Abstract: Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is an innovative online banking system. Made inIndia has reached the peak of popularity ina short time wingspan. Growth in UPI alsoleads to higher data frequencies violate. Social engineering attacks are India's biggest security risk encountered duringconfinement (lockdown). Users of the Unified Payment Interface are Cyber criminals are easily enticed. These fraudsare not due to default in the UPI systems or interfaces, but are tactics to deceive customers. By the way of phishing, vishing, or smishing. Social engineering attack techniques are planned to exploit users by utilizing significant UPI features such as "Collect Request", " Virtual Private Address, " or" QR Code. " Reverse-engineering the UPI protocol through seven well-known UPI apps, this paper employs a principled methodology toconduct a thorough security analysis of theprotocol. We find previously unreported design-levelflaws in the UPI 1.0 specification's multi- factor authentication that, when coupled with an installed attacker-controlled application, can result in serious attacks. Even if a victim had never used a UPI app, the flaws in the attack's extreme version might have allowed a victim's bank account to be linked and emptied. Scalable and remotely executable attacks were possible. Most users blindly follow the instructions received through SMS or phone call and become a victim of cyber fraud. Analysis data collected from respondents reveals the grim fact that age or occupation has no impact on user behavior in response to technical attack techniques.

Streszczenie:

Waiting for anything is undesirable by most of the human beings. Especially in the case of digital money transactions, most of the people may have doubtful thoughts on their mind about the success rate of their transactions while taking a longer processing time. The Unified Payment Interface (UPI) system was developed in India for minimizing the typographic works during the digital money transaction process. The UPI system has a separate UPI identification number of each individual consisting of their name, bank name, branch name, and account number. Therefore, sharing of account information has become easier and it reduces the chances of typographic errors in digital transaction applications. Sharing of UPI details are also made easy and secure with Quick Response (QR) code scanning methods. However, a digital transaction like UPI requires a lot of servers to be operated for a single transaction same as in National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) and Immediate Payment Services (IMPS) in India. This increases the waiting time of digital transactions due to poor server communication and higher volume of payment requests on a particular server. The motive of the proposed work is to minimize the server communications by employing a distributed blockchain system. The performance is verified with a simulation experiment on BlockSim simulator in terms of transaction success rate and processing time over the traditional systems.

Since 2016, the Indian market has been responsible for the majority of the UPI platform's adoption, which is also referred to as the Unified Payment Interface (often known simply as UPI). This study's objective is to discover how the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in India is affecting the underserved people there in terms of their level of economic development, access to banking services, and financial literacy. In order to demonstrate the existence of the connection, a structural equation modeling-based route analysis of the significant component is carried out. In order to collect the information required for the inquiry, a questionnaire using an interval scale was utilised. It has been discovered that people's acquaintance with personal finance may be affected as a result of the UPI. There is a negative correlation between the tempo of economic augmentation and the percentage of the population that is financially literate and, as a result, actively participates in the financial system. The reason for this is that having a strong understanding of personal finance inspires more people to make use of the monetary system. When monetary means are included into either of these linkages, the quality of either or both of those ties is improved. The most significant outcome of the research was that UPI has a variety of beneficial benefits on society. This has a knock-on effect of increasing financial literacy, which in turn assists people with lower incomes in bettering their financial situation and participating in the financial system. As a consequence of this, the findings of this study might have some influence on how the UPI policy is established in the years to come. In prior research, a correlation between the UPI and any of the aforementioned indices of the involvement of economically excluded groups was not discovered to exist.

Abstract: UPI campus is an educational environment which accommodates a variety of academic activities that are organized and arranged according to the hierarchy and activity needs. Activities on campus increased, as does the intensity of a movement which is not fit with the availability of compelling and informative signage within the campus. These research proses are started with an observation and collecting data about the quality of signage in the UPI campus area. The data then compared with the basic principles of signage design as part of the wayfinding process and the suitability of the design to the aesthetic value of the signage as part of environmental graphic design. This research is expected to bring benefits in the science of Environmental Graphic Design, which is an incision between architecture and graphic design science field. This research also expected to be contributed for the UPI campus development, and also provide an alternative design in campus spatial planning policy that improves the quality of campuses landscape.Keywords: Signage; Wayfinding; campus. Abstrak: Kampus Universitas Pendidikan indonesia (UPI) merupakan kawasan kampus Induk UPI yang menampung berbagai macam aktivitas perkuliahan dan aktivitas akademik yang tertata dan tersusun berdasarkan hierarki dan kebutuhan ruang. Aktivitas di dalam kampus terus meningkat, begitu juga intensitas pergerakan di dalam kawasan kampus yang tidak diimbangi dengan pengadaaan fasilitas sistem penanda (signage) di dalam lingkungan kampus yang efektif dan informatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam proses pengamatan, pengumpulan informasi, dan penyajian analisis menggunakan pendekatan Kualitatif. Studi ini menggunakan metode observasi di lapangan terhadap kualitas penanda identitas di dalam kawasan kampus UPI. Bentuk evaluasi yang dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan komparasi antara penanda identitas di dalam kawasan kampus UPI dengan prinsip prinsip dasar desain penanda sebagai bagian dari proses wayfinding, dan kesesuaian desain terhadap nilai estetis penanda sebagai bagian dari desain grafis lingkungan (Environmental Graphic Design). Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membawa manfaat dalam pengembangan ilmu arsitektur dan ilmu desain grafis, khususnya bidang ilmu Environemntal Graphic Desain yang menjadi jembatan antara dua rumpun ilmu. Selain itu, dapat Memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan masterplan kampus UPI dan memberi masukan terhadap kebijakan tata ruang kampus guna memperbaiki kualitas ruang luar secara menyeluruh.Kata Kunci: Penanda; signage; wayfinding, kampus.

The study aims at finding the preferences of customers on UPI payments over cash. The UPI or Unified Payment Interface is a digital payment system gateway that allows customers to transfer money from one bank account to another using smartphone and internet connectivity. Due to its ease and security features, UPI payments have recently experienced enormous growth in popularity in India. This study tries to comprehend the variables influencing consumer preference for UPI payments over cash and the preference for various UPI service providers available in the market and the factors influencing it. The questionnaire has a Likert five-point scaling to understand the level of difficulties and satisfaction. The results of this study are based on the responses from 150 individuals on an online survey. The technological revolution has seen a massive change in payment systems and has resulted in a plethora of options for making payments whenever needs. Abstract: After demonetization, there was a massive requirement for currency notes, but the government was unable to provide the required quantity of currency notes, and also Indian government wanted to promote cashless transactions. UPI is built over Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) for transferring funds using Virtual Payment Address (a unique ID provided by the bank). Unified Payments Interface is a payment system launched by (NPCI), which is National Payments Corporation of India, and is regulated by the (RBI) Reserve Bank of India, which provides the facility of instant fund transfer between two bank accounts online through payment apps. Digital transactions by UPI have been made very easy. The UPI service is available 24X7, and it is not like RTGS and NEFT, which do not work on holidays and non-banking hours. The Reserve Bank of India’s digital rupee (e₹) and the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) are transforming the future of payments in India. In our research study, researcher adopted a qualitative method to understand existing literature on the topic. Official and non-official websites were analyzed for information. The study relied on secondary data only, as there was limited prior research in this area. This study analyzes the impact and potential of the digital rupee and UPI in the Indian financial landscape. The digital rupee, launched on December 1, 2022, offers many advantages over traditional paper currency, including security, accessibility, and government backing. The study also highlights potential drawbacks such as disruption to the banking system and security concerns. On the other hand, UPI is a platform for facilitating banking transactions, different from the digital rupee. The integration of the digital rupee with existing payment systems such as UPI and IMPS is expected to increase financial inclusion and reduce transaction costs. The study answers key research questions and concludes that the digital rupee and UPI have the potential to play a significant role in the future of payments in India.

ABSTRAKSI: Sebagai LPTK (Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga Kependidikan), UPI (Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia) perlu melakukan suatu kajian untuk merancang sistem pengelolaan keuangan perguruan tinggi berbasis aktivitas dengan metode ABC (Activity-Based Costing), yang diharapkan akan dapat mengukur secara lebih rinci aktivitas-aktivitas utama dan pendukung dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa seluruh Fakultas yang ada di lingkungan UPI menyatakan kesiapan untuk menerapkan sistem ABC. Berdasarkan FGD (Focus Group Discussion), terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi untuk menerapkan sistem ABC di UPI di Bandung, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Secara keseluruhan diperoleh hasil bahwa sistem ABC dapat diterapkan di UPI selama ada niat dan kerjasama yang baik dari Kementerian Pendidikan dan pimpinan Universitas.KATA KUNCI: Biaya Pendidikan Berbasis Kegiatan; Uang Kuliah Tunggal; Mutu Pendidikan; Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia; Niat dan Kerjasama yang Baik. ABSTRACT: “The Implementation of Activity-Based Costing to Improve the Quality of Education in Higher Education Institutions: A Case Study of Indonesia University of Education”. As an institute of teacher training and education, UPI (Indonesia University of Education) needs to conduct a study on designing college financial management systems based on activity through the method of ABC (Activity-Based Costing), that is expected to be able to measure in more detail the main and supporting activities in the implementation of education. The results show that all Faculties at UPI declare their readiness to implement the ABC system. Based on the FGD (Focus Group Discussion), there are several problems in implementing ABC system at UPI in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Introduction of UPI has revolutionized the Indian banking system and since then dynamics of payment ecosystem has noted a major transformation. UPI has proved to be a boon in the pandemic situation by facilitating contactless and remote transactions. Thus it is crucial to study user acceptance of payments using UPI and factors influencing its usage. The present paper extended UTAUT3 (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) with an additional construct called 'trust'. Studies on behavioral intention are not rare. But behavioral intention towards UPI usage is not yet explored. What makes this study unique is its attempt to use both SEM and Neural Network to analyze data. It will guide future researchers to pursue technology adoption studies using this multi-method technique. The novelty also resides in the fact that trust, the newly added construct, has proved to be the most important antecedent of behavioral intention towards UPI usage.

This study aimed to assess the level of effectiveness of the implementation of the Bleye Kukum justice system in terms of: Conflict resolution, Peace and Order, Governance, and Economy was also identified. Also, the problems encountered by the Indigenous People concerning the Bleye Kukum justice system, which was the basis of the policy recommendations. The study used the descriptive-evaluative method to determine the level of effectiveness of the implementation of the Bleye Kukum justice system in South Upi, Maguindanao. It was conducted in the selected barangays in the municipality of South Upi, Maguindanao. The respondents of this study were the Tri-People (Muslim, Christian and Teduray) living in the selected barangays which are Barangay Romongaob and Barangay Kuya with the total of One Hundred (100) respondents. The findings show that the respondents’ profile revealed that in terms of the profile of the respondents, most of the respondents were belong to the age of 30 to 39, married, female, earning of 3,000 and below per month, with a big number of dependents and have elementary level of educational attainment. In the level of effectiveness of the implementation of the Bleye Kukum Justice System in terms of conflict resolution, peace and order, governance and economy were considered as effective. Majority of the respondents experienced problem on the Bleye Kukum’s process of settling. Thus, it is concluded that the level of effectiveness of the implementation of the Bleye Kukum Justice System is effective.

This study aims to analyze consumer preferences towards the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) in Chennai city. Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is an instant real-time payment system developed by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). The interface facilitates inter-bank peer-to-peer (P2P) and person-to-merchant (P2M) transactions. It is used on mobile devices to instantly transfer funds between two bank accounts. The study was done with the quantitative research approach, and data was collected through a structured questionnaire from 100 respondents residing in Chennai city. The questionnaire focused on various aspects such as awareness, usage, satisfaction, and preference towards UPI-based payments. The findings of the study indicated that the awareness and preference of payments through were high among respondents, with over 61 % preferred payment over UPI. The most common use cases for UPI payments were bill payments, online shopping, and Fund transfers. The research makes use of statistical analysis tools like ANOVA, chi-square, and percentage analysis to study various factors and determine the relationship between the variables

Digitalization is a new buzz world today. Over the past few years, India has been witnessing an extraordinary level of digitization and digital disruption, which has completely transformed the way in which public services are delivered. Technology has become a prominent theme which is driving inclusion across the financial services, education and healthcare ecosystem for all the citizens of India. As a result of the powerful JAM trinity of Jan Dhan Bank Accounts, the biometric Aadhar Card and hundreds of millions of mobile phones, financial inclusion has become a reality for the citizens of India. This has been speeding up by the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) which has witnessed incredible adoption. UPI recorded over 22.33 billion transactions worth over ₹ 41.03 trillion at the end of FY 2020-21. The platform approach taken by the government in conceptualizing UPI has resulted in supreme payments products being developed on top of it, as a result of which payments can be made with the click of a mobile phone not just at retail outlets but also peer to peer, completely redefining the way in which money is transferred between individuals. Before UPI, the banking system is severely depending on different card system, the Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system and transactions through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) system to have the inclusive financial growth. The present research article discusses about the technology revolution in different payment infrastructure, tools and techniques adopted by the Indian banking sector and recognised the challenges faced by Indian banking system to have a digital financial inclusion in the country.

Di sisi lain Kontrol keseimbangan terhadap peran dan warna dari produk inovasi di lingkungan Dir. TIK yang harus ditingkatkan dalam menopang semua unit kerja di UPI. Untuk itu diperlukan upaya seperti menganalisis peluang-peluang peran yang lebih luas dari yang sudah ada selama ini di lingkungan Dir. TIK untuk mewujudkan visi dan misi UPI. Abstract Background To date, the independent predictors and outcomes of unplanned postoperative intubation (UPI) in pediatric patients after noncardiac surgery are yet to be characterized. The authors aimed to identify the incidence and predictors of this event and evaluated the effect of this event on postoperative mortality. Methods Data of 87,920 patients from the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program Pediatric database were analyzed and assigned to derivation (n = 58,614; 66.7%) or validation (n = 29,306; 33.3%) cohorts. The derivation cohort was analyzed for the incidence and independent predictors of early UPI. The final multivariable logistic regression model was validated using the validation cohort. Results Early UPI occurred with an incidence of 0.2% in both cohorts. Among the 540 patients who experienced a UPI, 178 (33.0%) were intubated within the first 72 h after surgery. The final logistic regression model indicated operation time, severe cardiac risk factors, American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status classification more than or equal to 2, tumor involving the central nervous system, developmental delay/impaired cognitive function, past or current malignancy, and neonate status as independent predictors of early UPI. Having an early UPI was associated with an increased risk of unadjusted, all-cause 30-day mortality, demonstrating an odds ratio of 11.4 (95% CI, 5.8 to 22.4). Conclusions Pediatric patients who experienced an early UPI after noncardiac surgery had an increased likelihood of unadjusted 30-day mortality by more than 11-fold. Identification of high-risk patients can allow for targeted intervention and potential prevention of such outcomes.

The main objective of power flow control for unified power flow controller (UPFC) is to increase the transmission capacity over the existing transmission corridor or line. This paper presents a practical engineering methodology of embedding the power flow control model of UPFC into the commercial software -- power system analysis software package (PSASP) based on its user program interface (UPI) function. In the proposed methodology, the interface currents of UPFC series side and UPFC shunt side between the UPFC device and the network are used to control the transmission line power flow and UPFC bus voltage, respectively. In UPFC series side, the current of UPFC series branch is calculated from the power target equation of the controlled line. In UPFC shunt side, the shunt reactive current of UPFC is used to control the bus voltage. Simulation results on a practical power system show that the proposed methodology can be efficiently applied to the engineering research and analysis of the real power grid with UPFC with good convergence and only one control parameter needed to be prescribed.

The effectiveness of employees was influenced by many factors, including the implementation of archival systems and infrastructure. This article discussed the results of research about the impact of implementation of archival system and infrastructure toward the effectiveness of employees’ performance in Bureau of Personnel of Indonesia University of Education. The research was conducted by using explanatory survey method, data were collected by using Likert scale model questionnaire, given to the population of 28 employees of the Bureau of Personnel of Indonesia University of Education. The results of data analysis showed that the percentage of implementation of archival system, infrastructure and effectiveness of employees’ performance were still in low score. However, the implementation of archival systems and infrastructure had a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of employees' performance, either simultaneously or partially. Therefore, the effectiveness of employees can be improved through implementation of archival system and good infrastructure.ABSTRAKEfektivitas kerja pegawai dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, diantaranya adalah implementasi sistem kearsipan dan sarana prasarana. Artikel ini membahas hasil penelitian tentang dampak implementasi sistem kearsipan dan sarana prasarana terhadap efektivitas kerja pegawai di Biro Kepegawaian UPI. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode explanatory survey, data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket model likert scale yang diberikan kepada populasi sejumlah 28 orang pegawai Biro Kepegawaian UPI. Hasil analisa data menunjukkan bahwa presentase implementasi sistem kearsipan, sarana prasarana dan efektivitas kerja pegawai masih kecil. Namun demikian, implementasi sistem kearsipan dan sarana prasarana memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap efektivitas kerja pegawai baik secara simultan maupun parsial. Oleh karena itu, efektivitas kerja pegawai dapat ditingkatkan melalui impelementasi sistem kearsipan dan sarana prasarana yang baik.

This study empirically investigates how the different e-payment methods performed during the pandemic as an alternative medium to the traditional mode of payment. E-payment methods namely Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS), National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT), Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS), Unified Payments Interface (UPI), and Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) are considered from June 1, 2020, to November 30, 2021, when the global pandemic was at its peak. Secondary daily data are considered in this study collected from the RBI database which was converted into corresponding log natural returns. GARCH (1,1) model was applied as the tool for analysis. It was noted that RTGS, AEPS, and UPI undergo positive volatility whereas NEFT and IMPS undergo negative volatility which enables us to conclude that RTGS, AEPS, and UPI are much more acceptable mediums of payments during the pandemic than the others.
