Abstract: The state of incessant power failure accompanied with the increase in pump price of petroleum in India, solar energy becomes the most sought after energy source. Solar chargers are simple, portable and ready to use devices which can be used by anyone especially in remote areas. Going solar can solve the problems of dependence on fuels and the prevalent energy crisis. This project aims to make a portable solar charger which can be used on the go. A portable solar mobile phone charger is simply a power electronic device that converts solar radiation into electrical current for the purpose of charging the batteries of mobile phones. This charger is made by converting, controlling and conditioning the flow of electrical energy from source to load according to the requirements. of the load; this technology is called power electronics. An external adjustable voltage regulator is used to obtain the desired constant voltage. A zener diode switches on to ensure charging is cut off at the saturation point. Two 3.7V lithium ion batteries are used as backup; an operational amplifier works here as a comparator to signify when backup is fully charged. Ultimately, 11V and 160mA is supplied by the panel under full sunlight. This charger has an output voltage of 5V and an average of 800mA current to charge a mobile phone, this system charges a phone fully between 4-5hours and it has a capacity of 4800mAh. This device charges all mobile phones by all manufacturers using a universal serial bus connector. It is the only viable solution to charging mobile phones as it is portable, light-weight and does not cause pollution

La série de tapisseries représentant la campagne militaire de Charles Quint (1500-1558) contre les Turcs à Tunis est l’une des plus chères et des plus ambitieuses commandées par l’empereur. Mais c’est aussi l’un des projets les mieux documentés dans le domaine des tapisseries du XVIe siècle. Les dessins pour les douze tapisseries de la série ont été exécutés onze ans après la campagne par l’artiste de cour Jan Cornelisz Vermeyen (env. 1500-1559). Il fut aidé par le peintre flamand Pieter Coecke van Aelst (1502-1550) pour la réalisation des cartons à taille réelle. Au XVIIIe siècle, les dix cartons restants (deux furent perdus) furent réutilisés en vue d’une série pour le compte de l’empereur Charles VI (1685–1740), qui aimait à se comparer à Charles Quint et poursuivait à maints égards la tradition de ce dernier. Il chargea Judocus de Vos d’effectuer des tapisseries sur le modèle des cartons originels. Les cartons préservés figurent parmi les pièces maîtresses du Kunsthistorisches Museum de Vienne. Ces objets uniques sont exposés depuis l’ouverture du musée en 1891. L’exposé se focalisera d’une part sur la contribution de Coecke au projet ainsi que sur l’histoire des cartons jusqu’à leur présentation à Vienne. D’autre part, nous examinerons la révision des cartons en vue du retissage au XVIIIe siècle et la relation entre les cartons et la série tissée pour le compte de Charles VI.

We analyze the case with transfer of development charges by illegal parceling and project ownership succession, which is so called ‘chogaegie,’ with an emphasis on ‘Vertrauensschutz’ and the ‘principle of real taxation.’ This sophisticated hands-on practice of site development has resulted in the transfer of development charges to parcel purchasers along with the inevitable project ownership succession without which the original developer should have been charged for any necessary development charges. For evading any burden of development charges on large-scale site development, building lots for individual houses were sold separately with illegal parceling under the local government’s conditional permit of ‘site development,’ whose ‘building’ project ownership as the local government’s decisive criterion for determining whom to charge was regarded as due to each purchase of illegally parceled lots that had been owned by the original developer.

L A TEX3 est un projet ancien puisque c’est en 1999 que Frank Mittlebach et Chris Rowley détaillaient les motivations, les réalisations et le futur du LaTeX3 Project. Le projet a bien évolué et, depuis un certain temps déjà, l’idée de produire un nouveau format LaTeX3 existant en parallèle de LaTeX2ε a été abandonnée : les membres du LaTeX Project ont décidé d’améliorer et de moderniser LaTeX en intégrant graduellement dans son noyau les nouveautés, tout en veillant au maintien de la compatibilité descendante pour les anciens documents. C’est ainsi que désormais, en 2022, nous avons accès aux mécanismes de LaTeX3 sans rien charger de plus.

Concern over the injustice of the money bail system led the founders of the Vera Institute of Justice to design and implement the Manhattan Bail Project in 1961. The Project demonstrated that people with strong ties to the community could be safely released from custody without bail merely on their promise to return to court—called release on recognizance. Federal, state, and local officials should be encouraged to examine their systems and implement a more just, more rational, and less costly system of ensuring appearance and protecting public safety while those charged but presumed innocent await the disposition of the charges. Toward that end, Attorney General Eric Holder convened a national conference on bail and criminal justice in June 2011 that presented another opportunity to realize the Manhattan Bail Project's mission: bringing pretrial justice to the significant proportion of impoverished defendants brought before the criminal courts.

Abstract: Conventional PFC circuits in EV (Electric Vehicle) battery chargers have efficiency limitations. To overcome this issue, there were losses associated with the DBR, hence a bridgeless single-ended primary inductance converter (SEPIC) with improved power quality is presented in this project. The input current drawn by the charger shows a unity power factor operation in a complete switching cycle. Due to the elimination of DBR, conduction losses are significantly controlled. The overall performance of the proposed bridgeless SEPIC converter is analyzed with the help of various operating modes. The EV battery is charged at constant current/ constant voltage control mode, which provides satisfactory results for improved efficiency and inherent PFC, thus improving the overall performance of the charger.

In this paper, the design & development of a DC charging unit for various engineering applications is presented. The DC Charger project is the creation of a charging system that converts AC power from the mains into a steady DC output for charging batteries and devices. The process involves using a transformer to step down the mains voltage, followed by a bridge rectifier that converts AC to pulsating DC. Smoothing capacitors then refine the DC waveform, which is further stabilized by voltage regulators to provide a consistent 12V output. A relay that manages the charging process. When the battery is fully charged, the relay disconnects the charging current. LED indicators provide visual cues for charging status. Protection mechanisms prevent issues such as overcurrent and overvoltage, ensuring safety. The project teaches about the basics of DC power electronics and how to design, build, components, and test a DC charger. It will also give you the opportunity to apply your skills in electronics and problem-solving. The work carried out is the second semester mini-project by the students of Electronics & Communication Engineering under the guidance of the faculties.

Cet article décrit le projet de fin d’étude mis au point au sein du Master Réseaux et Télécommunications parcours SYSCOM (Systèmes Communicants) de l’Université de Lille. Le projet vise à développer des solutions hyperfréquences pour la ville intelligente (Smart City). Les développements techniques et scientifiques reposent sur la plate-forme hyperfréquence du GIP-CNFM de Lille qui comprend toutes les installations nécessaires pour mener à bien un projet complet comprenant l'analyse, la conception et la réalisation de composants et circuits hyperfréquences. En particulier, deux projets menés de concert sont décrits. Le premier projet vise à développer un radar hyperfréquence monostatique opérant à 6,2 GHz pour la mesure sans contact des fréquences respiratoire et cardiaque d’un individu. Le deuxième projet ambitionne de développer un microscope électromagnétique original pour le Contrôle Non Destructive (CND) de matériaux à haute résolution spatiale. Un cahier des charges en terme de coût, de performances de mesure et de possibilités d’intégration est défini préalablement avec pour objectif de développer des solutions économiques viables.

Dans le cadre des projets pédagogiques tutorés qui se déroulent chaque année, sur une semaine, au département GEII de l’IUT de Béthune (Université d'Artois), des groupes d'étudiants mélangeant 1ère année et 2ème année, sont constitués. Suivant un cahier des charges préalablement défini par un enseignant référent, ils doivent finaliser un projet, généralement dans le temps imparti. Ces projets réalisés à la jonction des semestres 1 et 2 et des semestres 3 et 4 encouragent les étudiants à approfondir leurs connaissances théoriques et expérimentales. Le projet que nous présentons dans cet article, nécessite des compétences en électricité, électronique, informatique et énergies renouvelables. Ce projet est motivant puisqu'il concerne la préservation d'espèces protégées. En effet, lorsque des Hirondelles de fenêtre qui sont des espèces protégées, habitent dans des bâtiments voués à la destruction, ceux-ci ne peuvent être détruits, tant que des Hirondelles de fenêtre y sont présentes. Le dispositif demandé aux étudiants doit permettre d'attirer les hirondelles à leur retour de migration, à un autre emplacement, une cabane en bois surélevée et équipée de 17 nids artificiels, afin qu’aucune ne soit présente dans les bâtiments lors du commencement des travaux de démolition.

In this project we will learn to use an Arduino and an attached charging circuit to control the charging of NiMH rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries are a great way to power your portable electronics. They can save a lot of money when properly recycled. But it's much more fun to build one for yourself. So, here is how to build an Arduino controlled battery charger. Each type of battery uses a different chemical process to make it work. As a result, each type of battery needs to be charged differently. We are going to focus on the most common type of AA rechargeable battery, Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH). Battery Charger is designed for charging 12V sealed lead-acid batteries. The designed device consists Charging unit , Battery Housing Unit (Drawers) with their respective batteries insider the Drawers which can be charged simultaneously. Each Battery Housing Units provided with its driver circuit, transformer and power supply module. Power supply module is designed with thermal analysis & optimization and protection for EMI/EMC issues. Once the battery is connected to the circuit, it then displays battery charging condition. Battery charging level is displayed by LEDS and LCD is used to indicate the keyed input battery voltage and current through keypad 4X4 manually. Battery type and remaining charging time are displayed on screen during charging on LCD display. PIC 18f452 Microcontroller continuously monitors the battery condition and displays it on LCD. Charging stops when battery is fully charged, audio alarm is indicated with a buzzer and finally the ejection of the drawer tray for removal of the charged battery. This is advantageous as it prevents the battery from damage and over charging.

In a 2014 article entitled “Prosecutorial Discretion and Environmental Crime,” I presented empirical data developed by student researchers participating in the Environmental Crimes Project at the University of Michigan Law School. My 2014 article reported that 96 percent of defendants investigated by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and charged with federal environmental crimes from 2005 through 2010 engaged in conduct that involved at least one of the aggravating factors identified in my previous scholarship, namely significant harm, deceptive or misleading conduct, operating outside the regulatory system, and repetitive violations. On that basis, I concluded that prosecutors charged violations that included those aggravating factors in nearly every case over a six-year period—and that defendants who committed environmental violations that did not involve one of those aggravating factors were unlikely to face criminal charges. In this Article, I provide the latest data from the Environmental Crimes Project, which now includes defendants charged from 2005 through 2014. I again find that most defendants charged with federal environmental crimes committed violations that involved at least one of the four aggravating factors, with the levels even higher (98 percent of all defendants). I identify shifts in the data, the most notable of which are a dramatic drop in the number of cases and defendants charged during the last year of our data, a significant increase in the number of criminal charges brought under the Clean Air Act for non-asbestos abatement violations, and a nearly 40 percent increase in the percentage of defendants operating outside the regulatory system. I assess trends since Supreme Court decisions that restricted Clean Water Act jurisdiction and made federal sentencing guidelines advisory, and I analyze cases that fall outside my normative model and may pose questions about how prosecutors exercised their discretion. In addition, for the first time, I provide outcome data regarding environmental crime, which demonstrates that overall conviction rates are higher for environmental crime than in the federal system generally and for regulatory crime in particular, but are not as robust at trial. I also provide incarceration data, which shows that fewer environmental defendants are incarcerated than other regulatory crime defendants. I analyze whether there is any correlation between incarceration and the statutes charged, the presence of aggravating factors, or whether defendants plead guilty or are convicted after trial. The incarceration data shows a statistically significant correlation between the number of aggravating factors and whether a defendant is incarcerated. The incarceration data also shows a strong correlation between conviction at trial and incarceration, with defendants who are convicted at trial more than twice as likely to be sentenced to a period of incarceration than defendants who pleaded guilty.

Abstract For users of climate services, the ability to quickly determine the datasets that best fit one’s needs would be invaluable. The volume, variety, and complexity of climate data makes this judgment difficult. The ambition of CHARMe (Characterization of metadata to enable high-quality climate services) is to give a wider interdisciplinary community access to a range of supporting information, such as journal articles, technical reports, or feedback on previous applications of the data. The capture and discovery of this “commentary” information, often created by data users rather than data providers, and currently not linked to the data themselves, has not been significantly addressed previously. CHARMe applies the principles of Linked Data and open web standards to associate, record, search, and publish user-derived annotations in a way that can be read both by users and automated systems. Tools have been developed within the CHARMe project that enable annotation capability for data delivery systems already in wide use for discovering climate data. In addition, the project has developed advanced tools for exploring data and commentary in innovative ways, including an interactive data explorer and comparator (“CHARMe Maps”), and a tool for correlating climate time series with external “significant events” (e.g., instrument failures or large volcanic eruptions) that affect the data quality. Although the project focuses on climate science, the concepts are general and could be applied to other fields. All CHARMe system software is open-source and released under a liberal license, permitting future projects to reuse the source code as they wish.

L’objectif de ce projet pédagogique est de proposer à des étudiants de niveau Master ou Ingénieur en Electronique un module complet leur permettant de se familiariser avec la conception et la fabrication de circuits intégrés analogiques répondant spécifiquement à un cahier des charges. L’autonomie et la prise d’initiatives sont favorisées par le mode d’Apprentissage Par Projet (APP). Le projet, d’une durée totale de 9 journées permettra à une équipe constituée de 2 binômes d’étudiants de réaliser un circuit CMOS personnalisé selon un cahier des charges, à partir de la modélisation de la filière technologique NMOS et PMOS accessibles à la centrale technologique de l’Atelier Interuniversitaire de Micro-nano Electronique (AIME) de Toulouse. Ce projet vise à placer les étudiants dans un contexte proche d’une situation en milieu professionnel, où ils doivent concevoir, réaliser et tester une solution répondant à un cahier des charges. A l’issue des tests expérimentaux, les étudiants présenteront leurs résultats au travers d’un rapport écrit et d’une présentation orale. Ils devront analyser les écarts aux cahiers des charges et les écarts entre calculs théoriques/simulation et mesures ; puis proposer les voies et alternatives qui permettraient d’améliorer leurs solutions.

It is dedicated to oceanographic and atmospheric studies in the framework of the Mediterranean projects HyMeX (Hydrological cycle in the Mediterranean Experiment) and ChArMEx (Chemistry-Aerosol Mediterranean Experiment). The observatory will provide the international scientific community with facilities for setting up a multiparametric observation platform in a region with little instrumentation at present. HyMeX and ChArMEx objectives and actions in Corsica are presented.

Un développement considérable des projets de renforcement associant IR et nappes géosynthétiques (GSY) est constaté depuis une dizaine d’années, en relation notamment avec les projets de ligne ferroviaire à grande vitesse. L’état de l’art dont il est rendu compte décrit les traits spécifiques du fonctionnement des nappes GSY dans ce type d’ouvrages, en s’appuyant sur les observations faites sur des ouvrages instrumentés, des modèles physiques ou numériques. Cette revue a permis d’identifier les points liés au fonctionnement des nappes GSY sur un sol renforcé par IR, qu’une recherche spécifique doit permettre de mieux appréhender. Ils concernent : le choix du type de produit, la géométrie des nappes, les gains apportés quant à l’efficacité et/ou la pérennité des mécanismes mobilisés, l’influence des charges mobiles, le transfert des efforts entre les différentes couches (remblai ou sol compressible) et les lés individuels, etc… Cet objectif est celui du projet national ASIRI+ qui a été labellisé par le CODOR RAGC en décembre 2018. Les axes de recherche du projet liés aux nappes GSY sont exposés.

Les aéroports figurent parmi les équipements de transport incontournables des grandes métropoles. Celui de Paris-CDG, avec sa fonction de hub , est de très loin le plus fréquenté du pays. Au cours de la dernière décennie, il a connu une histoire agitée. Entre les projets d’extension et les perspectives d’accroissement de son trafic, la volonté des autorités publiques de le rapprocher du centre de Paris grâce au CDG Express et le projet de privatisation de son exploitant, le groupe ADP, il s’est retrouvé en première ligne de l’actualité du territoire métropolitain. Ces trois ambitions ont rappelé combien la question aéroportuaire dépasse l’échelle des pouvoirs locaux et interpelle de façon presque systématique le rôle de l’État à propos d’enjeux majeurs : transition écologique, souveraineté nationale, compétitivité du territoire... Si la crise du Covid-19 a pu servir de prétexte à certains choix politiques, elle n’a pas pour autant éclairé la position de l’État sur ce qu’il attend de la première plate-forme du pays dans le futur.

Après des années d’attentes et de revirements, le Conseil de gouvernement du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg décida, au mois de mai 2016, d’inscrire le projet de construction d’un nouveau bâtiment pour les Archives nationales sur la liste des grands projets d’infrastructures à soumettre à la Commission du contrôle de l’exécution budgétaire et de charger le Fonds Belval à entamer les études préliminaires d’APS et d’APD et de finaliser le projet de loi y afférent. Au cours de la séance publique du 23 juillet 2020, la Chambre des députés a adopté le projet de loi relative à la construction et à l’équipement d’un nouveau bâtiment pour les Archives nationales, et à l’aménagement des alentours. Implanté sur l’ancien site industriel Esch-Belval, dans le sud du pays, à 20 km de la capitale, le nouveau bâtiment s’étend sur quelque 16 000 m 2 et se compose de trois volumes qui se différencient par leurs fonctions et leur architecture : le volume abritant les surfaces de dépôts, le volume abritant les fonctions administratives, les locaux logistiques ainsi que les espaces publics de consultation et enfin le volume tampon. Le bâtiment est conçu comme un bâtiment à énergie positive et met en œuvre des matériaux écologiques et des techniques constructives à faible empreinte environnementale ainsi que des concepts d’économie circulaire notamment par l’emploi de matériaux recyclables et/ou recyclés.

The visit to these barbershops included interviewing the owners of the barbershops as well as reviewing the books used in the project. These barbershops display a variety of books for young black boys to read while they are waiting to get their hair cut. These books are located on a small bookcase in the corner of the barbershops’ waiting area. The idea of books in the barbershops was to help improve reading skills for Black boys in elementary school. The project was purposed and funded by the Charles County Public Schools Title I Program. The literacy project began in August 2018. Mr. Alvin Irby, who is a former kindergarten teacher in New York City, is the founder of Barbershop Books.

Electrokinetic displays are among the most important display technologies because of their low power consumption, wide viewing angle, and outdoor readability. As a result, they are regarded as excellent candidates for electronic paper. These types of displays are based on the controlled movement of charged pigment particles in a non-polar liquid under the influence of an electric field. Free charges practically do not exist in nonpolar colloids due to their low dielectric constant. However, the addition of a surfactant to non-polar colloids often leads to considerable charge-induced effects, such as increased electrical conductivity and particle stabilization. In this project, we aim to develop a novel electrokinetically driven display. An unprecedented display device is proposed, based on the concerted action of electro-osmosis and electrophoresis in a non-polar fluid. This method could reduce the switching time required to display information, and extend the applications of electrokinetic displays, enabling increased video speed and full color in the future.

Abstract Introduction High wound care complexity in a burn clinic mandates adequate nurse staffing and expertise to manage increasingly large wounds as outpatient. To achieve these service needs, appropriate charge capture is important for revenue generation. Our burn clinic performed a process improvement (PI) project using a Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) cycle to improve the accuracy of charge capture for wound care episodes over the past 2 fiscal years (FY). Methods In the first phase (PLAN), we reviewed charges by 1-month sampling in FY20. We engaged stakeholders (medical and nursing providers, managers, revenue integrity and compliance teams) through iterative meetings. We performed a stakeholder analysis to identify their level of engagement, influence, and attitudes toward this PI. We next devised strategies for stakeholders to champion the project. The team developed and trialed the process by focusing on burn wound care Common Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes. In FY21, nurses began to enter CPT codes in accordance with burn wound care performed (DO). We then repeated a 1-month sampling of charges in FY21 (STUDY). We are now consolidating the new strategy, refreshing stakeholder engagement, and expanding it within our hospital (ACT). Results We identified multiple billing errors and opportunities to improve CPT code documentation for nursing wound care procedures in FY20. Stakeholder interviews revealed a gap between accurate billing and current practice. We proposed to alter the wound care billing workflow. Stakeholder engagement was high and well-represented among professional disciplines. In FY21 implementation, clinic nurses received the clinic coding in-service and were oriented to resource tools. We verified billing practice adherence via the institutional compliance department. FY21 sampling indicated a marked increase in accurate charges for burn wound care in the clinic (net+ $36,691). We have implemented real-time audits, identified and documented problems as they arise, and obtained feedback from nurses. The clinic is investigating non-burn wound care charge capture and has disseminated our findings through institutional shared governance. Conclusions The financial performance of outpatient burn nursing needs to be closely evaluated in today’s shifting healthcare environment. Using a PDSA process led by nurses, the accuracy of charge capture for complex wound care has substantially improved and led to increased revenue. This model is potentially translatable to other specialty clinics.

155 Background: Nausea and vomiting (NV) are tracked by CMS as 2 of 10 top drivers of potentially avoidable hospital admissions for patients with cancer. These admissions pose a savings opportunity, yet limited literature exists on the costs of chemotherapy-induced NV (CINV). Burke’s 2010 assessment of 19,139 patients from 2004-2007 found CINV hospitalizations cost $7,448 and comprised the majority of overall CINV events and costs vs ambulatory events. Rashid (2016) evaluated 1,682 patients with metastatic breast cancer from 2007-2011 and found CINV admissions cost $10,074 in 2013 US dollars. Using data from the US Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality ’s Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project website (HCUPnet), and after applying adjustment factors from recent literature, we evaluated the cost of NV hospitalizations. Methods: Data on US hospital discharges for NV (based on primary discharge diagnosis) were obtained for 2014 from HCUPnet. Charges were adjusted using Smith’s (2015) model showing commercial insurers paid 48.7% of their hospital charges. They were further modified to include professional fees equaling 26.4% of facilities paid amounts, as reported by Peterson (2015). The CPI-Medical rate was used to adjust costs to 2016 dollars. A US payer perspective was used. The proportion of total NV discharges due to CINV is not known; it is also unknown whether charges for CINV differ from those for NV overall. Results: HCUPnet reported 37,730 hospital discharges for NV, with mean charges of $23,603 per event. The mean payment to hospitals, after adjustment to reflect amounts insurers actually paid, was estimated at $11,232 per event. Adding physicians’ professional fees incurred in the hospital setting yet normally charged separately yielded a total hospitalization cost of $14,197 ($15,120 in 2016 US dollars). Conclusions: Hospitalization for NV is common and costly; adjusted paid amounts averaged > $15,000 per discharge, a level consistent with the CINV literature. This economic impact, in addition to the consequences for patients’ quality of life, suggests the need for continued advances in preventing CINV and optimizing compliance with national antiemetic guidelines, particularly for chemotherapy with high emetogenic potential.

Students in this course are charged to develop innovative ideas to grow and sustain renewable energy research in the commonwealth of Virginia through a hands-on, experiential, and project-based approach. This project has helped to promote the much needed awareness of the importance of community-based solar energy by engaging various stake-holders in studying its impact and assessing its benefits, while supporting and encouraging solar energy growth in Virginia. The Dominion Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Dominion Power (Virginia), funded this experimental STEM course.The two principle outcomes of this project include: (a) Engaging students in a new hands-on course that will be developed called “STEM for Solar” and; (b) Engaging the students in self-directed research on a variety of projects involving Solar including Virginia energy issues, critical energy infrastructure, smart-grid technology, and sustainability.Project PROGRESS includes a multi-disciplinary team of faculty and experts from various disciplines and industry. Student research projects include developing new designs of technologies to make solar energy economical to storing solar energy and beyond. This course stands a model of collaboration between a local philanthropic organization and GMU. Many aspects of STEM and public policy, applicable to the entire student body of COS, and Engineering are reviewed.

The project implies single collision point equipped with a universal particle detector. The Aurora software framework has been developed for the SCT detector. It is based on trusted and widely used in high energy physics software packages, such as Gaudi, Geant4, and ROOT. At the same time, new ideas and developments are employed, in particular the Aurora project benefits a lot from the turnkey software for future colliders (Key4HEP) initiative. This paper describes the first release of the Aurora framework, summarizes its core technologies, structure and roadmap for the near future.

Dans cet article, nous proposons un essai d’estimation des coûts et de rentabilité d’un projet d’investissement dans le secteur de l’environnement pour l’agglomération de la ville de Kinshasa. En se focalisant spécifiquement sur la problématique de la gestion des déchets ménagers. L’étude fait recours à l’inventaire des moyens en estimant les couts, charges et recettes du projet d’investissement. Cette technique est complétée par le calcul de rentabilité du projet fondé sur les critères de choix d’investissement productif en univers certain, en considérant quatre critères basés sur le mécanisme d’actualisation. Il ressort que la valeur actuelle nette est positive avec un indice de profitabilité supérieur à 1 et un taux interne de rentabilité élevé et supérieur au taux d’actualisation, ce qui suggère que le projet est jugé rentable.

A single IC MAX756 which acts a buck booster was selected to achieve the task. A DC voltage of 3.5V is converted to 5V and fed into the device using the buck boost converter. This will use only the power from the DC AA batteries instead of using the conventional power from the AC mains. This special property of it enables us to charge our gadgets more efficiently with expended range of compatibility.

ABSTRACT The School Health Program (PSE) aims to promote health actions in schools through pedagogical tools developed between health and education. A study was carried out in the city of Matinhos, State of Paraná, Brazil, by the PSE within the scope of the Luiz Carlos dos Santos municipal school including 60 students from the 5th grades, from March to August 2019. Characteristics of participatory action-research and problematization methodology were used, being a type of social and qualitative study. For data collection, the method of Charles de Maguerez Arch was used. As research result, a pedagogical tool was developed at school and in the community’, the intervention project ‘School, health, environment, and community mobilized against the Aedes aegypti’. The study proved that the application of existing public policies such as the PSE, through intersectoriality, environmental health education, and mechanical vector control actions, without applicability of poison, are appropriate actions for the disease prevention, such as the elimination of vector breeding sites; thus, making effective the use of environmental health education in schools as a health promotion strategy.

For organizational change to happen, people have to change their behaviors. Leaders of organizational change therefore need to develop their abilities to influence others, sell issues, and overcome resistance to gain buy-in within organizations. This article describes the framework for a semester-long project in which MBA students practice these skills by planning and executing an organizational change project of their own design. In the process, they obtain developmental feedback on their growing change-management skills. The instructor does not need to arrange contact with organizations in which these change projects take place, as students are charged with developing their projects and negotiating necessary access if needed. Abstract Cyclotron Radiation Emission Spectroscopy (CRES) is a technique for measuring the kinetic energy of charged particles through a precision measurement of the frequency of the cyclotron radiation generated by the particle's motion in a magnetic field. The Project 8 collaboration is developing a next-generation neutrino mass measurement experiment based on CRES. One approach is to use a phased antenna array, which surrounds a volume of tritium gas, to detect and measure the cyclotron radiation of the resulting β-decay electrons. To validate the feasibility of this method, Project 8 has designed a test stand to benchmark the performance of an antenna array at reconstructing signals that mimic those of genuine CRES events. To generate synthetic CRES events, a novel probe antenna has been developed, which emits radiation with characteristics similar to the cyclotron radiation produced by charged particles in magnetic fields. This paper outlines the design, construction, and characterization of this Synthetic Cyclotron Antenna (SYNCA). Furthermore, we perform a series of measurements that use the SYNCA to test the position reconstruction capabilities of the digital beamforming reconstruction technique. We find that the SYNCA produces radiation with characteristics closely matching those expected for cyclotron radiation and reproduces experimentally the phenomenology of digital beamforming simulations of true CRES signals.

Lorsque l’on a fini de se bâtir sa maison, on s’aperçoit soudain qu’en la bâtissant on a appris quelque chose qu’on aurait dû savoir avant de… commencer. L’éternel et douloureux “trop tard !”. La mélancolie de tout achèvement ! » L’architecte, lui, anticipe. C’est son métier : il projette. C’est ce que fait, en 1914, Charles-Édouard Jeanneret (né un an après la publication du texte de Nietzsche) quand il invente un système d’ossature en béton qui doit permettre la construction en série de maisons à bon marché. Cette ossature – qu’il a baptisée Dom-ino – sera publiée en 1930, au début du premier tome de son Œuvre complète . Celui qui est devenu Le Corbusier écrit alors qu’elle aura attendu quinze ans pour se voir utilisée, dans le projet des maisons dites « Loucheur » (1929). En réalité, le schéma de cette ossature, ce dessin qui ouvre le premier tome de l’ Œuvre complète et va connaître une immense fortune critique parmi les historiens de l’architecture, représente pour tous les projets puristes « ce qu’il faut savoir avant de commencer », pour reprendre les termes de Nietzsche. On va voir que, si les projets puristes explorent les thèmes posés par Dom-ino, cela va bien au-delà de l’ossature ; il faudra longtemps à Le Corbusier pour en faire le tour, et ce n’est qu’après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, à la villa Shodhan, qu’il en sortira, littéralement, par le haut. Entre-temps, il aura montré comment un architecte peut regarder ses propres projets et, surtout, les voir.
