In this thesis, software for control and data acquisition was developed. The main purpose of the software is to provide overview and control of uranium and zirconium nitride syntheses. This includes connecting multiple gas flow controllers and a furnace to the software via a DAQ-module. The developing platform was LabVIEW, a graphical programming language, which offers both great challenges and great advantages. The advantages of easily configurable programs need to be weighed against the difficulty to organize and maintain. The resulting software lives up to most of the requirements, however the control engineering of the furnace was much more challenging than first expected. There are still many improvements that can be made but the end product is fully functional, and provides the ability to simultaneously monitor and control synthesis reactions with multiple gases and reaction environments.
I denna avhandling, har programvara för styrning och datainsamling utvecklats. Det huvudsakliga syftet med programmet är att ge överblick och kontroll av uran- och zirkoniumsynteser. Detta inkluderar anslutning mellan ett flertal styrenheter för gasflöde, en ugn och programvaran via en DAQ-modul. Plattformen var LabVIEW, ett grafiskt programmeringsspråk, som erbjuder både stora utmaningar och stora fördelar. Fördelarna med lätt konfigurerbara program måste vägas mot svårigheten att organisera och underhålla. Den resulterande programvaran lever upp till de flesta kraven, men reglerteknik av ugnen var mycket mer utmanande än först väntat. Det finns fortfarande många förbättringar som kan göras, men slutprodukten är fullt fungerande, och ger möjlighet att samtidigt övervaka och kontrollera syntesreaktioner med flera gaser och reaktionsmiljöer.

The On-board Data Interface Module (ODIM) was developed specifically to provide real-time casualty assessment telemetry data for the training environment on the instrumented range system at the U. S. Army National Training Center (NTC) located at Ft. Irwin, California. Real-time data acquisition and telemetry systems, such as the ODIM, which enhance the feed back capabilities of fielded training systems are becoming increasingly important to the Department of Defense in these times of shrinking defense budgets and decreasing global stability. The ODIM is designed to combine, process and transmit data from the AH-64 (Apache) 1553 data bus, the Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) threat warnings, the on-board training system laser belt, cockpit kill indicators, and status data. The ODIM also downlinks the stored data though the Micro-B transceiver on the AH-64A. For the application at the NTC, the ODIM looks for very specific data from the AH-64 and the MILES/AGES II system. However, the ODIM is programmable to collect any of the data available from these systems. The uplink/ downlink available through the Micro-B transceiver allows the user access to the ODIM's features even from a remote location.

Diploma´s thesis is focused on analysis of recodification of private law of the Czech Republic, which was released at the beginning of 2014. Attention is mainly paid on the part of the recodification of private law, which is connected with commercial corporations. The thesis is focused on the law number 89/2012 Sb., nový občanský zákoník and also the law 90/2012 Sb., o obchodních společnostech a družstvech, which are valid since January 1th 2014. The facts of findings are presented on a specific example of merger acquisition. The aim of this thesis is to point out possible problems connected with rectification and its following projection into the issue of company transformation.

One of the U.S. Army's requirements for reenlistment of first term soldiers is a minimum score on the General Technical composite of the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery of one hundred. The score is a measure of academic ability. The primary goal of the Basic Skills Education Program is to assist the soldier in gaining basic skills, with a secondary goal of enabling him or her to retest at a sufficient level to become eligible for reenlistment. While most soldiers are able to meet this goal, a few are unable to achieve an acceptable score on the retest. It was hypothesized that some of these soldiers are learning disabled. The Army has not recognized learning disabilities or the need of the learning disabled for special teaching and testing methods. This study was designed to identify students enrolled in the Basic Skills Education Program who are learning disabled. Two instruments were involved: the Revised BETA II, which yields a measure of aptitude, and the Tests of Adult Basic Education, which produce achievement scores in the areas of reading, mathematics, language, and spelling. The instruments were correlated on 112 soldiers from the Training Brigade at Fort Bliss, Texas. They were then administered to 100 first term soldiers enrolled in the Basic Skills Education Program at Fort Bliss. Two formulae acceptable in the field of learning disabilities were applied to the results. The Frequency of Regression Prediction Discrepancy model identified nine soldiers as learning disabled in ten academic areas. The Standard Score Difference model, which does not account for regression, identified sixteen soldiers in twenty four areas. With evidence that learning disabled soldiers exist in the Basic Skills Education Program, recommendations were made that the U. S. Army recognize and address learning disabilities and incorporate appropriate testing and teaching methods to accommodate those soldiers.

Researchers in the Psychology Department and the Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Sciences Department sought to improve elementary school children’s in-school fruit and vegetable (FV) consumption. To achieve this goal, a program that has proven effective in the UK called the Food Dudes (FD) program was implemented in six local schools. Schools were assigned to either experience the traditional FD program (with prize rewards, such as pencil cases and bubbles), a modified version of the FD program (with praise rewards replacing the prize rewards), or no FD program (the control group). Students who consumed a pre-specified amount of FV each day during the intervention earned a reward according to the program’s schedule. Results showed that students in the Prize schools were consuming more FV than students in the Praise schools and the Control schools at follow-up when the intervention had been removed for six months. While the success of the FD program with prize rewards (i.e., incentives) was encouraging, many teachers reported issues with its implementation. An incentive-based intervention may be difficult for schools to implement due to high labor and material costs, especially without outside assistance. Therefore, we aimed to reduce these costs while maintaining the use of incentives. We developed an intervention based on the principles of gamification in which students earned in-game, virtual rewards for meeting their FV consumption goals each day at school. This intervention was rated favorably by teachers and parents and showed significant increases in school-wide and individual FV consumption in two schools in Logan, UT, but long-term increases were not obtained. Improving children’s dietary decisions, namely FV consumption, is an important goal that can positively impact future health. Sustainable, incentive-based interventions, like the school-wide gamification model developed in this project, represent a promising step toward achieving this goal.

This study is based on Kirkpatrick's (1996) four level evaluation model. The study assessed the correlation between and among three levels of data that resulted from evaluation processes used in the U.S. Air Force technical training. The three levels of evaluation included trainee reaction (Level 1), test scores (Level 2), and job performance (Level 3). Level 1 data was obtained from the results of a 20 item survey that employed a 5-point Likert scale rating. Written test scores were used for Level 2 data. The Level 3 data was collected from supervisors of new graduates using a 5-point Likert scale survey. The study was conducted on an existing database of Air Force technical training graduates. The subjects were trainees that graduated since the process of collecting and storing Levels 1 and 2 data in computerized database began. All subjects for this study graduated between March 1997 and January 1999. A total of 188 graduates from five Air Force specialties were included. Thirty-four cases were from a single course in the aircrew protection specialty area; 12 were from a single course in the munitions and weapons specialty area; and 142 were from three separate courses in the manned aerospace maintenance specialty area. Pearson product moment correlation coefficients were computed to determine the correlation coefficients between Levels 1 and 2; Level 1 and 3; Level 2 and 3 for each subject course. Multiple linear regression was used to determine the relationship between the composite of Levels 1 and 2 and Level 3. There were significant correlation coefficients between Levels 1 and 2 and Levels 2 and 3 for only one of the five courses. The linear regression analysis revealed no significant correlation using the composite of Levels 1 and 2 as a predictor of Level 3.

The purpose of regulation of financial assistance to limited liability companies Purpose of this thesis is to show that the regulation of the financial assistance for acquisition of own shares in case of limited liability company (in Czech: "společnost s ručením omezeným") does not make sense anymore. As it fails to fulfil its original purpose, and, moreover, it repeatedly causes significant problems to transactions that would bring an economical advantage if it was not for the financial assistance regulation. Aim of chapter one is to summarize the history and the development of the financial assistance regulation in the Czech Republic as well as in other jurisdictions. Some issues which are typically linked to the financial assistance regulation are shown by the comparison especially with the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom. Significant trends in the financial assistance regulation are also described in chapter one. Chapter two concerns the current financial assistance regulation in the Czech Republic. Author deals with provision of financial assistance by the limited liability company under act on business corporations. The diploma thesis deals with the issue of bibliotherapy and possibilities of its use in older school age children with ADHD diagnosis. The objective of this thesis is to create, to implement and to evaluate a bibliotherapeutic program for the defined group. The first theoretical chapters defines the concept of bibliotherapy, its types, forms, objectives and the process of compiling the bibliotherapic program. The next chapters describes the ADHD disorder, its etiology, diagnostics, ADHD manifestations and the treatment and education of a child with ADHD. The last theoretical chapter describes the use of bibliotherapy for children with ADHD in our country and abroad. The practical part occupies with layout of a bibliotherapeutic program and its implementation. It is focused on the development of social skills and self-reflection and also on attention training for children with ADHD. The program have been done with a small group of boys with ADHD aged 13 - 15. Structured and unstructured observations and unstructured interview was used as a research method. The results of the research refer to the benefits and risks of bibliotherapeutic work with children with ADHD.

Název práce: Kompenzační program u žáků s vadným držením těla na II. stupni ZŠ. The compensating program for pupils with poor posture at the second grade of elementary school. Cíl práce: Sestavit cvičení, kompenzující vadné držení těla (dále jen VDT), pro vybraný soubor žáků II. stupně základní školy. Toto cvičení následně vhodně začlenit do školního programu a zjistit jeho účinnost v praxi pomocí druhého testování totožnou metodou a dále konfrontací s kontrolní skupinou žáků. Metoda: Vyšetřovaný soubor tvořily dvě skupiny žáků po 30. Jedna skupina byla Experimentální a druhá Kontrolní. Vyšetřovaný soubor byl testován pomocí modifikované metody Jaroše a Lomíčka. Skupina Experimentální cvičila dle vytvořených cviků. Analýza dat se prováděla statistickým rozborem. Výsledky: Výsledkem mé práce je zjištění, že vhodně zařazeným cvičením do školního programu lze prokazatelně zlepšit VDT. Klíčová slova: cvičení, vadné držení těla, svalová rovnováha, kompenzace, metoda dle Jaroše a Lomíčka.

This study investigates the patterns in nonword repetition performance of children with a developmental language disorder and bilingual children. It has been shown by previous research that both children with developmental language disorder and bilingual children tend to perform poorly in nonword repetition tasks. As these tasks are one of the tools often used for diagnosing markers of DLD in young children, diagnosing bilinguals with DLD proves to be difficult, since both of the groups exhibit a poor performance. An analysis of the patterns found in NWR performance of bilingual children and children with DLD might shed more light onto the issue. The study focuses on analysing the performance in a widely used assessment task - The Children's Test of Nonword Repetition. Three samples of data were analysed. The first sample of data consisted of monolingual English-speaking children diagnosed with a developmental language disorder. The second sample of data consisted of Czech-English bilingual children from international schools in Prague who started acquiring English at the time of birth, i.e. simultaneous bilinguals. The third and final sample consisted of Czech- English bilingual children from international schools in Prague who started acquiring English after one year of age, i.e. sequential bilinguals....

Title: Group exercise with elements of the method Pilates in individuals with ankylosing spondylitis - comparisons with the control group Objective: Find impact of group therapy with engaging Pilates method to movability of axial system, functional status, activity of disease and total health status of individuals with ankylosing spondylitis. Compare this method with compensation group motion program in individuals with ankylosing spondylitis. Methods: 26 individuals with ankylosing spondylitis of average age (38,25 ± 9,18) attending Institute of Rheumatology in Prague were chosen. Probands were split into two groups: experimental group, which were doing motion program with elements of Pilates (n=13), and control group, which were attending compensation group motion program in individuals with ankylosing spondylitis. It was empirical quantitative research, exactly comparative quasiexperiment, where was compared individual groups in between (inter-group) and, moreover, influence of individual motion programs (intra-group). Data gathering was executed twice - at the beginning of quasiexperiment (pre-test) and at the end (3 months after; post-test). Those parameters were examined: Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Metrology Index for axial system region and expansion of chest, Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis...

The object of this thesis is to ascertain the influence of the basic combatant sports on the fitness of the pupils in the first degree of elementary school. For this purpose training programme karatedo was created on the basis of my experience and experience of many specialists (trainers and scholars). Their valuable advices and observartions have been an inspiration for my work. Gathered information were then properly analysed in the thesis. On this ground an educational programme have been established. It could serve as a useful instrument not only for the teachers and trainers but also for others interested in this area.Before establishing the actual programmme, It had been necessary to examine the pupils' condition in order to be able to define the inicial and final level of pupils's fitness. For this reason the compilation of tests of motoric performance and fitness called EUROFIT was applied. Obtained information were recorded and on the basis of the results the final resume on the influence of the basic combatant sports on the fitness of the pupils in the first degree of elementary school was elaborated.

This Diploma Work is focussed on application of restrictive agents with patients who are afflicted with violent and aggressive behaviour. The up-to-date civilization has brought, expect for further changes, also a very principal change that presents a substantial increase of psychic and psychiatric disorders. That is why it is necessary to think about the question how to prevent aggression and violence in medical facilities. It is evidenced that more cases of patients showing aggressive and violent behaviour occur nowadays. What are preventive news in occurrence of aggression while hospitalization? What are legal news and standards applied to limiting and restrictive means? It is not a rule any more that we meet a patient with aggressive or violent behaviour only in psychiatric departments. However, we can meet those patients in any departments and facilities of healthcare. The Diploma Work is split into a theoretical and a practical section. In the theoretic part we state the human psyche evolution, aggression and violence origination and evolution, kinds of aggression, violent behaviour and demographic occurrence thereof within existing population. Further on, we mention kinds of restrictive measures, their indications and the statutory framework dealing with this problem area. A status of nurse and a nurse competence in that area represent an important element of the theoretic work. Four objectives were set in the practical part of the Work. The first goal was aimed to find out work fastidiousness of nurse providing care to patients with aggressive and violent behaviour. The second goal had to recognise what was taken for the greatest problem area within nursing care at treatment of patients with aggressive and violent behaviour. The third goal was to find out any benefits and shortages in the application of restrictive agents at treatment of patients with aggressive and violent behaviour. Finally, the fourth goal was set to find out and compare nursing staff?s opinions on the application of restrictive agents and main problems in that field. The above objectives were met. Based on those objectives research questions were defined. What is the work fastidiousness of nurses who take care of patients with violent and aggressive behaviour? What is considered by the nurses as the most problem area within providing healthcare to aggressive patients? What is the positive application of restrictive agents with patients showing aggressive or violent behaviour? What special reform should be performed in the application of restrictive - limiting means? The asked questions were answered. A qualitative investigation was used to work out the Diploma Work. Collection of needed data was carried out by help of procedure of a non-standardized, structured dialogue. Our investigation took place in the psychiatric department of Klatovy Hospital a.s. , the psychiatric department of University Hospital in Plzeň , Psychiatric Medical Institution in Dobřany and other more departments. The nurses? answers were compiled in casuistries from which though maps were made up. The described investigation was running from January to July 2011. The results of my Diploma Work might serve as a feedback for the hospitals and medical institutions in which the above investigation was performed. An educative programme for nurses was created.

This master thesis deals with the questions of teaching the small school children to read. Particularly, there is paid attention to teaching children with reading disorders. The theoretical part of the thesis specifies the reading disorders and the methods of work which lead to the succesful training of the reading abilities. The practical part of the thesis subsumes working with children of the small school "ZŠ Josefa Suka" and the kindergarten "MŠ Křečovice,preparing materials for teaching reading to either children without any learning disabilites or those with disabilites and verifying the materials in practical training.

Title: Comparison of educational and compensation exercise programmes for ankylosing spondylitis patients Objective: The objective of the research was to determine the effect of two educational and compensation exercise programmes on the mobility of the axial system, the functional status and disease activity (including inflammatory process activity) in individuals with ankylosing spondylitis. Methods: The research group included men and women (average age of 35.42 ± 7.15 years), all out-patients of the Institute of Rheumatology in Prague. Bidirectional transfer in Hindi/Urdu speakers with Czech as a Second Language Nora Melnikova Abstract The aim of this project is to examine the influence of Hindi/Urdu on Czech in advanced Hindi L1 speakers of Czech as a Second Language, as well as the influence of Czech on their respective L1. This is the first project of its kind. So far, there has been no research on Hindi/Urdu L1 speakers of Czech, in spite of the fact that dozens Hindi/Urdu L1-speakers enroll in Czech language courses in India every year and thousands of Hindi/Urdu L1-speakers are permanent or long-term residents of the Czech Republic and have acquired Czech at various levels of proficiency. The practical objective of this thesis is to provide first empirically based insights for teachers of Czech as a Foreign/Second Language to Hindi/Urdu L1-speakers in India and in the Czech Republic, as well as for teachers of other Slavic languages. The study analyzes the language production of 10 Hindi/Urdu L1 speakers who have lived in the Czech Republic for at least 5 years. The analysis is based on recordings of informal conversations. Title: The effect of physiotherapy on balance in multiple sclerosis Objectives: The aim of this study is to compare efficacy between ambulatory individual physiotherapy and complex inpatient rehabilitation in people with multiple sclerosis on balance and subjective evaluation of general health. In ambulant program to compare effect of different physiotherapeutic methods (Motoric program activating therapy, Manual physiotherapy correction, Reflex Locomotion according to Vojta). Methods: A combined design of study. Ambulant program has randomised assessor blind design, in which subjects were divided into one of the three groups of ambulatory physiotherapy. A clinical study without control arm design is used in case of comparison between complex and ambulatory program. Results were analysed in 45 patients with multiple sclerosis (25 subjects of ambulatory program, 20 subjects of complex program). Subjects of the ambulatory program were divided into one of the three groups of ambulatory physiotherapy (Motoric program activating therapy, Manual physiotherapy correction, Reflex Locomotion according to Vojta), in which they absolved during two months 20 therapies (2-3 times per week, length 60 minutes). Summary: Title: Three-month activity programme and its influence on actiYity and participation in Multiple Sclerosis patients with mild and moderate degree of disability (EDSS 1-4) Aim of the paper: Evaluation of the activity and participation changes in Multiple Sclerosis patients with mild and moderate degree of disability (EDSS 1-4) after having completed a three month activity programme Methodology: At two equally sized groups (n = 10) of Multiple Sclerosis patients with mild and moderate degree of disability (EDSS 1-4) the activity and participation changes have been examined throughout a three month period, using the MKF (ICF- WHO 2001), WHODAS II and MSQOL-54. The first, experimental group have undergone the three month activity programme. The second, control group of chosen patients have not carried out any regular activity throughout the same time period. The input (before start of the programme) and output (after termination of the programme) results of individua! participants have been compared and statistically evaluated. The aim of the study was to demonstrate that the reading strategies can be applied even for the preschool children. These strategies help children to understand the text read out aloud. In the theoretical part I am devoted to define the concept of pre-reading literacy, its connection with critical thinking and introducing the program Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking. I also clarified the relationship between reading skills and reading strategies, approached selected reading strategies and possible methods for their development. In conclusion of the theoretical part I outlined some of the strategies that might be suitable for working with preschool children. In the practical part I focused on the acquisition of individual strategies for preschool children, for the exact strategies: connecting (text to self, text to text, text to world), visualizing, predicting, reasoning, summarizing and questioning. Each of them I presented on concrete examples. I also proposed an integrated project involving work with these strategies, which I realized and then analysed. Based on the results of research, I have concluded that preschool children can work very well with these strategies, while indicating that these significantly contribute to the comprehension of the text of preschool children. The thesis deals with the possibilities of developing emergent literacy, especially story comprehension, with preschool children using selected methods of critical thinking. The theoretical part is devoted to the ways of developing passion for reading and reading literacy in preschool education, it pursues the possibilities of using some of the methods of the RWCT programme (Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking) in working with books in the educational process of the kindergarten. It further describes the development of chidren of preschool age and reading strategies that can already be cultivated at this age. The practical part describes the project Working with Jiří Stránský's book Tales for little Clara that is based on didactic application of its texts intended for preschoolers. The project makes use of selected methods of the RWCT programme. Research using the method of structured interview finds out how methods of critical thinking can influence story comprehension among five-year-old children. It evaluates and interprets the findings from the beginning and the end of the project implementation, compares the determined levels of story comprehension in a group of girls and in a group of boys.
