Streszczenie:

The cultural logic of postmodernity is encrusted with artistic layers and forms of oral art in their new horizons of usage and in their neo-oralities of performance within the pressures of cultural change and continuity arising from contemporary existence. The discursive and performative limits of oral art forms are dismantled due to the surging interface with the new media, such that transitional models and cross-cultural versions of the same artistic product are created. The pressures of urbanization, the mixed bag of hybridization and globalization, postmodern social pressures and values, and the strides made by science and technology have created neo-oralities, new horizons, and fresh or hybrid versions with which to interrogate Tiv oral artistic products in this digital age, opening up endless vistas and possibilities for oral products. This essay examines the new horizons, versions, and neo-oralities as they create synergy and meanings in the various media of technology. Also highlighted are the dismantled boundaries of the discipline and the discursive limits of oral artistic forms within the developmental trajectory of disciplines, artists, societies, and countries. Finally, a theoretical construct is called for to match the new trends, along with an appeal for greater research attention to be paid to this increasingly important interface with the pressures of change as they help shape culture and art forms.

Currently, a significant number of definitions of terms of different types of economy, including the term «new economy», has been developed, and the content of these definitions is often duplicated or not specific. Vertical and horizontal interrelations of these terms are not often expressed clearly, which reduces the quality of scientific researches in the field of economics and management. The subject of the study is the typology of the term “new economy” and related terms. The purpose of the study is clarification and addition of the typology of the term “new economy” and related terms, as well as to develop their adequate definitions. The hypothesis of the study is based on the fact, that the definitions of the studied terms include duplicate components and classification features or do not contain the necessary components and classification features. Therefore, these definitions can be refined and supplemented on the basis of terminological analysis. Logical-structural methods have been chosen as research methods: terminological analysis, grouping, typology and classification. The major components and classification features of definitions of different types of the economics have been revealed and grouped in the article. Classification features and their combinations have been substantiated. Options for the classifications of different types of economics have been developed and their structure has been justified. The basic and refined definitions of different types of economics have been proposed. The scientific contribution has been provided by the correct choice and use of the empirical base, application of adequate research methods, the substantiation of the author’s typology of terms of different types of economics, allowing to obtain their unambiguous definitions.The results of the study allow to adjust a number of provisions of the economics theory, ensuring the improvement of its terminological apparatus and structure.

In this article, we offer, through a new typology, a way to portray and understand the diversity of community music’s organizational foundations and purposes. Typologies are a common descriptive and interpretive device for understanding patterns of activity. Some researchers of community music have, explicitly or implicitly, developed a number of typologies of community music organizations. Our new typology is systematically aligned to capture the social and musical variability among community music organizations. It then puts the typology to work by providing brief examples, drawn from Australian research, of each of its proposed types. This new typology is intended to allow researchers and practitioners to understand how different community music ensembles are similar or dissimilar, and make comparative discussions clearer and more systematic, offering give a clear frame for understanding present and possible future community music-making groups and organizations.

<p>An abstract is a brief and comprehensive summary of the contents of the article. It allows readers to survey the various definitions that have been presented by scholars about the concept of curriculum as a “plan” or “product”, and due to the vast variation of definitions, many classifications have been made in regarding them. Since “the curriculum” is not a “type” but has “types” itself, it is not possible to present a comprehensive definition for all those curricula such as intended, implemented, learned, implicit, hidden, sterilized, omitted, neglected, empty, taught, not taught, existed, non-existed, and so on. Therefore each curriculum must be defined based on its own unique type. In this article by using a new and innovative approach, more than 200 types of curricula, based on their common traits, are classified into 16 categories. The analysis and classification which are unique and unexampled in its own nature in the curriculum literature explain some controversies about the definitions and types of curricula categorization.</p>

As policy evaluation matures, thoughts are turning to its governance. However, few scholars have combined insights from the evaluation and governance literatures to shed new light on this matter. In order to address this important gap, this article develops a new typology of ways to comprehend and perhaps ultimately govern ex-post policy evaluation activities. The article then explores its validity in the context of climate policy evaluation activities, a vibrant policy area in which the demand for and practices of evaluation have grown fast, particularly in Europe. The analysis reveals that the typology usefully guides new thinking, but also highlights important gaps in our empirical knowledge of the various modes of governing policy evaluation. The article identifies a need for a new research agenda that simultaneously develops a fuller understanding of these evaluation practices and the options for governing them.

A new diagnostic tool has been proposed for use in modern corporations to support a wide range of problems related to the interaction of company staff in solving work tasks. This new development combines the strengths of tools already used in this field, namely, DISC and MBTI. The tool contains a description of 4 factors and 16 types based on these factors, as well as a questionnaire on 33 questions, which identifies the respondent's affiliation to the type based on the assessment of the result for each of the 4 scales. For the types, practical principles for the transition from the type to its place in the corporate organizational structure have been proposed, as well as the types are associated with commonly known archetypes for their intuitive understanding. An example of an organizational structure consisting of the proposed types has been provided, but at the same time it reflects the typical organizational structure of an economical corporation. An empirical study of the reliability for new questionnaire in a sample of more than 2,300 respondents from the Internet search engines users has been conducted. Sufficient levels (> 0.7) of Cronbach's alpha and MacDonald's omega are shown in exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis for each of the factors. The factors independence is shown as well. The proposed scales are also compared with the scales of methods for assessing emotional intelligence and creativity. Thus, the proposed typology is designed to solve a wide range of organizational tasks from building a new organization to optimizing the use of staff in existing project teams, and the work of recruitment and staff development departments.

Abstract In this paper we introduce and outline a new research area, Applied Language Typology (ALT). ALT builds on fundamental typological findings in morphology, syntax and semantics. ALT examines the attested and potential practical consequences of these contrasts for different professional contexts of communication, such as translation, the law and second language learning and teaching. We propose three general organising principles that underlie ALT, illustrating how these principles enable us to identify exact points of language contrasts that result in significant practical difficulty, and we suggest future directions in ALT research for the benefit of academics and language practitioners.

The overarching goal of this article is to shed new light on the debate over whether pronouns ( she/ he/ it) generally have the syntax and semantics of definite descriptions ( the woman/ the man/ the thing) or that of individual variables. As a case study, we investigate the differences between personal pronouns and demonstrative pronouns in German. We argue that the two types of pronouns have the same core makeup (both contain a null NP and a definite determiner), but demonstrative pronouns have additional functional structure that personal pronouns lack. This analysis is shown to derive both their commonalities and their differences, and it derives the distribution of demonstrative vs. personal pronouns by means of structural economy constraints.

AbstractScholarship has categorized referendums predominantly along their procedural and institutional features. This paper moves beyond these formal dimensions, argues that the policy subjected to a popular vote is the missing link and proposes a complementary typology based on the policy areas. This typology fosters comparisons across countries, political systems and over time within one policy area, thus serving as a powerful analytical tool for further analyses. At the same time, the typology maps out the history of referendum use showing the chronology of salient issues in different societies. The empirical evidence draws on an original dataset of 630 nationwide referendums in Europe between 1793 and 2019.

There is increasing recognition that farmers face constraints on their farming decisions depending on the their resources, stage in life, and lifestyle choices. These factors are captured in a new farm typology developed by the Economic Research Service. The farm typology's definition of small and large farms is used to test the commonly stated hypothesis that small farmers practice better land husbandry than do large farmers. The adoption of eleven different soil and nutrient management practices used by U.S. corn producers is analyzed with a bivariate logit model for each practice. The farm typology is found to be significantly associated with two of the practices—rotation with legumes and conservation tillage.

AbstractThe distinction between strong and weak judicial review occupies a privileged place in comparative constitutional law. This article argues that it is necessary to generate a new typology that includes two other increasingly influential models. The two ‘new’ models can be identified as ‘strong basic structure review’ and ‘weak basic structure review’. The former, present in some common law countries such as India and Belize, not only provides judges with the ability to strike down legislation that is inconsistent with a particular constitutional provision, but also constitutional amendments incompatible with the principles on which the constitution rests. The latter model, weak basic structure review, currently present in some Latin American countries, also provides judges with the power to strike down ordinary and constitution-amending legislation, but gives ‘the people’, acting through a constituent assembly, the final word on the validity of any form of positive law. Finally, the article considers the possibility of the development of a fifth model in which even the constituent people would be bound by certain principles to be identified and enforced by judges.

Purpose Strong agreement in the extant business literature emphasizes that digital developments are key to economic growth internationally. This is in spite of the recorded high levels (up to 50 percent) of failure among digital companies and entrepreneurs. The purpose of this paper is to identify the digital debates in Italy, explore current policies and develop a typology that characterizes digital entrepreneurs (DEs) and their start-up companies in Italy. Design/methodology/approach The digital debates and policies are explored through an extensive telephone survey of the self-perceptions and identified supports required by 348 Italian active DEs. Quantitative statistical techniques were used including factor analysis, cluster analysis and ANOVA, to identify motivations, profiles and critical success factors relevant to the sample. Findings The study identifies three main clusters among the DEs: emerging very young; emerging business focused and experienced. These clusters vary with the entrepreneurs’ background and competence base, motivation and satisfaction factors. The different kinds of profiles require specific kinds of supporting policies identified by the sample that focus on financial, educational and/or networking provision. Originality/value The paper affirms the central role of digital entities in modern economies expressed in the current literature and increases knowledge of the perceived success factors identified by DEs. The identification and classification of self-reported characteristics of Italian DEs and to what extent these characterizations might be useful for tailored interventions to support their success are the main contributions of this study. Accordingly, an authentic, original and self-reported portrayal has been constructed of the self-perceptions of Italian DEs. Finally, the study explores the implications for actions and new policies considering self-perceived profiles, needs and expectations of DEs.
