Two new series of thiazole and formazan linked to 5-Bromo-indan were synthesized, and their structures were assured based on all possible analytical techniques. The size of the tested derivatives was calculated from the XRD technique and found five derivatives 3, 10a, 14a, 15, and 16 on the nanosized scale. The two series were tested for their efficacy and toxicity as anti-colon and stomach cancers. Derivative 10d showed activity more than the two reference drugs used in the case of SNU-16. Surpislly, in the case of COLO205, five derivatives 4, 6c, 6d, 6e, and 10a are better than the two benchmarks used, and two derivatives, 14a and 14b more potent than cisplatin. All potent derivatives showed a strong fit with the active site of the two tested proteins (gastric cancer (PDB = 2BID) and colon cancer (PDB = 2A4L)) in the molecular docking study. The Pharmacophore and ADME studies of the new derivatives showed that most derivatives revealed promising bioactivity, which indicates the drug-likeness properties against kinase inhibitors, protease, and enzyme inhibitors. In addition, the ProTox-II showed that the four compounds 10d, 16, 6d, and 10a are predicted to have oral LD50 values ranging from 335 to 3500 mg/kg in a rat model with (1 s,4 s)-Eucalyptol bearing the highest values and quercetin holding the lowest one.

Thephysical symptoms of ageing is perceived by Maksimović with surpise, by Bagriana with understanding and by Kozioł with rebellion. The authors’ state of mind differs from protest and frustration Kozioł and Bagriana to apeaceful surrender connected with understanding of what was meant to come. Each of the authors, regardless of all the differences between them, is able to be fruitful in their writing till their old age and is aware of what she has accomplished poetically, which makes the lives of all the three authors full of sense to them.Песничка расматрања о старости женском руком записана. Десанка — Уршула — Елисавета Три велике песникиње: Елисавета Багрјана, Десанка Максимовић и Уршула Козјол у касним годинама живота искрено описују своје доживљавање старости. Физичке недо­статке гледају са изненађењем Максимовић, разумевањем Багрјана али такође са проте­стом и иронијом Козјол. Расположење се колеба између бунта и горчине Козјол, Багрјана и помирења са судбином, свешћу неминовне пролазности. Contemporary models of the financial theory support the proposition that the stock prices should be fundamentally a reflection of the discounted value of earnings. Accordingly the investors and analysts should base their expectations on the expected future cash flows that are logically correlated or have a carry over effect vis-ŕ-vis present stream of cash flows. This logically implies that the managers would have an incentive to manipulate investor’s expectation of future cash flows. The zeal to maximize the firm’s value based on market capitalization is expected to have a detrimental effect on the investment decisions leading to sub optimality. Given the imperfect information structure and market pressures, the Indian firms suffer from mispricing and as such the conventional robust theoretical models of agency conflicts cannot be refuted. This motivates us to examine the interrelation ship between the concerns for valuation and investment sensitivity. We use a sample statistics of selected listed firms that represent the CNX Nifty Index and test for the dependence of the investment behavior of the firm, on the sensitivity of the firms’ share prices to its current cash flow represented by surprise earings. We use the earnings response coefficient (ERC) framework proposed by Ball and Brown (1968) for 11 key industries in India. We find that the surpise in accounting earnings announcements is negatively associated with abnormal stock returns and the investment decisions taken by the firms are negatively sensitive to changes in investment opportunities.

Cette thèse s'inscrit dans le domaine du traitement automatique de la langue, elle concerne plus particulièrement la prédiction de la structure syntaxico morphologique des phrases.Il s'agit donc, à partir d'un texte, de découper ce dernier en phrases puis en mots et d'associer aux mots une partie de discours et des traits morphologiques puis de relier les mots pour expliciter la structure syntaxique.La thèse propose un modèle de prédiction qui permet de réaliser ces tâches simultanément et de manière incrémentale : le texte est lu caractère par caractère et l'intégralité des prédictions linguistiques sont mises à jour par l'information apportée par chaque nouveau caractère.La raison pour laquelle nous avons exploré cette architecture est la volonté de s'inspirer de la lecture humaine qui impose ces deux contraintes.D'un point de vue expérimental, nous calculons la corrélation entre des variables oculométriques mesurées sur des sujets humains et des mesures de complexité propre à notre modèle.De plus, nous proposons un mécanisme de retour arrière, inspiré des saccades régressives observées chez l'humain. Pour cela, nous utilisons l'apprentissage par renforcement, qui permet au modèle d'effectuer des retours arrières lorsqu'il se trouve dans une impasse
This thesis is about natural language processing, and more specifically concerns the prediction of the syntactic-morphological structure of sentences.This is the matter of segmenting a text into sentences and then into words and associating to each word a part of speech and morphological features and then linking the words to make the syntactic structure explicit.The thesis proposes a predictive model that performs these tasks simultaneously and in an incremental fashion: the text is read character by character and the entire linguistic predictions are updated by the information brought by each new character.The reason why we have explored this architecture is the will to be inspired by human reading which imposes these two constraints.From an experimental point of view, we compute the correlation between eye-tracking variables measured on human subjects and complexity metrics specific to our model.Moreover, we propose a backtracking mechanism, inspired by the regressive saccades observed in humans. To this end, we use reinforcement learning, which allows the model to perform backtracking when it reaches a dead end

Post earnings announcement drift (PEAD) is defined as the drift that occurs in a company’s share priceafter their earnings announcement. A company that reports earnings above (below) the analysts’expectations should, according to previous studies of PEAD, continue to drift upwards (downwards)after the announcement. (Ball & Brown, 1968) The thesis purpose is to investigate if PEAD existed onthe Swedish market between 2006-2010. We test PEAD’s existences through; (i) creating portfolios inwhich companies’ abnormal return (AR) we expect to decline or increase, (ii) doing a multiple regressionanalysis to test if the drift is statistically significant. From the results of our study, we can neither acceptnor reject the hypothesis that PEAD existed on the Swedish market, although the multiple regressionanalysis prove a statistically significant result for companies’ AR that we expect to decline have drifted3,11% in a negative direction compared to our total sample.
