Streszczenie:
The purpose of this study is to determine university students' perceptions of their time management skills. The research sample is composed of 384 undergraduate students studying in state universities located in various Turkish cities during the 2016-2017 academic year. The Time Management Questionnaire (TMQ) was used in the collection of the data, which was developed by Britton and Tesser (1991) and adapted to Turkish by Alay and Koçak (2002). It was found that students rated their time management skills as being at the "medium-level". In addition, it was concluded that there was no significant gender-related difference in their perceptions of their skill level in time management. While their perceptions of "time-attitudes" and "time-wasters" differed by gender, no such difference was found regarding their perceptions of "time planning". The study included only state university students as the research group. Similar studies regarding time management skills can be conducted with students or educators in different types of educational settings and levels of education. Furthermore, this study analyzed student perceptions of their own time management skills only by the gender variable. However, their perception of these skills can also be analyzed by other demographic variables such as socio-economic status, age, and department of study.

Streszczenie:
Research at the University of New South Wales with Defence Force Academy students found timemanagement skills significantly improve the academic results of male students but not female students when controlling for the usual effect of prior academic ability. While much previous research has revealed a positive link between time management and academic results within civilian environments, there is a lack of research on this link in dual-military or employment and academic settings. Our research also extends on many national and international studies’ by researching the efficacy of a direct training intervention in time-management skills. The study is unique in evaluating the size of the likely effect on academic results. This study used a mixed-methods evaluation design and a standardised questionnaire to compare two groups of 70 first-year undergraduate students. The experimental group were taught time-management skills in a workshop setting, while a control group did not attend time-management workshops. While the time-management workshop interventions did not improve the academic performance of female students, female students did benefit comparably to males in fewer subject failings and improved attitudes towards time-management attributes. The findings confirm an effect between time-management skills and academic success that offers substantial savings from fewer lost students. Recommendations are made to improve time-management skills and academic performance for all transitioning university students and examine if this significant effect translates to other initial training employment.

Attitude to time management in modern literature becomes more and more topical. According to (Orlikowsky and Yates 2002), increased competition causes the necessity of effective utilization of time. The part of free time in time budget of employed Master’s degree students becomes smaller, and the importance of free time is almost disregarded. (Garhammer M. 2002) supposes that short period of time includes such types of activities, which have direct impact on energy restoration of Master’s degree students. We can’t completely share the opinion of Marquis and Huston (2009), who think that only event management and not time management is possible in life, and we consider that proper use of time resource causes formation of self-management culture CITATION KharadzeGulua \l 1033 (Kharadze N. Gulua E., 2016) Our article deals exactly with mentioned issues. Research was organized by Human Potential Management Laboratory (HPML) of TSU. Research was carried out in 5 leading universities of Georgia: Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Georgian Technical University, Gori State University, Telavi State University and Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University. Research was referred only to Master’s degree students. Number of respondents amounted to 523. The questionnaire included 37 questions and 117 versions of answers. We laid an emphasis on that part of time budget, which doesn’t represent the part of working time, in particular the time allotted for everyday rest, part of activities scheduled on Saturday and Sunday, time spent in social networks, personal hygiene, transportation, sport, physical activities, time devoted to sleep and nutrition. Research showed that in time budget of employed Master’s degree students less attention is paid to free-time management that is the basis of increase of stress situations. Thus, conflict situation management among Master’s degree students became the subject of consequent research of our laboratory. Except for employment or teaching activities, one has to devote certain time to personal life. Psychological or physical health predetermines better accomplishment of intended objectives. Proceeding from peculiarities of free-time management the recommendations were elaborated, which requires: development of self-management abilities, implementation of changes at organization level and amendments in the Law on Education System. In-depth study of time budget of Master’s degree students is topical, since exactly these youngsters are potential labor resource of our country. Availability of healthy labor resources, in its turn, predetermines the potential of long-term development of organization and country as a whole.

In recent decades, the increase in stress levels of university students has been seen as a serious threat. Due to this problem, the present investigation has been focused on studying how time management is linked to academic stress in university students. This research study of a basic/substantive non-experimental type and correlational level has been developed under a quantitative approach with a cross section. The sample consisted of 328 students of both genders, selected from a public university in the city of Lima. Two standardized tools were adapted for data collection. Two questionnaires were also applied: time management and academic stress. The results showed that there was an inverse correlation between time management and academic stress (Spearman's Rho = .413), as well as for the dimensions of academic stress: stressors (- .405), symptoms (-, 387) and coping (, 286). It was concluded that the inverse relationships between the parameters studied will be reflected in the values obtained. Furthermore, possible measures to mitigate the casuistry around academic stress are also discussed.

Time management practices allow users to meet their needs and pursue their goals within set deadlines. At university, time management is an important factor in promoting academic adaptation and good mental health. This article is based on a time management workshop for higher education students conducted over two years. A total of 17 students from public (n = 14) and private (n = 3) universities participated in the workshop, with a mean age of 28.4 years (SD = 15.3), of whom 14 were women. A Descending Hierarchical Classification (CHD) was employed using the software Iramuteq to analyze the participants’ conceptions about different time management strategies (both previously adopted and newly acquired), the difficulties involved in using them, and the lack of opportunities to implement them. The results revealed difficulties in relation to meeting deadlines for academic tasks, avoiding distractions, procrastination and maintaining study-life balance. The findings highlight the importance of providing students with spaces to accommodate their time management needs during their time at university.

Streszczenie:
Effective time management is associated with greater academic performance and lower levels of anxiety in students; however many students find it hard to find a balance between their studies and their day-to-day lives. This article examines the self-reported time management behaviors of undergraduate engineering students using the Time Management Behavior Scale. Correlation analysis, regression analysis, and model reduction are used to attempt to determine which aspects of time management the students practiced, which time management behaviors were more strongly associated with higher grades within the program, and whether or not those students who self-identified with specific time management behaviors achieved better grades in the program. It was found that students’ perceived control of time was the factor that correlated significantly with cumulative grade point average. On average, it was found that time management behaviors were not significantly different across gender, age, entry qualification, and time already spent in the program.

Streszczenie:
Time Management is a set of principles, practices, skill, tool and systems that work together to help us to get more value out of our his/her time with the aim of improving the quality of our life. The most appropriate word which suites Time Management is self-management which helps us to keep stress to a maximum. Time is the scarcest resource and unless its management decides the success or the failure of an activity. Effective Time Management necessitates a sense of balance. Either extreme along the Time Management skill continuum can be problematic. On one hand, perfect Time Management skill do not make one a perfect student or employee. It is possible to excess time, such that one is so wrapped up in the minutiae that meaningful tasks are not accomplished. On the other hand, poor Time Management skill do not make one a stooge. Some brilliant peoples habitually are ‘a day late and a dollar short’. The main reason for managing time is just provide structure to one’s life and in turn, peace of mind. Managing time is just something one does for one’s own psyche, to make one’s days easier. It is important for a student to have effective strategies to manage his time to balance the conflicting demands of time for the study. Time Management skills are valuable for doing revision for examinations. Sometimes it may seem that there is not enough time to do everything that we need to. This can lead to a buildup of stress. When revising for examinations or during our final year when we have to combine the pressures of intensive study with finding time to apply for our task good management of our time can be particularly important. Once we have identification ways in which we can improve the management of our time, we can begin to adjust our routines and patterns of behaviour to reduce any time-related stress in our lives. Keeping this in view the paper has been prepared on some of the significance of Time Management and Academic Achievement of School Students.
