Texto completo da fonteWhen insulating materials are submitted to electron irradiation, the so called charging effects occur. These effects may induce changes in electron specimen interaction parameters and hence in many properties of insulator such as secondary electron emission and leakage current. From a fundamental point of view, the study of insulators allow the physical mechanisms of charging to be understood. This manuscript, is subdivided in three parts. In the first part, the experimental aspects related to the process of charge injection using an electron beam are studied. In order to study the electric behavior of the insulator under and after electron irradiation, new measurement techniques are developed and described. In the second part, the correlation between the proprieties of the insulator and its ability to charge evacuation is discussed. Moreover, the influence of the physical processes such as secondary electron emission, leakage current, etc on the electric behavior of the insulator are investigated. The third part concerns an experimental approach for characterizing the internal trapped charge and the electric field build up in grounded-coated insulators during their electron-irradiation. Texto completo da fonteThe works of this thesis concern the design methodology of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (PMSM) for an electric vehicle application. The first part of this report introduces the context of the study and the problem of design. Then, we have shown that it is necessary to adopt an appropriate design methodology based on the progress of each project in the design process. Thus, we proposed different levels of modeling to identify the optimal machine against the specifications, and then characterize it more finely and optimize. The second part of the report deals with the modeling and optimization of the PMSM. First, an analytical model is employed to evaluate the overall performance of hundreds of machines very quickly. The first calculation is used to select the best machine for the application and then optimize them. Then, the second level of modeling is based on reluctance networks. This model allows finer resolution of the PMSM and also permits to perform optimization. The last part of the report is devoted to the optimization of the PMSM in order to greatly improve performances and meet the specifications

Texto completo da fonteEnvironmental constraints and reduction of fossil fuels resources have led industrials and laboratories to search for alternative solutions in the transportation domain. For the last few years, several vehicles or planes functions have been gradually electrified, up to their complete electrification. This thesis presents an AC/DC converter integrated in an Electric Vehicle (EV) for the charger application. The conversion is realized by using the electric traction powertrain, in order to reduce the global cost and increase compactness where a specific motor has been design.During the first phase of the study, a model of the motor used as filtering inductances has been obtained and allowed to highlight an existing magnetic coupling between the motor’s phases.The second step was to define control strategies. Two methods were used. The first one, by a transformation allowed eliminating the majority of the coupling term. In the other method, all coupling elements have been considered. For each strategies, IP and RST controllers based on robust pole placement were designed to ensure system stability.An important part of the work was devoted to the realization of an experimental test bench for AC-DC conversion. A FPGA and a processor were used for control implementation. The control laws has been compared and validated thanks to the experimental platform

Texto completo da fonteThe objective of this work is to present a new kind of levitation system based on the interaction force between a non-magnetic core coil and a permanent magnet, in the case of axial symmetry between devices, as proposed by TEAM Workshop problem 23. This theme is very current and various methods have been studied and proposed in face of the complexity in determining precisely the force over permanent magnets immersed in a magnetic field in an open magnetic circuit. The first big challenge of this work is to obtain an analytical expression for this interaction magnetic force in the case of axial symmetry using the equivalent magnetic charge method. For this, some simplifying hypothesis have been adopted like considering the magnetic field created by the coil approximately uniform over all the permanent magnets face and assuming that magnets magnetization is constant and independent of the variation of its distance to the coil. The system implemented in this work is intended to be used as an experimental bench for the Laboratory of Control of Sao Paulo University. A PID controller was projected by means of graphical tools according to some criteria for performance, both in the field of time as in the frequency domain. Once tuned, the toolbox Real-Time Windows Target of Simulink and the PCI-6221 acquisition board (of National Instruments) were used to control in real time the levitation plant in closed loop. The experimental results were very satisfactory so that the analytical model was considered valid. The system showed good characteristics as, for instance, a good tracking of reference signal, even in large excursions of it, null stationary error, stable levitation at relatively big gaps and a good radial stability. The use of two Hall-effect sensors proved to be efficient in the determination of permanent magnets position.

Texto completo da fonteHigh Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) pleated filters are used to ensure the containment of airborne contamination within nuclear facilities. These filters are often the last barrier before a potential release of radioactive substances into the environment. Predicting their performances (pressure drop and efficiency) is a main thrust of research for IRSN which aims at avoiding any unexpected failure of those devices on French nuclear facilities. The clogging phenomenon is mainly influenced, on one side, by the flow conditions imposed in the ventilation network and, on the other side, by the media characteristics and the particles properties which are collected by the filter. Consequently, the work carried out has been divided into two parts. In the first part, we focused on the study of the airflow behavior within a HEPA pleated filter with an experimental and numerical approach. An experimental bench has been developed to measure the airflow field at the entrance channel of a HEPA filter pleat. Then, the experimental measurements have been used to validate GeoDict® and ANSYS CFX® simulations. The combination of the experimental and the numerical results have been used to develop a model to predict the evolution of the initial HEPA filter pressure drop. The work performed in the second part deals with the clogging of the filter. An experimental bench, dedicated to the characterization of the parameters that intervene in the clogging models such as the porosity, the pressure drop and the particles size, has been developed. Then, numerical simulations conducted with GeoDict® have been realized to describe the cake formation on the surface of a HEPA pleated filter. Finally, we developed a model to predict the evolution of HEPA pressure drop during clogging with micronic particles

Texto completo da fonteThe fundamental objective of this PhD is to deal with the ideology conveyed by the « Front National » by the light of intellectual and historical foundation of the scientific nationalism born in the very first time of the twentieth century of "Maurrassian" synthesis. De facto, a few political and mythical themes highly correlated and constituting an ideological entity are highlighted. Many factors could explain the resurrection of the Nationalism in France, previously almost dead. The aim of this PhD is also to emphasize the importance of this ideological corpus, within the circulation of movements claiming their attachment to this doctrinal thought. The attraction for this political current was made in two steps : fîrstly by the exposition of heavy and timeless principles, apparently basic, which the studied ideology is composed of; and secondly by the large and massive reaction of the libéral institutionalised political parties

Texto completo da fonteLa thèse présente une méthodologie rationnelle pour la conception optimale systémique appliquée à la conception des chaînes de traction électrique. La méthodologie est générale et se base sur l'optimisation sous contraintes. Elle intègre l'utilisation de différents niveaux de granularité au sein du modèle de conception. Une interface a été développée afin d'appliquer aisément cette méthodologie à des cas pratiques variés. Deux objectifs ont été traités, le premier concerne la définition des cahiers des charges des composants, le deuxième concerne la conception détaillée d'un composant de la chaîne de traction en prenant en compte l'ensemble du système. Ces applications mettent en évidence les avantages de la méthodologie proposée et l'importance de l'approche systémique.

In this thesis, the permanent-magnet synchronous generator(PMSG) drive system integrated with bidirectional charger/discharger is designed and implemented. All control schemes of the inverter and converter are realized by microcontroller RX62T. The division-summation(D-Σ) current control is adopted for the AC/DC inverter at PMSG-end, and T-S Fuzzy control is applied to the bidirectional charger/discharger. The three-phase current of the PMSG is converted to a stable DC output and connected with the high voltage side of the bidirectional charger/discharger. The bidirectional charger/discharger is implemented to regulate the power flow. When the output power of PMSG is larger than the DC load, the bidirectional charger/discharger is operated at buck mode . On the contrary, the bidirectional charger/discharger is operated at boost mode. In experiments, the performance of the drive system is verified by changing the DC load at different PMSG speeds. The DC bus is regnlated by the PMSG and bidirectional charger/discharger.

The main purpose of this thesis is to develop the bidirectional charger/discharger and permanent-magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) drive system based on T-S fuzzy control. The design of T-S fuzzy control is accomplished via defuzzification, parallel distributed compensation (PDC), Lyapunov stability analysis and Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) numerical analysis. The three-phase current of the PMSG is converted to a stable 380V DC voltage and connected to the DC bus. The DC bus is connected to the high voltage side of the bidirectional charger/discharger. The Lithium-iron battery is connected to the low voltage side of the bidirectional charger/discharger. When the output power of the PMSG is larger than the DC loads, the bidirectional charger/discharger is operated at buck mode to charge the Lithium-iron battery under constant current mode. When the output power of the PMSG is smaller than the DC loads, the bidirectional charger/discharger is operated at boost mode to transfer energy to the DC bus. In experimental results, the output power of the PMSG is changed under variable speed and current command. The desired value are achieved by the bidirectional charger/discharger under load variation and current command variation to validate the performance of the system.
