The operation and maintenance management of telecom platforms puts more emphasis on operation and alarm monitoring and less on business flow, and it is difficult to have a seamless connection between operation and maintenance and sales. To improve the cooperative efficiency and the informatization level of telecom platform operation and maintenance, a new operation and maintenance system integrating Apriori association rules for a telecom platform is proposed. In this paper, the Apriori algorithm is firstly used to analyse the fault correlation of the operation and maintenance system of the telecommunications platform to get the alarm message. Then, the fault risk of the operation and maintenance platform is evaluated intelligently by the system-business alarm causality model. Finally, based on the fixed end and the mobile end, the dynamic presentation of the system running state and alarm monitoring, device query and positioning, and online and offline inspection are implemented and designed, respectively. Experimental results show that the proposed operation and maintenance systems integrating Apriori association rules for the telecom platform innovate the cooperative mode between the operations and sales team, and the average time reduces to 3.9 minutes from 4.7 minutes and the risk forecasting accuracy increases from 8% to 26%. The assumed method can significantly improve the operational efficiency and intelligent level of the telecom platform’s system and business.

We are an electronic resources librarian and a systems librarian, and in the course of our research on unaffiliated users and academic libraries, we continued to identify and be stymied by trends in vendor technologies, systems, sales models, and products that caused concern. We hope to share these concerns, summarize the landscape, and also provide some advice on possibilities for collective action as we move forward.

The outbreak of COVID—19 has raised considerable alarm about public health and safety. The response to the outbreak, however, has also brought concern regarding its impact on local governments in the United States. Local governments have been a primary respondent in the fight against the COVID—19 disease, but the response has also reduced income from a key source of revenue, sales tax. Using North Carolina counties as a case study, we explore the shock to sales and use tax revenue faced by local governments from COVID—19; we, then, estimate its impact on county fiscal health. Our results show that while many local governments were financially struggling before the outbreak, the drop in sales tax revenue severely threatens their ability to provide continued response to the virus as well as their ability to remain solvent.

ABSTRACT We study the interaction between interbank competition and accounting information quality and their effects on banks' risk-taking behavior. We identify an endogenous false-alarm cost that banks incur when forced to sell assets to meet capital requirements. We find that when the interbank competition is less intense, an improvement in the quality of accounting information encourages banks to take more risk. Keeping the banks' investments in loans constant, the provision of high-quality accounting information reduces the false-alarm cost of assets sales and improves the discriminating efficiency of the capital requirement policy. When considering the banks' endogenous investment decisions, however, this improvement in discriminating efficiency causes excessive risk-taking, because banks respond by competing more aggressively in the deposit market, and the increase in deposit costs motivates banks to take more risk. Our paper shows that improving information quality increases risk-taking with mild competition, but has no effect under fierce competition.

The quick development of machine learning techniques provides a superior capability for manufacturing enterprises to make effective decisions about inventory management based on spare parts demand (SPD) data. Since SPD sequences in practical maintenance applications usually show an intermittent distribution, it is not easy to represent the demand pattern of such sequences. Meanwhile, there are some aspects like manual report errors, environmental interference, sudden project changes, etc., that bring large and unexpected fluctuations to SPD sequences, i.e., anomalous demands. The inventory decision made based on the SPD sequences with anomalous demands is not trusted by enterprise engineers. For such SPD data, there are two great concerns, i.e., false alarms in which sparse demands are recognized to be anomalous and missing alarms in which the anomalous demands are categorized as normal due to their adjacent demands having extreme values. To address these concerns, a new unsupervised anomaly-detection method for intermittent time series is proposed based on a dual-tailed probability. First, the multi-way delay embedding transform (MDT) was applied on the raw SPD sequences to obtain higher-order tensors. Through Tucker tensor decomposition, the disturbance of extreme demands can be effectively reduced. For the reconstructed SPD sequences, then, the tail probability at each time point, as well as the empirical cumulative distribution function were calculated based on the probability of the demand occurrence. Second, to lessen the disturbance of sparse demand, the non-zero demand sequence was distilled from the raw SPD sequence, with the tail probability at each time point being calculated. Finally, the obtained dual-tailed probabilities were fused to determine the anomalous degree of each demand. The proposed method was validated on the two actual SPD datasets, which were collected from a large engineering manufacturing enterprise and a large vehicle manufacturing enterprise in China, respectively. The results demonstrated that the proposed method can effectively lower the false alarm rate and missing alarm rate with no supervised information provided. The detection results were trustworthy enough and, more importantly, computationally inexpensive, showing significant applicability to large-scale after-sales parts management.

Earnings manipulation involves alteration, adjustment, exploitation, and even timing of transactions in financial statements with the intention to report a sound economic performance in a company. This act could jeopardize the company’s financial performance in the long run and also make its stakeholders to suffer significant losses. Therefore, a tool to detect or predict earnings manipulation would be helpful to the stakeholders, practitioners, regulators, academicians, and professionals in the accounting field. Besides, an early detection tool is needed to alarm the enforcement agencies to make further investigations or legal actions. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyse the Beneish M-Score models and its eight accounting variables to detect the likelihood to engage in earnings manipulation in the case of Malaysian PLCs (Public Listed Companies). The financial data of 80 of PLCs from 2015 to 2017 were gathered. This study applied Beneish Model as a detection tool for earnings manipulation and anomalies of red flags and to classify the companies into two groups, which are manipulators and non-likely manipulators. The Independent T-tests were analysed to identify dominating ratios. The results of this study found that M-Score and its three indexes were significantly different for manipulators and non-likely manipulators, which are Sales Growth Index (SGI), Total Accruals to Total Assets (TATA) and Days' Sales Receivable index (DSRI). The percentage of manipulators had slightly decreased in 2016 and gradually increased in 2017. Hence, the inflation or overestimation of sales and revenues, as well as accruals, could signals earnings manipulation.

Purpose: The article discusses the plan of integrated marketing communication with an emphasis on designing a strategy for the brand X. Marketing communication is one of the key elements of strategic marketing, as it has a significant impact on the recognition and success of a company or brand. It should be emphasized that in the era of information technology, information overload, and increasing consumer demands, the concept of marketing communication is much more complex than simply informing target customers about the existence of a product or service. Methodology: The quantitative research was carried out using a survey questionnaire technique. For this purpose, we used a web-based 1KA survey sent via email addresses. Results: The survey determined (1) the level of general interest in alarm systems for the protection of residential, holiday, and commercial properties, (2) the level of awareness of brand X. We further identified (3) the target audience of the brand X, (4) the key message for advertising needs and (5) communication channels through which to address the target audience. Practical implications: The obtained results were our key guidelines in designing a marketing communication strategy for the brand X, aimed at improving the effectiveness of current marketing campaigns and increasing the sales of products under the selected brand.

PT. Numalos Abadi merupakan perusahaan distributor dan layanan purna jual mesin, salah satunya adalah decanter Flottweg Z5E. PT. Numalos Abadi memerlukan penerapan Internet of Things untuk mendapatkan informasi mesin, salah satu informasi mesin yang menjadi fokus utama adalah running hour yang merupakan penjumlahan durasi mesin berjalan. Running hour yang tidak terpantau mengakibatkan penurunan kinerja mesin yang berdampak pada hasil produksi maupun kerusakan mesin. Tidak adanya pemberitahuan dini waktu perawatan mesin mengakibatkan tidak adanya persiapan materi maupun waktu yang merugikan bagi customer. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, dikembangkanlah sebuah solusi berupa sistem monitoring dan laporan mesin untuk mengelola waktu perawatan mesin dan mengurangi potensi kerugian bagi customer. Pengembangan sistem monitor dan laporan mesin diimplementasikan menggunakan Amazon Web Services dalam aplikasi web dan mobile. Dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan aplikasi web dan mobile menggunakan metodologi Waterfall untuk menghasilkan kualitas sistem yang baik dan dokumen pengembangan sistem yang terorganisasi. Pengujian dilakukan secara simulasi dan running hour yang telah melewati batas akan menampilkan indikasi alarm serta notifikasi. Pengujian Black Box yang dilakukan juga menunjukkan secara fungsional aplikasi dapat bekerja dengan baik dan mengeluarkan hasil yang diharapkan.PT Numalos Abadi is a distributor and after-sales service company for machinery, one of which is the Flottweg Z5E decanter. PT. Numalos Abadi required using the Internet of Things to obtain information on the machines it distributes. One of the main focuses is the running hour of a machine which is the number of hours a machine is in operational mode, if not monitored could cause a decrease in machine performance which impacts the production results and machine damage. Due to the absence of a notification Customers often requests sudden maintenance without any preparation. Based on this problem, a solution was developed in the form of a machine Monitoring and Reporting system to manage maintenance time and reduce potential losses. The development of the system is implemented using Amazon Web Services in web and mobile applications. Waterfall methodology is used in this research to produce good system quality and organized system development documents. Testing is done by simulation and running hours that have exceeded the limit will display alarm indications and notifications. Black Box testing shows that functionally the application works and produces the expected results.

Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province was deeply affected by the massive floods of July and August 2022. These unprecedented floods not only threatened human lives at national scale but also caused unprecedented damage to livestock, agriculture, forests, and wildlife, while the destruction of infrastructure is incalculable. These floods resulted in total crop loss in most the cases and death of animal herds. The fluctuations in monsoon patterns due to erratic climate changes additionally alarm the future scenarios of peak pest infestations and heat stress. Some crops i.e., cotton (quantity and quality) were partially affected, and sugar cane, rice, and other types of seeds were most used as adaptation options. Inaccessibility, lack of awareness, expertise and baseline information of the natural resources-livelihood nexus, no organization has considered the damage caused to natural forests, wildlife, rangelands, and aquatic flora and fauna. The floods have directly devastated natural resources and the environment in several ways i.e., flushing out of forests, the carnage of wildlife and the destruction of native aquatic fauna. The post-flood scenarios are the spread of exotic flora and fauna, the spreading of epidemic diseases, and the destruction of habitats. Eventually, natural resources must bear the brunt of the damage caused by the flood in one form or another which ranges from extracting timber, firewood, and fodder to earning a livelihood from forest sales. The farming community of D.I. Khan have been gravely affected by the flood, altering cropping patterns, and ultimately impacting the market economy of agricultural-based economies shortly.

One of the nations where land transportation is frequently employed is Indonesia, particularly on motorbikes or two-wheeled vehicles. Since there is not much economic growth to maintain the high level of sales, there are many people without jobs, which leads to criminality, particularly motorcycle theft. The rate of motorbike theft in society is currently rising. The researchers developed a security system using a GPS Tracker whose control was handled by a two-channel relay in response to the rise in motorbike theft. The webcam camera produces the greatest images when it is hidden by a tree. 100% of the time, Relay Components work to control the horn and electricity. Due to the short read-time of the location the first time, GPS has a high accuracy. The Raspberry Pi3 can send, receive, and process commands to the motorcycle security system. The motion sensors, vibration sensors, raspberry pi microcontrollers, relays, and servo motors make up the system architecture in general. This method operates when the motor produces a lot of vibration. The sensor will relay the vibration to the Raspberry Pi microcontroller's output and the microcontroller will then deliver a warning notification message. In the event of a theft, the motorcycle will be immediately within the owner's control. In addition, with security using facedetection, the public can detect the perpetrators of theft and it takes quite a long time to work on it. The security system on motorbikes using facedetection takes a long time to produce, but it can't be done optimally. The purpose of this creation is to improve the security system on motorcycles to make it more efficient and effective in identifying the perpetrators of theft. This system consists of a Raspberry Pi3 as the control center, a picamera as a face detector, and a buzzer as an alarm.

The statistics of the amplitude, time and angle of arrival of multipaths in an indoor environment are all necessary components of multipath models used to simulate the performance of spatial diversity in receive antenna configurations. The model presented by Saleh and Valenzuela, was added to by Spencer et. al., and included all three of these parameters for a 7 GHz channel. A system was built to measure these multipath parameters at 2.4 GHz for multiple locations in an indoor environment. Another system was built to measure the angle of transmission for a 6 GHz channel. The addition of this parameter allows spatial diversity at the transmitter along with the receiver to be simulated. The process of going from raw measurement data to discrete arrivals and then to clustered arrivals is analyzed. Many possible errors associated with discrete arrival processing are discussed along with possible solutions. Four clustering methods are compared and their relative strengths and weaknesses are pointed out. The effects that errors in the clustering process have on parameter estimation and model performance are also simulated.

As Americans became increasingly dissatisfied with reservations, they called for the allotment of Native lands. The process ended communal landholding and designated 160-acre plots for individuals. “Surplus” lands became eligible for sale to American settlers. Kiowas and other Native people responded with alarm. Allotment not only violated treaties, it also undermined their way of living in relation to the land and each other. As Americans clamored for allotment, the federal government also cracked down on Native cultural practices, including rites for seeking sacred power. Kiowas faced pressures to end communal dances, peyote rites, and healing practices. In this climate, Kiowas sought out new possible power sources, including the Christian God preached by missionaries. They also joined Native peoples across the West in a movement that came to be known as the Ghost Dance, envisioning a future in which their lands were restored and lost relatives and buffalo herds resurrected.

Library is a trinity of documents, patrons, and staff. The goal of library security systems is to offer a safe and secure environment to this trinity. There are both natural and man-made threats. Trained guards, locks, alarms, turnstiles, safes, security lighting, duress alarms, closed circuit televisions, and RFID are a few well-known security measures. RFID, the latest development, is being used in many libraries. Though some studies state RFID has health hazards, it has a lot of advantages making it popular. Modern library is also a storehouse of digital information and therefore digitized information, too, has to be secured. Information security programmes are also addressed in this chapter.

The retail market in Brazil has been undergoing a major technological transformation, with the emergence of new business models, such as autonomous markets. These establishments offer an innovative and convenient shopping experience for consumers, with the possibility of making purchases fully automatically, from access to the store to payment. Thus, the present study addresses as a question the respective problem: How does the systematization of an intelligent market work? Thus, this work aims to demonstrate the implementation and systematization of an intelligent market focused on convenience. For this, as a methodological support, a bibliographical research was carried out, with the analysis of scientific articles, books and sites specialized in the subject. From the analysis of the collected data, it was possible to identify the main components of an autonomous market, as well as the challenges and opportunities for its implementation in Brazil. Thus, we point out that the components of an autonomous market include: Technology (image identification systems, artificial intelligence, sensors and others); Infrastructure (cameras, sensors, alarms and others); Process (business rules, flow of purchases, among others). In this sense, the challenges for the implementation of autonomous markets in Brazil include: Need for technology investments, autonomous markets are dependent on advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and computer vision; Consumer confidence: consumers need to be confident that their data and purchases will be safe; Regulation of the sector: the sector of autonomous markets is still new in Brazil and there is no specific regulation for this type of business. Opportunities for autonomous markets in Brazil include: Operational cost reduction: autonomous markets do not need employees to serve customers, which can generate cost savings; Increased sales: autonomous markets can increase sales, because they offer a more convenient and flexible shopping experience; Improved customer experience: autonomous markets can offer a more personalized shopping experience and adapted to the needs of consumers. Finally, this study contributes to the knowledge about autonomous markets, presenting an overview on the subject and discussing the main challenges and opportunities for its implementation in Brazil.

In today’s education, occupational (economic) life is the focus of our attention. We want every child to succeed, and this has come to mean that every child should be pre­pared for college and the sort of work that requires a col­lege education. What of all the children who will become bus and truck drivers, retail sales clerks, appliance repair people, construction workers, materials handlers, heavy equipment operators, railway engineers and conductors, house painters, plumbers, bakers, farm workers, beauti­cians, postal workers, cooks, waiters, hotel clerks, house and office cleaners, auto mechanics and sales people, dog and horse groomers, telephone/ electric line work­ers, prison guards, hospital attendants, grounds keepers, maintenance workers, managers of laundromats and dry cleaning shops, installers of burglar alarms, carpet layers, window washers, steel workers, fishermen, sailors, cater­ers, cashiers, chimney sweeps, roofers, makers of china and glassware, decorators, musicians, florists, entertainers, moving men . . . and what would happen to our society if no one were willing to do this work? Do these people represent failures of schooling, or do we fail them when we lead them to believe that only economic success is suc­cess? Teachers and parents can lose perspective when achievement is narrowly defined. What messages are we sending students when grades, test scores, and academic achievement are the criteria for “success” during their twelve plus years of schooling? Many students who struggle in school thrive in their families, communities, and jobs once they leave school. For some, leav­ing school may be the first time they experience real success and a sense of personal, task- related satisfaction. As we teach them and before they leave us, have we given these “non- achieving” students hope that they will have the tenacity to excel? Confidence that they will find their path? Courage to trust their ability to figure it out? Many students struggle with undiagnosed anomalies that limit their capacity to learn school subjects. Chapter 6 takes a closer look at the relationship between crime, gender, and the home through analysing the security devices that began populating middle-class houses from the mid-nineteenth century. Designed to be impenetrable and invisible to the wandering eye of the thief, locks and safes were increasingly decorated with particular rooms in mind, especially feminized, sexualized spaces such as the boudoir and the bedroom. The chapter analyses how this reflected the heightened publicity accorded burglaries of women’s jewellery, possessions which held their own gendered, emotional significance as tokens of love and familial bonds. Crime prevention began to reshape domestic space in this era, whether via locks and safe doors hidden beneath gloriously elaborate carvings and intricate metalwork or taking the form of burglar alarms with sensors fitted snugly between carpets, walls, and window-ledges, trailing pressure-points like a net around the home’s perimeter. While existing scholarship on the history of domestic space has thus far treated decoration and security separately, this chapter considers how the design and placement of anti-burglar devices crafted an interplay between boundaries and furnishings that maintained the facade of carefree residential harmony.

Abstract Facility optimization and control using continuous measurement of oil vapor pressure allows the oil and gas producer to reduce facility flaring and emissions while increasing oil production. By preventing over processing of oil, through vapor pressure process control of the facilty oil heaters, the producer sells more stabilized oil in the liquid phase instead of compressing or flaring in the vapor phase. The novel vapor pressure monitoring and emission control system is installed on new or existing facilities and utilizes existing pressure and temperature instrumentation with added supplemental wireless instrumentation as necessary. The pressure and temperature process data arer outed to a proprietary process simulation algorithm which continuously calculates the oil vapor pressure and compares the result to the operator's allowable facility output oil vapor pressure. The system additionally provides the required facility output oil temperature and sends a process control signal to the facility conditioning equipment, such as heater treaters or oil coolers, and maintains a consistent, full-time traceable facility output oil vapor pressure. The benefits of this oil vapor pressure control system include higher profitability and return on investment from higher oil sales volume, substantial reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, substantial reduction in tank venting and facility flaring, elimination of capital cost for vapor recovery towers, reduction in capital cost and operating cost for vapor recovery compression, reduction in fuel gas cost from heater treater burner optimization and control, and vapor pressure alarms provide immediate notification of operational upsets. A six-month North Dakota Bakken case study is presented showing field data and performance across summer and winter operation at a 5,000 - 6,000 barrel of oil per day facility. The oil vapor pressure monitoring and control system provided a 55% reduction in low pressure flaring, increased the oil sales volume approximately 1%, and avoided 2,240 metric tons of green house gas emissions over a 6-month period.

Sleepiness has been considered as one of the major contributors to driver error that causes many automobile accidents. Among various technologies developed to address this issue, the electrooculography (EOG) signal is considered most suitable for sleepiness detection. It is simple, and resilient to environmental factors such as light intensity and driver movement. Most importantly, the physiological signal changes in an early stage and can be used to detect the on-set of human sleepiness. In this paper, we introduce the development of a wearable sleepiness detection system based on analyzing EOG signal dynamics. The system includes wearable sensors, amplifying and transmitting circuits, and a smart phone that could alarm the driver if sleepiness is detected. In this system, the EOG signal is considered as a neurophysiological response of the oculomotor system. Blink signatures are extracted from the EOG signal. It was found that the poles of a linearized blinking motion associated with an alert state are different from those associated with a sleepy state. Based on this understanding, an algorithm to detect the driver’s sleepiness was developed. A proof of concept device design has been completed. This system will help a driver to correct the behavior, and ultimately saves lives.

El Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (MNCN-CSIC), consciente del papel creciente del entorno digital en los museos, especialmente tras la crisis por COVID-19, incluyó una sección de recursos digitales en su página web antes de la declaración del estado de alarma, periodo en el que estos recursos se potenciaron y ampliaron mediante la creación de actividades didácticas online, difusión de exposiciones y visitas virtuales realizadas anteriormente junto a Google Arts & Culture y otras nuevas como 'Naturaleza artificial', con fotos de seguidores de Instagram, vídeos divulgativos, juegos digitales y juegos online. En cuanto a las redes sociales, el objetivo fue acercar las colecciones, la investigación y las exposiciones a los usuarios. Durante la segunda quincena de marzo de 2020, y al inicio del estado de alarma y confinamiento, se notó un incremento en el interés de las publicaciones en RRSS respecto a las realizadas antes de la Pandemia. Entre marzo y junio de 2020 se comprobó que la comunidad de seguidores en redes sociales del MNCN interactuaron notablemente y comentaron más los contenidos propuestos. Además, del 14 al 28 de mayo la página web del MNCN recibió 284.848 visitas. Un total de 98.303 usuarios consultaron el contenido online del Museo. De este total de usuarios, el 11,93% fueron recurrentes frente a un 88,07% que fueron nuevos usuarios. El confinamiento también supuso una oportunidad para evaluar la recepción y la efectividad de los recursos digitales iniciados y recabar información relevante que permitiera adelantarse a las inquietudes e intereses del público, a través de un cuestionario online realizado en mayo de 2020, durante la fase 1 de la desescalada y justo antes de la reapertura de equipamientos culturales y museos. Los resultados mostraron que estos contenidos fueron muy valorados por los encuestados, que consideraron que habían ayudado a soportar el cierre del Museo y que, deberían mantenerse más allá del confinamiento. El estudio mostró que los visitantes realizaron un seguimiento de estos recursos de forma proactiva, ya que casi la mitad de los encuestados afirmó seguir la información digital publicada por el MNCN. Los visitantes más habituales, aquellos que habían realizado varias visitas presenciales en los últimos 2 años, fueron los que más información recordaron haber visto y buscado. También se evaluó la predisposición a volver a las salas del Museo, la disponibilidad para seguir actividades de streaming en el futuro previo pago y otros sistemas de financiación de contenidos on line.

Abstract This paper aims to highlight and share some insight on how a modular crude oil refinery operating at 5000bopd capacity delivered refined products with zero LTI. The intention is to pass knowledge to upcoming modular refineries as projections from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources indicate that many more will spring up within the next few years. The refinery came live in November 2020 and was tasked with ensuring optimum production in a safe working environment. Since then, it has gone on to safely refine over one million barrels of crude oil In the Oil and Gas industry, safety is a crucial determinant of the overall success of a facility’s operations. Refineries have even greater responsibilities, given that there is the presence of highly volatile and flammable hydrocarbons within the facility, and personnel having consistent interactions with these liquids pose a huge danger. Achieving zero LTI implies that in the period under review, no incidents occurred that prevented the continuity of the core activities of the workplace, no productive work time was lost due to injuries to an employee and as such, is a key indicator in measuring safety performance, hence its adoption The steps taken to minimize and eliminate risks peculiar to the refinery were discussed, with these taking the form of engineering controls, policies and procedures. It is interesting to note that in the operation of a refinery, the areas that are most vulnerable to accidents are outside the core process areas. The array of process control systems, alarms, and fail-safes keep the system within operational limits. The systems involved in the storage and offloading of hydrocarbon products, however, handle more volumes of hydrocarbon, with higher frequency and is prone to human error. This work is a summarised document that contains proactive safety-inclined solutions and lessons learned along the way, hopefully translating into increased productivity and safety within the downstream space.

A experiência ocorreu no Corpo de Bombeiros Militar do Estado do Ceará (CEPI), no Comando de Engenharia de Prevenção de Incêndios (CEPI). O curso foi ministrado em um âmbito de pesquisa e extensão, tendo como um dos objetivos principais disseminar o BIM no setor público do CBM-CE conforme pretende o decreto federal 10.306/2020. O curso foi ministrado entre os dias 02 e 11 de fevereiro de 2022, no quartel do CEPI, foram ministradas aulas acerca da metodologia BIM, do software Revit. Treze analistas do CBM-CE participaram do curso com carga horária de 20 horas. O nível do curso era de caráter de formação complementar. A área envolvia as instalações de combate a incêndio, contando com a participação de bombeiros militares formados no Curso de Formação de Oficiais (CFO) com curso de análise de projetos. Na instituição, os profissionais que podem atuar são engenheiros civis, arquitetos e outras engenharias com especialização em engenharia de segurança. A disciplina abordada foi arquitetura com ênfase na questão de rotas de fuga (escadas, rampas, corredores) e instalações de proteção contra incêndio hidráulicas (hidrantes, sprinklers, conjunto de bombas) e elétricas (alarme, iluminação). Além disso, alguns dispositivos da categoria “dispositivos de alarme de incêndio” como extintores e sinalização de emergência. Como a maioria dos analistas não tem formação superior na área técnica, o curso foi iniciado com uma introdução aos conceitos do BIM. Posteriormente, todos os analistas realizaram a modelagem da arquitetura de uma edificação industrial. A finalização do treinamento propôs a elaboração do projeto de combate a incêndio. Durante o curso, os alunos aprenderam as funções de modelagem, dimensionamento e documentação através de um projeto de uma indústria de médio risco, um dos tipos de edificação mais analisados conforme análise documental realizada com a base de dados do Sistema da Coordenadoria de Atividades Técnicas (SCAT). O projeto contém térreo com cozinhas profissionais, refeitório, banheiros e vestiários. No pavimento 1 existem salas de reunião e banheiros. Após a finalização da modelagem arquitetônica, importante para a definição das medidas de saída de emergência da edificação, os analistas realizaram a elaboração do projeto de combate a incêndio. Eles projetaram um PCI da maneira como eles acreditavam ser mais didático e prático de ser analisado. Foram modeladas as medidas de segurança de alarme e detecção de incêndio, hidrantes, sprinklers, extintores, sinalização, iluminação e central de gás. É relevante citar que durante o curso, devido as várias atribuições dos militares, alguns deles eram interrompidos para resolver diversas demandas de suas funções. Isto prejudicou o andamento e a fluidez do aprendizado de alguns alunos, mas não impediu o cumprimento do objetivo final: capacitar e atualizar os analistas acerca da nova metodologia BIM da construção civil conforme propõe o decreto federal 10.306/2020. Este decreto propõe uma Estratégia Nacional de Disseminação do Building Information Modelling, que proporcione a implantação da Estratégia BIM BR cujos principais objetivos são: difundir o BIM e os seus benefícios, criar condições favoráveis para o investimento, público e privado em BIM, e estimular a capacitação em BIM. A fase do ciclo abordada foi a de concepção e análise de projetos. A abordagem foi completamente prática. Cada um do setor fez o download do software em seu dispositivo e o treinamento foi ministrado no quartel. A carga horária foi de 20 horas distribuídas em 2 semanas. O software utilizado foi o Revit MEP. Buscou-se trazer o nível de competência de implantação (Implementation Set) uma vez que houve a preocupação em tentar introduzir o BIM na realidade da corporação. Como parte de uma pesquisa de dissertação maior, que caracterizou e desenvolveu um artefato, o treinamento fez parte da avaliação do artefato e exposição das possibilidades para a corporação. Acredita-se que houve o desenvolvimento de I02, I03, I04 e I05. A metodologia de ensino utilizada foi uma metodologia ativa com aprendizagem baseada em projeto. Após o curso, ocorreram entrevistas de avaliação foram divididas em três etapas: satisfação com o treinamento e objetivo proposto, avaliação do uso do BIM quanto a Satisfação, Aplicabilidade, Praticidade, Usabilidade, Utilidade, Qualidade, Limitações e Eficácia e, por fim, Melhorias e Sugestões para a ferramenta proposta. Os oficiais acreditam que o treinamento abriu as oportunidades para o setor de análise mas que a carga horária deveria ser ampliada para abordagens mais avançadas. Vale comentar que a carga horária foi proposta segundo a disponibilidade dos comandantes do quartel, que liberaram o espaço e as manhãs de serviço dos tenentes e capitães para assistirem as aulas. Mesmo que este tempo dedicado ao curso, muitos ainda eram interrompidos durante as aulas para resolverem problemas inerentes ao trabalho. Por fim, foram solicitados acerca de sugestões de melhorias para a abordagem educativa do curso. As respostas se resumiram a dois assuntos: o aumento da carga horária ministrada e uma melhor estrutura de sala de aula e de computadores. No geral, conseguiram reconhecer o potencial de melhoria na qualidade dos projetos e das análises ao adotar a ferramenta proposta e pretendem disponibilizar um template padrão para uso pelos projetistas e submissão das análises. Alguns analistas acreditam que o mercado terá resistência em aceitar a ferramenta proposta, mas que isso é um obstáculo a ser ultrapassado.
