Streszczenie:
Efficient and effective urban management systems for Ubiquitous Eco Cities require having intelligent and integrated management mechanisms. This integration includes bringing together economic, socio-cultural and urban development with a well-orchestrated, transparent and open decision-making system and necessary infrastructure and technologies. In Ubiquitous Eco Cities, telecommunication technologies play an important role in monitoring and managing activities via wired and wireless networks. Particularly, technology convergence creates new ways in which information and telecommunication technologies are used and formed the backbone of urban management. The 21st century is an era where information has converged, in which people are able to access a variety of services, including internet- and location- based services, through multi-functional devices and provides new opportunities in the management of Ubiquitous Eco Cities. This paper discusses developments in telecommunication infrastructure and trends in convergence technologies and their implications on the management of Ubiquitous Eco Cities.

Streszczenie:
In this paper, we study how mobile computing and wireless technologies can be explored to provide effective ubiquitous GIS services. Instead of reinventing the wheels, we make use of smartphones, off-the-shelf components, and existing technologies in ubiquitous computing (i.e. wireless and mobile positioning technologies, and data acquisition techniques and processing via sensors) to develop a middleware, and tools for the development of systems and applications to provide effective ubiquitous GIS services. Two main tasks to be studied are: 1) Developing a framework, called UbiSound, to provide the infrastructure and architectural support for realizing ubiquitous GIS services; and 2) Designing and developing ubiquitous GIS applications by utilizing the UbiSound framework to let users experience and benefit from the context aware services. We use scenario to illustrate how mobile/wireless and sensor technologies can enable ubiquitous GIS services in UbiSound. Some of the examples included in UbiSound are: Noise mapping, soundscape mapping and wellbeing data acquisition and analysis.

Streszczenie:
Abstract The space inside a vehicle, which people can enjoy while travelling, is becoming more intelligent due to the technological developments within the automotive industry. This has influenced the increase in new services that are intended to fulfil the needs of vehicle users. This article presents a survey on the provisioning of ubiquitous intelligent services for vehicular users. It also identifies clusters of research interest on this subject. To this end, an evaluation of results from six scientific research databases supports these goals. This process initially identified 37 328 publications; after filtering and clustering, the scope of analysis became 39 articles. The main contributions points to (i) the existence of five active research clusters, as a result of the inclusion of a visual clustering step in the systematic mapping protocol; (ii) an indication of a string of studies starting in the late ’90s from traffic issues, intelligent transport systems and profiling, to smart cities, the Internet of Things, big data, fog computing and internet of vehicles in recent years; and (iii) that the main challenges associated with the implementation of ubiquitous intelligent services for vehicular users are related to data security, infrastructure, connectivity and high mobility.

The u-Business service is prevailed trend due to rapid development of telecommunication technology and the growth of ubiquitous computing environments. However, since the majority of u-Business service cases such as home network service, location-based service have not been focused on user requirements, and deduced business services and built systems considering only technical issues, there may be a possibility to be an obstacle for spreading advanced future u-Business services. Therefore, this study investigated user requirements to model the u-Bookstore business service as a killer service of u-Businesses and designed a system for a large bookstore. By exploiting various ways to deduce u-Service's requirements needed in the future-enabled ubiquitous computing business environments and proposing directions to implement them. This study result is anticipated to suggest validity for developing ubiquitous computing technologies, and it is expected to utilize as fundamental data for spreading u-Business.

Streszczenie:
You may forget where you left your keys when you need them. In ubiquitous computing space your keys will find you and inform you where they are. Ubiquitous computing, the third generation of computing spaces, following mainframes and personal computers, is in its incipient evolution steps. In ubiquitous computing space, sensors and computing nodes are invisibly, inconspicuously, and overwhelmingly embedded in all real-world objects and are all connected to each other through omnipresent wireless networks. The goal is to make real-world objects seem intelligent and autonomous in providing users with electronic and Internet services with users not even noticing how they are provided with these services. The real world, cyberspace, modeling, and mathematics are identified as the main constituents of ubiquitous computing in this study. These four areas are investigated one-by-one and in combination to show how they create a solid foundation for ubiquitous computing. An application of ubiquitous computing in car navigation systems is used to indicate the reliability of the proposed framework.

Learning Management System (LMS) plays a vital role and an imprortant part in technology-enhanced learning. It presents different services to enhance the education procedure in ubiquitous learning condition. But, it is found that in existing education MS a extend range of education procedure and process are presented. But, it needs to be developed with some ubiquitous additional functionality. So the current research we proposed a struture for LMS to integrate social media services to make the LMS enrich in ubiquitous condition. This structure approves efficient social and intellectual interaction between users in ubiquitous Learning Management System environment.
