Streszczenie:
Recently, the use of different social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and WhatsApp have increased significantly. A vast number of static images and motion frame pictures posted on such platforms get stored in the device folder making it critical to identify the social network of the downloaded images in the android domain. This is a multimedia forensic job with major cyber security consequences and is said to be accomplished using unique traces contained in picture material (SNs). Therefore, this proposal has been endeavoured to construct a new framework called FusionNet to combine two well-established single shared Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) to accelerate the search. Moreover, the FusionNet has been found to improve classification accuracy. Image searching is one of the challenging issues in the android domain besides being a time-consuming process. The goal of the proposed network's architecture and training is to enhance the forensic information included in the digital pictures shared on social media. Furthermore, several network designs for the categorization of WhatsApp pictures have been compared and this suggested method has shown better performance in the comparison. The proposed framework's overall performance was measured using the performance metrics.

Accurate box office forecasting models are developed by considering competition and word-of-mouth (WOM) effects in addition to screening-related information. Nationality, genre, ratings, and distributors of motion pictures running concurrently with the target motion picture are used to describe the competition, whereas the numbers of informative, positive, and negative mentions posted on social network services (SNS) are used to gauge the atmosphere spread by WOM. Among these candidate variables, only significant variables are selected by genetic algorithm (GA), based on which machine learning algorithms are trained to build forecasting models. The forecasts are combined to improve forecasting performance. Experimental results on the Korean film market show that the forecasting accuracy in early screening periods can be significantly improved by considering competition. In addition, WOM has a stronger influence on total box office forecasting. Considering both competition and WOM improves forecasting performance to a larger extent than when only one of them is considered.

This article advances research on external urban relations by drawing attention to the role of temporary project-based economic organisation in the formation of inter-firm links between cities. Through a novel empirical examination of (trans)national co-production in the motion picture industry, we reveal how such projects transcend the boundaries of individual production clusters and link urban centres within specific network configurations. Stripping away the ‘top layer’ of Hollywood’s commercially successful feature films, we undertake a social network analysis of film productions in four markets across three continents – China, Germany, France and Brazil – to provide a unique comparative analysis of networked urban geographies. Our findings show that film production networks are grounded in existing structural relations between cities. The spatial forms of these networks range from monocentric in the case of the French film market, to dyadic in the case of China and Brazil, to polycentric in the case of the German film market. Conceptually, we argue that adopting an inter-firm project-based approach can account for the ways in which complex patterns of inter-firm production relations accumulate to form (trans)national city networks. Viewing city networks in this way provides an important alternative perspective to dominant conceptualisations of global urban networks as formed through corporate intra-firm relations.

The paper advances a relational perspective to studying creativity at the individual level. Building on social network theory and techniques, we examine the role of social networks in shaping individuals' ability to generate a creative outcome. More specifically, we argue that individuals who occupy an intermediate position between the core and the periphery of their social system are in a favorable position to achieve creative results. In addition, the benefits accrued through an individual's intermediate core/periphery position can also be observed at the team level, when the same individual works in a team whose members come from both ends of the core/periphery continuum. We situate the analysis and test our hypotheses within the context of the Hollywood motion picture industry, which we trace over the period 1992–2003. The Motion Picture Mind Reading (MPMR) Test is a novel naturalistic mind-reading task, designed to measure individual differences in a young adult population in Japan. Short scenes from TV films showing characters in social situations were presented to 128 university students; participants judged the mental state of a character in these films. The distribution of task performance (MPMR Test) of participants was approximately normal and its psychometric properties were found to be satisfactory. The MPMR Test scores correlated positively with those of the Eyes Test and also with scores on the empathy quotient (EQ); they correlated negatively with scores on the systemizing quotient (SQ). The MPMR Test provides a further method for assessing subtle individual differences in mind-reading ability in the general population.

Aiming at the problem that it is difficult to balance the speed and accuracy of human behaviour recognition, this paper proposes a method of motion recognition based on random projection. Firstly, the optical flow picture and Red, Green, Blue (RGB) picture obtained by the Lucas-Kanade algorithm are used. Secondly, the data of optical flow pictures and RGB pictures are compressed based on a random projection matrix of compressed sensing, which effectively reduces power consumption. At the same time, based on random projection compression data, it can effectively find the optimal linear representation to reconstruct training samples and test samples. Thirdly, a multichannel 3D convolutional neural network is proposed, and the multiple information extracted by the network is fused to form an output recognizer. Experimental results show that the algorithm in this paper significantly improves the recognition rate of multicategory actions and effectively reduces the computational complexity and running time of the recognition algorithm.

The main purpose of the current study was to outline and assess a picture of the Hungarian and international welfare systems. The social care system is an essential institutional network for the society, be it a system of specific institutions or legislation. The European Union’s approach mainly focuses on social responsibility and solidarity as its primary consideration. The European Union considers that social safety net and social protection systems cannot work without adopting this approach, and only the systems that offer true assistance to the members of the society can actually give assistance to the society. In addition to economic orientation, solidarity-based and socially inclusive attitude has a particularly important role to play, since it is much more than just funding to smooth out individual or social problems.

In this paper we investigate the degree to which two social influences, namely imitation and coordinated consumption, effectuate inequalities in the motion picture industry. We develop an agent-based model based on micro movie visitors' decision-making that generates the observed macro market outcomes. The simulation model makes use of the findings of an empirical survey amongst 1112 cinema visitors. We find that social influences explain market inequalities and that the impact of coordinated consumption on market inequalities is stronger than the impact of imitation.

In the early days of the Internet, both conventional wisdom and scholarship deemed online communication a threat to well-being. Later research has complicated this picture, offering mixed evidence about how technology-mediated communication affects users. With the dawn of social network sites, this issue is more important than ever. A close examination of the extensive body of research on social network sites suggests that conflicting results can be reconciled by a single theoretical approach: the interpersonal-connection-behaviors framework. Specifically, we suggest that social network sites benefit their users when they are used to make meaningful social connections and harm their users through pitfalls such as isolation and social comparison when they are not. The benefits and drawbacks of using social network sites shown in existing research can largely be explained by this approach, which also posits the need for studying specific online behaviors in future research.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends of early childhood and picture books using keyword network analysis. Methods To this end, based on the academic database, keywords from 1,195 academic papers related to early childhood and picture books published from 2001 to 2020 were collected, and data analysis was conducted by keyword network analysis (keyword appearance frequency, connection centrality, and mediation centrality). Results First, from 2001 to 2020, creativity and pro-social behavior keywords among early childhood and picture book-related keywords were all ranked high in appearance frequency, connection centrality, and mediation centrality. On the other hand, research trends, literature, picture book making, and reading interest keywords were analyzed higher in connection-centeredness and mediation-centeredness than in the frequency. Second, for network analysis by period of early childhood and picture book research, it was divided into 1st (2001-2010) and 2nd (2011-2020), and the frequency of keyword appearance was high in the order of creativity, language ability, language expression, and picture book reading. In addition, the first period showed a high frequency of language appearance such as story composition ability and story comprehension, and the second period showed a high frequency related to society and emotions such as emotional intelligence, view acceptance, and self-esteem. Keyword connection centrality was high in the first period, keywords related to language ability, picture book making, and picture book reading, and research trends and social emotion-related keywords were high in the second period. Conclusions Research trends related to early childhood and picture books show a tendency that studies related to the literary nature of picture books have been studied from various angles. The keywords that appeared in connection-centeredness and mediation-centeredness in this study were different by period in network analysis by period. It can be seen that this is an important subject for each period.

Objective Social network analysis (SNA) can measure social connectedness and assess impact of interpersonal connections on health behaviors, including physical activity (PA). This paper aims to systematically review adult PA studies using SNA to understand important social network concepts relative to PA. Data Source A search was performed using PsycINFO, MEDLINE, PubMed, and Web of Science. Study Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria To be included in the search, articles needed to 1) include a measure of PA, 2) conduct an SNA in which specific relationships were measured, and 3) conduct an analysis between social network measures and PA. Data Extraction Key study elements including network design and results were extracted. Data Synthesis Data were synthesized to answer 2 questions: 1) how has adult PA been investigated using SNA approaches and 2) how is an adult’s social network associated with PA behaviors? Results A final sample of 28 articles remained from an initial 11 085 articles. Network size, homophily, network composition, and network exposure to PA were all associated with individual level PA across studies. Lastly, longitudinal and intervention studies showed a more complex picture of social influence and diffusion of PA behavior. Conclusions Adults’ PA behaviors are influenced by their networks. Capitalizing on this influence, researchers should engage not just individual behavior change but also the social influences present within the person’s life.

During video transmission over error prone network, compressed video bit-stream is sensitive to channel errors that may degrade the decoded pictures severely. In order to solve this problem, error concealment technique is a useful post-processing tool for recovering the lost information. In these methods, how to estimate the lost motion vector correctly is important for the quality of decoded picture. In order to recover the lost motion vector, an Decoder Motion Vector Estimation (DMVE) criterion was proposed and have well effect for recover the lost blocks. In this paper, we propose an improved error concealment method based on DMVE, which exploits the accurate motion vector by using redundant motion vector information. The experimental results with an H.264 codec show that our method improves both subjective and objective decoder reconstructed video quality, especially for sequences of drastic motion.

The present paper was prompted by the activity carried out within the scope of an EU-funded project (WARMEST). It calls to analyse the reasons for the degradation of the Patio de Los Leones, which attracts over 2 million tourists per year to Granada in Spain. We review here the most advanced studies and regulations on the assessment of the social impact of mass tourism and present a novel methodology to analyse its effects. We dug into the material available on social networks—especially feedback to posts published on major relevant sites—and got a comprehensive picture of the thoughts that were expressed there and a comprehensive assessment of the citizens’ opinion on the social impact of tourism in Granada. Thus, we obtained a new indicator called “C.1.2 index modified”, which measures the level of dissatisfaction of citizens with the tourists’ pressure; we propose to replace the existing ETIS index with C.1.2, which is mainly based on direct surveys that are often carried out with very limited resources. At the end of the research, we could point out topics that are especially important to the citizens, thus allowing us to define a strategic action plan with a bottom-up approach.

The motion picture industry is subject to extensive business and management research conducted on a wide range of topics. Due to high research productivity, it is challenging to keep track of the abundance of publications. Against this background, we employ a bibliographic coupling analysis to gain a comprehensive understanding of current research topics. The following themes were defined: Key factors for success, word of mouth and social media, organizational and pedagogical dimensions, advertising—product placement and online marketing, tourism, the influence of data, the influence of culture, revenue maximization and purchase decisions, and the perception and identification of audiences. Based on the cluster analysis, we suggest the following future research opportunities: Exploring technological innovations, especially the influence of social media and streaming platforms in the film industry; the in-depth analysis of the use of artificial intelligence in film production, both in terms of its creative potential and ethical and legal challenges; the exploration of the representation of wokeness and minorities in films and their cultural and economic significance; and, finally, a detailed examination of the long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and other crises on the film industry, especially in terms of changed consumption habits and structural adjustments.

The habit to share edited pictures through social networks have been reported in young people and associated to psychological vulnerabilities. The research addresses the effects of the exposure to edited pictures on guilt, shame, social comparison tendencies, body image dissatisfaction. Moreover, the study assesses the mediating role of borderline organization on perceived identification and attractiveness in edited and original personal pictures. We asked seventy young women to rate perceived identification and attractiveness in their original and edited pictures. Subjects report higher identification in the original picture compared to the edited ones; attractiveness does not change between original and edited pictures, but high identification in edited ones negatively affects the score of attractiveness in original versions. They report negative associations between the level of identification and attractiveness in the original picture and dysphoria, guilt and body image. Identification and attractiveness in personal pictures are influenced by psychological vulnerabilities. Eventually, borderline organization features mediate the association between guilt and body image satisfaction with identification and attractiveness respectively. Furthermore, psychopathological features might affect individual self-perception and behavior in social network.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate temporal tweet patterns and their effectiveness in predicting the financial performance of a movie. Specifically, how tweet patterns are formed prior to and after a movie’s release and their usefulness in predicting a movie’s success is explored. Design/methodology/approach Volume was measured and sentiment analysis was performed on a sample of Tweets posted four days before and after the release of 86 movies. The temporal pattern of tweeting for financially successful movies was compared with those that were financial disappointments. Using temporal tweet patterns, a number of machine learning models were developed and their predictive performance was compared. Findings Results show that the temporal patterns of tweet volume, length and sentiment differ between “hits” and “busts” in the days surrounding their releases. Compared with “busts” the tweet pattern for “hits” reveal higher volume, shorter length, and more favourable sentiment. Discriminant patterns in social media features occur days in advance of a movie’s release and can be used to develop models for predicting a movie’s success. Originality/value Analysis of temporal tweet patterns and their usefulness in predicting box office returns is the main contribution of this research. Results of this research could lead to development of analytical tools allowing motion picture studios to accurately predict and possibly influence the opening night box-office receipts prior to the release of the movie. Also, the specific temporal tweet patterns presented by this work may be applied to problems in other areas of research.

This paper investigates when users create profiles in different social networks, whether they are redundant expressions of the same persona, or they are adapted to each platform. Using the personal webpages of 116,998 users on About.me, we identify and extract matched user profiles on several major social networks including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. We find evidence for distinct site-specific norms, such as differences in the language used in the text of the profile self-description, and the kind of picture used as profile image. By learning a model that robustly identifies the platform given a user’s profile image (0.657–0.829 AUC) or self-description (0.608–0.847 AUC), we confirm that users do adapt their behaviour to individual platforms in an identifiable and learnable manner. However, different genders and age groups adapt their behaviour differently from each other, and these differences are, in general, consistent across different platforms. We show that differences in social profile construction correspond to differences in how formal or informal the platform is.

The amplitudes of the Nogo-N2 and the Nogo-P3 were computed as measures of the detection of response conflict and response inhibition, respectively. Reaction times and accuracy also were measured. The results showed that problematic users were less accurate on both Go and Nogo trials than nonproblematic users, irrespective of picture content. For problematic users only, the Nogo-P3 amplitude was lower to Facebook-related, pleasant, and neutral than to unpleasant stimuli, suggesting less efficient inhibition with natural and Facebook-related rewards. Of note, all participants were slower to respond to Facebook-related and pleasant Go trials compared with unpleasant and neutral pictures. Consistently, the Nogo-N2 amplitude was larger to Facebook-related than all other picture contents in both groups. Overall, the findings suggest that PSNSU is associated with reduced inhibitory control. These results should be considered in the debate about the neural correlates of PSNSU, suggesting more similarities than differences between PSNSU and addictive behaviors.

For many the term networking is cringe worthy. They picture awkward networking events, fake smiles, and sweaty handshakes. But is there another way? Can we network without feeling uncomfortable and like we are simply using people? Networking with the intent to build social capital is a viable alternative to traditional networking and presents networkers with comfort and peace of mind. In this paper we explore what social capital is and how it differs from networking. We discuss the importance of social capital and its components. Finally, we explore how one can build social capital through networking and introduce practical steps that can assist any individual to improve their networking. Ultimately, this paper will help individuals & organizations network more comfortably, efficiently and successfully.

ABSTRACTOne of the most influential applications of the concepts, methods and measures of social network analysis to the study of the social support transactions of older adults is the convoy model of social support. We draw on recent debates in network methodology to provide an assessment of the convoy model that explores the role of weak ties in the support networks of older adults. The social networks generated by the target diagram which operationalizes the convoy model display the structural and functional characteristics set out in its theoretical arguments. But not all of the ties constituting these networks are conduits of social support and, more importantly, these social networks do not include all supporting and supported others. The target diagram identifies core support networks; therefore, support flowing through weak ties is missed when it is used to set the boundaries of support networks. Expanding our picture of the support networks of older adults to take systematic account of weak ties and the emotional aid, instrumental assistance, and companionship that flow through them will enhance the effectiveness of support interventions that target older adults.

Cyberbullying is a felonious act carried out against the victim by sending harassing/ embarrassing/ abusing information online. Normally offenders create fake profiles in order to hide their identity for unscrupulous activities. Assuming a fake identity is very harmful as the real picture of the offender is not visible, and also it can become difficult to entrap them. Sometimes, some trustworthy friends can also take advantage of the fake identity in order to harm the victim. Culprits can reveal victim's personal information like financial details, personal history, family, etc., and along with it, he can harass, threaten or blackmail the victim using fake profiles and permeates that information on the social network. So, it is necessary to resolve this issue. In this article, the authors used the concept of entropy and cross entropy to identify fake profiles as entropy works on the degree of uncertainty. Also, this article shows the comparison of proposed method with the existing classifiers.

Pedestrian trajectory prediction is an essential but challenging task. Social interactions between pedestrians have an immense impact on trajectories. A better way to model social interactions generally achieves a more accurate trajectory prediction. To comprehensively model the interactions between pedestrians, we propose a multilevel dynamic spatiotemporal digraph convolutional network (MDST-DGCN). It consists of three parts: a motion encoder to capture the pedestrians’ specific motion features, a multilevel dynamic spatiotemporal directed graph encoder (MDST-DGEN) to capture the social interaction features of multiple levels and adaptively fuse them, and a motion decoder to produce the future trajectories. Experimental results on public datasets demonstrate that our model achieves state-of-the-art results in both long-term and short-term predictions for both high-density and low-density crowds.

According to simulation results, the TQ value is associated with the measurement accuracy of sensors and the motion state of targets, which is well matched with the convergence process of tracking filters. Besides, the proposed algorithm has good reliability and timeliness in track quality evaluation.

AbstractNetwork research in sociolinguistics suggests that integration in a local community network promotes speakers' retention of local linguistic variants in the context of pressure from external or standard dialects. In most sociolinguistic network research, a speaker is assigned a single score along an index representing the aggregate of several network and other social features. We propose that contemporary network methods in adjacent disciplines can profitably apply to sociolinguistics, thereby facilitating not only more generalizable quantitative analysis but also new questions about therelationalnature of linguistic variables. Two network analysis methods—cohesive blocking and Quadratic Assignment Procedure regression—are used to evaluate the social network factors shaping the retreat from the Southern Vowel Shift (SVS) in Raleigh, North Carolina. The data come from a 160-speaker subset of a conversational corpus. Significant network effects indicate that network proximity to Raleigh's urban core promotes retention of SVS features, and that network similarity between speakers corresponds to linguistic similarity. Contemporary social-network methods can contribute to linguistic analysis by providing a holistic picture of the community's structure. In this paper, we introduce the idea of the picture fuzzy graph based on the picture fuzzy relation. Some types of picture fuzzy graph such as a regular picture fuzzy graph, strong picture fuzzy graph, complete picture fuzzy graph, and complement picture fuzzy graph are introduced and some properties are also described. The idea of an isomorphic picture fuzzy graph is also introduced in this paper. We also define six operations such as Cartesian product, composition, join, direct product, lexicographic and strong product on picture fuzzy graph. Finally, we describe the utility of the picture fuzzy graph and its application in a social network.

Streszczenie:
Video deblurring aims at removing the motion blur caused by the movement of objects or camera shake. Traditional video deblurring methods have mainly focused on frame-based deblurring, which takes only blurry frames as the input to produce sharp frames. However, frame-based deblurring has shown poor picture quality in challenging cases of video restoration where severely blurred frames are provided as the input. To overcome this issue, recent studies have begun to explore the event-based approach, which uses the event sequence captured by an event camera for motion deblurring. Event cameras have several advantages compared to conventional frame cameras. Among these advantages, event cameras have a low latency in imaging data acquisition (0.001 ms for event cameras vs. 10 ms for frame cameras). Hence, event data can be acquired at a high acquisition rate (up to one microsecond). This means that the event sequence contains more accurate motion information than video frames. Additionally, event data can be acquired with less motion blur. Due to these advantages, the use of event data is highly beneficial for achieving improvements in the quality of deblurred frames. Accordingly, the results of event-based video deblurring are superior to those of frame-based deblurring methods, even for severely blurred video frames. However, the direct use of event data can often generate visual artifacts in the final output frame (e.g., image noise and incorrect textures), because event data intrinsically contain insufficient textures and event noise. To tackle this issue in event-based deblurring, we propose a two-stage coarse-refinement network by adding a frame-based refinement stage that utilizes all the available frames with more abundant textures to further improve the picture quality of the first-stage coarse output. Specifically, a coarse intermediate frame is estimated by performing event-based video deblurring in the first-stage network. A residual hint attention (RHA) module is also proposed to extract useful attention information from the coarse output and all the available frames. This module connects the first and second stages and effectively guides the frame-based refinement of the coarse output. The final deblurred frame is then obtained by refining the coarse output using the residual hint attention and all the available frame information in the second-stage network. We validated the deblurring performance of the proposed network on the GoPro synthetic dataset (33 videos and 4702 frames) and the HQF real dataset (11 videos and 2212 frames). Compared to the state-of-the-art method (D2Net), we achieved a performance improvement of 1 dB in PSNR and 0.05 in SSIM on the GoPro dataset, and an improvement of 1.7 dB in PSNR and 0.03 in SSIM on the HQF dataset.

Crowdsourced software engineering (CSE) is an emerging area that has been gaining much attention in the last few years. It refers to the use of crowdsourcing techniques in software engineering activities, including requirements engineering, implementation, design, testing, and verification. CSE is an alternative to traditional software engineering and uses an open call to which online developers can respond to and obtain work on various tasks, as opposed to the assigning of tasks to in-house developers. The great benefits of CSE have attracted the attention of many researchers, and many studies have recently been carried out in the field. This research aims to analyze publications on CSE using social network analysis (SNA). A total of 509 CSE publications from six popular databases were analyzed to determine the characteristics of the collaborative networks of co-authorship of the research (i.e., the co-authors, institutions involved in co-authorship, and countries involved in co-authorship) and of the citation networks on which the publications of the studies are listed. The findings help identify CSE research productivity, trends, performances, community structures, and relationships between various collaborative patterns to provide a more complete picture of CSE research.

Purpose This paper aims to describe a method for combining perceived community support, relationship quality and the extended technology acceptance model in the same empirically derived associative network. The research also examines the moderating role of accumulation of knowledge (based on beliefs and opinions) derived from social interactions. Design/methodology/approach The Pathfinder algorithm is a valid approach for determining network structures from relatedness data. Such a graphical representation provides managers with a comprehensible picture of how social behaviours relate to loyalty-based dimensions. Findings As the benefits of community participation and integration might be differently evaluated by new and long-term users, the research examines the associative network by levels of user familiarity. This study indeed contributes to the analysis of enduring social bonds with respect to individuals’ decision-making processes, as it provides details representing specific relationships between diverse concepts based on true-loyalty. Practical implications The application of Pathfinder to the study of online social services and user behaviour appears to have potential for unveiling the structures of social network sites members and designing successful strategies for prospective community managers. Originality/value This is the first study to the author’s knowledge that empirically tests a theory-grounded framework for integrating individual characteristics and relational driver and focuses on associative structures evidenced as a representation of the most salient loyalty-based concepts by also studying the moderating effects of familiarity.

The research relevance is determined by the constant development of industry and the use of robotic manipulators in production processes. The study aims to develop an approach to planning the trajectory of a manipulator robot using an intelligent system based on neural networks. An analysis method, as well as special methods such as design, machine learning, integration strategies, and optimisation techniques, were used to achieve this goal. The main results of the study cover a wide range of achievements in the development of methods for planning the motion of robotic manipulators and their integration into real production conditions. The analysis of existing methods for planning the motion of robotic manipulators and a review of intelligent control systems provided a comprehensive picture of the current state of the art. The developed methods of robot manipulator trajectory identified effective control strategies that consider both dynamic and static scenarios. Training a neural network to plan the optimal path of movement made it possible to detect, track and avoid obstacles in real-time. Hierarchical path planning, adaptive neural network control, genetic algorithms for path optimisation, and dynamic prediction for obstacle avoidance were used to integrate the developed methods into a real production environment. The optimisation and improvement of the created approaches have shown positive results in improving the safety and performance of robotic manipulators, reducing the risk of collisions, and avoiding damage to robots. In addition, the implementation of hierarchical trajectory planning and adaptive neural network control contributed to a significant increase in the accuracy and stability of manipulator movements in various production process scenarios. The practical significance of the study is to develop an intelligent control system and methods for planning the movement of robotic manipulators, which contributes to the efficiency and safety of their operation in real production conditions

Through a study of 8,000 news items across 8 major news outlets in the U.S. we predominately find that network gatekeepers re-share news items more often when they reference socially deviant events. At the same time we find and discuss exceptions for two outlets, suggesting a more complex picture where newsworthiness for networked gatekeepers may be moderated by other effects such as topicality or varying motivations and relationships with their audience.

Aiming at secure video sharing in multimedia social network, a format-compliant encryption scheme for high efficiency video coding (HEVC) based on sigh data hiding (SDH) is proposed. The encryption is tightly integrated with the encoding/decoding processes. For each coding unit (CU), the sign of the nonzero coefficient and the first hiding nonzero coefficient are both encrypted with key stream. Meanwhile, one of merging index, motion vector prediction index, sign of motion vector difference and reference frame index is chosen for encryption according to a control factor. As it is explored in this article, experimental results and analysis indicate that it can effectively resist brute-force attack, difference attack and replacement attack. Also, it can keep a good balance in encryption space, computation complexity and security. Based on the encryption scheme, a framework of its implementation in multimedia social network is presented. It has great potential to be implemented for secure video sharing in multimedia social network.

This paper introduces a method to use deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to automatically replace advertisement (AD) photo on social (or self-media) videos and provides the suitable evaluation method to compare different CNNs. An AD photo can replace a picture inside a video. However, if a human being occludes the replaced picture in the original video, the newly pasted AD photo will block the human occluded part. The deep learning algorithm is implemented to segment the human being from the video. The segmented human pixels are then pasted back to the occluded area, so that the AD photo replacement becomes natural and perfect appearance in the video. This process requires the predicted occlusion edge to be closed to the ground truth occlusion edge, so that the AD photo can be occluded naturally. Therefore, this research introduces a curve fitting method to measure the predicted occlusion edge’s error. By using this method, three CNN methods are applied and compared for the AD replacement. They are mask of regions convolutional neural network (Mask RCNN), a recurrent network for video object segmentation (ROVS) and DeeplabV3. The experimental results show the comparative segmentation accuracy of the different models and DeeplabV3 shows the best performance.

In order to effectively detect and monitor athletes and record various motion data of targets, the study suggests a study of target tracking algorithms to detect the direction of motion video sports movement based on the neural network. A class of feedforward neural networks with convolutional computation and deep structure is one of the representative algorithms of deep learning. Firstly, the athlete image is obtained from the video frame; combined with the nonathlete image to construct the training set, use the bootstrapping algorithm to train the convolutional neural network classifier. In the case of input picture frames, pyramids of different scales are then constructed by subsampling, and the location of many candidate athletes is detected by a neural network of disruption. Finally, these centers calculate the center of gravity of the athletes, find the athlete to represent the candidate, and determine the location of the final athlete through a local search process. The results of the experiment show that the proposed scheme of 6000 frames in the two game videos is compared with the AdaBoost scheme, and the detection rate of the proposed scheme is 75.41% to calculate the average detection accuracy and false alarm speed of all players. The detection rate is higher than the AdaBoost scheme. Therefore, this scheme has a high detection rate and low false positives.
