Pełny tekst źródłaIn the context of a growing globalization, the globalization of economies and organizations has a strong impact on the human resources management practices.Indeed, more and more multinational companies recruit actors from various countries and therefore different cultures. Management of the diversity has become essential for these companies locating abroad.This research aims to highlight the complexity of managing cultural diversity and the multitude of factors which influence the behavior of managers/agents in subsidiaries of the multinationals French firms implanted in Tunisia.For this purpose, we study the literature of contributions on the multinational company and the transfer of managerial practices as well as the influence of cultural variable on the managerial practices within subsidiaries by taking into account feedback from internal stakeholders. We then propose an innovative theoretical framework articulating the neo-institutional approach and the culturalism approach.Our research methodology based the overall combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis. The survey sample consists of 83 local and expatriate executives working in 14 French subsidiaries implanted in different regions in Tunisia.The quantitative study is based on questionnaires sent to various actors; it is supplemented by 22 interviews semi-structured with both local and expats executives.This thesis has highlighted that the cooperation between actors from different cultures requires a consideration of cultural variable to manage subsidiaries. It also highlighted the cultural features within the French subsidiaries implanted in Tunisia as well as the dominant cultural values specific to the Tunisian executives.Key words : Multinational companies- the managerial practices -cultural variable- the dominant cultural values- Management of the diversity

Pełny tekst źródłaOur object of research concerns the study of the relevance of the Gender Mainstreaming approach in HRM. Reconsidering the universal model criticized by the feminist movements for its “apparent neutrality” in favour of a male domination, the first part of our thesis confronts two theoretical approaches of Human Resources Management which confront the monolithic base of the traditional HRM model : the management of diversity on the one hand, and the dual perspective of the Gender Mainstreaming approach in HRM, on the other hand. This dialectical analysis clarifies the relevance of the Gender Mainstreaming approach in HRM, which is the subject thereafter of an empirical confrontation in the second part of our thesis. Subsequently, the empirical prospective study restitutes the pertinence perceived of the emerging approach by 26 Human Resources Manager of companies located in Alsace. Using investigation per questionnaire supplemented by 14 in depth interviews, the findings of our empirical study suggest that as regards Human Resources Management, the monolithic model and the Gender Mainstreaming approach in HRM have to cohabit together to train “an eternal triangle” with the management of diversity

Pełny tekst źródłaMy study focuses on questions of power, control and resistance within worker co-operatives. In a first part, I analyse a situation involving interactions between representatives of the co-operative movement so as to show the role played by critique in their understanding of their pluralistic environment. The remainder of my work draws on the ethnographic study of a co-operative sheet-metal factory with some thirty workers-owners, in which I have worked as an operative during one year. Within this co-operative, I evidence the presence of two main forms of control. The first draws on bottom-up mechanisms, through which co-operators undermine the power of their chiefs so as to insure the democratic functioning of the organisation. The second is a form of peer-control, based on craft ethics, which co-operators rely on in order to prevent the managerialisation of their organisation. My research work thus contributes to show the importance of studying alternative forms of organisation such as co-operatives for furthering our understanding of questions of power, control and resistance as well as the way in which a strong professional culture can serve as an impediment to processes of co-operative degeneration
