Streszczenie:
An epidemic caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 has been existed in Europe and worldwide for several weeks now. On 11 March 2020, the WHO declared it a global pandemic. At the time of writing, Europe, in particular Italy, is the largest outbreak of coronavirus. Italy is attempting to tackle the virus with increasingly drastic legal measures. On 31 January 2020, its Council of Ministers declared a state of emergency related to the sanitary risk of coronavirus infection. Italy has started the fight against the virus using two legal instruments: the first is the Council of Ministers’ declaration of a six-month state of emergency on 31 January 2020, and the second is a decree-law (decreto legge) issued by the Prime Minister temporarily restricting the freedom of movement throughout the state. In exceptional cases, the Italian Government has the right to issue normative legal acts. Recent legislative acts issued in Italy have undoubtedly limited the fundamental rights granted by the Constitution of 1947. These limited rights include the right of movement, but also freedom of assembly, the right to work, freedom of economic activity and freedom of conscience and religion. As a result of the legal solutions introduced, fundamental human rights are subject to justifiable restrictions in order to protect the constitutionally guaranteed right of the community to health care. In situations of epidemiological threats, protecting the lives and health of citizens is essential. Any restrictions on rights and freedoms are intended to protect these goods. However extensive these restrictions may be, in a democratic state this must be introduced under strict control and for a specified period of time linked to the duration of an epidemic.

Streszczenie:
The vibrational communication and mating behaviour of the graminicolous leafhoppers Zyginidia pullula, Z. ribauti, Z. scutellaris, Z. serpentina, Z. sohrab, and Z. biroi were investigated to explain why the first five species hybridize. Z. biroi was used as a control species. All species behaved in the same way and no significant statistical differences were detected with regard to male calls, while female calls and the male courtship song differed in Z. biroi, thus showing that a specific pre-mating isolation mechanism was used by the latter species and the first five ones lacked such a mechanism. In addition, Z. sohrab is missing in Italy, while the other species live allopatrically in Italy, with the only exceptions being Z. serpentina and Z. biroi, which live in Sicily and are often found in sympatry, and Z. scutellaris and Z. biroi, which live in Sardinia. All these species can be distinguished by means of male genital appendages; however, Z. biroi is longer and has a different body colour. The existence of natural hybrids of Z. pullula, Z. ribauti, and Z. scutellaris in the Italian peninsula and their hybridization in the laboratory with Z. serpentina and Z. sohrab require the investigation of possible post-mating reproductive barriers before re-considering their systematic validity.

Thatis why this paper has been devoted to those accounts which so far have not been particularlypopular with literary historians, but are still worth mentioning: Z Wenecyi do Neapolu.Wrażenia z podróży by Władysław Bełza and Za Apeninami, Na lagunach, Obrazy i obrazkiWenecyi by Stanisław Bełza. The paper consists of two parts: the first one presents Veniceas seen by the above mentioned authors, while the second one, entitled Z Polski do ziemiwłoskiej, z ziemi włoskiej do Polski follows the Polish traces on foreign land. Voyages of theBełza brothers, just like romantic voyages had two routes: the first one led through theEuropean cultural heritage, while the other one followed the track of national memorabilia. Keywords: cultural heritage, travel, memories, patriotism

Species richness is a fundamental property of biodiversity patterns and is properly expressed by the species–area relationship (SAR), namely the increase in the number of species with the area. Here, we studied and explored the species–area relationship with respect to vascular plant species in Italy and compared vascular plant richness among Italian administrative regions. Concerning the entire vascular flora (native and alien), the best-performing formula is the Arrhenius’ Power function: S = c Az. The constants of this function are c = 241.2 and z = 0.281. The best-performing formula concerning just native (c = 245.2 and z = 0.263) and alien (c = 10.1 and z = 0.404) richness is the Power function as well. The floristically richest Italian regions considering the entire flora are Liguria, Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Trentino-Alto Adige, which are also the regions that are richest in alien flora unfortunately. Regions of particular naturalistic interest are Abruzzo, Valle d’Aosta, and Molise, because only these three regions exhibit native floristic richness that is higher than expected, and this is coupled with an alien floristic richness that is lower than expected. On the contrary, four regions (Lombardia, Veneto, Toscana, and Emilia-Romagna) show potentially severe conservation problems due to biological invasions since they experience native floristic richness that is lower than expected, with an alien floristic richness that is higher than expected. This study offers for the first time the ‘c’ and ‘z’ constants specifically calibrated at the national level for Italian vascular flora. The availability of such constants allows the calculation of the number of expected species for a given area to be investigated, providing a robust starting hypothesis for floristic studies.

Streszczenie:
This thesis explores the impact of securities transaction tax (STT) on stock market quality. In order to identify the effects of STT on trading activity and market quality two recent STT introductions in France and Italy are analyzed. The effects are observed on panel data in four periods utilizing several trading activity and market quality measures. Following previous literature difference-in-differences approach is applied using various control groups including German and Spanish equities. The results point to significant decrease in trading activity and increase in bid-ask spreads in France following STT imposition. The impact on volatility is statistically insignificant across different specifications and estimation periods. The results for Italy are inconclusive due to possible contamination by political events, but the evidence indicates decrease in trading activity following STT introduction.

The thesis deals with immigration policies of EU member states, specifically Germany, Sweden and Italy, after year 2000. Using the method of comparative case study its goal is to identify factors that affect immigration policy of a state based on comparison of immigration policies of three examined countries. Another objective is to find out, what determines the success of a particular immigration policy. In this context, the work tries to verify the following two hypotheses: (1) The Europeanization of immigration policy leads to national policies getting more similar to each other, yet still differences persist that are caused by the particularities of each country. The way a state approaches the issue of immigration is to a substantial degree influenced by non-material factors, especially its understanding of the definition of its own national identity and citizenship. and (2) Success of an immigration policy largely depends on whether its objectives take into account the limits of liberal democracy and liberal state in general. Nowadays the nation-state is not able to control all the movement on its territory and thus significantly affect such a global phenomenon as migration. Moreover, status of a liberal state implies certain commitments and expected behaviour, particularly in relation to...

The work fits in with the French humanists’ efforts to define their own identity in opposition to the cultural expansion of their neighbour. The eight novellas set in Italy and the narrators’ debates that follow reflect the functioning within the French elite of a fixed repertoire of simplistic stereotypes of Italian vices: cowardice, verbosity, greed, cruelty (including cannibalism) and sodomy. The article explores the possible historical origins of such commonly held judge- ments. It also recalls the climate theory, still current in the 16th century, attributing specific physical and psychological traits determined by geographical location to specific nations.

The paper presents the traditions of reflection on the functioning of States and Reasons of State, starting from the classics of Political Thought: Niccolò Machiavelli, Francesco Guicciardini and Giovanni Botero, through the creators of Italian Geopolitical Thought in the era of Risorgimento (Carlo Cattaeno, Giacomo Durando) to contemporary reflections on Geopolitics in Italy. Contemporary issues are shown against the background of the most important historical events: Italy of the fascist period and the World War II (1922–1945), as well as the „Cold War” (1945–1989) and the period of transformation in Central and Eastern Europe (1989–1991) and their impact for a new European Geopolitics. In conclusion, it was stated that Italian Geopolitics, having the possibility of referring to various traditions of Italian thought, dating back not only to the 20th century, concerning broadly understood international issues, History, Political Science and Geography, demonstrates the versatility of the undertaken research topics.

Streszczenie:
Approximately 1,700 beads made of “glassy materials” were discovered in the Świbie cemetery (Figs 13.1–13.4; Table 13.1), the vast majority made of “glassy faience” rather than “true glass”. This is the largest collection of Hallstatt period beads from the territory of present-day Poland. The objects in question were found in at least 40 graves (more than 7% of all graves). Some beads formed necklaces adorning the neck of the deceased. Thanks to anthropological analysis, we know that they mostly accompanied deceased of adult age, presumably more often women than men. The collection of artefacts studied totals 1,676 beads, of which 117 (7%) were made of “true glass”, while 1,559 (93%) were made of “glassy faience” (a material containing numerous inclusions, usually quartz grains; Fig. 13.5); 172 specimens made of the latter material are decorated (with zigzag lines or dots and/or circles; Fig. 13.6) with yellow glass. In total, the analysed objects can be classified into 16 formal groups or subgroups according to the classification in Purowski 2012; 2019 (single specimens did not fit the classification). Small (< 1 cm), undecorated beads, blue in colour, are by far most numerous (Fig. 13.8). Formal analogies to the specimens found in the Świbie cemetery come mainly from Italy and Croatia (Fig. 13.7). Thirty-six samples of “glassy material” (body and decorative glass) from 22 beads were examined archaeometrically (Figs 13.9 and 13.10; Tables 13.2–13.15). Analyses were performed using two methods: Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (LA-ICP-MS) (Fig. 13.11) and Electron Probe Micro-Analysis (EPMA) (Figs 13.15, 13.16, 13.18–13.20). Determining the contents of MgO and K2O – indicative of the type of the fluxing agent used – made it possible to distinguish two categories among the “true glasses” analysed: high magnesium glass (HMG) and low magnesium glass (LMG) (Fig. 13.13). Low magnesium and medium potassium glass (LMMK) and low magnesium glass of glassy faience (LMGGF) were identified among the “glassy faience” samples (Fig. 13.14). The glasses forming “glassy faience” (LMMK, LMGGF) and “true glass” (HMG, LMG) differ in both the contents of the main and trace components (Figs 13.21 and 13.22). Different raw materials were used to produce them, and they were added in unequal proportions. LMMK glasses were produced using sand and a difficult-to-identify flux, while LMGGF and LMG glasses were made using sand and mineral soda. HMG was manufactured using a pure source of silica (quartz stones or sand) and halophyte plant ash. “Glassy faience” is typically blue in colour; it was coloured with cobalt compounds. Light green glasses owe their colour primarily to copper compounds, while opaque yellow glasses were coloured with lead and antimony. “True glass” was produced in the Eastern Mediterranean, while “glassy faience” was made in European workshops (most probably Italian and “Slovenian-Croatian”). Artefacts made of “glassy faience” and dated to HaC–HaD1 are found in present-day Poland in a limited area encompassing Greater Poland, Silesia, and the adjacent part of western Lesser Poland. They were probably produced in Italy and the Balkans (Slovenia/Croatia), and then brought along what is known as the Amber Route, through the Alpine passes along the Danube and Morava Rivers to the Moravian Gate and further north. It was probably along the same route that beads made of “true glass”, less common in HaC–D1, found their way to south-western Poland. The material from which they were formed (“true glass”), however, was produced in Eastern Mediterranean areas rather than Europe (as was “glassy faience”).

"Background. The undergraduate community is composed of Generation Z members who constitute a social generation of digital natives who are technologically skilled. Their widespread exposure to technology accounts for their comfort with and strong knowledge of digital media. The government adoption of e-learning in academic education during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic may be beneficial to such digitally skilled individuals. Some studies have underscored the e-learning adoption adverse psychological impact on the mental health of the younger generation. In fact, the findings underscore an increase in psychological distress, excessive fear of infection, pervasive anxiety, frustration and boredom, a high level of stress, and post-traumatic stress symptoms. We aimed to detect the protective factor for academic community during social restriction for pandemic in 2nd Italian lockdown analysing the adaptive behaviour of undergraduate in 3 field panels of academic education (life sciences, physical and engineer sciences, human and social sciences). We aimed to determine the psychological impact of prolonged e-learning on emotional regulation among undergraduate students. A secondary objective was to identify key components for preventive interventions targeted toward the academic community by investigating the buffering effect of e-learning in academic education on exposure to the pandemic. Methods. An online cross-sectional survey was conducted on 570 university students (aged 18–26 years) pursing degrees in life sciences, physical and engineering sciences, and social sciences in Italy. They were recruited using snowball sampling. We administered emotional (PDEQ, CSSQ, CAS), personality traits (BFI-10) and affinity for e-learning (AEQ) measures. Results. Our findings suggest that a majority of the university students developed peritraumatic dissociative experience and stress, but not dysfunctional coronavirus anxiety during the 2nd COVID-19 lockdown in Italy. Nevertheless, the present findings also highlight the fragility of younger Gen Z undergraduate students who are beginning their academic journey amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Further, coronavirus distress significantly predicted mental health through the mediating effect of personality traits and e-learning affinity. Conclusions. Therefore, health care professionals are encouraged to implement psychological support interventions that strengthen one’s ability to manage stressful situations and reinforce their status as a digital native. Consequently, they may realize the power of their personal strengths, which in turn may mitigate their stress and peritraumatic dissociative experience when they deal with challenges, enhance their competence, and enable them to adopt effective coping strategies."

Abstract Hydrogen has been identified as an energy carrier that could play a major role in decarbonization. Large-scale hydrogen storage is required to face future challenges in terms of energy and environmental transition. Underground Hydrogen Storage (UHS) in depleted gas reservoirs is broadly recognized as a promising strategy to safely store large quantities of hydrogen, which can be injected into the porous rocks as a pure component (100% of H2) or as a mixture with methane. In order to properly design storage activity in a depleted gas reservoir, it is extremely important to define a reliable 3D reservoir dynamic model able to simulate the behavior of the system under all the possible considered operating conditions. To properly represent the interaction between injected hydrogen or mixture with the reservoir fluids, the Equations of State adopted in the compositional simulation must be validated against laboratory data in the pressure and temperature ranges representative of possible operating conditions, and if necessary, properly calibrated. In this paper, we provide the results of experiments carried out on H2-CH4 mixtures within ranges of temperature and pressure conditions representative of depleted gas candidates for storage activities. Constant Mass Expansion (CME) tests were performed using a PVT cell. Pressures up to 300 bar and a temperature range from 30 to 60°C, representing the typical range for a gas storage reservoir in Italy and Europe, were applied. Four different mixtures were considered: pure H2, 50 mole% H2-50 mole% CH4, 10% H2-90 mole% CH4, pure CH4. Results are represented in terms of gas compressibility factor (z factor) curves as a function of pressure for different temperatures and compositions. Furthermore, the obtained results are compared with the GERG-2008 equation of state (EoS). In the considered pressure and temperature ranges, the GERG-2008 EoS provides a satisfactory match with the experimental data for all the considered cases.

Turkey E-mail: sanaz.nezhadmasoum@gmail.com, nzafer@gmail.com Keywords: Historic-geographic approach, Typo-morphology, Urban form, Lefke town Conference topics and scale: Urban morphological methods and techniques Morphological analysis in cities have been employed to conduct the research on the urban form and fabric of the place, that helps to determine the conservation plans or strategies of towns that reveal clues to their own history (Whithand,2001). Such analysis methods are a process that reviews the evolution and evaluation of towns throughout history. This paper focuses on, Conzen’s and Caniggia’s ideas, MRG Conzen’s historic-geographical approaches (1968) on planning level and Caniggia’s typo-morphological process (2001) on architectural level. Those methodologies help to understand the transformation procedure of different regions of city throughout the years and recovering how the city elements and urban hierarchy are interrelated. Additionally, the focus of this paper is to study the town’s morphological transformations, regarding its spatial, geographical and historical combinations. Within this context, Geographical and historical surveys done on the whole town of Lefke, in north-west Cyprus, and a detailed explanation on the typo-morphological analyses of some particular regions will be given in this article. One of the significant character that makes the town unique is its historical background which lay down with an organic urban pattern from Ottoman period. Lefke town was first formed with a medieval character, and through centuries of functional and physical transformations, has been highly influenced by British extensions, which were either prearranged modifications affected by socio- natural, economic, and political situations, or instinctive and spontaneous changes. All these historical factors, along with its geographical features, make Lefke an interesting case to be studied with an urban typo-morphological approach. Streszczenie:
Abstract The Earth-Moon system is constantly bombarded by meteoroids of different sizes. They are fragments of asteroids, comets, and major celestial bodies which provide information about the formation and evolution of the Solar System. Meteor showers have been studied for at least 50 years to construct Solar System meteoroid models which can be exploited to understand the spatial distribution of objects near the Earth-Moon system, to predict the degradation of spaceborne equipment, and to forecast large impact on Earth [1]. These models have been constructed by performing Earth-based observations of meteor showers and lunar flashes due to meteoroid impacts. As Earth-based observations are limited by geometrical, illumination, and meteorological constraints, a Moon-orbiting observatory could increase the quality and quantities of meteoroid impact detection to improve current meteoroid models. To answer these questions, the Lunar Meteoroid Impacts Observer (LUMIO) mission has been designed and is currently in development under ESA funding [2]. LUMIO is a CubeSat mission to a halo orbit at Earth-Moon L2 that shall observe, quantify, and characterize meteoroid impacts on the Lunar farside by detecting their flashes, complementing Earth-based observations on the Lunar nearside, to provide global information on the Lunar Meteoroid Environment and contribute to Lunar Situational Awareness [3, 4]. The LUMIO mission foresees two modes during its operative phase [5]: the Science Cycle and the Navigation & Engineering Cycle. The former lasts approximately 14 days and occurs when the Moon far side has the optimal illumination to perform flash detection (i.e., half of the Moon is not illuminated). The latter is defined as the complementary of the Science Cycle. During the Navigation & Engineering Cycle, the CubeSats cannot carry out scientific observations and performs reaction wheel desaturation, communication with the Earth, station-keeping, and technological demonstration. The technological demonstration performed by LUMIO is the Optical Navigation Experiment (ONX) [6]. The ONX aims at proving the feasibility of CubeSats to autonomously navigate in the cislunar environment without communication with the ground by exploiting images of the Moon. Indeed, the spacecraft-Moon range is computed by determining the apparent size of the Moon in the image [7, 8]. This piece of information is then provided to the navigation filter to determine the spacecraft state [6]. The computation of the spacecraft-Moon range is determined by the image processing (IP) algorithm which determines the Moon limb location in the image at subpixel precision [9] and estimates the spacecraft-Moon range with a non-iterative method [10]. To make the algorithm robust to possible outliers in the limb location points, the RANSAC algorithm is used [11]. This IP pipeline provides position measurements to the navigation filter by exploiting attitude information from the ADCS subsystem. The navigation filter is an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) in ECI J2000 taking into account the Moon and Earth gravitational attraction and the Sun third-body perturbation. This work presents the current status of the ONX by focusing on the image processing (IP) algorithm, the navigation filter, and the expected results during the experiment.
