Abstract. Introduction. At the current stage of development of economics, education, science and technology, the role of communication in interpersonal and business interaction of people is of particular importance, and therefore the urgency of training future professionals in the new environment is growing. There is a need to conduct research and reveal the essence of the concept of mass communication management. It should be noted that communication is seen as a complex multifaceted process of establishing and developing contacts between people, which generates the needs of joint activities and which includes the exchange of information, development of a common strategy of interaction of perception and understanding of another person. Purpose. The aim of the article is to generalize scientific ideas about the theoretical aspects of business communication ethics in mass communication management. Results. In order to form the methodological foundations of the new paradigm of mass communication management, there is a need to analyze the basic categories of communication. Research shows that there are different approaches to defining the categories of “interaction”, “communication” and their role in the management of mass communication. As a result of the research the main features of business communication, its types and forms are singled out. It is determined that communication is a complex process that consists of interdependent aspects, where one of the most important is the ethics of business communication. All information processes in society, we can refer to the term “social communication”. Thus “business communication” is defined as communication which purpose is the organization and optimization of industrial, scientific, commercial or other activity where interests of business, instead of concrete interlocutors come first. Conclusions. It is obvious that the importance of communication in business at the present stage of development of society is constantly growing. This process is explained by the fact that the interaction of communicators in the process of communication inevitably implies their certain mood, moral readiness to participate in the communication process. Such readiness often (and always in the process of business communication) acquires a conscious, volitional character, although sometimes it appears as something deeper, as a kind of subconscious entity. The importance of communication in management is explained by the achievement of the goal both in the organizational process of the enterprise and in the effective exchange of information. We are convinced that business development is possible with the introduction of effective communications as the main tool of the manager.

VoIP is a technology used to communicate voice remotely and directly using data communication lines with TCP / IP protocol. But basically, VoIP communication does not guarantee data security when doing communication. A very important security system is added in VoIP communications to maintain the confidentiality of communication, so that communication can not be recorded and played back. To build a security when communicating VoIP, then in this study added an SRTP-TLS security system. The study was conducted on wireless networks by comparing the security of data communications when using the SRTP-TLS security system and without using a security system. Keywords: Wireless, Security System, VoIP

Currently, the industry is using the MODBUS communication method, utilizing RS485 for the distributed equipment and network construction. This method has a rather good transmission and reception distance but has a disadvantage in that it is a half-duplex communication method that cannot simultaneously transmit and receive. Therefore, there is a great need for a full-duplex communication system that can simultaneously transmit and receive two-wire communications. Therefore, in this paper, we propose new communication hardware equipment that can implement a full-duplex communication method by communication signal level in order to overcome the disadvantage of communication speed when using a full-duplex communication method by time division method. The proposed communication hardware is a structure that can transmit and receive at the same time in such a way that two pieces of equipment communicating by two-wire communication can apply the outgoing signal to the same communication line and detect the received signal at the same time. Therefore, the receiving side can analyze the received signal based on the information on the current transmission signal. This signal can only be analyzed by the two communicating devices, indicating that communication security is very good.

Communication is a process of conveying messages from a communicator to a communicant. Communication has elements including communicators, news, media, communicants, and feedback. All of these elements will be interrelated with one another. The rules in the communication process can also be referred to as law and ethics in communication. Sometimes we are a part of the elements of communications that do not understand the law and ethics in communications. The study of law and ethics in communication is not only related to mass media, such as social media, etc. But in communicating directly there are also laws and ethics in communications. In several cases related to laws and ethics in communication, in these cases affecting mothers and teenagers, due to a lack of understanding and knowledge in communication ethics, sometimes they are trapped in the realm of law which will ensnare them in dealing with applicable laws and regulations. Therefore, guidance related to law and ethics in communicating, both direct and through the media, is significant and must always be carried out. So that a sense of comfort and peace is created and no one is harmed in the communication process. This legal and communication ethics coaching will be doing for five times, as stated in the schedule. Training is carried out simultaneously by the coaching team and members. Human-robot interaction requires communication, however what form this communication should take to facilitate effective team performance is still undetermined. One notion is that effective human-agent communications can be achieved by combining transparent information-sharing techniques with specific communication patterns. This study examines how transparency and a robot’s communication patterns interact to affect human performance in a human-robot teaming task. Participants’ performance in a target identification task was affected by the robot’s communication pattern. Participants missed identifying more targets when they worked with a bidirectionally communicating robot than when they were working with a unidirectionally communicating one. Furthermore, working with a bidirectionally communicating robot led to fewer correct identifications than working with a unidirectionally communicating robot, but only when the robot provided less transparency information. The implications these findings have for future robot interface designs are discussed.

This study sought to identify what messages are important to share regarding innovations of new turfgrass cultivars, and to determine the current, preferred, and emerging channels of communication as perceived by Extension/Outreach and Communications professionals in ANR for sending information. This study utilized a focus group consisting of turfgrass extension professionals, an interview with communication professionals, and individual semi-structured interviews. From the twelve questions presented through these methods, seven predominant themes emerged. Effectively communicating about turfgrass involves: (1) conveying long-term benefits of the innovations, (2) considering the sender and receiver of turfgrass information, (3) considering the traditional communication channels used for turfgrass, (4) emerging or sought channels for communicating with clientele about turfgrass, (5) barriers to adopting communication channels for disseminating turfgrass information, (6) factors that influence use of communication channels for turfgrass, and (7) who should be disseminating the identified messages. Respondents indicated that though Twitter was the preferred channel of social media communication for those in the turfgrass industry, interpersonal communication and factsheets were still being requested predominately by their clientele. Respondents recommended working with organizations such as city and county municipalities, as well as residential home builder groups, that are likely to adopt innovations, influence behavior change, and create and institute policies, will be essential for dissemination of information. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions associated with it, researchers are depending on emerging communications channels for dissemination of information more so than traditional methods utilized in the past such as field days

This paper presents a decentralized communication planning algorithm for cooperative terrain-based navigation (dec-TBN) with autonomous underwater vehicles. The proposed algorithm uses forward simulation to approximate the value of communicating at each time step. The simulations are used to build a directed acyclic graph that can be searched to provide a minimum cost communication schedule. Simulations and field trials are used to validate the algorithm. The simulations use a real-world bathymetry map from Lake Nighthorse, CO, and a sensor model derived from an Ocean Server Iver2 vehicle. The simulation results show that the algorithm finds a communication schedule that reduces communication bandwidth by 86% and improves robot localization by up to 27% compared to non-cooperative terrain-based navigation. Field trials were conducted in Foster Reservoir, OR, using two Riptide Autonomous Solutions micro-unmanned underwater vehicles. The vehicles collected GPS, altimeter, acoustic communications, and dead reckoning data while following paths on the surface of the reservoir. The data were used to evaluate the planning algorithm. In three of four missions, the planning algorithm improved dec-TBN localization while reducing acoustic communication bandwidth by 56%. In the fourth mission, dec-TBN performed better when using full communications bandwidth, but the communication policy for that mission maintained 86% of the localization accuracy while using 9% of the communications. These results indicate that the presented communication planning algorithm can maintain or improve dec-TBN accuracy while reducing the number of communications used for localization.

The word “Communication” may be defined as the data by which anyone could share their views, data, emotions of any other person, place, etc. Nowadays, in many organizations, people are facing problems communicating (cannot share their views with others due to lack of communication skills.). In any field, one should be expressive so that they can share their views, data, emotions, etc., with others. This study was carried out to find out the elements that contribute to students' low performance and find solutions to improve teaching and learning of communications at the University of Education in Winneba. The purpose of the review was to highlight suggestions and recommendations on how the communication skills training might be improved. To this end, the investigator has employed interviews, observations, and documents to collect information to answer questions to be answered by this research. The study focused on all the students of the second year and communications professionals as their entire population but used the objectives. In this paper, the author discussed communication as many people cannot share their views with others due to lack of communication. The future scope of communication is wide as it is used for making others understand. It is effective, flexible anyone can understand and it is important for the functioning of any organization.

Microbes are in, on, and around us at all times, yet we cannot easily communicate with them. How do we (continue to) live with microbial life in ways that allow for our mutual thriving? Using a performative lens, this paper analyzes the material practices of fermentation as a way of connecting with different scales of life. It attempts to challenge conventional understandings of communications (e.g. encoding/decoding models put forth by Stuart Hall) by examining the layered manner in which fermentation engages with matter and meaning. The material practices of fermentation require embodied knowledge to work with microbial life, and the discursive considerations of fermentation challenge anthropocentric thought. Thus, materially and discursively, fermentation functions as a continual form of engagement. Thought of as a form of communication, fermentation helps us to consider some of the invisible relations we have with microbes and connect with micro-species we often take for granted.

This article examines the status and the place of such means of interpersonal communication as mail, the telegraph, and the telephone in Soviet society under Stalin. Access to tools of communication created a certain hierarchy in the Soviet Union: the telephone was only accessible in large cities, whereas postal services remained limited across the countryside. As it was being implemented, the Soviet project of a communicating society proved to be full of disparities, ultimately centered on the city-dwelling elite. While the radial scheme of communications networks favored contact between the capital and the provinces, the geographical proximity of the regions did not facilitate communications between their inhabitants. The construction of long-distance networks of sociability was affected by the territorial dimensions of the country, varying access to tools of communication, weak technological development, and bureaucratic malfunctioning.

Communication skills may be defined as sharing views, emotions, feelings, etc. with others. Communicating abilities are among the general talents that are required of college learners. Participants would have been subjected to circumstances, both within and outdoors of the auditoriums, where they would have had to apply their communicating abilities, such as groups discussion and class performances, throughout their undergrad days. As a result, the purpose of this study is to look at the degree of communicative abilities amongst college graduates. A self-administered assessment was used to evaluate communicative abilities, which included 10 characteristics such as oral, written, and sociable conduct. The questionnaire's repeatability was high, with r > 0.08 for each subcomponent. According to the findings of this survey, undergraduate learners have developed strong communications abilities. The future of communication skills will be bright as schools and universities begin to educate their pupils.

Purpose This conceptual paper aims at developing a customer-centric marketing communications approach that takes the starting point in the customer ecosystem. Design/methodology/approach After a critical analysis of existing marketing communications and integrated marketing communication (IMC) approaches, a customer-driven view of marketing communications is developed using recent developments in relationship communication, customer-dominant logic and the notion of customer value formation as value-in-use. Findings A customer-integrated marketing communication (CIMC) approach centred on a communication-in-use concept is conceptually developed and introduced. The analysis results in a CIMC model, where a customer in his or her individual ecosystem, based on integration of a set of messages from different sources, makes sense of the many messages he or she is exposed to. Research limitations/implications The paper presents a customer-driven perspective on marketing communication and IMC. The analysis is conceptual and should trigger future empirical grounding. It indicates the need for a change in mindset in research. Practical implications CIMC requires a turnaround in the mindset that steers how companies and their marketers communicate with customers. The CIMC model provides guidelines for planning marketing communication. Originality/value The customer-driven communication-in-use concept and the CIMC model challenge traditional inside-out approaches to planning and implementing marketing communication.

However, some in society today ignore the principles that need to be adhered to during communication. They are speechless and free to speak to cause libel and dissemination of untrue information from the original facts. As the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia has warned, 'no doubt don't share'. Based on this statement, an analysis of the principles of communication in the Quran should be done to express Allah's command in the ethics of communicating especially to Muslims. The findings showed that there are 19 communication patterns found in the Quran and the reviewers have classified the principles of communication into two main forms which are bi al-Lisan communication and communication bi al-Hal. Based on the principles of communication in life, it is certain that society will live in peace and harmony in accordance with the will of God.

With the development of mobile communication technologies, people can now engage in seamless communications with family members and coworkers at both home and work. When promoting a new mobile communication technology (e.g., the 5G network), firms may be tempted to emphasize how the technology can strengthen communication both within and across the two domains with the hope of improving purchase rates. Yet research has suggested that people may perceive mobile communication differently depending on whether those they are communicating with others who belong to the same domain. Thus, the promotion of the technology to potential users should perhaps consider users’ location domain and their communication targets. Through a field experiment, we show that when promoting mobile communication technology in the home domain, highlighting prevention-focused communication promotes greater purchase rates. However, at work, when coworkers are the target of communication, highlighting promotion-focused communication works better. These findings can not only help practitioners design more effective promotional messages in promoting mobile communication technologies but also contribute to the understanding of nuanced differences in the nature of mobile communication that make it more appealing to users in different within- and cross-domain communication scenarios.

Various previous researchers of journalism and media communication education demonstrated the necessity and importance for media workers to be competent in intercultural communication (IC). Slovenian researchers do not discuss these topics, and IC themes are withal mostly part of a non- obligatory courses where usual teaching and learning methods are applied. To examine the effectiveness and usefulness of different teaching/learning methods in developing students’ intercultural communication competencies, an educational intervention research was suitable, as the method is being useful mostly to solve pragmatic issues. Additionally, the study aimed at determining outgoing students’ intercultural communication competencies (ICC) – knowledge, skills, attitudes, and awareness through their cognitive, affective and behavioural dimensions. Two theoretical approaches were used – one stating that ICC are developed by learning on the ground of our innate predispositions and character and the behavioural perspective. This qualitative-evaluative research was conducted within the International and Intercultural Communication course at the first year of Graduate Study of Media Communications at the University of Maribor. It was a trilingual intercultural situation where learning activities such as role-playing, pantomime, case studies, simulations, individual exploration, and reflection were implemented, since students were not used to them. Participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, qualitative questionnaires, evaluation of class activities and a final exam were used as main research methods. Even though the group adapted very soon, the nonverbal activities were most demanding, and individual activities at home the least accomplished. Although they had theoretical knowledge, experience in public speaking, proactivity and self-reflection skills at basic level, their abstract thinking skills, self-awareness and adaptation were medium. However, they showed a great deal of persistence and creativity as a part of a collaborative and cooperative activities. Therefore, focusing on the learning activities stimulating students’ ICC as a part of a real intercultural situation in journalism and mass communication (JMC) education is recommended.

Abstract We investigate how communication within banks affects small business lending. Using travel times between a bank’s headquarters and its branches to proxy for the costs of communicating soft information, we exploit shocks to these travel times—the introduction of new airline routes—to evaluate the impact of within-bank communication costs on small business loans. We find that reducing headquarters-branch travel time boosts small business lending in the branch’s county. Several extensions suggest that new airline routes facilitate in-person communications that boost small-firm lending.
