Streszczenie:
In this study, the point groups 𝐷2𝑑 and 𝐶3𝑖 which belong to tetragonal and trigonal crystal systems, respectively, are handled under the class sum approach. Symmetry groups were formed with symmetry elements that left these point groups unchanged and Cayley tables of related groups were obtained. Using these tables, the conjugates of the elements and the classes of the group were formed. Secular equations are written for each class sum obtained by the sum of the elements that make up the class. By solving these secular equations, the character vectors are obtained. Thus, the character tables were reconstructed with the calculated characters for both point groups under the class sum approach.

Streszczenie:
The emergence of deep learning-based methods for harvesting and yield estimates, including object detection or image segmentation-based methods, has notably improved performance but has also resulted in large annotation workloads. Considering the difficulty of such annotation, a method for locating fruit is developed in this study using only center-point labeling information. To address point labeling, the weighted Hausdorff distance is chosen as the loss function of the corresponding network, while deep layer aggregation (DLA) is used to contend with the variability in the visible area of the fruit. The performance of our method in terms of both detection and position is not inferior to the method based on Mask-RCNN. Experiments on a public apple dataset are provided to further demonstrate the performance of the proposed method. Specifically, no more than two targets had positioning deviations exceeding five pixels within the field of view.

Streszczenie:
In this paper, an edge point, line point, or curve point is called a feature point. A new approach to extract junction points and to describe feature points is proposed here. It accepts as input data a binary image resulting from a feature detector without thinning. In the binary image, each black point is first classified based on the number of lines passing through it and on a local property that the classes of its neighboring points are almost the same. Next, an aggregation method is presented to group those classified points into several segments. The orientation of each segment is kept either clockwise or counterclockwise. Conic curves are then used to describe these segments. Finally, junction points including corner points, cross points, branch points, and inflection points are located. It is worth mentioning that the proposed method does not use any thinning process and curvature information. The effectiveness of the approach is also verified by one illustrative example and two experimental results.

Streszczenie:
Airfoil design is essential for civil aircraft. A multi-point method is presented in this article to improve the aerodynamic performance of airfoil over a range of the flight envelope. This method combines computational fluid dynamics and numerical optimization. It comprises of three phases: 1) Airfoil shape parameterization method to develop candidate shapes. 2) Flow solver validation to calculate aerodynamic forces. 3) Searching for the optimized airfoil shape using the genetic algorithm. The major limitation of single-point design is the poor off-design performance. By basing the objective on a combination of the drag at three design points, the resulting overall performance can be improved with respect to the single-point result.

Streszczenie:
A recursive descent tree traversal algorithm is presented to find the point correspondences between two views. Given two sets of noisy 3-D feature points on multiple rigid objects at two time-sequential views, the points at the first view are constructed as a graph and then another graph is derived from those feature points at the second view so that a maximal matching point and minimum matching error is obtained. The correspondence of the vertices is then found. The algorithm can also he used when the number of points at two views are different. Therefore, after matching, the occluded points at either view or both views can be identified. The computation time of the proposed algorithm is large when the number of feature points is large. A data set splitting strategy for such cases, which can significantly reduce the computation time, is presented. Another algorithm presented is one in which motion parameters are estimated from a matched subgraph and are then used to guide the matching for the rest of the nodes. Computer simulations are performed to show the efficiency and accuracy of the algorithm.

Streszczenie:
An area in Switzerland of 260 km2 with 230 000 inhabitants was analysed for the feasibility of combined sewage overflow (CSO) tanks to reduce the pollution in receiving waters during rain events. The case study demonstrates the consideration of the point and of the non point pollution with respect to choice and application of water pollution control measures in urban drainage. For example, measures which reduce pollutant sources (e.g. substitution of phosphorus in detergents) or reduce surface runoff (e.g. dispersed retention or infiltration of rainfall runoff) are more efficient than a strategy of uniform and area wide application of CSO tanks. The new Swiss guideline for Integrated Urban Drainage Master Planning (IUDMP) introduces a radical changes in the scope and in the procedures of planning process. This guideline defines the urban drainage system as one single system, consisting of urban area, soil and ground water system, drainage network, waste water treatment plant and receiving waters. The consideration of comprehensive urban drainage system allows the choice of site-specific and problem-related measures.

Streszczenie:
The search for new approaches to the mental disordersclassification is one of the priority tasks in modern psychiatry. Current approaches evaluate mental disorders in isolation, ignoring the fact that they are a multisystem pathology that affects not only mental functions, but also a wide range of somatic manifestations. However, there is more and more reason to consider mental disorders as multisystem diseases. This approach is of interest not only for explaining the high comorbidity of somatic and mental disorders, but also in studying the pathophysiological mechanisms that determine the risks and course of multisystem diseases. This strategy can be the basis for the fundamentally new approaches to the systematics of mental disorders with both theoretical and practical significance. To integratesuch an approach, it is necessary to determine the “starting point”, which may be the evaluation of mental disorders andinherited metabolic disorders interaction.

Streszczenie:
Abstract This paper presents a new method of detecting vehicles by using a simple and effective algorithm. The features of a vehicle are the most important aspects in detection of vehicles. The corner points are considered for the proposed algorithm. A large number of points are densely packed within the area of a vehicle, and the points are calculated by using the Harris corner detector. Making use of the fact that they are densely packed, grouping of these points is carried out. This grouping indicates that the group of corners belongs to each vehicle, and such groupings play a vital role in the algorithm. Once grouping is done, the next step is to eliminate the background noise. The Lucas-Kande algorithm is used to track the extracted corner points. Each corner point of the vehicle is tracked to make the output stable and reliable. The proposed algorithm is new, detect vehicles in multiple conditions, and also works for complex environments.
