Pełny tekst źródłaThe present study aims to demonstrate the social psychological effects of the cooperative practicals on the processes of personalization/socialization. The modalities of employment, the expressivaly of these practicals and their values, lead to the feeling of being on actor there responsability that comes from this fact, leads to the adherence, the socialibility, the control and the increasing of the self respect on himself (herself) – to the personalization/socialization – the system of activities and the model of life constituted by the systems : personal, social, personal determine the appropriation and the expressivaly, of the practicals. The results obtained demonstrate that the cooperative practicals lead to a bigger social and informative opening to the intensity and the diversity of the associative participation and to the responsability from assuming those responsabilities. The processes of appropriation and the practicals lead to a multiplicity of models coming up to the people and the social employments and the feeling of approval, reinforcing mutually

Pełny tekst źródłaIn this survey, it is important to show that the negro-african tradition in its role of socialisation is in perfect harmony with the community reality and its idealistic "common life". The problematic in this survey raises the aspect of social tradition as a means of education, at successive stages integrating progressively the child in the community, by methodically acquiring the vision of a group, the african ideology, standards of living, common traditional values, the know-how technologies, various knowledge,. . . . Which will model and assure his integration. The approach adopted is focused on the superficial comprehension of "purely" education, based on addressing the educative traditional ways related to fundamental "religioussocio-economic and idealistic logics". That is conceived in the measure where the black african man does not behave as a western white man: for in black africa, as elsewhere, the individual only exist in the traditional group, in it's total and by studying the childhood in different ways of african approach

Pełny tekst źródłaThe object of this research is to study the involvement of individuals in physical activities, depending on their social status. Does the vicinity of sports facilities modify the influence of the social background in the membership process? The local environment is unable to drastically modify the social determinisms that make the individuals turn towards one activity rather than another. The effects of facilities nearness on the associative joining process depend on the social similarities between the local populations and the participants in the activities. They also vary according to two factors : the spreading of the activity in the area, and the concentration level of community life around local facilities. After unveiling the motor habitus present among the different social classes, we hope to understand better why some social groups are particularly attracted only by a restricted set of physical activities. This study brings to light some elements of youth culture regarding physical activity. The young members of the working class and middle class share the same favorite activities until 14 years old. After that, they follow different ways. When the working class youth remains faithfull to games in which two teams face each other and above all to sports of this kind, some teenagers of the middle class turn towards outdoors activities they had a chance to discover during their holidays. There is no doubt about the fact that the originaly social class plays a part in the production of these differences. But it seems that the carriers of individuals depend also on the own effects of their involvements in physical activity

Pełny tekst źródłaThis thesis is an exploration into the socialization of researchers as it takes place in various research practices. Using a lifeworld-perspective, a qualitative interview-study with doctoral students from different academic milieus is conducted. The organizational context of the study is the academic department as it is experienced, apprehended and constructed by the doctoral student.
The “societal” context is described and discussed in a brief analytical exposé of Swedish science policy in the last decade of the twentieth century. Questioning the political reliance on a systems-perspective, and the shortcomings of system theory for the understanding of research practices in different academic milieus, a lifeworld-theoretical turn is suggested.
A lifeworld-perspective is formulated in a meta-theoretical discussion focusing on the concepts of practice, time and language. Jürgen Habermas’ critique of phenomenological lifeworld-perspectives is the point of departure and theoretical inputs are derived from the sociology of knowledge, the sociology of scientific knowledge and phenomenological sociology. The solution is found in an integrative model of socialization as continual synchronization of subjective systems of coordinates and socio-cultural networks. Mediating between subjective consciousness and inter-subjective knowledge is language, and this is manifested in concrete practices observed in “real-time”.
The empirical study reveals some influences of the system on the lifeworld. “Inside” the lifeworld, however, the interviewees mostly use their departments as frames of reference in their descriptions and discussions. A more elaborate exploration of the life-world results in an understanding of socialization in terms of positioning. This concept denotes the ways in which the interviewees describe themselves, their socio-cultural surroundings and themselves in relation to these milieus. At any given moment, positioning can be understood as a “co-construction” of subjective position and socio-cultural milieu. Positioning is thereby the empirical correlate to synchronization, and socialization can be “read off” from the ways in which doctoral students position themselves “here and now”. Problematic, though, is that “doctoral student”, and especially “female doctoral student”, are found to be vague and vulnerable categories with no clear meanings for the socialised nor for the socio-cultural environment. In a more speculative manner, these difficulties of positioning are put in relation to “scientist” as a vague category. If “scientist” cannot be defined, how then can we know what “scientists in the making” are?
This thesis offers an insight into the plural “realities” of doctoral students in different academic milieus. It offers a lifeworld-perspective on socialization and is thereby relevant for discussions of post-graduate education among scholars as well as among policy makers.

Pełny tekst źródłaIn this dissertation I address the question of why some social groups classify some people and groups as strangers. To answer the question I focus the stranger in the writings of the Polish sociologist Zygmunt Bauman.
According to Bauman, the social construction of the stranger cannot be compared with the asymmetrical relation between an in-group and an out-group. An in-group stands for friends and proximity. It considers the out-group as the enemy at a distance. The hierarchical and a reciprocal relationship that exists between the in-group and the out-group is a part of the social order. The stranger, on the other hand, is constructed in the ambivalent position between the in-group and the out-group. Since there is no room for the stranger in an orderly world she has to be dealt with in a way that keeps the world free from incongruity.
Since Bauman considers the moral consequence of cultural classification, his work is also relevant for the question of living with the stranger. Leaving the Occidental rational tradition in favour of a phenomenological tradition, Bauman offers a view that considers the encounter with the stranger as a moral meeting. Highlighting responsibility, instead of social arrangements, law or tradition, Bauman visualises the stranger as a moral subject and not as aparticular social type, one who is constantly out of place
The theoretical considerations of the social making of the stranger, and the moral understanding of living for the stranger, contribute to a deeper understanding about the institutional origins of social marginalisation and cultural exclusion.

Pełny tekst źródłaWe formulate the hypothesis according to which the process or socialization consist in the construction of the social being. In this perspection, catechism can be considered as a place (topos) of sociolization of children in so far as it takes part in the construction of their social being. The purpose of this thesis is not to find out the operations of construction of the social being of the children, but also the way catechism takes part in this process. As we intend it to be, sociology of socialization supposes to delimit a social space where the operations of construction of the "schemes" and of the categories or perception as well as those relating to a conception of man and of society, can take place. However such a sociology cannot be restricted to the knowledge of that space, of the relational logic which is immanent to it, and of the perceptions that it makes possible. As a matter of fact, it has to apprehend also the way the process of socialization operates. If the construction of the child's social being is carried out owing to the social division of the labour between the agents of socialization who use their aptitudes and the children who are acquiring socialization, the knowledge of the way the process of socialization operates depends on the explanation of this genesis of the social space which acts as a place of socialization. So sociology of socialization does not consist in a work on children, as it attends to the agents of socialization and the operations of construction they realize, without their knowledge, because of their practising

Pełny tekst źródłaPrevious studies support the idea of a predictive association between preschool child-care services and some social behavioral trends at school age (shyness, social withdrawal and aggression). Those variations in social behaviors may also explain a greater susceptibility to negative social experiences, including victimization. The main purpose of this study is to examine, firstly, if there are predictive associations between child-care services features (i.e. its use, the intensity, the age at entry and the type) at preschool age and victimization at the beginning and at the end of elementary school and, secondly, if these associations are partly mediated by social behaviors. The data used in this study come from The Québec Longitudinal Study of Child Development (QLSCD; N = 1 899). The use of child-care services was assessed by the mother's verbal report from 5 months to 5 years. Peer victimization was measured by questionnaires, completed by the child and the teacher, when the child is aged 6 to 12; the same goes for social behaviors, evaluated by the teacher only. According to a series of mediation analyses, the use of child-care services is indirectly associated with higher kindergarten victimization through social behaviors, but not at the end of elementary school. Intensity is associated indirectly with higher kindergarten victimization, but this association becomes direct by the end of elementary school. Early entry into child-care services predicts lower victimization only at the end of elementary school. The type of child-care services is more associated with kindergarten than end of elementary school victimization; attending center-based care and family-based child care indirectly predicts higher victimization, and individual child care by a family member directly predicts lower victimization. As expected, the results of this study support the social group adaptation hypothesis.

Pełny tekst źródłaWork in organizational socialization (OS) over the past five decades has focused more on theorganizational (Van Maanen and Schein, 1979), individual (Louis, 1980) and interactionist approach(Reichers, 1987). As for the relational approach, some research has considered relations with socializingagents, as a source of information for new employees (NE) (Bauer and Green, 1998; Morrison, 1993),and rarely as a "relation". which supposes a dynamic, and to a certain extent a reciprocity between theactors (Coyle-Shapiro, and Shore, 2008). New employee relationships play a key role in NE socialization, not only for the information they provide (Ostroff and Kozlowski, 1992), but also as a primary source ofsocial support (Bauer and Green, 1998). However, work relationships can make the process of OSstressful and difficult (Kammeyer-Mueller et al. 2013, Lapointe, 2013). We fit our research into thisapproach, and we aim to understand the role of labor relations in new employee socialization and itsconsequences. Therefore, we use the psychological contract (Rousseau, 1989) and the theory of resourceconservation (Hobfoll, 1989) to understand the reciprocal expectations and obligations in the context oflabor relations, and the consequences in terms of gain or loss of resources. The qualitative approachbased on a multiple case study allows us to answer our research questions. Thus, we selected five businesscases in the Cameroonian context and conducted semi-structured interviews with 69 new recruits, and 8organizational representatives. Data analysis was done through thematic content analysis (Miles andHuberman, 2003) using NVIVO 12 software. The results reveal that work / non-work relationships ortheir absence lead to accumulation or loss of personal, relational, and organizational resources. Spiritualresources seem inexhaustible and very useful in the context of loss of resources for NE. The contributionsof our thesis mainly lie in highlighting a typology of new socialized employees and the dynamics of theresources they mobilize in labor relations

Pełny tekst źródłaIn a decentralization context trends in external state service - national education were confronted with the ambitions of various local education agents ; these new situations may be the keynote of educational mode and systems change, according to B. Gharlot's analysis in "l'école en mutation" ("the changing school"). Our hypothesis is that this change would be expressed though specific conditions, appropriate to each local ground of educational development. Surveys of the development of partnership were especially concerned, since 1982 with first "zones d'éducation prioritaires" (epa) experiments, then, from 1989, in the context of "zep" revival, with relations between "zep" and "developpement social des quartiers" (urban renewal) proceedings, and finally with educational initiatives in three medium sized cites, Evry, Amiens, Calais. Thanks to there interventions, local communities appear as the backbare of many achievements carried out in two major and correlated fields : youth elected mode of socialization and the planning of a sort of educational geopolitics which over determins then. So, local educational development seems to generate a style of operation contradictory to the logics inherited from territorialized education but related to that of local training areas. However, in spite of the reference to a global management of urban areas ("contrat de ville"), the lack of institutional apparatus in the educational field presently prevents from obtaining a real consistency : processes of local educational development observed in various areas only display the life size emergence of education modes and systems change
