Potenciar el aprendizaje y la memoria se ha convertido en una tarea de interés para muchos investigadores. Artículos recientes han podido comprobar es que el ejercicio es una clara herramienta para mejorar capacidades cognitivas de personas y animales gracias a que favorece la liberación de sustancias tales como neurotransmisores y factores neurotróficos. Uno de los factores más importantes es el factor neurotrófico derivado del cerebro (BDNF), que promueve la generación de cambios a nivel neuronal necesarios para la potenciación a largo plazo (fortalecimiento de memorias). Se realizó una búsqueda en las bases de datos de EBSCOhost -en las bases de Academic Search Complete, ERIC, MEDLINE, PsycARTICLES y SPORTDiscus-, Google Scholar, Pubmed y ScienceDirect utilizando una serie de palabras con sus respectivos criterios de inclusión y exclusión. En este trabajo se explican los procesos asociados con la potenciación a largo plazo, abarcando temas como neuroplasticidad, la unión del BDNF con su receptor (receptores de tirosina quinasa B), y además el mecanismo por medio del cual la liberación de la mioquina irisina, como una consecuencia del ejercicio, promueve el aumento de las concentraciones de BDNF en sangre. Basándose en numerosa literatura se describe la relación que existe entre el ejercicio y la generación de cambios neuroplásticos estimulados por proteínas como el BDNF y la consecuente mejoría en la memoria.

This action research aims to determine the current approaches that the school has employed to enhancing parental engagement on the academic performance of the students in the new normal. The participants were of the selected 35 high school teacher, which contains 21 Junior High School teachers and 14 Senior High School teacher, from Valeriano E Fugoso Memorial High School at Boys Town Complex Parang, Marikina City. Parental engagement at school approaches includes volunteering, conferencing with teachers, attending workshops, involvement at school decision making. Also, the parental engagement in the student’s education at home approaches includes helping on homework, communicating encouragement and educational expectation. Results displayed that these approaches enabled parental engagement. Mostly, optimistic comment information from the parents were stimulated and promoted better insight of their child’s performance in school. A significant effect on the academic performance of the learner in PreCalculus course towards the engagement of the parents, whether at home or at school in the new normal. Similarly, parents became more involved both at home and school activities because of the effect of the several approaches which have improved performance in PreCalculus.

Resumo Este artigo examina os manuscritos dos romances Esaú e Jacob (1904) e Memorial de Ayres (1908) de Machado de Assis. Os dois dossiês genéticos são compostos, respectivamente, por 834 e 484 fólios e encontram-se na Academia Brasileira de Letras, no Rio de Janeiro. Com base na tipologia de documentação genética estabelecida por De Biasi (1996), estabeleço o tipo de documento genético que eles constituem. Os dois dossiês genéticos desafiam a tradicional extrapolação das trajetórias textuais representada por um dossiê genético particular, ou seja, uma cadeia cronológica de documentos que vai de planos iniciais de trabalho ao texto concreto. Partindo de dados obtidos a partir da análise codicológica dos dois documentos, dos contratos e da correspondência passiva e ativa do autor, mostrarei que: 1) a produção de uma "cópia passada a limpo" para a composição da primeira edição dos romances serviu para o escritor como uma ferramenta de retextualização, levando-o de volta à fase da composição, o que gerou diversas transformações escriturais e materiais nos fólios; e 2) que os dois documentos serviram como base para a composição tipográfica da primeira edição dos respectivos romances. Vários estágios, fases, funções operacionais e tipos de fólios estão presentes em cada documento. Eles testemunham o trabalho de preparação e retextualização do manuscrito bon à tirer e o processo de produção das primeiras edições, que começa oficialmente quando o editor adquire as obras por contrato e envia os manuscritos para Paris.

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo general identificar las contribuciones de las funciones ejecutivas sobre los procesos emocionales, aportados en las investigaciones científicas empíricas publicadas en las diferentes bases de datos entre los años 2017 y 2022. Se llevó a cabo un estudio documental siguiendo las directrices de la declaración PRISMA guía 2020, con una muestra de 43 artículos seleccionados en las bases de datos ScienceDirect, Scopus, EbscoHost, Proquest, Oxford Academic, PudMed, APA PsycInfo, APA PsycArticles, APA PsycNet, SciElo, Redalyc, Dialnet y Web of Science, con un resumen de términos “funciones ejecutivas AND emociones”, “executive functions AND emotions”, “executive functions AND emotional processing”. Como resultados se encontraron las siguientes categorías de análisis: control inhibitorio, memoria de trabajo y flexibilidad cognitiva. En conjunto se concluye que varios aspectos de las funciones ejecutivas tienen asociación directa sobre varios dominios de los procesos emocionales, lo que deja claro que el procesamiento de las emociones depende del funcionamiento ejecutivo en más de un aspecto; no obstante, al parecer tres habilidades básicas de las funciones ejecutivas (control inhibitorio, memoria de trabajo y flexibilidad cognitiva) son claves en aspectos de los procesos emocionales como la regulación emocional.

Este ensaio tem por objetivo estabelecer um breve recorrido cronológico e destacar uma divisão em fases dos Estudos de Memória, sugerindo-se que, presentemente, há algo de novo a ser confrontado no âmbito dessa área de pesquisa, exigindo uma inflexão no paradigma ora vigente, ou ao menos seu alargamento. Inicialmente traça-se um breve resumo das diferentes fases de constituição dos Estudos de Memória, enquanto um campo acadêmico específico e multidisciplinar, com ênfase em suas escalas de abrangência: local, nacional e global. Partindo-se de tal caracterização, uma quarta fase é sugerida, com a adoção de uma nova escala de construção da memória coletiva, com base no conceito de Antropoceno, cuja introdução traz consigo a necessidade de se ressituar os Estudos de Memória, agora em escala planetária. O texto está organizado em três partes: Antecedências, Incidências e Sequências. Palavras-chave: Estudos de Memória; Memória Coletiva; Memória Social; Antropoceno; Ecologia. ABSTRACT This essay aims to establish a brief chronological overview and highlight distinctive phases of Memory Studies, suggesting that presently there is something new to be confronted within this field of research, requiring an inflection in the current paradigm or at least its enlargement. Initially, a brief summary of the different phases of constitution of Memory Studies as a specific and multidisciplinary academic field is presented, with emphasis on its scales of coverage: local, national and global. Starting from such a characterization, a fourth phase is suggested, with the adoption of a new scale of collective memory construction, based on the concept of Anthropocene, whose introduction brings with it the need to reposition Memory Studies, now on a planetary scale. The paper investigates issues of organization of cadets' cultural life, leisure, and everyday life in the Hetman Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy (NAA) in Lviv. It is noted that the system of NAA's patriotic education is based on the idea of the development of Ukrainian statehood as a unifying factor in the development of Ukrainian society and the Ukrainian political nation. It is claimed that the main directions that provide the cultural development of the NAA cadets are: cycles of thematic events dedicated to the formation of cadets' love for the chosen profession and military job; courage lessons during meetings with veterans of World War ІІ, the NAA graduates, awarded state awards during the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) in Eastern Ukraine; events to honor top cadets; involvement of cadets-participants of the ATO for carrying out educational military-patriotic activities for secondary school students; concerts and art competitions among the cadet units; sports celebrations and competitions, including international ones; Remembrance Days, especially in memoriam of the NAA graduates who died during the ATO; chaplains' pastoral counseling for military personnel and members of their families, religious and educational work, pastoral care and charity; using of such opportunities as clubs and libraries, rooms of military traditions, Lviv cultural and historical institutions (theaters, museums, cinemas, scientific and art exhibitions, churches, etc.), including the relevant infrastructure of the NAA, for organizing quality evening time, leisure on holidays and weekends. Background: The 21st-century model of health research is founded on a broad base of multidisciplinary research that is expeditiously and effectively translated into evidence-based practice, education, policy, and advocacy. The key objective is to improve the health of populations. Dietitians’ roles: Dietitians, whether they are working in clinical or public health nutrition or food science, have a vital role to play in this paradigm of health research. As dietitians’ roles have evolved beyond the traditional ones into subspecialties including epidemiology, nutrigenomics, functional foods, nutraceuticals, toxicology, natural health products, and multidisciplinary research, the need for advanced training in subspecialty fields has become essential. Opportunities: A dietetics background is an excellent foundation upon which to develop a research career in one of these new areas of nutrition. Opportunities for personnel awards and research funding targeted at nutrition clinician-scientists and other nutrition subspecialists have grown tremendously in recent years. Conclusion: The information in this paper is intended to inspire dietitians seeking advanced academic training in one of the new exciting avenues for a career in nutrition. These avenues will permit dietitians to contribute to knowledge discovery, translation, and outreach to improve the nutritional status and health of populations in Canada and globally.

Next-generation sequencing (NGS) can be used to detect tumor-specific genomic alterations. This retrospective single-center study aims to assess the application of an extensive NGS panel to identify actionable alterations and initiate matched targeted treatment for patients with advanced cancer. We analyzed genomic alterations in solid tumor biopsies from 464 patients with advanced cancer with the Foundation Medicine assay (FoundationOne®CDx). Therapeutic implications were determined using the Memorial Sloan Kettering Precision Oncology Knowledge Base (OncoKB) classification. The FoundationOne®CDx was successfully applied in 464/521 patients (89%). The most common altered genes were TP53 (61%), KRAS (20%), CDKN2A (20%), TERT (16%), and APC (16%). Among the 419 patients with successfully analyzed tumor mutational burden (TMB), 43 patients presented with a high TMB (≥10 mutations/megabase). Out of the 126 patients with an actionable target, 40 patients received matched treatment (32%) of which 17 were within a clinical trial. This study shows that the application of NGS is feasible in an academic center and increases the detection of actionable alterations and identification of patients eligible for targeted treatment or immunotherapy regardless of tumor histology. Strategies such as early referral for NGS, inclusion in clinical (basket) trials, and the development of new targeted drugs are necessary to improve the matched treatment rate.

The paper presents the source base of figured forms of the so-called "Egyptian" faience, stored in the archaeological funds of the Krasnodar State Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve. Historiographical review, in relation to the findings from the territory of the Krasnodar region, complements it. The author tested the method of cross-comparison of data from academic literature and archival data and materials of scientific reports. This opens up new opportunities for the study of funeral and memorial cults of the indicated region in the 1st century B.C. – 3d century A.D. The core content of the study is related to the comparison of different types of sources used to form the database created on a reference group of shapes from faience. The author aimed to trace the processes of formation of the source base from the stage of excavation to the creation of reporting and accounting documentation and the subsequent publication of the extracted materials. The paper summarizes for the first time the materials from the territory of Krasnodar region available for the author. These data provide to determine that some types of amulets could be produced from local raw materials at the manufacturing basis of the cities-policies of the Northern Black Sea region. In some field reports, the problem of incompleteness of the primary source base was identified. In some cases, collections’ inventories of the items do not correspond to the data recorded in the course of their scientific processing. Their comparison with the records of the archive and archaeological museum collections allows the author to eliminate the occurring contradictions. Information about amulets and the conditions for their findings contained in academic publications may add details. However, these articles do not acquire the status of a scientific source.

The use of product placement as a marketing communication tool is based on the inclusion of products or brands in the scene where the action is. The use of this tool has benefits for both the producer of the movie, as well as for brands and / or products. There is currently no consensus in the academic world on how to measure the effectiveness of this communication tool. There is scarce scientific evidence in Latin America, and in Chile this format has been used in television programs, and only recently in movies. The objective of this research is to study the influence of placement in movies on explicit memory (unaided recall and brand awareness) and implicit memory (purchase intention) through the implementation of an experiment performed on a sample of 205 Chilean college students, according to the different types of placement in movies: brands as part of the background, used by a main character, and connected with the plot. The results indicate that the higher the degree of integration of the brand with the plot of the film, the higher the probability of stimulating the explicit memory of participants and thereby unaided recall and brand awareness, providing empirical evidence regarding the learning of consumer behavior through placement as a communication tool.El uso del «product placement» como una herramienta de comunicación en marketing, se basa en la inclusión de productos o marcas en el escenario donde se desarrolla la acción. La utilización de esta herramienta presenta beneficios tanto para el productor del largometraje, como también para las marcas y/o productos. Actualmente no existe en el mundo académico un consenso respecto a cómo medir la efectividad de esta herramienta de comunicación. En Latinoamérica existe una escasa evidencia científica, y en Chile, este formato ha sido utilizado en espacios televisivos, y recientemente se está incursionando en el cine. El objetivo de esta investigación es estudiar la influencia del «placement» en las películas sobre la memoria explícita (recuerdo espontáneo y reconocimiento de marca) y memoria implícita (intención de compra) a través de la aplicación de un experimento a una muestra de 205 estudiantes universitarios chilenos, según los distintos tipos de «placement» en las películas: marcas como parte del fondo, usadas por un personaje principal, y conectadas con la historia. Los resultados indican que cuanto mayor es el grado de integración de la marca con la trama de la película, mayor es la probabilidad de estimular la memoria explícita de los estudiantes y con esto el recuerdo y reconocimiento de una marca, aportando evidencia empírica en relación con el aprendizaje de conductas de consumo por medio del «placement» como herramienta de comunicación.

El propósito fundamental del Congreso Internacional Multidisciplinario HUMANIDAD 2021, fue el de ofrecer un momento académico para el intercambio de experiencias y de sensibilización, en torno a tópicos de interés y tratamiento científico, desarrollado en el marco temático de los Grupos de Investigación Asociados de la RedGIA Internacional de ACVENISPROH, Capítulo Ecuador; para así, promoverla discusión y el debate, desde la rigurosidad científica entre docentes, estudiantes, profesionales, innovadores e investigadores a nivel internacional.Este objetivo se cumplió. En este sentido, cabe destacar que detrás de la modalidad, 100% ASINCRÓNICA, establecida como formato del evento; existió un caudal de humanidad. Los participantes pudieron disfrutar de las Conferencias, Ponencias Orales Audiovisuales (POA) y Ponencias Posters (PP) desarrollándose, además, una interacción comunicativa entre los investigadores participantes a través de la plataforma del chaten cualquier momento y lugar. En otras palabras, la estructura tecnológica conformó un escenario didáctico-productivo, propicio para el intercambio de experiencias, sin presiones de tiempo, con las condiciones académicas plenas; enfrentando la adversidad de nada más y nada menos que una pandemia, aúnvigente. Es por ello, que esta memoria representa no solo el esfuerzo de cada uno de los participantes en el desarrollo de sus propuestas investigativas sino, además, del sentir humano por crecernos frente a la adversidad. Es, sin duda, un gran logro. Comoun aspecto muy significativo, destacamos la asistencia de los participantes al área denominada Re-conocernos, un espacio donde intercambiaron impresiones de los sitios turísticos, académicos e inquietudes sobre integración cultural; en un compartir de saberes entre los investigadores de los distintos países participantes: Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, España, México, Perú, Portugal, República Dominicana, Uruguay y Venezuela.Desde este contexto, la presente memoria, se ha configurado de acuerdo con las modalidades y ejes temáticos desarrollados. De esta manera, se reportan propuestas académicas arbitradas, con base alos parámetros propios de este tipo de eventosyen correspondencia a los ejes temáticos, de amplio espectro, presentes en RedGIA-Ecuador: Educación, Salud, Derecho, Psicología, E-sports, Gerencia y afines. Todos, presentados entre las distintas modalidades del evento: Conferencias Magistrales, Ponencias Orales Audiovisuales(POA) y Ponencias Posters (PP). This lecture presents the text of the speech about Celtic origins and the western and eastern Celts delivered by the author at the 2007 Sir John Rhys Memorial Lecture held at the British Academy. It suggests that the Celticity of the people of southern Britain cannot be denied solely on the basis of the non-attestation of the term Celtic, and also comments on the belief that Celtic is a fictitious term.

On the basis of field researches, forwarding data of middle XX century made and collected by V.N. Belitser, stored in the archive of Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology Russian Academy of Science, as well as the analysis of published information made by culture researchers, the rites of the Mordvins associated with funerals and existed in the middle of the XIX – beginning of XXI century are examined. It is revealed that the funeral and memorial rites of the ethnic group are a synthesis of pre-Christian beliefs of the Mordvins with Christian ones. The changes that occurred in the funeral ceremonies of the Mordvins after adoption of Christianity, during the years of Soviet regime and over the past decades are described. As a result of the study, it was found that the funeral rites on the 40th day of the Mordvins, the Mokshas and the Erzi were largely identical; the differences were more regional than ethnic.

Resumo:
Este ensayo tiene como propósito mostrar las características, en específico las deficiencias, de la enseñanza del derecho internacional en Guatemala. En concreto, el texto, a través de un análisis crítico pedagógico del contexto de la realidad de la educación jurídica guatemalteca y una aproximación epistemológica del uso y producción de la doctrina en la investigación legal, determina que la academia actual y su enseñanza en la materia Derecho Internacional es de carácter bancario, conceptual y funcionalista. Es bancario, ya que se basa solamente en trasmitir conceptos a sujetos pasivos que se dedican a memorizar sin realizar una cognición propia; conceptual, por cuanto busca trasmitir aquellos conceptos legales bajo una visión extranjera o eurocéntrica del derecho internacional a través de medios pedagógicos que refuerzan un estudio descontextualizado del derecho; y es funcionalista, ya que su investigación se concentra en recopilar conceptos sin análisis, en su mayoría extranjeros y en detrimento de aquellos concebidos en la propia región centroamericana. El resultado, la pedagogía del derecho internacional en Guatemala sacrifica el desarrollo de la consciencia propia centroamericana que se gestaba en la primera mitad del siglo XX, la cual tenía como base una forma de pensamiento que buscaba armonizar lo cosmopolita con lo parroquial, y al mismo tiempo reconocía sus límites en una geopolítica difícil de maniobrar.

The article traces the process of forming the A.S. Pushkin archive in the first public Moscow museum — Moscow Public and Rumyantsev museum, later the All-Union Public Library of the USSR named after V.I. Lenin. The archive was created for two reasons: identifying the poet’s documents in the archives and collections of his contemporaries and friends, and transfer of the archive kept in the family of Pushkin to museum. In the 19th century, admission the museum took place at the behest of fund holders. After 1917, the process changed — the museum received archives from the nationalized estates. Since the early 1930 in addition to archival documents memorial items be longing to the poet were transferred to the library. The process of centralization and subordination of state ideology affected the legacy of Pushkin. In 1937, an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the death of the poet was held, and in 1938, on its basis, the State Museum of A.S. Pushkin, which was under the jurisdiction of IWL AS USSR. All materials related to the life and work of the poet, as well as the of A.S. Pushkin archive from the library were concentrated in the museum. The museum acted as a research center for Pushkin studies and a political and educational institution. In 1948 the State A.S. Pushkin Museum was transferred from Moscow to Leningrad and all the archival collections that belonged to the museum were transferred to the Institute of Russian Literature Academy of Sciences of USSR.

To offer prospective learners information that yields high net benefits, it is important to understand what they already know. How do educators learn about others’ knowledge? Surveys are a common source of information. In part II of this book, I focus on these surveys and how many different kinds of educators use them. My goal throughout part II is to improve educators’ measures and understanding of what people do and do not know about politics. Better measurement and more accurate inferences from data can help educators more effectively diagnose whether individuals have the knowledge they need to achieve desired competences. Where faulty diagnoses can lead educators to offer information that prospective learners neither want nor need, improved diagnoses can help educators identify information that can help others make more competent decisions. The way that we will achieve the improvements just described is by examining survey-based research and political commentary on a concept that many people call “political knowledge.” The best-known academic book on political knowledge defines it as “the range of factual information about politics that is stored in long-term memory.” The survey questions that are most relevant for this purpose are recall questions. Recall questions are designed to measure whether or not a person has selected declarative memories. “Who is the Vice President of the United States?” is an example of a commonly asked recall question. Interpretations of responses to recall questions are the evidentiary basis for thousands of books and articles on political knowledge and ignorance. If these data accurately measure what people know, and if analysts accurately interpret the data, then educators can use the interpretations to compare what an audience knows to necessary and sufficient conditions for competence at a given task. Part II’s main tension is that not all data and interpretations are accurate. Some survey data are inaccurate, as happens when a survey organization records a survey participant’s response incorrectly. Similarly, some interpretations of survey data are inaccurate, as happens when an analyst uses a survey to make a claim about ignorance that is inconsistent with the survey’s actual content.
