Many kinds of worships that spread in Hinduism and other religions have no value to Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, and there will be no reward in the Hereafter for whosoever engage with these rejected worships. Many Muslims in Bangladesh believe that worship does not exist in the Hindu religion except in Islam, so they participate in Hinduism in their feasts and celebrations in ignorance. The Muslims in Bangladesh were influenced by the Hindu religion, so their worship was affected by their worship. Herein lies the research problem. The research aims: that in Hinduism there are special worships as in Islam, but they are different in their ways, and that their worship is specific to the gods and not to The One and Only God, as well as to identify the way of worship in the Hindu religion and the position of Islam towards it. The research took the qualitative approach: based on induction and knowledge of the concept of man-made religions, and the analytical approach to clarify the reality of Hindu religious worship, and the extent of its impact on the Muslims of Bangladesh and its presence in Bangladesh. The result of the research: Hinduism is a pagan religion of the contemporary religions that a large number of people adhere to. And that the head of the Hindu deities in Bangladesh that they worship are idols. And that the worship of Hinduism is the fruits of the experiences of nations that played their role in the formation of Hindu thought.

The People who have not only multi ethnic, multi -religious and multi -languages in Sri Lanka but also, they follow different beliefs and cultural traditions as well. Hindu and Buddhist religious and cultural traditions are very prominent in Sri Lanka. Even though India is the root cause for the prevailing Hindu and Buddhist traditions in Sri Lanka, both the traditions and its worships and beliefs have unique and independent characteristics different from India. Small deity worship comprises of unique and independent characteristics in Sri Lanka. Small Deity worship in Hindu tradition: Kazhippu ritual, temple ritual, Kumara Deiva worship, Vairava worship, Pathini Amman worship, tree worship, Naga thampiran worship and small deity worship in Buddhist tradition: Thovil, Magapirith, katharagama deio, Bahirava, Pathini Deio, Bothi tree, Maga Naga are compared and identified unique and innovative characteristics among them. In this research, historical method, comparative method and descriptive method have been used. Data gathered from field work are considered as primary sources and data gathered from literature, research articles, manuscripts, etc. considered as secondary sources. Knowing origin and background of Hindu and Buddhist religion, identifying characteristics of small deity worship in Hindu and Buddhist tradition in Sri Lanka, discovering unique and innovative characteristics of small deity worship of Hindu and Buddhist traditions and evaluating values revealed by the two traditions are objectives of the research. Research area for this study is Magoya Divisional Secretary and Eravur Pattu Divisional Secretary. The conclusion of the research is that the small deity worships of the above two traditions fulfills psychological needs of the concerned people and small deity worship beliefs and traditions of Hindu and Buddhist religions will continue for long time.

The intensity of celebrity worship is increasingly occurring in Indonesia. Celebrity worship is any form of behavior or feelings that arise from inner to worship an idol figure as a gratification, entertainment, or to fill in the emptiness. Celebrity worship is divided into entertainment social, intense personal, and borderline pathological. Celebrity worship can be done by anyone and its intensity decreases with age. However, some media reports that celebrity worship is found in early adulthood. Thus the purpose of this study was to describe behavior of celebrity worship in early adulthood aged 20-30-year-old in Jakarta. The research design is quantitative descriptive method. Subjects in this study amounted to 250 people who live in Jakarta. It is found that 34% (85 people) into the Entertainment Social levels, 34.8% (87 people) into the level Intense Personal, and 31.2% (78 people) into the Borderline Pathological levels. It shows that celebrity worships still exist in early adulthood in Jakarta.

I am a Christian. In my opinion, this is the most important way I can describe myself as a person. As a son, brother, friend, employee, and student my Faith undeniably affects every facet of my life. In an effort to make my last year as a student resonate on a personal level, I have combined my spiritual journey with my academic one. My intent was to characterize my Christian faith in order to introduce an architecture that embodies the duality of a personal connection to God and a community experience based on fellowship. My ten-week investigation of my beliefs, the Christian church, and architectural precedents has pointed me towards designing a remote worship destination in an effort to explore the intersection that occurs between the spiritual and earthly realms and between the individual and society. My hope is that this design will embody my concept of the Christian faith as a process, or journey, and the nature of that process causing a spiritual separation from society. My intention is to symbolically represent a journey, a point of rest and introspection, and to capture the nature of worship with an architecture and how that architecture responds to a site. My process thus far has been incredibly introspective and educational on so much more than an academic plane. My early research was fueled by cynicism and frustration with how I have seen the Christian faith and church represented in America today. However, diving deeper into the spirituality of Christian worship I have gained a beautiful perspective on our relationship with God and each other. The purpose of this project was to explore what makes worship meaningful to people and to determine if postmodern worship could be incorporated into a traditional Baptist church’s worship in a way that would be meaningful to adults of all ages. For the purpose of the project, we defined postmodern worship as worship that is multisensory, experiential, enhanced with art, video or other imagery, is more participatory in nature, less clergy centric and word driven. In order to measure if postmodern worship was more meaningful, we ran a mixed methods research project at First Baptist Church in Columbia, MO; the research included the collection of both quantitative (surveys) and qualitative (interviews) data.

We designed a series of six worship services, which included elements enhanced with a postmodern style. After three of those worship services, we conducted surveys with the worship participants. We had them rank each element of the worship service based on how meaningful it was and we asked them a series of open-ended questions about the worship service. In addition, we conducted in-depth interviews with members of the congregation to determine what made worship meaningful to them and to further explore their experience of the postmodern elements in the worship services. After analyzing the data, our research revealed that the postmodern elements of worship were indeed more meaningful to members of the congregation.

During the project, we were not attempting to radically alter worship at First Baptist. Instead, we focused on worship innovation, renewing our worship by adding a more postmodern style to what we were already doing. This approach proved very successful. The congregation responded with enthusiasm and since the conclusion of the project, we have continued to utilize a more post postmodern style in worship.

The Typikon of Archbishop Nicodemus is a significant source for understanding the worship and chant of the Serbian archdiocese at the beginning of the 14th century. Chant has always been considered one of the most important elements of worship, which is why its development has always been carefully controlled by the Church. The typikons of the earliest times are carefully prescribed what will be used in worship, but with equal precision and care, also point out how Psalms, hymns, etc. were singing. Typikon accurately determines the musical characteristics of the hymns themselves, primarily determining what melody needs to be chanted in a church song. Since 2013, City of Denpasar government has adopted smoke-free law regarding smokefree areas including worship places. However, compliance with smoke-free law at worship places remains low. The implementation of the law faces several obstacles particularly at Hindu temples since it is mostly semi-opened spaces and high social acceptability of smoking where cigarette and smoking have been deeply engrained within social and religious life. Hence, this study aims to assess factors that associated with smoking behavior at worship places particularly at Hindu temple in Denpasar Bali Indonesia. This study was a cross-sectional study, conducted in the city of Denpasar, involving 192 samples which selected using multistage random sampling. The data was collected using a structured questionnaire then analyzed using path analysis. There were 12 factors analyzed such as past behavior of smoking, exposure to anti-smoking policies, nicotine dependence, knowledge and attitude regarding second-hand smoke, knowledge and attitude regarding implementation of smoke-free law, sociodemographic (age, education), social norms of smoking (descriptive and injunctive). Of the 11 factors, 5 factors had a significant effect on smoking behavior. Past behavior of smoking had a direct negative effect with a standardized coefficient (beta) -0.34 (p<0.01); followed by nicotine dependence which had an indirect negative effect (beta -0.07; p=0.01). Meanwhile, positive direct and indirect effects showed by descriptive norms (beta 0.14; p=0.04); injunctive norms (beta 0.15; p=0.02) and education (beta 0.14; p=0.03). Past behavior of smoking had the highest effect on smoking behavior in worship places. Hence, continuous education, socialization and improved supervision to the implementation of smoke-free law remain crucial. This CREID Policy Briefing provides recommendations to address the marginalisation, discrimination and exclusion faced by displaced Yazidi women in Iraq. Throughout the history of their presence in Iraq, the Yazidis have experienced harassment, persecution, killing and displacement. Most recently, they have been exposed to genocide from the Islamic State (ISIS) group after they took control of Sinjar district and the cities of Bahzani and Bashiqa in the Nineveh Plain in 2014, destroying Yazidi homes, schools, businesses and places of worship. Yazidi people were killed or forced to convert to Islam. Over 6,000 were kidnapped, including over 3,500 women and girls, many of whom were forced into sexual slavery. Men and boys were murdered or forced to become soldiers. Any remaining citizens were displaced. Seven years later, more than 2,000 Yazidi women and children were still missing or in captivity, more than 100,000 Yazidis had migrated abroad, and over 200,000 Yazidi people were still displaced, living in camps.

The artіcle hіghlіghts the humanіtarіan polemіcs іn the Western Ukraіnіan press іn the іnterwar (1920-30s) perіod іn three aspects: the polemіcs of Ukraіnіan-language magazіnes among themselves, the polemіcs of the Ukraіnіan-language press wіth the Polіsh and Russіan press, the place of the Ukraіnіan press іnvolved іn the polemіcs іn the colonіal and global cultural – іnformatіonal contexts, іts representatіve relatіons wіth the judіcіal, executіve and legіslatіve authorіtіes іn the process of changes іn the socіal and polіtіcal atmosphere іn thіs tіme-space. The purpose of thіs artіcle іs to hіghlіght the humanіtarіan polemіcs іn the Western Ukraіnіan press іn the іnterwar (1920-30s) perіod іn three aspects: the polemіcs of Ukraіnіan magazіnes among themselves, the polemіcs of the Ukraіnіan press wіth the Polіsh and Russіan press, the Ukraіnіan press іn the global cultural and іnformatіonal context; dіfferentіatіon of polemіcal publіcatіons accordіng to genre-thematіc affіlіatіon to the socіo-polіtіcal dіscourse of the struggle of іdeas, symbols, sіgns, іmages, the struggle of relіgіous doctrіnes through the medіatіon of Ukraіnіan-centrіc іnformatіon (press) flows, whіch іn turn were fought by the then colonіal, іn partіcular Polіsh, polіtіcal power, subjectіng theіr censorshіp, confіscatіon, closure, harassment of edіtors and journalіsts. The basіc feature of іnter-magazіne relatіons of varіous Ukraіnіan and Ukraіnіan-language magazіnes of the іnterwar perіod was polemіcs, the topіcs of whіch were: polіtіcs (antі-Polіsh, pro-Polіsh, respectіvely – antі-Russіan, pro-Russіan); relіgіon (language of worshіp, hіerarchіcal subordіnatіon of the church); culture (problems of language, theatrіcal productіons, etc.); school busіness; cooperatіon; the sіtuatіon of the peasantry. That іs, all spheres of socіal lіfe, the representatіves of whіch were the mіrrors of magazіnes, patented by us for research іn thіs (spherіcal) structure: cooperatіve press, relіgіous press, etc. At the same tіme, the magazіnes that were publіshed іn the tіme-space determіned by us dіd not only “quarrel” wіth each other, but also often supported each other, prіntіng letters of support, advertіsіng each other durіng subscrіptіon campaіgns, takіng joіnt partіcіpatіon іn court hearіngs, etc. Keywords: controversy; press; colonіal dіscourse; confіscate; censorshіp.
