Research has examined various factors that may inhibit the career progress of females but, as far as the researcher has been able to ascertain, STTUC has not been sufficiently investigated as a factor that may hamper such progress. This study suggests such a focus because the work setting constantly places individuals in positions where they are obliged to present their abilities and/or achievements. In order to address the evident gap in existing research, this study investigated the STTUC framework within the organisational context in Botswana, Africa. The main aim of this study was to investigate the antecedents of STTUC and to explore gender differences in the STTUC experiences of black employees in Botswana. The antecedents explored included individual characteristics (specifically, collectivistic cultural orientation, traditional gender role orientation, affiliative needs, interpersonal sensitivity and competitiveness), family-work variables (specifically, instrumental support from the spouse/partner and family-work conflict), and organisational variables (focusing specifically on masculine values within the organisational culture).

Pełny tekst źródłaAprès un état de l'art relativement exhaustif des systèmes MIMO en général et des codes temps-espace en particulier, nous proposons de nouveaux codes STBC orthogonaux, puis une représentation polynômiale permettant la comparaison des codes STTC existants. La combinaison STBC/MC-CDMA étudiée ensuite améliore sensiblement les performances d'un système MC-CDMA SISO tout en autorisant un décodage relativement simple. Leur optimisation repose sur des techniques de détection mono-utilisateurs ou multi-utilisateurs. Leur performances sont évaluées dans des configurations MISO ou MIMO, aussi bien sur des canaux théoriques que sur des canaux réalistes. Enfin, la combinaison STTC/MC-CDMA est étudiée.

Pełny tekst źródłaThis work, propose some system architectures which are able to suppress as better as possible the MIMO system interferences. First we have generalized SOSTTC concept, for three transmit antenna case, by using set partitioning. We propose a new STBC design for the case of three transmit antennas. Our goal is to show that it is possible to build powerful STTC codes with STBC designs with maximum transmission rate, even in the case where orthogonality is broken. Then, we studied serial and parallel concatenation to obtain turbo receivers. We found that if we use our new code in a serial concatenation with the Vucetic's turbo STTC, we are able to obtain outstanding performances. At the end, we present two new architectures of layered space-time codes. First we show a combination of BLAST architecture and of special STTC codes which are developed in the previous part, and second, we combine irregular LDPC codes with BLAST architecture
