In this study, deep drawing using plastic die was investigated to prevent seizure during forming. In the deep drawing process of aluminum and titanium sheets, seizure was found to occur during forming due to a high reactivity with other metals. For the prevention of seizure, plastic dies were used in this study. These plastic materials have a good resistant to seizing, since no seizure occurs in the contact surface of the metal and plastic material. Moreover, the effects of seizure and wearing die on the dimensional accuracy of drawn cups were examined using nylon die. The blanks used were pure aluminum, aluminum alloy A5052 and pure titanium. The blanks could be successfully formed with a water lubricant. To increase the dimensional accuracy of the drawn cups, deep drawing using fiber-glass-reinforced nylon and plastic composite steel die was also attempted. It was found that the use of plastic die was very effective in preventing of seizure.

Although the combined effect of strain rate and temperature on the behaviour of metals is widely recognized, no universally accepted viewpoints are available about the physical phenomena. Experiments on a highly ductile A2-70 steel, performed at moderate dynamic rates (10 s-1) and different initial temperatures (20 to 150 °C), are firstly aimed here at assessing whether the thermal softening previously verified at static rates on the same steel is also suitable for describing now the mixed effect of dynamic rates and consequent variable temperatures, or further contributions to the thermal softening are necessary for describing such mixed effects. A general multiplicative model of the dynamic hardening is proposed, based on a static flow curve at room temperature to be increased by the dynamic amplification and to be decreased by the thermal softening, the latter incorporating the known “static component” depending on both strain and constant temperatures, together with a new “dynamic component” incorporating the dependence on the temperature variation and promoted by fast straining. The dynamic amplification of the stress is then obtained from another series of dynamic tests ran at initial room temperature and four nominal strain rates between 1 and 1800 s-1. The trend obtained is compatible with the seizing of the strain rate effect beyond necking onset, already found for other metals in previous works. All the experiments are based on the acquisition of the current load (by load cells for the testing machine and by strain gauges for the Hopkinson bar) and of the current cross section through optical diameter measurements by a fast camera; then, the effective current values of true stress-true strain-true strain rate are measured on a semi-local basis over the neck section at different instants during the test.

Affected by the epidemic in recent years, the market c ompetition has been particularly fierce, and both new and old brands are seizing the market through personalized packaging. The rise of the new-tro trend is reflected in various fields such as film and television, clothing, architectural decoration, and games. Today's packaging design is difficult to meet the emotional needs of consumers, and there is an urgent need to integrate fresh elements with traditional packaging design. Based on the new-tro trend, this research uses the visual marketing AISUS model to analyze the current packaging boxes containing the three major trend elements of new-tro, and understands the impact of the three major packaging elements of new-tro on consumer Visual merchandising. The results show that the Reinterpretation, interesting and Emotionality all have different effects on visual marketing. Among them, emotionality has the greatest influence on visual marketing, followed by interesting and reinterpretation.

The article presents the results of experimental studies of the wear resistance of metals in order to select the most effective for the manufacture of guide elements of prefabricated universal readjusted stamps. To determine the effect of the material and chemical-heat treatment of them on the wear resistance of the guide elements, the optimal friction pair was selected and tested under conditions similar to the operating conditions of the stamps. Specimens for testing were made in the form of cuts of steel 20, 12ХНЗА (12HNZA), 40Х (40Н) and 38ХМЮА (38HMYUA). Laboratory tests were performed on the machine MИ-1M (МI-1M) under a load of 50, 75 and 100 kgf with a contact area of 243 mm2. The amount of wear was determined by the gravimetric method of I. Kragelsky. Before testing for wear resistance, the specimens were subjected to thermal and heat-chemical treatment: Steel 20 (cementation, normalization, quenching, tempering), 12ХНЗА (12HNZA) (cementation, high tempering, quenching, tempering), 40X (40Н) (quenching, tempering, nitriding) and 38ХМЮА (38HMYUA) (quenching, vacation, nitriding). Studies of the microstructure and microhardness of the test specimens have shown that the nitriding of 38ХМЮА (38HMYUA) and 40X (40H) steel specimen reduces its wear by 1...2 µm and 2...3 µm, and the microhardness of both materials decreases by 50...100 Nm. The analysis of the wear intensity graphs on the number of cycles have shown that for all specimens there are two periods of wear (1 – running-in of rubbing surfaces, 2 – steady wear). Also, studies have shown that the surface layer of nitrated specimens on 38ХМЮА (38HMYUA) steel has a higher wear resistance and a slight tendency to seizing and hardening, providing a high resistance of the part to wear in various friction conditions. The results of testing samples under various loads have shown that the linear wear value is proportional to the change in the specific pressure value established on the basis of the conducted studies that the most effective material for the manufacture of guide elements for PURS is 38ХМЮА (38HMYUA) steel with the following thermal and heat-chemical treatment (quenching – 940 ... 950°C, tempering – 650°C and nitriding – 540°C).

Concentrations of Pb, Cd, Ni, Cr and Hg were determined in livers of six species of raptors collected in the area of Eastern Poland. Redundancy analysis (RDA) showed that elevated Hg and Cr concentrations were directly related to feeding on passerines. Raptors that specialised in seizing small mammals as a source of food revealed higher hepatic concentrations of Pb and Cd in comparison with other raptors. Unlike Cd, we found statistically significant differences in the Pb concentrations in livers of Common buzzards as compared to Sparrowhawks. In spite of the fact that both Goshawks and Sparrowhawks hunt birds, only the latter species had accumulated significantly more mercury. The high concentrations of Hg in Sparrowhawks could be related to the use of mercury in antifungal substances for seed dressing.

Social connectedness, an indicator of psychological well-being, requires social interaction and communication among individuals. Prior research usually examined the relationship between the use of online communication channels and the sense of social connectedness under the circumstances where face-to-face communication was readily available. Pandemic provided an excellent setting to study the sole effect of the use of online communication on social connectedness as online communication was not accompanied by in-person communication due to restrictions such as lockdowns. Seizing the opportunity, this study aims at investigating the relationship between the use of online communication platforms and social connectedness at a time when face-to-face communication was not an option and individuals employed online communication channels heavily. To this end, a survey was conducted online on 406 college students in Turkey in November- December 2022 to present retrospective analyses. The findings indicate while face-to-face communication is the prime component to build social connectedness, the use of online communication channels, particularly WhatsApp, social networking sites, video call helped to maintain social bonds among individuals when in-person communication was virtually absent. The research provides insights on how different communication channels can promote social connectedness with varying degrees depending on their social presence.

Le contact entre le jet d'eau et l'acier inoxydable fondu observe dans l'installation experimentale seizies provoque une pressurisation et une liberation de l'energie mecanique. On propose dans ce memoire une analyse et une interpretation de cette interaction a l'aide d'un modele thermodynamique et d'un modele parametrique. Les objectifs de ce travail sont: l'evaluation du terme source de l'interaction, a savoir l'energie reellement transmise dans l'interaction et celle transformee en travail mecanique et l'amelioration des connaissances sur l'interaction thermique metal fondu et notamment dans le cas d'une injection de l'eau sur le metal fondu. Les resultats importants sont: le travail mesure experimentalement est representatif du travail maximum liberable dans seizies, la masse d'acier participant a ete determine et certains mecanismes physiques ont ete valides
