and sustainable development. Coupled with this is a normative presumption of unproblematic ownership by community. This article seeks to question the uncritical nature of these developments by reference to empirical data from Scotland, gathered through a postal survey of 347 rural village hall committees, six in-depth case studies and interviews with funders and fund distributors whose remit covers village halls. Findings are presented with reference to the Community Capitals Framework, focusing particularly on human, social and political capitals. The evidence shows that village hall committees identify a need for support for human and social capacity-building through training to enable them to move beyond short-term ‘fire-fighting’ and operational challenges towards strategic thinking and sustained community engagement. Funders identify key requirements for communities to enhance the sustainability of village halls, including the need to have a strategic rather than operational mindset and to engage in ongoing community-level capacity-building. With the increasing push towards public sector asset transfer to communities, the article argues that much greater cognisance must be made of the complexities and capacity challenges that exist once an asset has been acquired by a community. More effective brokerage and sharing of resources is a critical component in ensuring that community assets do not become liabilities over time.

This paper summarizes the decentralization policy effects found in an eight-year longitudinal study of the community development block grant program in the United States of America. The effects studied were categorized as programmatic, institutional, and benefits. Attention is also given to the methodological and measurement issues associated with a study of a decentralized program which has operated within a context of shifting federal policies about the appropriate level of federal oversight of the program. The point of emphasis is that analysis of policy effects requires a sufficiently long observation period to be able to discern the continuities and discontinuities from previous policy or lack of a policy. Furthermore, longitudinal policy analysis is also likely to require alteration and refinement of measurement techniques as the research progresses.
