Abstract In this research, we using Differential Scanning Calorimetry ( DSC ) of the solid-liquid equilibria for seven organic binary mixtures―Benzoic acid ( 1 ) + Azelaic acid ( 7 ), Malonic acid ( 2 ) + Pimelic acid ( 5 ), Succinic acid ( 3 ) + Pimelic acid ( 5 ), Glutaric acid ( 4 ) + Suberic acid ( 6 ), Glutaric acid ( 4 ) + Azelaic acid ( 7 ), Glutaric acid ( 4 ) + Sebacic acid ( 8 ), Pimelic acid ( 5 ) + Sebacic acid ( 8 ). Finally, the experimental results are correlated using the Wilson, non-random two-liquid ( NRTL ) and Clarke-Glew ( CG ) activity coefficient models, and use these data to describe the presentation that predict the eutectic temperatures and liquidus temperatures. This study can supply the data of solid-liquid equilibrium for developing in thermodynamics thesis and doing research about thermodynamics and providing basis reference data for industry segregation process.

Solid-liquid equilibria of the following nine systems have been measured using Differential Scanning Calorimetry ( DSC ):Benzoic acid ( 1 ) + 3-methylpentanedioic acid ( 2 )、Benzoic acid ( 1 ) + 2,3-dimethylbutanedioic acid ( 2 )、Heptanedioic acid ( 1 ) + 2,3-dimethylbutanedioic acid ( 2 )、Heptanedioic acid ( 1 ) + 2,2-dimethylbutanedioic acid ( 2 )、Heptanedioic acid ( 1 ) + 3-methylpentanedioic acid ( 2 )、2,2-dimethylbutanedioic acid ( 1 ) + 3-methylpentanedioic acid ( 2 )、Pentanedioic acid ( 1 ) + 2,2-dimethylbutanedioic acid ( 2 )、Pentanedioic acid ( 1 ) + 3-methylpentanedioic acid ( 2 )、Pentanedioic acid ( 1 ) + 2,3-dimethylbutanedioic acid ( 2 ). The experimental data were compared with the results calculated from the Wilson and the NRTL model. The study can supply the data of solid-liquid equilibrium for developing in thermodynamics thesis and providing basis reference data for industry segregation process.
