Streszczenie:
Objective: To assess the level of knowledge regarding breastfeeding among postpartum mothers who attended immunization clinics in four maternity hospitals in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. Design: Descriptive cross-sectional survey design. Setting: Four maternity hospitals in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Participants: 400 postpartum mothers (up to 6 months) Methods: The data was collected after obtaining University ethical clearance and administrative permissions from the four maternity hospitals in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. 400 postpartum mothers who attended the immunization clinics (up to 6 months) were approached through convenience sampling technique. The participants were explained about the purpose of the study. Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the participants were selected. Informed consent was taken from the participants. The demographic data and breastfeeding related knowledge questionnaire was collected from the participants. Results: Only [46(11.5%)] postpartum mothers had good breastfeeding knowledge, [255(63.7%)] had average knowledge and [99(24.8%)] mothers had poor breastfeeding knowledge. The mean knowledge score was 4.94±1.92 (maximum score = 12 with mean score % = 41.16). Conclusions: Mothers knowledge is a key factor for improving breastfeeding rates. The majority of the mothers attending immunization clinics were having insufficient knowledge regarding breastfeeding. This underlines the need for the involvement of health care professionals in educating mothers about breastfeeding. Implications for Practice: While developing countries strive to increase institutional births, there is a growing demand for a healthy atmosphere for breastfeeding in health care facilities. Improving the knowledge of expecting mothers in the antenatal period itself can bring in a lot of change in practice of breastfeeding as breastfeeding knowledge is an important factor for improving breastfeeding outcomes. Antenatal counseling regarding breastfeeding, arrangement of child birth classes to couples, provision of guidance and support, are some of the steps which can enhance confidence in mothers and can lead to successful establishment of breastfeeding.

Streszczenie:
Foliar spraying of nanoparticles (NPs) improves the absorption of plant nutrient application compared to traditional soil–root application, and it also enhances the yield and quality of fruits. The present study aimed to evaluate the qualitative effects of foliar sprays of two concentrations of nano-zinc and nano-copper (40 ppm, 60 ppm; 20 ppm, 30 ppm respectively), in comparison to ZnSo4 (recommended by, Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana) and control (foliar spray of water) on the guava crop (var. Allahabad Safeda). The experiment was conducted at Lovely Professional University Research farm, Phagwara, Jalandhar (Punjab) by applying a simple randomized block design, with ten treatments applied as T1: control, T2: nano-Zn1, T3: nano-Zn2, T4: nano-Cu1, T5: nano-Cu2, T6: nano-Zn1+ nano-Cu1, T7: nano-Zn1+ nano-Cu2, T8: nano-Zn2 + nano-Cu1, T9: nano-Zn2 + nano-Cu2, T10: ZnSO4 (PAU recommendation) in three replications. The treatments were sprayed two times, first at the flowering stage and second when the fruit reached pea size. The nutrient spray increases the concentration of nutrients in the leaves while also affecting the biochemical parameters. The performance for total soluble solids (9.89°B), total sugars (8.74%), titratable acidity (0.98%), antioxidants (7.49%), firmness (5.71kg/cm2), non-reducing sugars (3.32%), Vitamin-C (268.90mg/100g pulp), pectin content (2.13%), reducing sugars (5.46%), and TSS/acid ratio (10.06) was superior with the application of nano-Zn2 + nano-Cu2 (T9). The application of nano-micronutrients (zinc and copper) in combination is favorable for the quality of guava fruit (Allahabad Safeda).

Streszczenie:
The paper is devoted to the development of a university library strategy in the period of digitalization of all spheres of social activity. There are analyzed theoretical approaches and practical methods for developing strategic planning in library activities. The paper defines the need for strategic management as a factor in the effectiveness of a university library. There are considered the directions of the library strategic development, which depend on the vector of development of the university, its educational and research activities. The strategic planning is presented as a process of modeling the future activities of the library. It includes the library’s mission formulation, its objectives, tasks and events to achieve the goals, as well as its key performance indicators. The article sees the development strategy as an element of the management process aimed at creating and maintaining a strategic balance between the goals of the library and the university, its potential and likely development prospects. The article shows the advantages of SWOT analysis as a unique tool for designing a library development strategy. There are presented five stages of developing the Strategy for the Scientific Library of the Siberian Federal University. The authors note that the library has a good potential to develop the digitalization process: there is a digitization center, good technical equipment, its own software products, an extensive repertoire of world resources, a wide range of online services, etc. However, there are also weak points that hinder the library development: the obsolescence of the computer equipment, the lack of modern ergonomic space for individual and group work of students, the irregular acquisition of printed publications, the instability of funding, etc. All this can complicate the library development in the context of the digital economy development and lead to a decline in the prestige of the library. The library’s development strategy is aimed at eliminating these problems. It presents the goals, objectives, efficiency criteria for each area of activity of the modern library of the university. The article reveals the main strategic directions of the library’s development. The proposed strategy can become a real tool for optimizing the activities of all libraries in the transition period of the digital society development.

Streszczenie:
The aim of this short conference presentation was to highlight the importance of seeking alternative technological approaches to the optimization of university libraries’ resources and services. It discusses briefly the changes that are taking place in universities, and the importance for libraries of being seen to contribute to facilitating those changes. It explains the growing importance of research activity, and the expectations of researchers, an increasingly influential group in universities. It then goes on to outline the potential for increasing collections of electronic information by redirecting some of the effort of the libraries’ staff towards discovering and securing resources that are already available and offer data and information that may be valued by researchers. Finally, it provides a reminder that it is not enough to be good at what you do unless this is recognised, and stresses the importance of networking and advocacy as a means of providing a constant reminder to the influential and decision makers. An earlier version of this paper was presented at ‘Los Sistemas Bibliotecarios – Desarrollo y Perspectivas’ [Library Systems – Development and Perspectives]: 14th International Conference on University Libraries organised by Dirección General de Bibliotecas, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, 16th to 18th November, 2016.
