Streszczenie:
With the prevalence of online review websites, large-scale data promote the necessity of focused analysis. This task aims to capture the information that is highly relevant to a specific aspect. However, the broad scope of the aspects of the various products makes this task overarching but challenging. A commonly used solution is to modify the topic models with additional information to capture the features for a specific aspect (referred to as a targeted aspect). However, the existing topic models, either perform the full analysis to capture features as many as possible or estimate the similarity to capture features as coherent as possible, overlook the fine-grained semantic relations between the features, resulting in the captured features coarse and confusing. In this paper, we propose a novel Hierarchical Features-based Topic Model (HFTM) to extract targeted aspects from online reviews, then to capture the aspect-specific features. Specifically, our model can not only capture the direct features posing target-to-feature semantics but also capture the latent features posing feature-to-feature semantics. The experiments conducted on real-world datasets demonstrate that HFTMl outperforms the state-of-the-art baselines in terms of both aspect extraction and document classification.

Musicologists and sociologists have long been interested in patterns of music consumption and their relation to socioeconomic status. In particular, the Omnivore Thesis examines the relationship between these variables and the diversity of music a person consumes. Using data from social media users of Last.fm and Twitter, we design and evaluate a measure that reasonably captures diversity of musical tastes. We use that measure to explore associations between musical diversity and variables that capture socioeconomic status, demographics, and personal traits such as openness and degree of interest in music (into-ness). Our musical diversity measure can provide a useful means for studies of musical preferences and consumption. Also, our study of the Omnivore Thesis provides insights that extend previous survey and interview-based studies.

Background/Objectives: Human movements in dance are difficult to train without taking an actual class. In this paper, an interactive system of dance guidance is proposed to teach dance motions using examples.Methods/Statistical analysis: In the proposed system, a set of example motions are captured from experts through a method of marker-free motion capture, which consists of multiple Kinect cameras. The captured motions are calibrated and optimally reconstructed into a motion database. For the efficient exchange of motion data between a student and an instructor, a posture-based motion search and multi-mode views are provided for online lessons.Findings: To capture accurate example motions, the proposed system solves the joint occlusion problem by using multiple Kinect cameras. An iterative closest point (ICP) method is used to unify the multiple camera data into the same coordinate system, which generates an output motion in real time. Comparing to a commercial system, our system can capture various dance motions over an average of 85% accuracy, as shown in the experimental results. Using the touch screen devices, a student can browse a desired motion from the database to start a dance practice and send own motion to an instructor for feedback. By conducting online dance lessons such as ballet, K-pop, and traditional Korean, our experimental results show that the participating students can train their dance skills over a given period.Improvements/Applications: Our system is applicable to any student who wants to learn dance motions without taking an actual class andto receive online feedback from a distant instructor.

Customers increasingly consult opinions expressed online before making their final decisions. However, inherent factors such as culture may moderate the criteria and the weights individuals use to form their expectations and evaluations. Therefore, not all opinions expressed online match customers’ personal preferences, neither can firms use this information to deduce general conclusions. Our study explores this issue in the context of airline services using Hofstede’s framework as a theoretical anchor. We gauge the effect of each dimension as well as that of cultural distance between the passenger and the airline on the overall satisfaction with the flight as well as specific service factors. Using topic modeling, we also capture the effect of culture on review text and identify factors that are not captured by conventional rating scales. Our results provide significant insights for airline managers about service factors that affect more passengers from specific cultures leading to higher satisfaction/dissatisfaction.

Assessment has always been fundamental to teaching as it aims to gauge the impact of the teaching on students learning. The current assessment in teaching computer literacy is objective assessment that focuses on making it intentional, informative, and formalized. Although this assessment is the best way when assessing large groups of students at one limited time, it has a drawback of being limited to check the knowledge of understanding terminology and recalling steps of a particular process. This study introduces a screen-capture technology based approach to performative and authentic assessment. It involved design and implementation of screen-capture assignments to assess computer maintenance skills. The sample consisted of 28 students enrolled in computer hardware and software maintenance classes. Data from students was collected through a multi-modal student survey and a semi-structured interview. The results analysis has indicated that screen-capture performative assessment promotes students’ engagement and learning level of solving real-world problems.

In order to better improve online teaching during the epidemic, teachers can adjust the teaching according to the students’ understanding. During the epidemic period, online teaching has become a basic way for teachers to teach. One big problem with online teaching is that the lecturers find it hard to see the students’ facial expressions. According to the study, the students’ facial expressions are essential for the instructor to understand the students’ understanding of the course material. There are some relevant studies on the recognition of human facial expressions. However, most of them did not consider some expressions such as “Enlightened,” “Confused,” or “Bored.” This study helps teachers to improve the quality of teaching by designing a program to provide them with students’ facial expressions. The study, implemented on students’ computers, can capture their faces from a camera, identify some common and useful facial expressions, and send them to lecturers regularly during online lectures. The main research methods used in this paper are as follows: (1) Use the face recognition algorithm provided by OpenCV to capture faces. (2) Train a convolutional neural network model to recognize the expression “Happy,” “Surprised,” “Neutral,” “Enlightened,” “Confusion,” and “Boredom.” (3) Use the message protocol EMQX to transmit the expression information. This study can successfully capture faces, and about 80% accuracy can identify expressions and successfully transmit expression information. This study contains some expressions rarely studied by others and is innovative in the field of facial expression recognition. Datasets, deep learning models, and results are available for other research teams.

Whether the use of lecture capture technology helps improve student performance is a contested area of research. In most cases, the answer relies on the degree to which online recordings supplement or substitute for live or live-streamed lecture delivery. We present a parameter, the technical rate of substitution, which captures this information holding student performance constant. We introduce a method to estimate this measure, which we applied to a pilot sample of students in a first-year quantitative methods class. We find imperfect substitutability: live lectures are, in the context of our sample, a less resource-intensive technology than the corresponding online recording to produce a set exam score. Our main contribution is the proposed parameter and the method to derive it. Its calculation significantly facilitates comparison and consolidation of previous research and provides valuable insights on the relative effectiveness of different learning platforms to inform instructor best practice and higher education policy. Implications for practice or policy: Instructors can use our measure to evaluate their students’ effective use of online learning technologies. Course designers can use the measure to select the right mix of online and offline delivery methods. Educators can use the measure to determine the most effective platform for delivering introductory, substantive or review material. Our method helps researchers compare and generalise results from existing studies of the relative performance of online and offline educational technologies.

In February 2012, Light Pollution Prevention Act was enacted and implemented in Korea. Under the new law, architectural exterior lightings and advertisement lightings will have to observe the permissible light emitting levels set by the enforcement ordinance of the law. In accordance with Article 12 of the law, the businesses which are legally required to observe the permissible light emitting levels should examine if their products satisfy legal requirements through the measurement of luminance. To measure the luminance of architectural external lightings and advertisement lightings, expensive measuring equipment is needed. For many small businesses, however, the measuring equipment is too expensive, and this kind cost burden may cause resistance against Light Pollution Prevention Act. In addition, the businesses are lack of expertise relating to the measurement of luminance. Therefore, this study proposed a concept of online luminance analysis services for the general public including the management and employees from the related industry. The online luminance analysis service adopted a method to analyze luminance by HDR-imaging videos using a common DSLR camera. In addition, a website to provide online services was constructed. The online luminance analysis services process proposed in this study include the followings: First, a website user should learn and follow how to capture and how to set the digital camera instructed on the website. Second, architectural exterior lightings and advertisement lightings should be captured using a digital camera. Third, the captured image files have to be uploaded on the website. Fourth, the uploaded image files should be analyzed by the website manager. Fifth, the analyzed results should be provided to the website users.

Three-dimensional morphologies of wear particles are important information sources for machine condition assessment and fault diagnosis. However, existing three-dimensional image acquisition systems, such as laser scanning confocal microscopy and atomic force microscopy, cannot be directly applied in condition-based maintenance of machines. In order to automatically acquire three-dimensional information of wear debris for online condition monitoring, a microfluidic device consisting of an oil flow channel and a video imaging system is developed. This paper focuses on the control of particle motions. A microchannel is designed to ensure the continuous rotation of particles such that their three-dimensional features can be captured. The relationships between running torque and channel height and particle size are analysed to determine the channel height. An infinite fluid field is considered to make sure that the particles rotate around the same axis to capture 360 degree views. Based on this, the cross section of the microchannel is determined at 5 mm × 0.2 mm (height × width) to capture the wear debris under 200 µm. A CMOS sensor is used to image the particles in multiple views and then three-dimensional features of wear debris (e.g. thickness, height aspect ratio and sphericity) are obtained. Two experiments were carried out to evaluate the performances of the designed system. The results demonstrate that (1) the microfluidic device is effective in capturing multiple view images of wear particles various in sizes and shapes; (2) spatial morphological characteristics of wear particles can be constructed using a sequence of multi-view images.

Motion capture systems are crucial in developing multi-quadrotor systems due to their ability to provide fast and accurate ground truth measurements for tracking and control. This paper presents the implementation details and experimental validation of a relatively low-cost motion-capture system for multi-quadrotor motion planning using an event camera. The real-time, multi-quadrotor detection and tracking tasks are performed using a deep learning network You-Only-Look-Once (YOLOv5) and a k-dimensional (k-d) tree, respectively. An optimization-based decentralized motion planning algorithm is implemented to demonstrate the effectiveness of this motion capture system. Extensive experimental evaluations were performed to (1) compare the performance of four deep-learning algorithms for high-speed multi-quadrotor detection on event-based data, (2) study precision, recall, and F1 scores as functions of lighting conditions and camera motion, and (3) investigate the scalability of this system as a function of the number of quadrotors flying in the arena. Comparative analysis of the deep learning algorithms on a consumer-grade GPU demonstrates a 4.8× to 12× sampling/inference rate advantage that YOLOv5 provides over representative one- and two-stage detectors and a 1.14× advantage over YOLOv4. In terms of precision and recall, YOLOv5 performed 15% to 18% and 27% to 41% better than representative state-of-the-art deep learning networks. Graceful detection and tracking performance degradation was observed in the face of progressively darker ambient light conditions. Despite severe camera motion, YOLOv5 precision and recall values of 94% and 98% were achieved, respectively. Finally, experiments involving up to six indoor quadrotors demonstrated the scalability of this approach. This paper also presents the first open-source event camera dataset in the literature, featuring over 10,000 fully annotated images of multiple quadrotors operating in indoor and outdoor environments.

Millions of students follow online classes which are delivered in video format. Several studies examine the impact of these video formats on engagement and learning using explicit measures and outline the need to also investigate the implicit cognitive and emotional states of online learners. Our study compared two video formats in terms of engagement (over time) and learning in a between-subject experiment. Engagement was operationalized using explicit and implicit neurophysiological measures. Twenty-six (26) subjects participated in the study and were randomly assigned to one of two conditions based on the video shown: infographic video or lecture capture. The infographic video showed animated graphics, images, and text. The lecture capture showed a professor, providing a lecture, filmed in a classroom setting. Results suggest that lecture capture triggers greater emotional engagement over a shorter period, whereas the infographic video maintains higher emotional and cognitive engagement over longer periods of time. Regarding student learning, the infographic video contributes to significantly improved performance in matters of difficult questions. Additionally, our results suggest a significant relationship between engagement and student performance. In general, the higher the engagement, the better the student performance, although, in the case of cognitive engagement, the link is quadratic (inverted U shaped).

While prior work mostly focuses on post-level recommendation, we aim to explore conversation context and model the interaction patterns therein. Furthermore, to characterize personal interests from interleaving user interactions, we learn (1) global interactions , represented by topic and discourse word clusters to reflect users’ content and pragmatic preferences, and (2) local interactions , encoding replying relations and chronological order of conversation turns to characterize users’ prior behavior. Built on collaborative filtering, our model captures global interactions via discovering word distributions to represent users’ topical interests and discourse behaviors, while local interactions are explored with graph-structured networks exploiting both reply structure and temporal features. Extensive experiments on three datasets from Twitter and Reddit show that our model coupling global and local interactions significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art model. Further analyses show that our model is able to capture meaningful features from global and local interactions, which results in its superior performance in conversation recommendation.

We present a probabilistic language model that captures temporal dynamics and conditions on arbitrary non-linguistic context features. These context features serve as important indicators of language changes that are otherwise difficult to capture using text data by itself. We learn our model in an efficient online fashion that is scalable for large, streaming data. With five streaming datasets from two different genres—economics news articles and social media—we evaluate our model on the task of sequential language modeling. Our model consistently outperforms competing models.

Abstract Motivation Laplacian matrices capture the global structure of networks and are widely used to study biological networks. However, the local structure of the network around a node can also capture biological information. Local wiring patterns are typically quantified by counting how often a node touches different graphlets (small, connected, induced sub-graphs). Currently available graphlet-based methods do not consider whether nodes are in the same network neighbourhood. To combine graphlet-based topological information and membership of nodes to the same network neighbourhood, we generalize the Laplacian to the Graphlet Laplacian, by considering a pair of nodes to be ‘adjacent’ if they simultaneously touch a given graphlet. Results We utilize Graphlet Laplacians to generalize spectral embedding, spectral clustering and network diffusion. Applying Graphlet Laplacian-based spectral embedding, we visually demonstrate that Graphlet Laplacians capture biological functions. This result is quantified by applying Graphlet Laplacian-based spectral clustering, which uncovers clusters enriched in biological functions dependent on the underlying graphlet. We explain the complementarity of biological functions captured by different Graphlet Laplacians by showing that they capture different local topologies. Finally, diffusing pan-cancer gene mutation scores based on different Graphlet Laplacians, we find complementary sets of cancer-related genes. Hence, we demonstrate that Graphlet Laplacians capture topology-function and topology-disease relationships in biological networks. The move from paper to online is not only necessary for remote working, it is also significantly more sustainable. This trend has seen a rising need for the high-quality digitization of content from pages and whiteboards to sharable online material. However, capturing this information is not always easy nor are the results always satisfactory. Available scanning apps vary in their usability and do not always produce clean results, retaining surface imperfections from the page or whiteboard in their output images. CleanPage, a novel smartphone-based document and whiteboard scanning system, is presented. CleanPage requires one button-tap to capture, identify, crop, and clean an image of a page or whiteboard. Unlike equivalent systems, no user intervention is required during processing, and the result is a high-contrast, low-noise image with a clean homogenous background. Results are presented for a selection of scenarios showing the versatility of the design. CleanPage is compared with two market leader scanning apps using two testing approaches: real paper scans and ground-truth comparisons. These comparisons are achieved by a new testing methodology that allows scans to be compared to unscanned counterparts by using synthesized images. Real paper scans are tested using image quality measures. An evaluation of standard image quality assessments is included in this work, and a novel quality measure for scanned images is proposed and validated. The user experience for each scanning app is assessed, showing CleanPage to be fast and easier to use.

Abstract We provide integrated protein sequence-based predictions via https://bio2byte.be/b2btools/. The aim of our predictions is to identify the biophysical behaviour or features of proteins that are not readily captured by structural biology and/or molecular dynamics approaches. Upload of a FASTA file or text input of a sequence provides integrated predictions from DynaMine backbone and side-chain dynamics, conformational propensities, and derived EFoldMine early folding, DisoMine disorder, and Agmata β-sheet aggregation. These predictions, several of which were previously not available online, capture ‘emergent’ properties of proteins, i.e. the inherent biophysical propensities encoded in their sequence, rather than context-dependent behaviour (e.g. final folded state). In addition, upload of a multiple sequence alignment (MSA) in a variety of formats enables exploration of the biophysical variation observed in homologous proteins. The associated plots indicate the biophysical limits of functionally relevant protein behaviour, with unusual residues flagged by a Gaussian mixture model analysis. The prediction results are available as JSON or CSV files and directly accessible via an API. Online visualisation is available as interactive plots, with brief explanations and tutorial pages included. The server and API employ an email-free token-based system that can be used to anonymously access previously generated results.

Purpose Aspect based sentiment classification is valuable for providing deeper insight into online consumer reviews (OCR). However, the majority of the previous studies explicitly determine the orientation of aspect related sentiment bearing word and overlook the aspect-context. Therefore, this paper aims to propose an aspect-context aware sentiment classification of OCR for deeper and more accurate insights. Design/methodology/approach In the proposed methodology, first, aspect descriptions and sentiment bearing words are extracted. Then, the skip-gram model is used to extract the first set of features to capture contextual information. For the second category of features, cosine similarity is used between a pre-defined seed word list and aspects, to capture aspect context sensitive sentiments. The third set of features includes weighted word vectors using term frequency-inverse document frequency. After concatenating features, ensemble classifier is used using three base classifiers. Findings Experimental results on two real-world data sets with variable lengths, acquired from Amazon.com and TripAdvisor.com, show that the advised ensemble approach significantly outperforms sentiment classification accuracy of state-of-the-art and baseline methods. Originality/value This method is capable of capturing the correct sentiment of ambiguous words and other special words by extracting aspect-context using word vector similarity instead of expensive lexical resources, and hence, shows superior performance in terms of accuracy as compared to other methods.

Purpose For robots to more actively interact with the surrounding environment in object manipulation tasks or walking, they must understand the physical attributes of objects and surface materials they encounter. Dynamic tactile sensing can effectively capture rich information about material properties. Hence, methods that convey and interpret this tactile information to the user can improve the quality of human–machine interaction. This paper aims to propose a visual-tactile cross-modal retrieval framework to convey tactile information of surface material for perceptual estimation. Design/methodology/approach The tactile information of a new unknown surface material can be used to retrieve perceptually similar surface from an available surface visual sample set by associating tactile information to visual information of material surfaces. For the proposed framework, the authors propose an online low-rank similarity learning method, which can effectively and efficiently capture the cross-modal relative similarity between visual and tactile modalities. Findings Experimental results conducted on the Technischen Universität München Haptic Texture Database demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework and the method. Originality/value This paper provides a visual-tactile cross-modal perception method for recognizing material surface. By the method, a robot can communicate and interpret the conveyed information about the surface material properties to the user; it will further improve the quality of robot interaction.

Use of multimedia for teaching and learning, particularly digital video, has become ubiquitous in higher education. This is driven in part by the growth in blended pedagogies and an increase in students learning solely or partly online. It is also influenced by relatively inexpensive media production equipment, faster internet speeds, student access to mobile devices and a rise in media production skill sets. Where students are studying solely online, this content becomes essential as it replaces the traditional lecture in the design of the course (“course” refers to individual course, subject or unit of study). Digital video can be an extremely effective way to reach students with course content. One of the main benefits is the flexibility it affords. Students can view the course material when and where they like, on multiple devices. They can rewind, slow down or speed it up – they can revisit particular videos prior to assessments. There have been two primary drivers of the development process of this content. Firstly, a focus on high quality, and secondly, a focus on accessibility. Videos have the potential to be more inclusive as they are accessible to students with a range of disabilities. We have included subtitles with all videos as a minimum requirement. What follows is a case study on the creation and distribution of a large volume (around 6000 items) of digital content designed to support teaching and learning in a newly created suite of completely online undergraduate degrees. This case study will outline the various challenges which are presented by creating and supporting this volume of material and is informed by the results of a survey of students, detailing their usage patterns and habits.

Everyday communication is enriched by the visual environment that listeners concomitantly link to the linguistic input. If and when visual cues are integrated into the mental meaning representation of the communicative setting, is still unclear. In our earlier findings, the integration of linguistic cues (i.e., topic-hood of a discourse referent) reduced discourse updating costs of the mental representation as indicated by reduced sentence-initial processing costs of the non-canonical word order in German. In the present study we tried to replicate our earlier findings by replacing the linguistic cue by a visual attention-capture cue presented below the threshold of perception in order to direct participant’s attention to a depicted referent. While this type of cue has previously been shown to modulate word order preferences in sentence production, we found no effects on sentence comprehension. We discuss possible theory-based reasons for the null effect of the implicit visual cue as well as methodological caveats and issues that should be considered in future research on multimodal meaning integration.

Engagement, as a multidimensional construct, fluctuates due to various factors. Previous research that examined engagement as a subjective experience was mainly concerned with the qualitative structure of engagement in different contexts (e.g., task difficulty, aesthetics). Few studies have examined the user’s subjective engagement as a given task progresses over time. This paper reports findings from an online study that aimed to assess the usefulness of subjective measures in capturing momentary feelings related to task engagement, under varying task duration and difficulty conditions. The Short Stress State Questionnaire (SSSQ) and the User Engagement Scale (UES) were used to capture self-reported engagement during a Tetris game. The sensitivity of scales to task conditions and relationships among subscales were examined. Results showed that changes in SSSQ were sensitive to difficulty levels, and Engagement obtained from the SSSQ was highly correlated with UES subscales. SSSQ may be a particularly useful tool to capture participants’ momentary feelings during a task via its Engagement, Distress, and Worry subscales.

Social media is playing an increasingly vital role in information dissemination. But with dissemination being more distributed, content often makes multiple hops, and consequently has opportunity to change. In this paper we focus on content that should be changing the least, namely quoted text. We find changes to be frequent, with their likelihood depending on the authority of the copied source and the type of site that is copying. We uncover patterns in the rate of appearance of new variants, their length, and popularity, and develop a simple model that is able to capture them. These patterns are distinct from ones produced when all copies are made from the same source, suggesting that information is evolving as it is being processed collectively in online social media.

Today, numerous models and metrics are available to capture and characterize static properties of online social networks. When it comes to understanding their dynamics and evolution, however, research offers little interms of metrics or models. Current metrics are limited to logical time clocks, and unable to capture interactions with external factors that rely on physical time clocks. In this paper, our goal is to take initial steps towards building a set of metrics for characterizing social network dynamics based on physical time. We focus our attention on two metrics that capture the "eagerness" of users in building social structure. More specifically, we propose metrics of link delay and triadic closure delay, two metrics that capture the time delay between when a link or triadic closure is possible, and when they actually instantiate in the trace. Considered over time or across traces, the value of these metrics can provide insight on the speed at which users act in building and extending their social neighborhoods. We apply these metrics to two real traces of social network dynamics from the Renren and Facebook networks. We show that these metrics are generally consistent across networks, but their differences reveal interesting properties of each system. We argue that they can be attributed to factors such as network maturity, environmental and social contexts, and services offered by network provider, all factors independent of the network topology and captured by our proposed metrics. Finally, we find that triadic closure delays capture the ease of neighbor discovery in social networks, and can be strongly influenced by friend recommendation systems.

This study aims to analyze the empirical evidence of Go-Jek Indonesia's marketing strategy after the exit of the market from the Indonesian online transportation market. The development of the online motorcycle taxi market is very dynamic, in 2018 Uber left Indonesia and was acquired by Grab. After this event, Go-jek needs a revaluation of its marketing strategy to capture the opportunity to move consumers from Uber and strengthen its position as the ruler of the online motorcycle taxi market in Indonesia. The main finding of this research is that Go-jek is expected to conduct revaluation on the segmentation and positioning of the Go-jek brand in the market. The expansion of segmentation is needed to capture first-class consumer opportunities and increase brand awareness. Go-jek can use the promo code marketing strategy in its application to increase the opportunity to purchase services again. The development of features that accept credit cards as payments can also be an effective marketing strategy to capture Uber consumers. Research recommends Go-jek to develop credit card features, Go-jek Premium with high-capacity vehicles, promotion at events with top-class economic segmentation and expansion of marketing strategies in the aggregate.

The primary purpose of deploying a lecture capture method of course delivery is to enhance student performance in online classes. In this study, recordings of classroom lectures are available to students in online sections of the course, as well as those taking the class in face-to-face class sections. We examine the effects of viewing these recorded lectures on student performance in principles of economics courses (macro and micro) over the course of five years. The setting is a small regional university that serves an extensive rural area. The dataset consists of close to 700 students, 55% of which enrolled in online course sections. Course grades, as the dependent variable, are regressed on measures of personal characteristics and academic maturity, as well as use of the recorded lectures. Results indicate that online students who watch the recorded lectures earn course grades that are significantly higher than counterparts who do not. There is also evidence that students in the face-to-face course sections also benefit significantly from watching recorded lectures.

The quality of these data sets has been thoroughly evaluated and demonstrated. For example, georeferencing accuracies in the centimetre range using these datasets in combination with image-based georeferencing have been achieved. Due to the differences of students' English proficiency and the rapid changes in reading interests, online personalized English reading recommendation is a highly challenging problem. Although some works have been proposed to address the dynamic change of recommendation, there are two issues with these methods. First, it only considers whether students have read the recommended articles. Second, these methods often fail to capture the real-time changing interests of users. To address the above challenges, a deep Q-network based recommendation framework was proposed. The authors further use the user's behavior and scores as reward information to get more user's feedback. In addition, a personalized adaptive module was introduced to capture the short-term interests on the fly and utilized the consistent loss of KL divergence to distill the knowledge from the online model. Extensive experiments on the offline and online dataset in the IWiLL website demonstrate the superior performance of the method.
