Streszczenie:
Modeling is one of the key categories of modern cognitive theory and design-engineering practice. Simulation and visualization of real physical processes and phenomena are important technological tools and simulation results. The article presents a comparative review and analysis of existing emulators, such as Cisco Packet Tracer and UNetLab, as well as the rationale for choosing CupCarbon as a platform for modeling, in particular, wireless networks for the Internet of Things. The functional potential of today’s most common emulators like Cisco Packet Tracer and UNetLab are significant. Cisco Packet Tracer is a powerful software emulator, which gives the possibility to users to simulate networks, organizing them with the almost unlimited number of devices, using the equipment and adjusting it for the specific tasks of this or that environment. The program gives the opportunity to develop the quality of decision-making speed, creativity and critical thinking, configuration and troubleshooting networks with the use of virtual equipment and simulated connection. Despite the great advantages of this software emulator, it has several disadvantages, which make it incorrect for modeling IoT networks, such as the lack of simulation in a 2D/3D environment and adding urban and natural noise, not a complete emulation of IOS, almost everything that goes beyond the CCNA, it also cannot be built on it, the possible manifestation of a variety of bugs that are treated only by restarting the program.

Streszczenie:
English Models are used as tools for studying sustainable development. They are a priori neutral, but this neutrality can be upset if the analysis of observations done to answer questions in reference to a given a priori definition of sustainability leads to the identification of sustainability contexts that do not correspond to the initial definition. The practice of actors may for example involve substitution between elements of a natural capital, which may not be in agreement with a strong definition of sustainability. Therefore we may have to consider the need for transition from a prescriptive to a descriptive approach. The context of modelling depends on the object we want to be preserved (what we observe). If this object is a resource-exploitation system, the perception of sustainability comes from observation of the system. The observation process may have been initiated by a mono-disciplinary question, but, sustainability being dependent on an object which must be described, no unique definition can be proposed. The definition and perception of sustainability are themselves processes to which modelling sciences may have to contribute.

As 3D reservoir modeling is effectively the centre stage in many multi-disciplinary reservoir management efforts, the need for effective knowledge management is paramount to ensure: Inclusion of pre-existing knowledge is in the model, including absent (or controversial knowledge), reflected in uncertainties. A definition of a modeling process comprehensively covers the reservoirs issues identified while leading to fit for purpose results in a given imposed time span. Storage of knowledge generated and a modeling audit trail during the modeling process to ensure adequate and efficient model updates over time. Creation of a link between the integrated modeling process and the discipline processes that generate the basic data that underpin the model Current 3D modelling methods and tools allow for creation of models and storing model specific workflows (i.e. software related parameters and processing chains). In addition, various efforts are undertaken to store modelling best practice, which typically entails general know-how about creating models. During a specific 3D modelling project, however, a considerable body of knowledge is generated about what and what not makes the model work for a given reservoir. Such knowledge, which are essential for systematic uncertainty assessment during an existing modelling effort or subsequent modelling efforts, needs to be managed in order to retain its relevance. This extended abstract focuses on application of knowledge management in the EP industry, particularly on how process or workflow-based knowledge management approaches add value in the context of 3D modeling projects for multidisciplinary reservoir management.

Streszczenie:
Consumption is a fundamental determinant of the economic success. Consumer spending is approximately 70 percent of the Gross domestic product (GDP). It is common to divide consumer spending into nondurables (clothing and food), durables (“large” goods, which are not purchased very often), and of course services (day care, banking, medical). The way to identify how the economy influences consumption is to look at specific economic cycles. At the top of the economy (when the economy is strong), people reaction is physically powerful, and consumers spend money freely. When the economy falters, confidence falls; consumers cut back on the spending and conserve their money. They stop buying, getting out of debt and focus on saving money. Understanding consumption is vital to the implementation and development of marketing strategies. The purpose for this empirical research is to review main indicators, which influence on consumption and identify methodological issues in need of resolution, and present possible approaches that may prove helpful in resolving those issues. The growth of interest in modeling consumption has led to behaviorally conceptual models in which selection dynamics play a vital role. The authors introduce two empirical models, which demonstrate correlation between macroeconomic indicators, social factors and Consumer price index (CPI). The first conceptual model shows that the CPI is a straighter measure than per capita Gross domestic product of the standard of living in Ukraine. By including a wide range of thousands of services and goods with the basket (fixed), the CPI can obtain a precise estimate of the cost of living. The second empirical model shows the interdependence of economic indicators (CPI, GDP, and Average wage index (AWI)) and social factors (gender, age, location).

In journal bearing modeling, the phenomenon of cavitation is very important to improve the accuracy of the simulation results. This is because cavitation will almost certainly occur because there are convergent and divergent geometries. The results of the simulation will be close to real conditions so that it can have a positive effect on researchers in order to design optimal journal bearings. The effect of modeling without cavitation and with cavitation on journal bearing modeling has a great influence on the lubrication performance of journal bearings. In modeling with cavitation, the maximum hydrodynamic pressure and load carrying capacity that the journal bearing is capable of relying on has a fairly rapid increase. The modeling results also relate to the friction force that occurs in the journal bearing. The aim of the present study is to explore the effect of inclusion of modeling of the Hydrodynamic pressure. The finite volume method based on software is used to compare the result with and without cavitation. Here, The mixture multiphase cavitation is adopted. Many flood modelings use geovisualization techniques but are very complicated and can only be understood by researchers or practitioners. There is a need for modelings that are informative and can be understood by ordinary people for the purpose of disaster mitigation. This research analyzed a flood modeling geovisualization sample to find out the extent to which aesthetic values are used in that modeling. For breaking down the modeling, an analytical approach was used as well as physioplastic, ideoplastic, and judgment analyses. Then, the modeling was evaluated through a questionnaire that was distributed using Google Forms to 40 respondents with a background as visual communication design students. The questionnaire was presented using closed questions and a visual analogue scale. The aesthetic parameters used for measuring were: lighting, color, two-dimensional field, three-dimensional field, time/motion, and sound. The evaluation results showed that the flood modeling geovisualization sample did not use aesthetics effectively. Modeling representations need to be simplified into visualizations using a well-planned aesthetic concept to make them more informative. Hopefully, the result of this research will make flood modeling more impactful and easier to understand by ordinary people through the application of aesthetic values such as those addressed in the questionnaire.

Nowadays almost every map is a component of the information system. Design and production of maps requires the use of specific rules for modeling information systems: conceptual, application and data modelling. While analyzing various stages of cartographic modeling the authors ask the question: at what stage of this process a map occurs. Can we say that the “life of the map” begins even before someone define its form of presentation? This question is particularly important at the time of exponentially increasing number of new geoinformation products. During the analysis of the theory of cartography and relations of the discipline to other fields of knowledge it has been attempted to define a few properties of cartographic modeling which distinguish the process from other methods of spatial modeling. Assuming that the map is a model of reality (created in the process of cartographic modeling supported by domain-modeling) the article proposes an analogy of the process of cartographic modeling to the scheme of conceptual modeling presented in ISO 19101 standard.

The results show that: (1)Using the sense organ’s symmetry characteristic, a half model is built first, which is convenient for modelling and observing the simulation results;(2) Gridding should be meshed more densely where fluid grads is large, which is helpful of saving simulation time and improving precision. Compared to two-dimensional modeling, the simulation results of three-dimensional modeling are more comprehensive and exact, which provides dependable basis for further research of the sensor.

Streszczenie:
In accordance with the purpose of geophysical exploration, the gravity data interpretation is aimed at prospecting mineral resources which is based on the study of the geological cross-section structure. The task of quantitative interpretation, which uses methods of gravity modeling and gravity inversion, is the modelling of a gravity field (gravity modeling) and of a density structure of geological environments (gravity inversion). The article presents the definition and steps of the gravity data modelling technique. This technique is based on the construction of an informal sequence of equivalent solutions. The technological and geological features of methods for modelling the density structure of complex geological environments are given; among them geological content, consistency with a priori data and the subordination of modelling to geological hypotheses are important. The topicality and methods of simulation modelling are outlined. The purpose of simulation modelling is to study the properties of gravity inversion in the general formulation, as well as to evaluate the degree of detail and reliability of the methods and technologies of gravity modelling, which claim to be an effective solution to geological problems. The example of structural simulation testing of the methods of informal sequence of equivalent solutions and its computer technologies shows that a complex interpretation of seismic and gravity measurements data enables the creation of detailed density models of structural cross-sections. The ways of increasing the veracity of gravity data modelling of structural cross-sections have been studied. It is revealed that the best approximation of the regional background is an inclined plane which approximates the observed field of gravity according to characteristic pickets over the research areas that are better studied. The increase in the veracity of modeling can also be achieved by rebuilding the near side zones in the structural type models in an interactive process of solving structural gravity inversion problems. Substantive modeling depends primarily on the experience of the interpreter since computer technologies for gravity modeling and gravity inversion are merely an interpretation tool.

Streszczenie:
Enterprise information systems in agriculture and environment are becoming more complex and difficult to design and implement. This paper aims to show our vision on using model-based approaches to design complex and flexible agricultural and environmental information systems. At the center of this modeling approach is the Unified Modeling Language that facilitates expressing visually concepts of a problem domain and their relationships. UML has a core of notations that are generic and that can be used to model problems in any domain but can be extended to create profiles in order to take into consideration modeling concerns in a particular problem domain. UML profiles are created to use UML in designing spatial systems, ontologies, model driven architecture-based systems and Web-based systems and a recent profile makes it possible to use UML for business modeling purposes. UML is used to present design patterns; their use is crucial in designing complex and flexible information systems. Recently, UML is enriched with Object Constraint Language that is used to express constraints on modeling artifacts. The paper presents the state of the art in modeling agricultural and environmental systems and provides discussions for future directions.

Streszczenie:
Spacecraft power system simulation involves the coupling of electrical, thermal and control domains. At present, the modeling and simulation of multi-domain physical system mainly uses the single-domain software to establish a single-domain model, and solves the unified multi-domain modeling and simulation through the interface between the software or using HLA. But it cannot fully support the modeling and simulation of multi-domain physical system, and the model has poor reusability and extensibility. As a multi-domain modeling language, Modelica language supports acausal modelling, unified multi-domain modeling, object-oriented physical modeling and hybrid modeling. So it is widely used in the aerospace area. In this paper, Modelica language is used to establish module library of spacecraft power system on simulation platform MWorks, and the multi-domain simulation model of spacecraft power system is obtained by assembling each sub-model, and the performance of the model is simulated and analyzed so as to achieve the purpose of improving and verifying the model.
