Pełny tekst źródłaAccording to the French energy efficiency target for 2020, the building industry is moving towards "positive energy". These new challenges require the integration of new components to architectural and technical aspects, as well as a break in the methods of design and evaluation of the project. But the research for energy efficiency depends of digital measurement instruments which are not adapted to the design process of architects, which results in the difficulty of consistency between architectural and energy performance targets.The objective of this work is to analyze the complexity of integrating energy issues in the design process, to propose a methodological approach which optimizes energy efficiency. To address these issues, we propose to analyze and reconstruct the design process from a methodological point of view, later to study the optimization of energy performance using digital tools.The study of the design process shows the impact of the energy component and its important role in the early stages of the design process. The methodological analysis of energy issues shows the interrelation between general principles and design decisions. The formulation of a design strategy using a methodological tool allows us to propose an approach for optimizing the energy performance based on the morphological structure of the building.This approach opens new methodological perspectives in the design of positive energy buildings. The complexity of the relationship between energy, the morphology of buildings and the use of digital tools would be changing the design process in architecture and the future organization of urban complexes
De acuerdo con los objetivos de eficiencia energética para el año 2020 en Francia, la industria de la construcción se dirige hacia las construcciones de "energía positiva". Estos nuevos desafíos exigen la integración de nuevos componentes a los aspectos arquitectónicos y técnicos del proyecto, así como una ruptura en sus métodos de diseño y evaluación. Pero la optimización de la eficiencia energética depende del uso de herramientas digitales de medición que usualmente no se encuentran adaptadas al proceso de diseño arquitectónico, lo que dificulta la coordinación entre el proyecto arquitectónico y los aspectos energéticos.El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la complejidad de la integración de la componente energética en el proceso de diseño, proponiendo un enfoque que permita optimizar la eficiencia energética. Para estudiar este tema, se propone analizar y reconstruir el proceso de diseño del arquitecto desde un punto de vista metodológico, para abordar posteriormente la problemática de la optimización de la eficiencia energética a través de herramientas digitales.El estudio del proceso de diseño muestra el impacto de la energía y su importancia de las primeras etapas del proceso de diseño. El análisis metodológico de los aspectos energéticos muestra la interrelación entre los temas principales y las decisiones de diseño. La formulación de una estrategia de diseño utilizando una herramienta metodológica permite proponer un enfoque para la optimización de la eficiencia energética basado en la estructura morfológica del edificio.Este enfoque abre nuevas perspectivas metodológicas en el diseño de edificios de energía positiva. Pełny tekst źródłaVirtual reality (VR) will revolutionize many fields such as medicine, industry, architecture, etc. It has become an important element in the development of a solution, particularly in the architectural field. Whether for marketing or project review, VR allows virtual visits of homes in virtual environment (VE) at real scale. Today, the architect has a real marketing tool by providing to potential customer virtual visits of homes. During these virtual visits, the customer can get an idea of the house. With the visualization at scale 1: 1, the customer has the opportunity to explore the house and he can easier project himself into the house to take decisions more easily. The hope is that, this virtual visit would more quickly lead to a signing agreement.Furthermore, during the design process, the architect can make a project review in VE with customer to guide his choices and refine the collection of needs. Following this review, together, they validate the plan of the house in terms of size and layout of rooms, window position, etc. Therefore, the VR allows considerable time and money saving for architects. Decisions taken in VE are generally based on the perception of distances and volumes. Therefore, the effectiveness of the decisions depends on the ability of customers to make judgments about what they see in the VE similar to the judgments they would have made in the corresponding real environment. Several studies have shown that the estimation of distances in VE is different from the estimation in real environment. Several factors can be the source of this problem such as the display device, the limited field of view, graphical quality, etc. Despite these studies, factors that cause this phenomenon remain unclear, and diverse. Our work is part of an architectural project: CIMBEES project. This project aims to integrate VR in the process of selling / buying and of the design through virtual visits and project review in VE. Our work is to design and evaluate architectural project review tool. The design stage is to suggest a project review tool for the visualization of digital mockups at real scale in VE and providing interaction that meets the needs of architects. During this stage we developed a project review tool and we modeled necessary digital mockups from real house plans. In the evaluation stage of the architectural project review tool, we were interested at the problem of the perception of distances in VE. The aim of this evaluation is to identify and to study the most important factors for the tool, to propose suitable parameters for our application context (virtual visits). To do this, we conducted an experimental study that focuses on the study of the influence of three factors on the perception of distances: 1) the cognitive profile of users, 2) the environmental context and 3) the speed of navigation. This upsets the digital world of design education in the broadest sense and particularly the architectural project, our prime area of exploration. With the advent of lightning-aided design software designer in the wallet of the architecture students to the project is completely shocked and questioned if his conceptual approach. Pełny tekst źródłaThe work carried out in the course of this thesis is the result of a joint project between the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Mons and the LARSH laboratory at the Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France. The research developed in this document is based on the following observations.Firstly, we found that social sustainability was often treated as a secondary issue, or through economic or ecological sustainability, including in the construction sector. We then drew up an approach to the definition of social sustainability in construction, and found that the key words related to it were well-being, comfort, safety, etc. However, one of the roles of the designer is to produce projects that offer precisely these criteria to their occupants. They are therefore inclined to pay particular attention to the sustainability of their projects, including social sustainability. So how do designers position themselves in the face of this imbalance ? This contrast leads us to our first research questions : "Do designers integrate social sustainability into their vision of sustainable architecture ? and "How do designers define social sustainability ?" To answer these questions, we carried out a qualitative survey of construction players operating in the design phase.Secondly, following the observation that, on the one hand, social sustainability was less often taken into account than economic and ecological sustainability, and that, on the other hand, Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes were taking on an increasingly essential role in projects, while at the same time presenting a good capacity for efficiency in the management of information, we wondered about the possible interactions between these two concepts. We observed that there were strong interactions between the concept of BIM and sustainability, particularly ecological sustainability. Indeed, the notion of Green BIM brings together the various existing links between these two themes. However, we again observed fewer interactions with social sustainability, which led us to the following questions : "How can BIM be used to improve the social sustainability of projects ?" and "Are designers prepared to accept the use of BIM to address social sustainability issues ?".To answer these questions, we turned to the field of usage studies, which aims to predict the use of a new technology made available to users (Terrade et al., 2010). In this work, we study the perceived usefulness and social acceptance of different BIM uses in a context of social sustainability. Our study of the usefulness of BIM uses in a context of social sustainability took the form of a summary table showing five categories of BIM uses for social sustainability. For each of these criteria, we listed uses for which BIM could offer added value. Our study of the social acceptance of these uses was carried out through a qualitative survey consisting of semi-structured interviews. We used a constructivist and inductive posture to analyse these interviews, which enabled us to identify models of expectations, obstacles and conditions concerning the acceptance of BIM uses for social sustainability by project designers.
