Streszczenie:
In this paper we consider the idea of negotiations conducted by means of the software support tools. We present the advantages of the negotiation support systems discussing their different functions and typologies focusing later on the possibilities of decision support they can give to the negotiating parties in all negotiation phases. After presenting the most popular solutions we introduce also two of our own procedures that can be applied in the pre‐negotiation phase for eliciting negotiators’ preferences and building the offers’ scoring systems for the parties. The first one is based on the Hammond, Keeney and Raiffa's procedure of even swaps, while the second derives from the Roy's ELECTRE‐TRI. Both of them can be easily applied as the analytic engines in electronic negotiation systems replacing the classical additive scoring systems. We discuss also the issue of using different scoring systems in the successive negotiation phases.

Streszczenie:
Aim/Purpose: The study aimed to investigate the influence of technology support, social support, academic support, and service support on student satisfaction and their relationships in private and state universities. Background: Coherent support between students, teachers, and management is usually extended beyond classroom scheduling and space. This support has a positive significant influence on student satisfaction, which may influence students’ academic, behavioral, emotional and social development. This support is assisted via technology, social, academic, and instant service support, which may have an impact on its nature. Methodology: In the current study, a cross-sectional survey was used to collect the research data. Convenience sampling was used to select the participants for the study. It targeted a population sampled from engineering students from both private and state universities of central India (n=240). In quantitative data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics were used. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS. Contribution: The present study expands the growing body of knowledge about student satisfaction via technology, social, academic, and service support. We identify the unique aspects of factors that are positively related to student satisfaction, which shed light on student satisfaction. Findings from this study may assist educators (while in training and/or professional development programs) to reflect upon their educational strategies to enhance the level of satisfaction among the students and to check how their students can benefit from the support system in the institution. Findings: The results indicated that the institutional support dimensions –technology support, academic support, social support, and service support –are positively significantly related to student satisfaction in both state and private universities. Recommendations for Practitioners: As a result of the study, it is recommended to university policymakers and administrations to provide and emphasize the importance of institutional support. In addition, it is recommended to provide students with knowledge that focuses on technology, academic, social, and other related service support. Doing so can provide valuable insight into students’ level of satisfaction enhancement with institutional support. Recommendation for Researchers: As a result of the study, it is recommended to university policymakers and administrations to provide and emphasize the importance of institutional support. In addition, it is recommended to provide students with knowledge that focuses on technology, academic, social, and other related service support. Doing so can provide valuable insight into students’ level of satisfaction enhancement with institutional support. Impact on Society: This paper is a broad overview using a survey, so future research should focus on a more detailed analysis of the consequence of student satisfaction, possibly using controlled experiments. In addition, qualitative exploration is advisable, as it may shed more light on the unique aspects of factors that are related to student satisfaction. Future Research: This paper is a broad overview using a survey, so future research should focus on a more detailed analysis of the consequence of student satisfaction, possibly using controlled experiments. In addition, qualitative exploration is advisable, as it may shed more light on the unique aspects of factors that are related to student satisfaction.

Streszczenie:
The Child Support Act 1991 has been a highly controversial piece of legislation. While much of the public consternation has quietened, questions should still be asked about the scheme. To what extent are children and caregivers gaining anything substantial? Given the State's vested interest in recouping for itself some of the cost of social security benefits, whom does child support really support? The authors note the dearth of research on the effectiveness of the scheme in achieving its goals. This article also discusses the narrow views of parental and financial responsibility enshrined in the Act and reinforced by unduly restrictive Court of Appeal rulings.

This article describes the conditions for improving the organization of independent work of students content and a set of special factors of the educational process, the presence of which in the process of independent activity especially affects the state of students, as well as the results of their productivity. One of these factors, as we have previously noted, may be didactic conditions, as based on all of the above, we can recommend some forms of self-education of students in the study of English at non-linguistic faculties.

Streszczenie:
Support for U.S. military personnel appears high, but does it extend to veterans after service ends? This study evaluates public support for social engagement with veterans and spending on recent military veterans’ health care and estimates the extent of socially desirable reporting on these forms of support. It uses a list experiment to identify the extent of socially desirable reporting on topics. Findings demonstrate that the public offers overwhelming support for spending on veterans’ health care and social engagement with the group, but they somewhat overstate this support. Support differs by age, race, and political ideology, and social desirability bias varies by race, political ideology, and prior military experience. African Americans express the lowest levels of support for returning veterans and the greatest extent of socially desirable reporting on that support. This is despite generally high rates of service and greater labor market returns to that service among this demographic group.

Streszczenie:
READING PROFESSOR INOGUCHI'S SPLENDIDLY COMPREHENSIVE and suggestive account of Japan's external policies as modes of coping with/balancing/sustaining interdependence, I was irresistibly reminded of a phrase I learned in 1950 at the first meeting I attended of our local Tokyo neighbourhood council — the committee of the 300-household precinct where I lodged. I think the issue was the smoke coming out of the chimney of our one and only factory. We did not know then about NOx and SOx, but it ruined the housewives' washing when the wind was in the wrong place, and that was bad enough. In a circumspect speech which reminded us that the factory owner was, also, far and away the largest contributor to the annual shrine festival, a particularly articulate ex-leader of the Imperial Rule Assistance Association preached a little homily on the principle of neighbourliness in a country of densely-packed, cheek-by-jowl communities. Mochitsu motaretsu was his key phrase; the slightly archaic grammar gave it a somewhat venerable weight; support and be supported. And it did not just mean ‘support in order to be supported’. It meant also: ‘don't be deterred from accepting support by a sense of the irksome constraints of dependence. We are all dependent on the community; others too, as much as you. Accept it. It is the community which is your security, not just the indebtedness, or the goodwill, of individual others.’
