In 2020, the number of traffic accidents from student age was 42,604 people. Meanwhile, there were 26,355 traffic accidents from student age until September this year. Based on gender, the majority of traffic accidents occurred in men. Traffic accidents contribute greatly as one of the causes of death in Indonesia. Traffic accidents have a high fatality rate. Data shows that in one year, 25, 2666 people died due to traffic accidents. Among the victims of traffic accidents are school children. About 95% of the causes of accidents are human error factors. The purpose of this community service is to provide an understanding of good traffic in early childhood. Understanding facilities for pedestrians and cycling lanes. The method provided is by providing material, pictures of traffic signs, and play displays related to traffic signs. Evaluation and results of activities by dividing students into several small groups and this is effective, students are able to explain traffic signs, and good traffic procedures, especially for users of pedestrian facilities and safe cyclist routes.

Traffic accidents depend on many factors and circumstances. Important data are registered by taking photos of the accident place, measuring the deformations of vehicles and skidding and sliding traces. Weather conditions, drivers’ and pedestrian's actions are also taken into account. However the existing data are far from sufficient to conduct a research into traffic accidents. In such cases mathematical modelling and the application of computer programs are very helpful. This article deals with the processes during the collision of vehicles as well as the occupant's dynamics inside the vehicle. The research studies on what the occupant motion depends and what is the power balance between the occupant and safety means. The article offers a way of evaluating injuries, measuring the occupants’ acceleration and velocity, taking into account different distances inside the vehicle during an accident.

Traffic safety may be ensured by normal operation of all elements of the system, including the driver, a motor vehicle and transportation medium. Insufficient safety of some particular elements of this system (the lack of discipline of the participants of traffic, poor technical state of a motor vehicle or road, etc.) are the main causes of traffic accidents. Statistical data on traffic accidents in 2000–2009 in Lithuania is presented. Collisions of motor vehicles in 2009 make one of the largest proportion of all traffic accidents ‐ 33.4%. In 2009 drivers, were the main traffic accident perpetrators ‐ 73.6%. The paper considers some major aspects of motor vehicle collision simulation based on the application of PC‐CRASH software, allowing researchers to analyze the changes in the direction of motor vehicle motion in the case of a collision and the influencing factors. This type of traffic accident simulation consists in studying the circumstances of collision, reconstructing the processes, calculating the pre‐impact speed of motor vehicles and deter‐ mining various parameters of motor vehicles’ movement at different stages of traffic accident development.

Ipsilateral fractures of humerus, femur and tibia is a rare entity. The number of fractures resulting due to road traffic accidents is on the rise. These Type of injuries usually occur due to high-velocity road traffic accidents. High-velocity road traffic accidents are associated with multiple bony injuries as well as injuries to various internal organs. These injuries are often difficult to manage due to their complex nature. Mostly multiple fractures are produced in ipsilateral limbs. This condition makes the management even more difficult. Hence a multi-modality approach is often required. A 55-year-old male sustained floating knee with ipsilateral shaft humerus fracture. After a three-staged surgical approach with three modalities for treating the compound injury, the patient had an excellent result with the full range of motion in the knee and complete coverage of wound. Compound floating injuries should be treated with simultaneous fixation of femur and tibia fractures to achieve early full range of knee motion with Vacuum-assisted closure followed by skin grafting for complete wound coverage.

The measurement of acceleration during vehicle motion can be used to assess the driving styles and behaviours of drivers, to control vehicle traffic, to detect uncontrolled vehicle behaviour, and to prevent accidents. The measurement of acceleration during vehicle motion on an icy road can be used to warn the driver about changing conditions and the related hazards. This paper presents the results of testing the motion parameters of a Ford Transit adapted for passenger transport in critical traffic conditions. It can contribute to the improvement of road safety. Critical traffic conditions are deemed in the paper as sudden braking, rapid acceleration, and circular vehicle motion at maximum speed maintainable in the given conditions. The vehicle’s acceleration and speed were measured during the tests. The tests were carried out with a TAA linear acceleration sensor and a Correvit S-350 Aqua optoelectronic sensor. The same test runs were conducted on a dry surface, a wet (after rain) surface and a surface covered with a thin, invisible ice layer. The objective of the tests was to determine the impact of invisible road icing, the so-called black ice, on the tested vehicle’s braking, acceleration, and circular motion. It was demonstrated that a virtually invisible ice layer covering the road surface has a substantial impact on the tested vehicle’s motion parameters, thereby affecting traffic safety. It substantially extends the braking and acceleration distances and requires the driver to reduce the vehicle’s speed when performing circular motions. A clear wet surface, representing motion after rain, did not substantially affect the analysed parameters. The obtained results can be used in traffic simulations and to analyse the causes of accidents.

With the increase in global car ownership, the demand for traffic safety is very strong. Research shows that drivers account for more than 90% of global traffic accidents. Driverless cars can reduce traffic accidents caused for these reasons and greatly improve traffic safety. At the same time, driverless real-time path planning can select the best driving route for vehicles, reduce traffic congestion, and improve the efficiency of transportation. To sum up, driverless vehicles are considered an important solution to ensure traffic safety, improve traffic efficiency, reduce energy consumption and pollution, and change travel mode. An intelligent driverless vehicle is a key component of the intelligent transportation system, which organically combines various functions such as. Among them, path tracking and motion control play a very important role in intelligent driverless technology. At the same time, accurately tracking the desired feasible path and stable motion control are the basis of intelligent unmanned driving. Based on this, this paper uses artificial intelligence technology to study the path control and behavior decision-making of intelligent driverless trucks, and an improved tracking control method is proposed. Through this improved method, the intelligent unmanned vehicle can track the desired feasible path under different curvatures more accurately and stably. Finally, through the road test experiment of the intelligent unmanned vehicle experimental platform in the actual environment, the effectiveness of the scheme design and related algorithms of intelligent unmanned vehicle motion control in this paper is verified.

Abstract. Due to recent researches on traffic accidents with vulnerable road users (VRUs), several measures revealed a great opportunity of reduction. However, all measures applied so far failed to reduce the number of traffic accidents if there is no line-of-sight. Therefore, a transponder signal is utilized to make the VRU visible. The motor vehicle carries a mobile receiver for VRU detection and location. The receiver employs digital beam-forming for estimating the direction of arrival (DOA) with an antenna array for RF ISM band. A sequence of DOA estimations is used for location and motion estimation purposes.

This paper proposes an algorithm for the estimation of extreme intensity of traffic load on long-span bridges. Most Weigh-in-Motion technologies do not operate in congested conditions which are the governing cases for these bridges. In the absence of Weigh-in-Motion data on the bridge itself, a correlation between vehicle weights and their lengths is established here using a (free- flowing) Weigh-in-Motion database. Photographic images of congested traffic are modelled here for three bridges using weights estimated from lengths and one year of Weigh-in-Motion data. The actual weights are taken from the Weigh-in- Motion data, and the results are compared to test the method. The gaps between vehicles are firstly set to a constant value and later to Beta-distributed values according to vehicle type. The intensity of traffic load for all pictures is calculated and compared to the loads obtained from the recorded weights. A return period of 75-year is chosen to evaluate the extreme values of intensity. The probability that intensity of load is being exceeded is obtained using normal probability paper for both recorded and simulated weights. This study demonstrates the feasibility of the proposed concept of using lengths to estimate the extreme traffic load events with acceptable accuracy.

The drivers receive about 90% of the information through the vision. The road illumination is high important for vision at night. A certain level of illumination is required in order for the eyes to recognize an object. When the brightness of an object is lower than the brightness of the background, or when the brightness of an obstruction is higher than the background’s brightness, objects can be recognized by silhouette. The drivers fraught with the greatest difficulties when the road illumination changes sharply in the conditions of low light driving. Traffic accidents at night are an important issue. Although the traffic volume is low (15-20%), 41-50% of traffic accidents happen at night. For the last years more attention has been paid to transport issues that can change the cognitive and emotional state of drivers. Therefore, assessing the driver’s vision may be useful in identifying a safe or dan-gerous type of behavior on the road. Eye tracking is used to measure drivers' perception of road elements, as well as developing driving strategies and accidents preventing. During the eye fixing, the driver focuses on a specific object of road environment. The time of driver’s eye fixing may vary from 0.1 to 2.5 seconds, depending on the complexity of the road traffic and the driver's functional state. The article presents an approach to determine the driver’s attention indicators at the evening twilight on city streets. The method of recording points of regard using Pupil Labs glasses was used to attention indicators deter-mination. Experimental studies of drivers' attention indicators in the evening twilight conditions were carried out in different types of city streets. The study involved drivers aged 20 to 52 years. During the driver eye fixing, the level of illumination at the evening twilight was recorded simultaneously. When the light changes from 50 lx or less, the driver feels visual fatigue from the continuous state of road objects exploration. At the same time, the number of fixations is significantly reduced, since the driver spends more time recognizing and searching of traffic elements, pedestrians, etc. Keywords: driver, twilight conditions, road traffic, attention.

Monitoring System Traffic Violations In Traffic Light Uses SRF04 Sensor and Camera, Based Microcontroller ATmega8535 is a tool designed to facilitate the Traffic Police in a curb traffic in the area of Traffic Light. The purpose of making this tool is to minimize accidents that often happen because of many motorists who broke a red light while making the Traffic Police should not continue to maintain the traffic light area. This final report discusses the design and operation of mechanical sensor SRF04, the working principle of this device is when the red light circuit will be active, so when there is a vehicle across the finish line the red light sensor SRF04 which has been positioned on the line will send commands to the microcontroller then microcontroller instruct the camera to take pictures as much as 8 images with a gap of 1 second per 1 picture breach, the response time of the camera to the object get the average duration - mean and standard deviation of 10/19 milliseconds, and the response time of the sensor SRF04 object gets mean duration - average and a standard deviation of 43 milliseconds. The results obtained from this tool manufacture is to produce a tool that can monitor traffic automatically at traffic light.

In the past the traffic accident reconstruction was based in principle only on indirect methods that use accident marks and witness reports. These data were then used within backward reconstruction of event for determination of motion status of accident participants and expression of desirable quantities as are initial velocities, impact velocities, distances travelled or temporal conditions. These methods and their accuracy are dependent on the width of intervals of input quantities or on limited possibilities for motion synchronization between numerable participants of road traffic accidents. Existence of footage from CCTV cameras that captures traffic situations presents very valuable source of information about these accidents. The goal of the article is proposal of a volumetric kinetic mapping (VKM) method of accident reconstruction from CCTV footage. The method is based on synthesis of videoediting, videoanalysis and kinetic simulation using dedicated software for accident reconstruction. The method was furthermore validated for speed-time and distance-time variables by means of experimental test runs and by subsequent application of the method in the reconstruction of these tests using PC-Crash simulation software and two videoediting software packages. Results of the reconstructions of validation runs using VKM method were then verified by comparing them to the measured data from Corrsys Datron Microstar measuring system.

Motorcycle are movable objects that become public transportation needs. Motorcyclists include people from various backgrounds have experienced accidents. One of the causes of accidents is the speed. Motorcycle that has accident will fall and get injured. The need to know the cause of the accident requires investigation and analysis. Data needed to analyze traffic accidents such as vehicle operating speed and location of the accident. Required data can be obtained by utilizing infrared sensor as motorcycle speed sensor, gyroscope sensor for indicators of falling or not motorcycle and GPS to determine the coordinate points of movement motorcycle. This information is communicated using GSM module. The information is sent to the database and then displayed via Android application and the data log is stored on smartphone storage. Based on the results of tests carried out, it is known that accuracy of the speed sensor readings is 98.39% from 12 tests. The GPS test tool compared to Garmin GPS has an average difference of 3.14158 meters. The fall indicator can function properly when falls and the data can be viewed via Android application. The data is stored on smartphones and in firebase storage. The average delay test is 7,087 seconds.

Based on the platform of trolley equipment, this paper used a liquid containing gas as a sensor to establish a new testing method in order to simulate the mechanism of contre-coup injury during head decelerating impact. After pouring the liquid containing gas into the transparent skull model, the head model was sealed and fixed to the trolley. Then the trolley was trigged to impact the counterguard as the speed of 50km/h, the impacting course was recorded by a high-speed camera at the same time. Finally, the movement of the gas in the liquid during the impact was analyzed using the sequence pictures analyzing software as to ensure the area of negative pressure which appeared during the impact. The results showed that in the head decelerating impact the negative pressure can appear at the contre-coup site. This denoted that in the traffic accidents brain tissue of driver or passengers may suffer from tension injury at the contre-coup point. This paper provides a new equipment and method to research the biomechanical mechanism of contre-coup injury in traffic accidents which is helpful to understand the distribution of negative pressure in brain tissue during head decelerating impact.

Li-FI technology is transferring of data using Led’s in visible light spectrum. Basically Li-Fi is similar to that of Wi-Fi but this Li-Fi is 10 times faster than Wi-Fi, as Wi-Fi uses radio frequency which has some transmission limitation Li-Fi is very useful to replace such limitations. We can use this technology in many areas like hospitals air traffic control, vehicles and under water communications.in this Li-Fi technology we mainly use led’s as a transmitter which will send stream of data by toggling with a speed that can’t be identified by the human eye and photodiode as a receiver which converts light energy to electrical energy. Connecting vehicles can be obtained by replacing head and tail lamps of the vehicle with led’s and photodiode should be attached at both front and rear end of the vehicle go get the data from both leading and following vehicles. By transferring the data about the motion of vehicle through led’s we can reduce the collision of vehicles. This technology is also used to regulate the information about the traffic by replacing the street lights with led and transfer data about the traffic in that route for every vehicle that passes through.

Disturbances in the vehicle motion may be caused by different factors and in many cases are the reason for dangerous traffic incidents. Disturbances within the human-vehicle system are particularly hazardous. An innovative method was designed for analyzing and simulating the process of loss of vehicle motion stability after interference in the steering system, e.g. by acting on the steering wheel by the passenger. The subject of the study is the theoretical and experimental analysis of the vehicle motion path kinematics together with the duration of the disturbance, driver’s reaction time and steering wheel turning angles. PC-Crash simulation software was employed for the purpose of studying the disturbance characteristics and their influence on the loss of vehicle motion stability. It is recognized that the studied issues are as yet poorly understood, the presented results expand our knowledge base in this area and can be employed for the purpose of analysis of actual traffic accidents.

To reduce casualties and troubles due to earthquakes, Japan Meteorological Agency introduced earthquake early warning (EEW) to general public on 1 October 2007. However, the possibility that EEW induces traffic accidents exists because EEW through car radio may not be transmitted to all the expressway drivers. Hence, the effects of EEW were investigated based on driving simulator experiments. Two kinds of experiments were performed in this study. First, single driving simulator was employed to reveal the effects of EEW on expressways. The reactions of drivers with/without warning are compared in avoiding an obstacle induced by seismic motion. Second, three synchronized driving simulators, simulating three cars running together on an expressway, were employed. When EEW was transmitted to only one car, some drivers reduced speed suddenly, and accidents occurred in two cases out of 14 tests. These experiments show the necessity of public education how to react an EEW on expressways. Turning on the hazard lights after receiving an EEW and then reducing speed gradually is suggested to avoid traffic accidents.

The transfer of vehicle control to artificial intelligence can significantly reduce the number of road accidents. Pedestrians, bicyclists, and scooterists are Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs) in traffic accidents. The number of fatalities and injuries in traffic accidents involving vulnerable road users has been steadily increasing in the last two decades in the U.S., even though road vehicles now have perception sensors like cameras to detect risk and issue collision warnings or apply emergency braking. Perception sensors like cameras are highly affected by lighting and weather conditions. Cameras, radar, and lidar cannot detect vulnerable road users in partially occluded and occluded situations. This paper proposes the use of Vehicle-to-VRU communication to inform nearby vehicles of VRUs on trajectories with a potential collision risk. An Android smartphone app with low-energy Bluetooth (BLE) advertising is developed and used for this communication. The same app is also used to collect motion data of VRUs for training. VRU motion data are smoothed using a Kalman filter, and an LSTM neural network is used for future motion prediction. This information is used in an algorithm comparing Time-To-collision-Zone (TTZ) for the vehicle and VRU, and issues driver warnings with different severity levels. The warning severity level is based on the analysis of real data from a smart intersection for close vehicle and VRU interactions. The resulting driver warning system is demonstrated using proof-of-concept experiments. The method can easily be extended to a VRU collision-mitigation system.

Summary When using vehicles on the road, road users are exposed to accidents. The human factor contributes greatly to their occurrence. The article presents pilot studies on the state of knowledge of drivers referring to maintaining the necessary distance behind the preceding vehicle in road traffic. The state of knowledge governing applicable law in the field of distance between vehicles was also examined. They were carried out by a group of employees using road transport and students. Even with the new technical devices which determine distance, in addition to the lack of knowledge of drivers in the discussed area, dangers of hitting a preceding vehicle in extreme situations still exist. These are activities in the area of the active safety system in the operation of vehicles in road traffic. The conclusions indicate the need to conduct management training and to amend the provisions in the applicable road traffic law.

According to statistics, every year people lose 154 hours in traffic on average. 1.3 million people die in accidents. The system combines micro-mechanical and electrical technologies embedded system, wireless transmission, image processing, and solar module. The objectives of this study are: 1. Research and design new and multifunctional traffic controller in the box; 2. Design a cost-effective basis contribution to the communication network; 3. Use image processing methods of developing a detector of non-interfering means for control of traffic dynamics; 4. Using artificial intelligence adapt traffic dynamics and update traffic control strategies; 5. Propose a special concept for mobile intelligent traffic control Center. Smoking in driving not only reduces the accuracy of driving operation, but also leads to insufficient oxygen and higher possibility of traffic accident. Therefore, considering the safety of life and avoiding accidents as far as possible, a detection model based on deep learning which can quickly detect smoking driving behavior is designed. In this model, convolutional neural network is used to process the input frames of the video stream captured by the camera. After the shape feature extraction, fuzzy feature processing, motion feature detection and color feature region comparison, the smoking driving behavior can be judged. Through the design of a series of computer vision detection modules, not only can reduce the calculation of the model, but also improve the efficiency of deduction, so as to meet the performance requirements of real-time monitoring. In order to quickly find out the driver smoking behavior and trigger warning, so as to avoid unnecessary traffic accidents and ensure life safety.

Consequently, this paper focuses on comparing different motion models, acknowledging their role in the performance of maneuver classification. In particular, this paper proposes utilizing the Interacting Multiple Model framework complemented with constrained Kalman filtering in this domain that enables the comparisons of the different motions models’ accuracy. The performance of the proposed method with different motion models is thoroughly evaluated in a simulation environment, including an observer and observed vehicle.

This reflects the increase in residents’ income, but it also brings huge traffic pressure. In the long run, traffic congestion is not only detrimental to urban development, but frequent traffic accidents threaten residents’ travel safety. Effective monitoring methods are essential to solving these problems, so it is necessary to carry out research on intelligent video monitoring technology in intelligent transportation. The purpose of this article is to solve the current situation of excessive traffic pressure in the city. Through the study of intelligent video surveillance technology in intelligent traffic, the use of constrained least squares algorithm to remove motion blur and apply Kalan filtering to the sharpening process is used to eliminate noise ambiguity and make a brief introduction to various classic moving target detection methods to realize real-time monitoring of intelligent traffic conditions and continuously adjust and verify the monitoring situation, and then establish intelligent video in intelligent traffic monitoring technology research system. The research results show that this kind of intelligent video surveillance technology research in intelligent transportation can effectively increase the awareness of intelligent video surveillance technology and improve the level of intelligent video surveillance technology. The data measurement time has been shortened by one hour, the aggregation time has been changed from three hours to two hours, and the analysis time has been shortened by half. Eased urban traffic road pressure and greatly reduced the incidence of traffic accidents, which is conducive to socialist harmony social construction.

Twenty-five percent of traffic accidents involve rear-end collisions. One important factor that may contribute to such collisions is a driver's ability to detect the deceleration of a lead car. Prior studies of deceleration judgments involved passive viewing rather than active control of self motion. The primary purpose of this study was to measure effects of headway and deceleration rate on the detection of deceleration during (simulated) active control. We investigated whether the pattern of such effects was similar to those we reported previously for passive viewing. Consistent with our previous study, the current results indicated that, during active control, mean response time to detect deceleration was longer when headway was relatively far or when deceleration rate was relatively slow. The implication is that collision-avoidance warning systems may have to utilize different criteria for providing warnings under different traffic conditions.

The paper presents investigation methods which are aimed at increasing an accuracy in determination of parameters for movement of vehicles in the reconstruction process of road traffic accidents. The problems with a target to improve a method for calculation of vehicle movement speed and location coordinates at different time moments have been solved in the paper. In order to determine more accurately nature of vehicle damage and their location on carriageway, a laser scanning method has been applied which makes it possible to reduce an error while determining dimensions and distances, and to shorten time for an inspection of the road traffic accident place. The presence of a scanned image in three-dimensional form allows more accurately to simulate nature and angle concerning approach of vehicles prior to a collision. A methodological support for determination of vehicle movement parameters has been developed on the basis of the recorded data from driving video recorders (DVRs). It has been established that an error in measuring a speed of movement for vehicles will depend on quality of a video image, length of the investigated area and range of possible speeds. A relative error will be the higher, the smaller we have vehicle speed range and length of the investigated section. A mathematical model of vehicle speed change in a differential form has been compiled and solved in the paper. The model allows to calculate a speed of motion at different time moments with respect to recording from driving video recorders. In addition, the developed methodology permits more accurately to determine coordinates of vehicle location on a photoand video image. This is especially important while determining places of pedestrian-road accident or vehicle collision location of the collision or the place of collision with regard to the edge of carriageway. Unlike subjective research methods when initial data for carrying out auto-technical investigations are established by interviewing witnesses and the accused, the proposed methods make it possible to permit reconstruction of a road traffic accident exclusively by objective methods with the help of automated technical means.

Cervical spine injuries are a major concern for motorcyclists in traffic accidents and racing competitions. Neck braces aim to prevent cervical spine injuries during accidents by reducing the neck range of motion, and keeping it under physiological limits. This work aims to evaluate the ability of neck braces to reduce neck mobility for two driving postures associated with PTW configurations. The neck mobility of twelve volunteer subjects testing four neck braces on two powered two-wheelers (scooter and racing motorbike) is measured using an optoelectronic motion capture system. With the tested neck braces worn, neck mobility is significantly reduced as compared to the physiological range of motion in all degrees of freedom. However, only flexion/extension is reduced by all neck braces tested. This suggests that these brace designs do not provide protection against all the cervical spine loading directions that may occur in a trauma. Furthermore, specific type of each powered two-wheeler considered significantly affects the neck mobility in axial rotation, as well as the postero-anterior and caudo-cranial translations, thus underscoring the need to consider the driving posture when evaluating neck brace devices.

Abstract: A large amount of energy is wasted by the vehicles on roads when they apply heavy breaks on speed breakers. This happens due to friction and a high level of energy is produced. Energy can be extracted from the vehicles speed and weight. Another major issue is of major accidents caused by potholes on Indian roads. It is really important to identify these potholes and notify the driver about them to avoid these fatal accidents. Our project is an attempt to solve both these issues an effective, innovative and feasible manner. The domains in our project are energy generation/conservation and image processing. To generate electricity, we want a fast-moving face that can generate electricity. The reciprocating motion of the reducer is converted into rotational motion thanks to the rack and pinion device and a special system called the cylinder. We have developed a smart speed reducer that passes from both sides of the car and generates electricity from there. This system is assembled using all particle board and connecting rods. The system uses a high-speed machine that uses shafts, rollers and electric motors to generate electricity. The roller mechanism is used to return the reducer to its original position. It converts rotational motion into linear motion, but in some cases we use it to convert linear motion into rotational motion. The mechanism is economical and easy to install. With proper planning, we can generate a lot of electricity from traffic. Now let's briefly look at the meaning of the hole. Ultrasonic sensors are used to identify holes and bumps and measure their depth and height respectively. This helps people avoid fatal accidents. These two ideas together we solve two problems that people face. Therefore, this project preserves the essence of design thinking

This paper discusses the application of Eye Tracking (ET) technologies for researchers to understand a driver’s perception of signage at the highway work zone. Combining ET within a screen-based motion pictures and a driving simulator, the team developed an analytical method that allowed designers to evaluate signage design. Two experiments were set up to investigate how signage design might affect a driver’s visual attention and interaction under various environmental complexities and glare conditions. The study explores the visual perception related to several spatial features, including signage modality, scene complexity, and color schemes. The ET method utilizes total fixation time and time to first fixation data to evaluate the effectiveness of signage presented through screen-based video and a driving simulator.

The high flow of vessel traffic affects the difficulty of monitoring vessel in the middle of the sea because of limited human visibility, occurrence of vessel accidents at the sea and other illegal activities that illustrate abnormal vessel behaviour such as oil bunkering, piracy, illegal fishing and other crimes that will continue and will certainly have an impact on losses in several aspects. An existing system involves, Automatic Identification System (AIS) for short-range operation, Long-Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT), Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) are widely used automatic reporting systems for the ship/vessels. Further few classification algorithms like Bayesian, CNN and many other methods which does not permit to draw definite conclusions about the overall effectiveness of the identification procedure because of noise level. Automatic identification system (AIS) trajectory will collect data from multiple sensors that record dynamic and static ship information. Road monitoring helps to control the regional traffic situation so as to adjust the traffic flow. Real-time panorama is conducive to timely treat traffic accidents and to greatly improve traffic capacity. This paper designs a 3D road scene monitoring framework based on real-time panorama. The system is the combination of large scale panorama, satellite map textures, and 3D scene model, in which users can ramble freely. This paper has the following contributions. Firstly, land-points were extracted followed by motion detection, then comotion algorithm was applied to land-points from adjacent cameras, and homography matrix was constructed. Secondly, reference camera was chosen and transformed to overhead viewpoint; subsequently multiviews were morphed to the same viewpoint and stitched to panorama. Finally, the registration based on high-precision GPS information between 2D road panorama and 3D scene model was also proposed. The proposed framework has been successfully applied to a large road intersection monitoring. Experimental results are furnished at the end of the paper.

Recent growth in technology makes our life faster and easier. This development in technologies leads to enhance the traffic hazards. In this paper, Internet of Things based accident prevention and detection system is proposed to deduce accidents and save human life. The vehicle performance has been continuously monitored for safety purposes. This technique is annoying to maintain speed balance to avoid accident and provide safety to the driver. Hence, a novel approach is proposed to avoid accidents and save the victims while accidents occur. Sensors are exploited to give alarm 'ON' when distance between two vehicles is too short. If accident happens, then the camera is automatically turned on and captures the images around 180 degree angles. This emergency alert information including the location is transferred to nearest police station, ambulance service and relatives through GSM modem. The major component of the project includes a Arduino, motion sensor, touch sensors, relay and GSM modem.

The system, using multiple sources of external information, the mobile phone sensors’ readings, geolocated information, weather data, and historical evidence of traffic accidents, processes a plethora of parameters in order to predict the onset of an accident and act preventively. Serta terdapat 16% (2.546) korban kecelakaan lalu lintas usia 0-4 tahun. Tingginya kecelakaan lalu lintas terjadi karena masih rendahnya tingkat pengetahuan orang tua dalam aspek keselamatan berkendara. Sebagian besar orang tua siswa dalam mengantarkan maupun menjemput anaknya dari sekolah tidak menggunakan helm pada anaknya, karena orang tua beranggapan kewajiban penggunaan helm dan keselamatan berkendara lainnya hanya untuk orang dewasa. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan pentingnya safety riding (keselamatan berkendara) pada anak TK Mutiara DWP Indramayu. Dari hasil penyuluhan yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan tentang safety riding dari hasil pretest 72,3% meningkat menjadi 87,2% pada saat dilakukan post test. Metode yang diberikan yaitu berupa praktik cara penggunaan helm, mewarnai gambar safety riding dan menyanyikan lagu safety riding. Diperlukan adanya pengabdian lanjutan, khususnya mengenai safety riding bagi orang tua terutama untuk ibu-ibu. Perlu adanya kebijakan dan pengawasan dari pihak sekolah tentang pentingnya safety riding untuk anak, khususnya kewajiban pemakaian helm serta diberikannya materi khusus mengenai pentingnya safety riding bagi siswa TK. Abstract According to Indramayu police data in 2018, there were 107,968 traffic accidents, where 29,083 traffic accidents victims dead. The prevalence of victims of traffic accidents in children aged 0-4 years by 16% (2,546). The high rate of traffic accidents occurs due to the low level of parental knowledge in the aspect of safety riding. Most parents of students in delivering or picking up their children from school do not use helmets on their children, because parents think that the obligation to use helmets and other driving safety is only for adults. This community service aims to socialize the importance of safety riding to TK Mutiara DWP Indramayu children. From the results of the counseling that has been done, it is found that there is an increase in knowledge about safety riding from the results of the pretest 72.3% increased to 87.2% at the time of the post test. The method given is in the form of practicing how to use a helmet, coloring safety riding pictures and singing safety riding songs. Further dedication is needed, especially regarding safety riding for parents, especially for mothers. There needs to be a policy and supervision from the school regarding the importance of safety riding for children, especially the obligation to use helmets and the provision of special learning regarding the importance of safety riding for kindergarten students.

In this paper, efforts have been made to identify the location of accident black spots on national highway from singhpora pattan to panthachowk srinagar.The present era accidents are contributing major deaths worldwide due to increase in vehicular traffic.It has been estimated that every year 1.38 lakh lose their limbs and 6 lakh people get injured in road accidents in india.our country incurs a loss of 58000 crore each year due to road accidents. The most used roads to travel from jalandhar in punjab to uri in kashmir is NH-1A.The old name for NH-44 is NH-1A which was replaced after renumbering of all national highways in year 2010. In this report,the analysis includes study of some major accident spots or busy intersections in the NH-1A in between Pantha chowkh Srinagar to Singhpora Pattan.The study includes visiting sites,collecting required data for analysis and derives the results and remedies from what we had got. With the development and advancement of computer technology, the emergence of intelligent transportation provides a better way to solve the problem of effectively alleviating traffic pressure and reducing the incidence of traffic accidents. In recent years, intelligent traffic monitoring system, as one of the important branches in the field of intelligent transportation, has also received more and more attention. Among them, video-based moving target recognition technology involves theoretical knowledge in various fields such as artificial intelligence, image processing, pattern recognition and computer vision. It is an important means to realize “safe city” and “smart city” and a key technology for intelligent monitoring. Therefore, the research on human motion target recognition algorithm in complex traffic environment has important theoretical and practical value. In the field of intelligent traffic monitoring, the moving target detection and recognition effect of video images will have certain influence on the classification and behavior understanding of subsequent moving targets. In this paper, the commonly used moving target detection methods are studied first, and the convergence problem of the traditional Adaboost algorithm is improved. An Adaboost algorithm based on adaptive weight update is proposed, and then the support vector machine (SVM) is used. The algorithm identifies the detected moving target. Finally, through simulation experiments on the acquired video images, the results show that the proposed human motion target recognition algorithm based on adaptive weight update Adaboost and SVM has good feasibility and rationality.

With the continuous improvement of science and technology and living standards, cars have become a necessary means of transportation for people to travel, which is bound to be followed by traffic accidents, so it is particularly necessary to detect or identify cars. Aiming at the above problems, this paper focuses on the application of deep learning in vehicle recognition problems, and is committed to finding a vehicle recognition algorithm with high recognition rate and stability. This paper focuses on the analysis of SSD algorithm and its basic theory convolutional neural network. Finally, this paper uses the pictures of stationary vehicles and a film video respectively to identify the stationary and moving state of vehicles. In the process of image recognition, the rationality and accuracy of the proposed method are verified according to the accuracy rate given above the image.

An increase in the number of cars is higher than rates of transport infrastructure development, resulting in a reduction of cargo and passenger transportation efficiency in city conditions. Simulation of flow irregularity in time (peak hour) shows the key role of a car motion interval as a factor of overcoming accumulation at average speed reduction in conditions of highly loaded roads. To reduce the effective time of driver reaction, defining the least distance between cars, it is necessary to minimize the influence of human factors. Automation of the process (unmanned control) requires an effective exchange of navigation and route data between traffic participants. A summary of requirements for such an information exchange system defines the priority of the suggested communication and navigation system (CNS) on the base of radio broadcast communication. Its application gives an opportunity to rise simultaneously traffic safety and efficiency. An increase in neighbor driver action predictability leads to traffic safety ensuring. The exchange of data with traffic control centers (TCC) enables the centralization of motion regulation. A distributed network of transceiver stations forms a local positioning system based on trilateration principles. Algorithms of onboard positioning result verification and automatic resolution of communication conflicts ensure high reliability of CNS functioning. Refusal from point-to-point communication principles allows it to operate even in conditions of high car density up to several thousand per square kilometer. In cooperation with advanced technologies of traffic organization (formation of city highway grid and “total green wave” mode), CNS and TCC are capable of rising the average speed in city conditions higher than 45 km/hour. The aggregate economy of expense on last mile transportation because of the suggested innovations is to be at the level of several GDP percent due to a decrease in accidents and congestion even without accounting for social and ecological effects.

According to the World Health Organization global status report on road safety, traffic accidents are the eighth leading cause of death in the world, and nearly one-fifth of the traffic accidents were cause by driver distractions. Inspired by the famous two-stream convolutional neural network (CNN) model, we propose a driver behavior analysis system using one spatial stream ConvNet to extract the spatial features and one temporal stream ConvNet to capture the driver’s motion information. Instead of using three-dimensional (3D) ConvNet, which would suffer from large parameters and the lack of a pre-trained model, two-dimensional (2D) ConvNet is used to construct the spatial and temporal ConvNet streams, and they were pre-trained by the large-scale ImageNet. In addition, in order to integrate different modalities, the feature-level fusion methodology was applied, and a fusion network was designed to integrate the spatial and temporal features for further classification. Moreover, a self-compiled dataset of 10 actions in the vehicle was established. According to the experimental results, the proposed system can increase the accuracy rate by nearly 30% compared to the two-stream CNN model with a score-level fusion.

Abstract Vehicular queue length measurement is an important parameter to detect the traffic congestion, which is resulted from several issues such as traffic lights, accidents, and poor roads infrastructures. In this paper, a system in real-time is proposed to detect and measure the vehicular queue length at intersections. The proposed system consists of two main steps: the first step is the detection of queue by using frames differencing method to detect the motion in the target areas. If there is no a motion, then the second step is implemented to detect the vehicles in these areas by using Single Shot Multibox Detector (SSD) algorithm. If there are vehicles, that means the queue exists and the measurement process begins. Some modifications are applied on SSD algorithm to fit with in our system and to improve the accuracy of the vehicle detection process. The system is applied on videos obtained by stationary cameras. The experiments demonstrate that this system is able to accurately detect and measure the vehicular queue length.

Driver disability has become an increasing factor leading to traffic accidents, especially for commercial vehicle drivers who endure high mental and physical pressure because of long periods of work. Once driver disability occurs, e.g., heart disease or heat stroke, the loss of driving control may lead to serious traffic incidents and public damage. This paper proposes a novel driving intervention system for autonomous danger avoidance under driver disability conditions, including a quantitative risk assessment module named the Emergency Safety Field (ESF) and a motion-planning module. The ESF considers three factors affecting hedging behavior: road boundaries, obstacles, and target position. In the field-based framework, each factor is modeled as an individual risk source generating repulsive or attractive force fields. Individual risk distributions are regionally weighted and merged into one unified emergency safety field denoting the level of danger to the ego vehicle. With risk evaluation, a path–velocity-coupled motion planning module was designed to generate a safe and smooth trajectory to pull the vehicle over. The results of our experiments show that the proposed algorithms have obvious advantages in success rate, efficiency, stability, and safety compared with the traditional method. Validation on multiple simulation and real-world platforms proves the feasibility and adaptivity of the module in traffic scenarios.

The main tendencies in developing the methods of evaluating vehicles movement according to registrars when conducting automotive research of road accidents are considered. It is noted that modern video recorders, in addition to the standard recording of events in the form of video, have additional functions of recording the parameters of traffic, which allows more objective and in-depth investigation of the circumstances of road accidents. Goal. The aim of the work is development of the method of obtaining quantitative data that allow to estimate the parameters of vehicle movement on video recordings made with the help of DVR MiVue-j85. Methodology. Theoretical data of the functionality of the MiVue-j85 video recorder were verified and analyzed during the real experiment. The study includes an analysis of quantitative data to assess the parameters of vehicle movement on video recordings made using a video recorder MiVue-j85. Results. It is noted that this method currently has a number of disadvantages, which are the imperfect system of synchronization, display and recording of the received data using software designed for the DVR. The presence of integrated in the DVR GPS-navigation and G-sensor, make it possible to determine the parameters of the vehicle and the coordinates of the location of the vehicle in the process of changing its dynamics, but with a significant error that does not meet the requirements of accident research. Originality. For the first time, the method of obtaining vehicle motion parameters using a video recorder with a built-in G-sensor is shown. Practical value. The obtained results can be used in practice in the study of the circumstances of the accident. Application of the certain method will allow facilitating the process of reception of initial data, namely the parameters of vehicle movement when studying road accidents.

The steady rise in the number of vehicles in modern urban areas and poor conformance to traffic laws (or rules) lead to avoidable commute delays and traffic jams. Also, there is an increased likelihood of road accidents requiring immediate medical attention. Emergency vehicle (EV) service is adversely affected due to the unavailability of the clear lane that supports EVs to get to their endpoint without being delayed along the national highways. Moreover, the EV’s sirens have a limited range, which may fail to reach and notify other vehicular traffic about its mobility promptly. In addition to this range constraint, EVs in motion often lose their communication links while moving from network to network. This paper delineates an approach using the next generation mobile internet protocol, for automated pathway clearance, for EVs. The prototype model of the proposed approach was experimentally designed and implemented. The proposed design concept is validated by performance characterization via numerical analysis.

The social and political efforts to fight climate change have contributed to a re-thinking of traffic systems, especially in urban areas under constant transformation. To simulate and visualize planning scenarios of urban traffic systems in a realistic way, the possibilities of virtual 3D environments have regularly been used. The modern potentials of (immersive) virtual reality, however, still require exploration, evaluation, and further development. Using the game engine Unity, an immersive virtual environment was developed to visualize and experience dynamic traffic conditions of a highly dense urban area. The case study is based on the characteristic model of a Central European city (not a representation of a real city), which brings together the specific considerations of urban traffic, such as mirroring the complex interplay of pedestrians as well as individual and public transport. This contribution has an applied methodological focus and considers possibilities as well as difficulties in the design of a reliably running (open-end) traffic system. The applied tool for the creation of a modular and customizable traffic system in Unity resulted in a traffic system that is capable of reacting to the individual behavior of the user (including the individualized motion of the avatar), without leading to accidents or uncorrectable traffic jams. Therefore, the tool used could be a valuable option for any developer of immersive virtual environments in Unity to equip these immersive virtual environments with a traffic system, without the use of additional third-party software.

The article is devoted to the development of technologies for modeling integration processes that synergistically affect the level of road safety of vehicles in terms of risk and uncertainty of non-stationary environmental factors. The mathematical description of the given sphere and information space of interaction of road users in the zones of the greatest probability of commission of road accidents is formalized that is shown by statistics of supervision. The essence, peculiarity and specificity of situational modes of dynamic, continuous interaction between road users, drivers and environmental factors in the space-time discrete cells of the electronic map of the critical zone on the basis of the frequency of previous accidents are substantiated. Analytical means of formation of transversal trajectories of safe movement without accidents and catastrophes are offered, which are guaranteed by the corresponding on-board information controlled complexes (BICC) of vehicles. Active targeted management within the system of navigation and control of mobile objects is implemented with a bias on the criteria to increase the level of road safety directly in the current critical area of the road network. A method of discrete dynamic programming of processes of synthesis and realization of controlled motion on a guaranteed safe transverse trajectory has been developed, which is locally applied only situationally within the transient mode of evasion from approach to threats with shock contacts. The technology of parameterization of predicted mutual maneuvering functions in the conditions of individual restrictions on the local space-time zone of own motion for a pair of vehicles that are really close to each other is formalized. BICC information and analytical tools ensure the reliability of estimates of the interval of endurance according to the prejudiced piecewise continuous transverse curve, which also provides local points of avoidance of collisions or the passage of forbidden local microzones. The only methods of modeling different vehicles by each BICC actively synthesize paired microphase spatial divisions of their own trajectories, which, due to the presence of risks, record the absence of traffic accidents with loss of safety within nonstationary flows due to the coordinated multiple heterogeneous interaction under similar conditions of field approximations. All over the world, the vehicles introduced now into the market are usually provided with EDRs (Event Data Recorders), intended to measure and record the parameters that characterise the vehicle motion in the pre-, during-, and post-accident phases. The EDRs are to facilitate the description and reconstruction of possible road accidents. They are patterned on aircraft “black boxes” (flight recorders). Many of them have simplified design, disregarding three (of six) vector components that describe the motion of the vehicle body solid. In the paper presented, the authors used simulation models built by themselves to represent motor vehicle dynamics and the reconstruction of vehicle trajectory and velocities based on records obtained from two EDR types: “aircraft” one (EDR1) and “simplified” one (EDR2). Using a simulation method, they examined the impact of the said simplifications mentioned above on the quality of reconstruction of vehicle motion for four typical manoeuvres in road traffic. The calculation results obtained for input data adopted to rep-resent a medium-class passenger car have shown that the simplifications may cause considerable reconstruction errors. This particularly applies to the manoeuvres where significant changes took place in the roll and pitch angles of the vehicle body solid (to which the EDR was fixed) or where the changes were characterised by absence of symmetry in the parameters that describe the manoeuvre and by the constant sign of the vehicle body roll angles.

Abstract Vehicles involved in traffic accidents generally experience divergent vehicle motion, which causes severe damage. This paper presents a self-learning drift-control method for the purpose of stabilizing a vehicle's yaw motions after a high-speed rear-end collision. The struck vehicle generally experiences substantial drifting and/or spinning after the collision, which is beyond the handling limit and difficult to control. Drift control of the struck vehicle along the original lane was investigated. The rear-end collision was treated as a set of impact forces, and the three-dimensional non-linear dynamic responses of the vehicle were considered in the drift control. A multi-layer perception neural network was trained as a deterministic control policy using the actor-critic reinforcement learning framework. The control policy was iteratively updated, initiating from a random parameterized policy. The results show that the self-learning controller gained the ability to eliminate unstable vehicle motion after data-driven training of about 60,000 iterations. The controlled struck vehicle was also able to drift back to its original lane in a variety of rear-end collision scenarios, which could significantly reduce the risk of a second collision in traffic.

Introduction and Importance: Inferior dislocation of the hip is the rarest type of hip dislocation, mainly occurring from high-energy incidents, mostly from road traffic accidents or sports. It is generally an injury among adults. Case presentation: A 17-year-old male sustained injuries as a pedestrian, and a 30-year-old male sustained a traffic accident as a motorcycle rider. Both patients complained of severe pain in the hip, decreasing range of motion, and the inability to weight bearing. In both, the affected hip joint was fixed in 90° flexion, abduction, and external rotation, and the leg was slightly shorter than the other limb. An X-ray showed the inferior dislocation of the right hip and left hip, respectively, without any sign of fracture. We reduced both dislocations closely after sedation without any complications during follow-ups. Conclusion: This injury should be treated as an emergency, and reduction performed as soon as possible, within 6 h. It can be managed usually with closed reduction under general anesthesia. Close follow-up is necessary to prevent its complications, including avascular necrosis, associated fractures, neurovascular compromise, and articular cartilage injuries.
