Use of solid-state imaging devices and digitization of analog camera outputs can improve the accuracy of such measurements, or make accuracy lower or (worst of all) of random accuracy if interpreted incorrectly. Today, an analogue system is used, which has a maximum capacity of eighteen video sources and the same number of monitors.
