We describe a new genus to accommodate the species originally described as Rivulus stellifer Thomerson & Turner, 1973, but currently referred to the genus Rachovia Myers, 1927. Rachovia stellifer has had a complicated taxonomic history and has, at various times since its description, been placed in and out of three genera: Rivulus Poey, 1860, Pituna Costa, 1989 and Rachovia. However, phylogenetic analyses using 3537 mitochondrial and nuclear characters, and 93 morphological characters indicate it is not a member of any of these genera, but place it as a deeply divergent sister species to the genus Gnatholebias Costa, 1998. In addition to molecular characters, it is distinguished from the genera Rachovia and Gnatholebias by 13 and 33 morphological character states, respectively.

Avena laevigata Schur (1860: 72) belongs to the taxonomically difficult group of perennial oats whose phylogenetic relationships, systematics, and nomenclature have been reconsidered many times (Holub 1958, 1962, Gervais 1973, Röser 1989, Lange 1995, Conti et al. 2005, Röser et al. 2009, Romero-Zarco 2011). It is affiliated with the generic name Avenula (Dumortier 1824: 122) Dumortier (1868: 68), a taxon accepted in the worldwide phylogenetic classification of the Poaceae (Soreng et al. 2015) and is the basionym of the accepted subspecies name Avenula pubescens (Hudson 1762: 42) Dumortier (1868: 68) subsp. laevigata (Schur) Holub (1976: 295) (Euro+Med 2006 onwards) distributed in the western and southern Alps as well as the southern and eastern Carpathians (Dixon 1991). The nomenclatural type of Avena laevigata (and so that of Avenula pubescens subsp. laevigata) is unknown, hence typification of this name is necessary (McNeill et al. 2012).

This viewpoint aims to analyse the Criminal Law Amendment Act 2013 from a legal perspective. In doing so, it discusses the statutory safeguards of rights to a dignified life of a woman by analysing the various existing laws, which have been significantly amended to build the Criminal Act, 2013. These laws are: Indian Penal Code (IPC) 1860; Indian Evidence Act 1872, Code of Criminal Procedure as amended in 1973, Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act 1956, Information Technology Act 2000, The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2000, The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005, The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013. In the conclusion, I urge that although efficient laws are in operation in India towards protecting the right to live with dignity of women, however, incidents of violence against women are on the rise. Hence, a concerted effort in bringing appropriate attitudinal change is the task ahead for all Indians.

Three cycles of successful commercial hydrocarbon exploration and discovery have occurred in Australia since 1960, although sporadic efforts to locate oil accumulations have occurred since 1860. The first cycle of successful exploration, from 1960 to 1972, revealed most of the productive basins and all of the giant oil fields found to date. After an interval of very low drilling rates between 1973 and 1978, exploration activity returned to strong levels for a second cycle of discovery between 1978 and 1988. A third cycle commenced in 1989 when there was an increase in exploration activity and the number of hydrocarbon discoveries again, after a low point in the mid 1980s.The discovery of oil and gas fields is dependent on the rate of exploration activity, geological endowment, exploration efficiency and chance. Technology and geological knowledge influence exploration efficiency. The main driver of exploration activity is the profit motive, which is modified by government policies, oil price, markets, and perceived prospectivity. Discovery itself is a powerful stimulus to further exploration. Through the last 40 years these factors have varied in their impact on exploration and the resulting petroleum discoveries.

In sum, the adoption of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bhatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam signifies a transformative milestone in post-independence India's legal evolution. By embracing indigenous wisdom, democratic values, and global insights, these legislations aspire to catalyze a more equitable, efficient, and accountable legal system, poised to meet the complex challenges of the 21st century. As forensic medicine continues to play an increasingly pivotal role in the Indian justice system, practitioners must remain abreast of these legal developments and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in their work. The Indian legal system enacted in colonial era such as the Indian Penal Code of 1860, the Criminal Procedure Code of 1973, and the Indian Evidence Act of 1872 have long been under scrutiny for its relevance and adaptability to contemporary societal needs. In a historic move, the Indian Government has passed a comprehensive framework, replacing these older laws with the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bhatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) effective from 1 July 2024, following Presidential approval on 25 December 2023. The Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita seeks to revolutionize criminal laws by introducing modern principles of justice, equity, and efficiency. Complementing the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita addresses the evolving challenges of national security and public safety. Furthermore, the Bhatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam introduces groundbreaking reforms in the law of evidence, reflecting a paradigm shift towards transparency, objectivity, and inclusivity.

As espécies de roedores amostradas foram Akodon gr. cursor, Calomys tener (Winge, 1887), Nectomys rattus (Pelzen, 1883), N. squamipes (Brants, 1827), Oecomys bicolor (Tomes, 1860), Oryzomys maracajuensis Langguth & Bonvicino, 2002, Oryzomys cf. marinhus, O. megacephalus (Fischer, 1814), Oligoryzomys fornesi (Massoia, 1973), Oligoryzomys sp., Proechimys longicaudatus (Rengger, 1830) e P. roberti (Thomas, 1901).

Abstract Background: While currently-diagnosable hematological cancer is a potent VTE risk factor (RR range =12–32), whether undiagnosable hematological cancer is a risk factor is uncertain. Objective: To estimate the hazard of subsequent hematological cancer among incident VTE patients with no apparent active hematological cancer within ± 3 months of the VTE event. Methods: In a population-based cohort study, we followed Olmsted County, MN residents with incident VTE over the 27-year period, 1973–1999, and previously matched Olmsted County residents without VTE, who survived with no apparent active hematological cancer within ± 3 months of the VTE event or a routine medical visit date, respectively, forward in time through their complete medical records in the community for hematological cancer. Data were abstracted on baseline demographic and clinical characteristics, type and stage of hematological cancer, and any prior solid tumor treatments. For cases and controls, hematological cancer-free survival from the event date was estimated by the Kaplan Meier method, and the homogeneity of survival curves was examined by the log-rank test. Cox proportional hazards regression was used to adjust for covariates. Results: 1860 VTE cases (56% females) and 1890 controls (53% females) were followed for 16,497 and 15,320 person-years, respectively, conditional on surviving 3-months free of hematological cancer. 43 VTE cases and 24 controls developed hematological cancer at a median of 63.5 months (range 0.7 – 334 months). The median age for cases was 63.2 years compared to 67.8 years for the controls (p<0.001). Hematological cancer types included non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (n=19), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (n=11), acute myeloid leukemia (n=1), multiple myeloma (n=9), myeloproliferative disorders (n=10), and myelodysplastic syndromes (n=14). Case status was not univariately associated with subsequent hematologic cancer (HR=1.42; 95% CI: 0.85, 2.39; p=0.18). After adjusting for age, also associated with cancer, case status was significantly associated with hematological cancer (HR=1.90; 95% CI: 1.13, 3.20; p=0.015). Conclusions: Incident VTE patients have nearly a two-fold increased risk of subsequent hematological cancer. We hypothesize that VTE can be the initial manifestation of an occult hematological cancer clone.

The Martapura River Bridge is located on Jalan A. Yani KM 40 Martapura, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. Traffic processes that occur on Jalan A. Yani KM 40 Martapura often experience problems because congestion often occurs and the condition of the old IA bridge sometimes makes driving users feel restless when crossing the bridge located on the Martapura river. So that at the location of the Martapura river, it is deemed necessary to build a bridge next to the IA bridge so that the IB bridge to be built can be more sturdy and durable so that there is no anxiety for driving users and also to reduce congestion that occurs, where later the IB bridge will be used as a road with one way only towards Banjarmasin and the martapura IA bridge will be used as a one-way road towards the Hulu Sungai so that it will make it easier for traffic on Jalan A. Yani KM 40 Martapura. The methodology used in loading planning refers to SNI 1725-2016 concerning Loading Standards for Bridges. For the methodology in calculating the stress loss, refer to the NAASRA Bridge Design Specification on Chapter VI Bridge Design Specifications (Prestressed Concrete Design). For the methodology in calculating the moment of the vehicle floor using the Three Moment Equation method and for the method of subsidence of group pile foundations using the method of Schultze and Sheriff (1973), assuming that the pile group is the Equivalent Raft Foundation. The material used in the design of the upper structure is prestressed concrete, while the lower structure is planned to use reinforced concrete with a square pile. The results obtained are the T-Girder Prestressed type bridge with class A, 34 m span, 7 m traffic width, and 1 m wide sidewalk. Prestressed T-Girder is designed using fc' 40 MPa (K-482) Strands used are uncoated 7 wire super strands ASTM A-416 grade 270 with a diameter of 12.7 mm and an area of 100 mm2 with a tensile strength of 1860 MPa. As for the lower structure, the abutment uses concrete with a quality of fc' 25 MPa (K-300) with a height of 565 cm, a width of 480 cm and a length of 1050 cm.type piles Square Pile with a length of 15 m with a quality of 50 MPa (K-600) with a width of 60x60 cm with a configuration of 18 piles for each abutment. Estimated Budget Plan The cost of constructing the Martapura river bridge is IDR 8,129.511,475.00.-.

Palabras clave: historia cuantitativa, Oeste americano, migraciones, diarios de viaje, Overland TrailTopónimo: Estados UnidosPeríodo: siglo xix ABSTRACT Among the many documentary sources historians have at their disposal when dealing with studies, the personal diary is perhaps one of the most interesting ones. This type of material not only allows us to know a little better the thoughts and emotions of their own authors but also certain aspects of the historical moment in which they were conceived, therefore its content is fundamental when it comes to understand a migration phenomenon as unique as the one that took place in the American West during the second half of the nineteenth century.Based on the proposals of Ralph K. White and John Mack Faragher, this article presents a readaptation of ‘Value analysis’ proposing a selection of 65 values and 7 thematic groups which have been used to determine the main interests and concerns of the American pioneers revising for this purpose fourteen diaries of that time. Background. А history of the development of the human community is at the same time a history of the relationship between men and women, their role in society, in formation of mindset, development of science, technology and art. A woman’s path to the recognition of her merits is a struggle for equality and inclusion in all sectors of public life. Originated with particular urgency in the twentieth century, this set of problems gave impetus to the study of the female phenomenon in the sociocultural space. In this context, the disclosure of the direct contribution of talented women to art and their influence on its development has become of special relevance. The purpose of the article is to summarize segmental of information that highlights the contribution of women to the treasury of world art, their creative and inspiring power. Analytical, historical-biographical and comparative studying methods were applied to reveal the gender relationships in art and the role of woman in them as well as in the sociocultural space in general. The results from this study present a panorama of gifted women from the world of art and music who paved the way for future generations. Among them are: A. Gentileschi (1593–1653), who was the first woman admitted to The Florence Academy of Art; M. Vigee Le Brun (1755–1842), who painted portraits of the French aristocracy and later became a confidant of Marie-Antoinette; B. Morisot (1841–1895), who was accepted by the impressionists in their circle and repeatedly exhibited her works in the Paris Salon; F. Caccini (1587–1640), who went down in history as an Italian composer, teacher, harpsichordist, author of ballets and music for court theater performances; J. Kinkel (1810–1858) – the first female choral director in Germany, who published books about musical education, composed songs on poems of famous poets, as well as on her own texts; F. Mendelssohn (1805–1847) – German singer, pianist and composer, author of cantatas, vocal miniatures of organ preludes, piano pieces; R. Clark (1886–1979) – British viola player and composer who created trio, quartets, compositions for solo instruments, songs on poems of English poets; L. Boulanger (1893–1918) became the first woman to receive Grand Prix de Rome; R. Tsekhlin (1926–2007) – German harpsichordist, composer and teacher who successfully combined the composition of symphonies, concerts, choral and vocal opuses, operas, ballets, music for theatrical productions and cinema with active performing and teaching activities, and many others. The article emphasise the contribution of women-composers, writers, poetesses to the treasury of world literature and art. Among the composers in this row is S. Gubaidulina (1931), who has about 30 prizes and awards. She wrote music for 17 films and her works are being performed by famous musicians around the world. The glory of Ukrainian music is L. Dychko (1939) – the author of operas, oratorios, cantatas, symphonies, choral concertos, ballets, piano works, romances, film music. The broad famous are the French writers: S.-G. Colette (1873–1954), to which the films were devoted, the performances based on her novels are going all over the world, her lyrics are being studied in the literature departments. She was the President of the Goncourt Academy, Chevalier of the Legion of Honour, a square in the center of Paris is named after her. Also, creativity by her compatriot, L. de Vilmorin (1902–1969), on whose poems С. Arrieu, G. Auric, F. Poulenc wrote vocal miniatures, is beloved and recognized as in France as and widely abroad. The article denotes a circle of women who combined the position of a selfsufficient creator and a muse for their companion. M. Verevkina (1860–1938) – a Russian artist, a representative of expressionism in painting, not only helped shape the aesthetic views of her husband A. Yavlensky, contributing to his art education, but for a long time “left the stage” for to not compete with him and help him develop his talent fully. Furthermore, she managed to anticipate many of the discoveries as for the use of light that are associated with the names of H. Matisse, A. Derain and other French fauvist. F. Kahlo (1907–1954), a Mexican artist, was a strict critic and supporter for her husband D. Rivera, led his business, was frequently depicted in his frescoes. C. Schumann (1819–1896) was a committed promoter of R. Schumann’s creativity. She performed his music even when he was not yet recognized by public. She included his compositions in the repertoire of her students after the composer lost his ability to play due to the illness of the hands. She herself performed his works, making R. Schumann famous across Europe. In addition, Clara took care of the welfare of the family – the main source of finance was income from her concerts. The article indicates the growing interest of the twentieth century composers to the poems of female poets. Among them M. Debord-Valmore (1786–1859) – a French poetess, about whom S. Zweig, P. Verlaine and L. Aragon wrote their essays, and her poems were set to music by C. Franck, G. Bizet and R. Ahn; R. Auslender (1901–1988) is a German poetess, a native of Ukraine (Chernovtsy city), author of more than 20 collections, her lyrics were used by an American woman-composer E. Alexander to write “Three Songs” and by German composer G. Grosse-Schware who wrote four pieces for the choir; I. Bachmann (1926–1973) – the winner of three major Austrian awards, author of the libretto for the ballet “Idiot” and opera “The Prince of Hombur”. The composer H. W. Henze, in turn, created music for the play “Cicadas” by I. Bachmann. On this basis, we conclude that women not only successfully engaged in painting, wrote poems and novels, composed music, opened «locked doors», destroyed established stereotypes but were a powerful source of inspiration. Combining the roles of the creator and muse, they helped men reach the greatest heights. Toward the twentieth century, the role of the fair sex representatives in the world of art increased and strengthened significantly, which led Western European culture to a new round of its evolution.

Foram coletadas e inventariadas até o momento seis espécies: Bunodosoma cangicum Corrêa,1964 in Belém & Preslercravo, 1973, Anthopleura cascaia Corrêa,1964 in Dube, 1981, Anthopleura krebsi Duch.
Л. P. 1840-1860 DOI: 10.1002/hyp.9283 The object of the study is the Norilka River, located in the North of the Krasnoyarsk territory. Only 45 of the norm of precipitation fell in the basin of the Norilka River for the period from October 2012 to May 2013, that resulting in an extremely low spring flood formation. The feeding of the large lakes that form the river flow was also limited, as dry weather set in during the summer. This caused great concern regarding the water availability of water intakes of mining and processing plant in the city of Norilsk for the winter of 2014. The situation required the solution of a complex of hydrological tasks, the main of which is the development of a forecast of minimum water consumption for the winter of 2014. The forecast was developed using relationship between area pre-winter moistening with intensity of the winter runoff depletion. Since the capacity of the ice cover can significantly affect to decrease of the river flow, the hydrological forecast takes into account the long-term air temperatures forecast for 2013-2014 winter period. It was obtained the forecast that the minimum monthly discharge for April would be at about 22 m3/s, meanwhile daily discharge 20 m3/s. The received results were a basis for carrying out the measures directed on maintenance of steady water supply with need discharge in 7 m3/s. The low ground dam below water intakes was arranged at backwater on a site of water intakes for August-September 2013. The actual flow discharge for April 2014 was about 14m3/s. Therefore, the construction of the dam was justified and interruptions of water supply of the plant did not happen. The methodological approaches applied to the solution of this problem can be useful in case of similar situations in the Northern regions of Russia. References Anisimov O.A., Zhil'tsova E.L.
