Streszczenie:
Mathematics is mostly related to human life, thus, humans are required to have the mathematical understanding ability in solving life problems since in the elementary school age. Therefore, mathematics learning at school should have relevance value to construct mathematical concept that can be used in real life. Innovative mathematics learning through Contextual Learning (CTL) model based on Sundanese Culture Ethnomathematics as a local wisdom at which humans use mathematics in their real life, was chosen as a deep solution to increase the mathematical understanding ability, because students live in their culture and society. This study employsan experimental method by conducting pretest and postest control group design. The purpose of this study is to determine the increasing of students’ mathematical understanding ability on experiment class (using CTL model based on Sundanese Ethnomathematics) and control class (using conventional learning model). The result of this study produced conclusion that CTL based on Sundanese ethnomahtematics and conventional model can increasethe mathematical understanding ability significantly. However, the application of CTL model based on Sundanese Ethnomathematics was significantly better than conventional model (62.29%) to increase students’ mathematical understanding ability on learning the basic concepts of rectangular geometry for 4th grade students of elementary school.

The escalating use of English as a primary mode of communication in Bandung City is impacting the younger generation's interest in learning and using the Sundanese language. This quantitative study investigates the correlation between English and Sundanese language usage among 100 respondents aged 12-21, employing correlation and simple linear regression tests. Results indicate a negative influence of English on Sundanese usage, with higher English usage correlating with lower Sundanese use (correlation coefficient: -0.622, English's effect on Sundanese: 59.5%). The decline in Sundanese usage is attributed to environmental factors, education, and peer interactions. Recommendations include promoting Sundanese among Generation Z to preserve the language.

This research focuses on a comprehensive comparison of phonemes between Sundanese and Indonesian languages. The analysis employs content analysis to delineate the intricate differences between the two languages. Sundanese, as revealed in the study, comprises seven vowel phonemes, whereas Indonesian has five primary vowels. Vowel classification in both languages involves lip position, tongue's front-back movement, and tongue height during pronunciation. Sundanese has 18 consonant phonemes, while Indonesian possesses 21 consonant phonemes. Interestingly, despite Sundanese having 29 vowels, some are unable to occur consecutively with other vowels. Conversely, in Indonesian, words with diphthongs, i.e., a sequence of two vowels in one syllable, are considered separate cases. Another significant difference is the presence of an additional phoneme in Sundanese, namely /é/, which is absent in Indonesian. The existence of this phoneme adds complexity to Sundanese phonological patterns. Additionally, noticeable differences in consonant phonemes exist, with Sundanese having only 18, while Indonesian has 21, creating intriguing phonetic diversity between the two languages.

Streszczenie:
The difficulty of comprehending a mathematical concept is one of the challenges students experience when learning mathematics. The primary contributor is learning methods that do not connect mathematics with real-world situations and cultural backgrounds. Culture can serve as a bridge between students' backgrounds and their mathematical learning. Sundanese Ethnomathematics is the study of the relationship between mathematics and Sundanese culture. The objective of Sundanese Ethnomathematics Learning is to enhance students' mathematical comprehension. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a Non-equivalent control group design. The object of research comprised two classes, including the experimental class with Sundanese Ethnomathematics Learning and the control class with instructors or without Sundanese Ethnomathematics Learning. The t-test results demonstrated that a significance value of 0.001 was less than 0.05. thus, H0 was rejected implying that there was a difference. The gain test revealed that the experimental class had moderate and high gains and that the student’s views towards Sundanese Ethnomathematics Learning exhibited a positive trend. This indicates that Sundanese Ethnomathematics Learning effective students' mathematical comprehension.

Elementary pupils who used to be multilingual speakers began to change into monolingual. Giving Indonesian language as a language of unity to the elementary students does not mean hoping regional languages to become extinct, especially with the Sundanese language which is the top five in the number of speakers in Indonesia. Therefore, the researchers conducted research in several schools in Bogor with the aim of 1) knowing the level of institutional and government support in maintaining the use of Sundanese language in Bogor; 2) knowing the implementation of Sundanese language learning in Bogor; 3) knowing the process of multilingual learning. A quantitative method was used by distributing questionnaires to several primary schools in Bogor with a total of 47 teachers and doing observations of elementary students. Findings indicate that negative attitudes toward the Sundanese language are shown by elementary students with occasional use of Sundanese language in interacting with their friends. Institutions and governments are less supportive by not requiring each elementary to have a special Sundanese-speaking day school within a week and not allowing teachers to improve their abilities. The ability of Sundanese language teachers in elementary schools in Bogor is still low in scientific writing using Sundanese language. Keywords: Sundanese language, language maintenance, multilingual learningPOTRET PELESTARIAN BAHASA SUNDA DALAM PENBELAJARAN MULTI-BAHASA DI BOGORAbstrak Siswa sekolah dasar yang dulunya bermulti-bahasa sudah mulai berbahasa tunggal.
