Contextualization is a topic of utmost importance in the field of missiology. Over the past several years, the missiological world has debated the merits of one particular approach to contextualization known as the Insider Movement (IM). While much of the discussion has focused on issues of soteriology, hermeneutics, theology of religions, and evangelism, this article intends to assess the potential for IM strategies to produce biblically faithful churches. By leaning on the writings of IM advocates and the recent publication of Jan Prenger’s dissertation, Muslim Insider Christ Followers, one can compare IM strategies along with the testimony of insiders themselves with biblical teaching regarding the church. In order to avoid the accusation of historical, doctrinal, or extra-biblical imposition on the biblical teaching of the church, the common historical marks of the church have not been selected as the criteria for assessment. Instead, four biblical passages containing teaching about the church have been selected drive this exploration exegetically: (1) the church built upon the common recognition of Jesus as the awaited Messiah and Son of God; (2) the church as local, identifiable, gatherable, and responsible body of believers; (3) the church as a pillar and buttress of the truth; and (4) the church as an indiscriminate gathering of gospel-professing and communally covenanted believers. Upon considering the texts that drive these four elements of biblical churches, one confronts several barriers that often attend IM strategies. If such barriers are not removed by IM proponents, this article concludes that it is unlikely that they can produce healthy and biblically faithful churches.

Not all social justice teachings are social justice according to the teaching of the Bible. The case in point is the teaching of critical theory on racism (Critical Race Theory or CRT). This teaching that nowadays has a strong influence over universities in the United States promotes widely concepts such as systemic racism, social binary, and intersectionality, which has actually caused a social rift marked by never-ending racial prejudice. From the biblical point of view, the critical theory view of racism contains social consequences that harm society at large. It has taught a social mindset that runs counter to the biblical teachings on social justice. After discussing the historical background of CRT and the basic tenets of CRT, I will then provide an evaluation of CRT from the biblical perspective by observing its starting point, its view of the root cause of racism, and the primary solution that it offers.

The aim of this study was to distinguish biblical Christian doctrines from fabricated interpretations. A doctrine may be considered cultic if an institution, group or individual develops a theological or doctrinal interpretation that touches minimally on the proper biblical emphasis and lives for the most part outside of that circle. This study is offered, not as an analysis of Christian cultic doctrines but as a pointer to how some Christian movements, groups or individuals develop cultic doctrines or heresies. The spiritual danger arising from the teachings of false prophets calls for believers to strive for the right doctrines so that one can differentiate between truth and falsehood. The study concludes that Some Christians unknowingly embrace Christian cult doctrines because the spiritual leaders who have been entrusted with the responsibility of teaching and preaching sound doctrines have failed to carefully and seriously provide supportive fellowship, true exposition of the word, and raise awareness on cults and cultic teachings.

The article is devoted to the theoretical definition of the role of private property according to the biblical-patristic and moral-ethical teachings of the Catholic Church. Ukraine lacks scientific and theological research on the meaning, purpose and contents of private property. The fundamental task of this article is to find convincing arguments in the Scriptures, the patristic view and the Church’s teaching on the right to private property and whether it has a solid foundation in God’s will and is protected by His law. The article justifies the basic moral criteria related to the right of private property, according to the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Abstract In recent centuries Christians of various denominations have endorsed many different political philosophies that they see as being truly biblical in their approach. Over this time there has been an increasing hostility, by some Christians, towards free markets and political philosophies that hold human liberty as the highest goal such as libertarianism and classical liberalism. This criticism is unwarranted and misplaced as libertarianism and free markets are not only compatible with Christianity, they are also the most biblically sound of all economics systems and political philosophies endorsed by Christians today. Therefore, this paper will argue that Christians of all denominations should endorse free markets and libertarianism if they wish to create a world that follows biblical principles and the teachings of Jesus.

This article interrogates what appears to be an inconsistency – the enduring prevalence of Christianity and the surge of gender-based violence (henceforth GBV) in Botswana, particularly as evidenced by murder-suicides. It investigates the possibility of a connection between Christianity and GBV. To search for such a connection, I used a feminist analytical approach to analyse the text of Hosea, Christian/Biblical teachings relating to gender and traditional Setswana socialisation. The book of Hosea, some Biblical teachings and some aspects of Setswana culture separate men and women in dualistic terms, present women as inferior to men, perceive women’s sexuality as devious, and prescribe violent control of women. Since this flawed outlook is evident in GBV in Botswana, I was led to investigate a hypothetical connection between GBV and Christian/ Biblical teaching. The article ends with recommendations for a response and for reconstructing a gender-empowering alternative.

The teaching of biblical inspiration is one of the basic understandings of the Bible in the Catholic Church. Reading and using the Bible does not guarantee the correct understanding of biblical inspiration. Therefore, this article intends to examine the understanding of biblical inspiration by the Christians and the church's teaching in the documents Dei Verbum and The Inspiration and Truth of Sacred Scriptures. This study uses qualitative method with a field study and literature study. Through this study, an understanding was obtained that the Christians have not understood the teaching of biblical inspiration correctly based on the church’s teaching, where inspiration signifies the cooperation between God and humans in writing the Scriptures. Thus the church needs to make a pastoral service to explain the church's teaching about biblical inspiration correctly.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the way in which Job 38-42 develops and defends a new theodicy through language of creation and of the created order. This thesis will posit that through the course of the divine speeches, divine justice is shown to be an element of divine rule where chaos is limited and confined to specific boundaries, but not entirely eliminated or defeated. Inherent in this justice is compassionate divine care for all parts of creation, including the farthest reaches of the cosmos and uninhabited lands of exile. The social, political and economic conditions of the fifth century B.C.E. are examined as the context for this critique of retributive justice and the singularly juridical understanding of justice that is represented by Job and his friends. The theodicy presented in Job 38-42 defines for Israel a divine justice, which is boundless, and provides a model for human action that upholds empathy and compassion for the outcasts of society.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the descriptions of Yahweh's creative activity in Deutero-Isaiah (Isaiah 40-55). In the last century, biblical scholarship on creation has been concerned primarily with its relationship to redemption. This thesis will study the descriptions independently of redemption.
The references to creation incorporate a broad spectrum of material which is presented randomly throughout Deutero-Isaiah. Because of their diversity, the references will be organized into three groups: Yahweh's initial creation (cosmogony), his creation of the people, and his new creation (his present or upcoming creative activity). Discussion will begin with the cosmogonic material, since it is the most obvious of the groups in terms of its language and similarities to other biblical material. The other aspects of Yahweh's creative activity will then be studied in accordance with their lexical relationship to the cosmogonic texts.
This thesis will investigate what is said specifically about creation, how the creation language functions (i.e., how the message/meaning is effected), and what purpose it serves (i.e., why creation is mentioned). Special attention will be paid to the lexical material in the descriptions, notably the verbs. References will be examined in their immediate context (poem, etc.) and in their Deutero-Isaian context. Where relevant, other texts in Isaiah (Isa 1-66) or the rest of the Hebrew Bible will be used in the expectation that they will provide added insight into the meaning of the references.

There is an increasingly innovative range of resources in education, seeking to create a motivating environment for learning. The aim of this work was to present experience reports on the use of a flight simulator in Brazilian and biblical geography classes in an elementary school and a reformed Christian theology church, respectively. Microsoft® Flight Simulator was used for this purpose. Two educational scenarios are presented here: (1) teaching of geographical aspects of Brazil for 10-years old students; and (2) teaching of biblical aspects for 8 to 10-years old children from a reformed Christian theology church. The classroom was prepared to simulate an internal airplane environment. First, in the elementary school scenario, students could learn about Rio de Janeiro, Niterói (school city), the Amazon rainforest, Brasília (Brazilian capital), Pantanal and the southern region of the country. On the other hand, in the church scenario, children were able to have a bigger picture about Egypt, Sinai desert, Dead Sea, Jordan river, the Sea of Galilee, and other important biblical sites in Palestine, providing a rich opportunity to learn the main stories of the Old and New Testaments. Children approved the use of technology to assimilate the content, and further projects are intended to present this application for adults.

The greatest biblical basis for carrying out the work of preaching and teaching by Christians is the command given by Jesus Christ before he ascended to heaven, and is recorded in Matthew 28:19, 20. The beginning of such a work of preaching/instruction and teaching was on the day of Pentecost in 33 of the Common Era (after Christ), and remains until today, as prophesied by Jesus in Matthew 24:14. This article aims to present and explain how the preaching and teaching ministry of Jehovah's Witnesses is carried out worldwide, refining them based on scientific understanding and the author's theological-ministerial experiences. To this end, under the Giftedean neoperspectivist paradigm and hypothetical-deductive method, it conducts a bibliographical and narrative documentary survey, relating the preaching and teaching ministry of these religious people with their theocratic teachings, practices and procedures, based on their neo-Christian theology. It is concluded that: a) as Christians, we are exhorted, guided, ordered by Jesus to preach and teach the good news of the Kingdom to all people, without discrimination of age, socioeconomic status, clinical condition, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, color, religion, intellectual and cognitive level, profession, wherever they are; b) the preaching and teaching ministry includes formal, informal and hybrid testimonies, the characteristics of which are presented and compared throughout the article; c) as proselytizing practices of Jehovah's Witnesses, their preaching and teaching contribute to the construction of the concept of human dignity.

According to James 2:17,18, “faith without works is dead”; in other words, biblical theory without practice consistent with it is useless to God. For this reason, a religious organization that calls itself Christian, but that does not practice its own teachings in full, is not truly Christian. This does not mean being perfect, 100% correct in everything, because all Christians are imperfect and sinners, which is why we all make mistakes, we sin, whether in words or in actions. . But the continuous effort to maintain an unblemished conduct inside and outside religion, honest, ethical, moral and spiritually approved by God, is a fundamental Christian duty. That said, this work has the general objective of presenting the theocratic practices and procedures of Jehovah's Witnesses around the world. To this end, a bibliographical and narrative documentary review is carried out, under the Giftedean neoperspectivist paradigm, reasoning according to the hypothetical-deductive method. It concludes that for Christian religious teachings and practices to become an acceptable conduct, an acceptable way of life, approved by the Creator God Jehovah, and healthy psychically, spiritually and socially speaking, it is necessary to learn to live at the intersection between biblical knowledge and knowledge scientific. Because failing to follow the first in favor of the second leads to lacisism or atheism, and failing to follow the second in favor of the first leads to religious fanaticism, as is present among Jehovah's Witnesses today.
