Pełny tekst źródłaActive materials are a class of material which react to an external stimulus such as temperature,photons, magnetic field or electric field. These stimuli cause some properties of the material tochange usually their length. Some examples are piezoelectric material which change their lengthunder the action of an electric field, Shape Memory alloys which alter their shape on applicationof heat, and more recently Magnetic Shape Memory Alloys (MSMA) which undergo a deformationon application of a magnetic field. Harnessing this property of MSMAs, we hereby present anactuator using this novel material. We extensively make use of an energy framework, namely thethermodynamics of irreversible processes to model the material. This framework has been provento be very versatile in modelling energy exchange and transformation as it occurs in the materialand also to incorporate hysteresis which arises naturally in such materials. Another advantage of thismethod is its ability to give us constitutive laws based on simple assumptions. Furthermore, usingan energy framework allows us to apply some energy based control. Port Hamiltonian Control is onesuch method and it is not limited only to linear models. This latter characteristic has proven veryuseful since MSMAs are very non-linear in nature

The difficulties of implementing run time reconfiguration (RTR) on CCMs are
addressed in this thesis. Tools and techniques are introduced to simplify the development
and synthesis of applications and partitions for RTR applications. A multiplexed memory
port (MMP) is presented in JHDL and VHDL that simplifies the memory interface, eases
the task of writing applications and creating partitions, and makes applications platform
independent. The MMP is incorporated into an existing CCM compiler. It is shown that
the MMP can increase the compiler's functionality and efficiency.

Pełny tekst źródłaO presente trabalho parte do interesse pelo tema lugares de memória e como estes, cada vez mais procurados pelo homem contemporâneo, se apresentam como um meio de tranquilizar as constantes crises identitárias que se têm tornado cada vez mais recorrentes. Pela fragmentação dos espaços vividos, intenta-se, através do ato de projectar, exprimir a natureza, a história, a tradição e a sociedade do lugar escolhido, num objecto de clara e transparente lógica espacial. Da escolha da baía de Sines, como o lugar de intervenção, motivada pelo desaparecimento gradual da identidade secular marítima, atualmente ameaçada, tornara-se fundamental o estudo e interpretação da sua condição de pertença naquele que é, hoje, um dos maiores portos industriais de Portugal. Criando uma nova oportunidade para a reconstrução de um discurso coeso entre Sines e o mar, entretanto quebrada, o Porto de Abrigo, enquadrado numa das propostas dadas à baía – o Percurso de Memória – pretende-se que este seja o resultado de um culminar de intenções da restituição da memória e da identidade. Através das características excecionais que o envolvem, este será um lugar reflexivo, um lugar de memória que, não só se tornará capaz de acentuar a condição excecional da baía, como a identidade piscatória local.
ABSTRACT: The present work is based on the interest on ‘lugares de memória ‘(places of memory) and how these, increasingly searched by the contemporary man, are presented as a means of reassuring the constant crises of identity that has become increasingly recurrent. By fragmenting the spaces, through the act of design, it is intended to express the nature, history, tradition and society of the chosen place, in an object of clear and transparent spatial logic. The choice of Sines Bay, as the place of intervention, motivated by the gradual disappearance of the secular maritime identity, currently threatened, it has become fundamental to study and interpret its condition of belonging, in what is today, one of the largest industrial ports of Portugal. Creating a new opportunity for the reconstruction of a cohesive interaction between Sines and the sea, meanwhile broken, the ‘Porto de Abrigo’ (shelter harbour), framed in one of the proposals given to the bay - the ‘Percurso de Memória’ (Memory Path) - is intended to be the culmination of restitution of memory and identity. By the exceptional characteristics that surround it, this will be a reflective place, a place of memory that will not only be able to accentuate the exceptional condition of the bay, but the local fishing identity.

Pełny tekst źródłaIn this work, we visualize the city of Porto Nacional (TO) by the lenses of memory of its residents on the Sagrado Coração de Jesus School, founded by French Dominican sisters in 1904. The arrival of religious, representatives of the discourse on the "civilization" can be interpreted as an attempt to domestication of the hinterland. The meanings articulated by the community in memory of former students and teachers of the School, which tell us about the collective memory, references are built and constantly reinforced, featuring a process of formation and assertion of identity. The space occupied by the School, yesterday and today, are places of memory, as they are loaded with symbolic value and evoke memories of those who lived there or those who have heard stories about him. They are places where the memory is crystallized and passed. Important in the history of Porto Nacional and reference to the people, the School is the cultural heritage of the city.
Neste trabalho, visualizamos a cidade de Porto Nacional (TO) pelas lentes da memória de seus moradores sobre o Colégio Sagrado Coração de Jesus, fundado por irmãs dominicanas francesas em 1904. A chegada das religiosas, representantes do discurso sobre a civilização , pode ser interpretada como uma tentativa de domesticação do sertão. Os significados articulados pela comunidade de memória dos ex-alunos e professores do Colégio, que nos informam sobre a memória coletiva, são referências construídas e constantemente reforçadas, caracterizando um processo de constituição e afirmação de identidade. Os espaços ocupados pelo Colégio, ontem e hoje, são lugares de memória, pois são carregados de valor simbólico e evocam lembranças daqueles que lá viveram ou dos que ouviram histórias sobre ele. São lugares onde a lembrança é cristalizada e transmitida. Importante para a história de Porto Nacional e referência para os portuenses, o Colégio é patrimônio cultural da cidade.

presente pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar as memórias e as experiências dos trabalhadores arrumadores de Rio Grande-RS, entre as décadas de 1950/60. Neste sentido, as análises buscaram destacar as tomadas de decisões e disputas dos trabalhadores, os quais visaram realizar a transição de Sindicato do Comércio Armazenador, para Sindicato dos Arrumadores de Rio Grande, a luz da Lei 2.196, de 1º de abril de 1954, abrangendo assim seu campo de atuação para o comércio, indústria e o Porto. Conjuntamente, analisaremos como se inseriram nestes distintos ambientes e estabeleceram suas relações de trabalho e estratégias, assim como buscaram lidar com as inseguranças diante a condição de um trabalhado sazonal e avulso. Para tanto, será a partir das memórias reavivadas dos trabalhadores arrumadores, portuários e consertadores, bem como no diálogo com as demais fontes que buscou-se compreender a trajetória histórica desta categoria.
The present research has the objective of analyzing the memories and the experiences of the laborers of Rio Grande-RS, between the decades of 1950/60. In this sense, the analyzes sought to highlight the decision-making and disputes of the workers, which aimed to carry out the transition from Trade Union of Storage Trade, to Union of Arrumadores of Rio Grande, in light of Law 2.196, of April 1, 1954, covering so its field of action for commerce, industry and Porto. Together, we will analyze how they were inserted in these different environments and established their working relationships and strategies, as well as trying to deal with the insecurities faced with the condition of a seasonal and isolated worker. To do so, it will be from the revived memories of the ushers, port workers and repairers, as well as in the dialogue with the other sources that sought to understand the historical trajectory of this category.

Pełny tekst źródłaThis thesis is the result of an ethnographic study, developed in conjunction with a group of local inhabitants from the neighbourhood of Lami, in Porto Alegre. Drawing from the local elders memories, the study represents the routines and the social interactions of such a group that leads to a unique urban experience in inhabiting a city. Lami is located in the most southerly district of the city, renown for its beautiful swimming beaches and amazing landscapes of natural beauty. It is an area free from the crowds which characterizes the more urban areas of the city. However, welcome as they are, it has been accommodating more and more inhabitants over the last few years. Its land have been sold and transformed into gated residential developments, which impact greatly on the landscape as well as the local social environment. This ‘progress’, that has brought the power distribution network, paved road infrastructure and the benefits of a public transportation system, unfortunately also promotes all the illogicalities of the modern world. The image of a rural neighborhood, a rural area perfect for fishing and tourism, conjoined with the city backdrop whose inhabitants, predominately look there for sustainable employment. Facing atemporal conflicts perceived as a “crisis point” by the local elders, there is an urgent need for these people to update their routine and rediscover their ties of sociability and solidarity which will anchor a “communal aesthetics” in the neighbourhood, providing such a distinctive environment within the city.

Pełny tekst źródłaThe realtionship between man and nature, in Swampland, its interaction with ecosystem, the way to notice and mix with the peculiarities of the environment is marked by the cicle of the floods and its antithesis, droughts. The human experiments in a region historically valued, mainly by its environmental characteristics, are our proposal for discussion. Using the methodology of oral history, we know the experiences of the subjects, their daily practices and their life trajectory, while occupant in waterlands, especially in Porto Murtinho-MS. To understand how the local history includes, in their characteristics and modifications, the phenomenon of floods, we made a reading of history from the memory of a people that considers the flood a natural phenomenon, but remarkable in the region of Swampland, and the human strategies built for survival in areas traditionally affected by water. Men modify the landscape and the area around it, and they are modified, in the past or present. This network of relations is explained not only or only by political aspects, but also by the social, religious, cultural and economic aspects, and allows the understanding that the human action, individual or collective, is not only an identifiable determinant, but produces own significations, to promote the understanding that the region contains characteristics that go beyond the middle and paradisiac vision of Swampland, which means the regions as a paradise of animal species, reservation of flora and fauna, joining, in a good way of this representation, the waterland man and his history. In this context, the flood, under the perspective of Cultural History, produces a resignification about what a urban tenant is in Swampland and allows us to understand that the floods are not always a problem for that region
A relação do homem e natureza, no Pantanal, sua interação com os ecossistemas, o seu modo de perceber e relacionar-se com as peculiaridades do ambiente, é marcada pelo ciclo das cheias e de sua antítese, as secas. As experiências humanas em uma região historicamente valorizada, principalmente por suas características ambientais, são nossa proposta para discussão. Utilizando a metodologia da história oral, procuramos conhecer as experiências dos sujeitos, suas práticas cotidianas e sua trajetória de vida, enquanto morador nos pantanais, especialmente em Porto Murtinho, MS. Para compreender como a história local contempla, em suas características e modificações, o fenômeno das enchentes, buscamos fazer uma leitura da história a partir da memória de um povo que considera a enchente um fenômeno natural, porém marcante na região do Pantanal, e as estratégias humanas construídas para a sobrevivência em áreas tradicionalmente afetadas pelas águas. Os homens modificam a paisagem e o espaço ao seu redor, e são por eles modificados, seja no passado ou no presente. Essa rede de relações não se explica apenas ou somente pelo aspecto político, mas também pelo aspecto social, religioso, cultural e econômico e possibilita o entendimento de que a ação humana, individual ou coletiva, não é apenas uma determinante identificável, mas elabora significações próprias, que favorecem a compreensão de que essa região encerra características que ultrapassam a visão midiática e edênica do Pantanal, que significa a região como um paraíso de espécies animais, reserva da flora e fauna, alienando, em boa medida dessa representação, o homem pantaneiro e sua história. Nesse contexto, a enchente, sob a ótica da História Cultural, produz uma ressignificação do que é um morador urbano no Pantanal e permite compreender por que as cheias nem sempre são um problema para essa região

Pełny tekst źródłaThe present work aimed at reconstituting the individual and collective trajectories of the night musicians of Porto Alegre: Ari Fernando, Cigano Durque Costa, Luiza Hellena, Jô de Sousa, Gilberto [Pedro] Lara, Sabiá Juvêncio Rodrigues, Paulo Jorge Linier, Eneida Martins, Fabrício Rodrigues, Norminha Duval, Ziláh Machado, Zé Carlos Silveira, Zé da Terreira and others; On the other hand, through the fieldwork conducted between 2016 and 2017, ethnographing the daily life of the research collaborators, individuals who have in common the age of over 60, who attend the Sindicato dos Músicos do Rio Grande do Sul, the Casa do Artista Rio-Grandense, pubs, etc. Through an ethnomusicology of memory, I sought to understand the reasons why some musicians are remembered and others are socially forgotten. Throughout the research, I observed that his professional activities, begun between the 1950s and 1970s, in circuses, cabarets and nightclubs, have labor relations in common under subaltern conditions. I also noticed that the social forgetfulness that weighs on their musical careers is linked to the social damages caused by unfavorable socioeconomic conditions, by racism, by male oppression of women and by old age.

A presente pesquisa aborda o estudo audiovisual a partir da noção do colecionador, de Benjamin e os conceitos de duração e memória advindos de Bergson aplicados nas chamadas caixas de coletâneas audiovisuais. Utilizo, aqui, como objeto de análise a caixa lançada pela produtora gaúcha de cinema e televisão Casa de Cinema de Porto Alegre. Para realizar tal estudo, trago à pesquisa, como referencial metodológico, a cartografia, segundo Deleuze e Guattari e o pensamento acerca das molduras, desenvolvido por Kilpp. Dessa forma, busco também aproximar o estudo da caixa da Casa de Cinema do próprio processo de pesquisa. Tais caminhos visam aprofundar o pensamento sobre as audiovisualidades, conforme a linha de pesquisa a qual estou atrelado, bem como, identificar e refletir sobre o tipo de audiovisual praticado pela maior produtora independente de cinema e televisão do sul do Brasil – a Casa de Cinema de Porto Alegre – com contextos extra-caixa, ou seja, as inter-relações possíveis entre as obras contidas nessa caix
The present research approaches the audiovisual study from the point of view of the collector, from Benjamin, and the concepts of duration and memory from Bergson applied to the DVD box set collections launched by Casa de Cinema de Porto Alegre, a production company specialised in cinema and television based in Porto Alegre, which is the object of this analysis. As a method to carry through such study, I use the cartography based on the thoughts of Deleuze and Guattari and the theory of frames from the work of Kilpp. My goal with this work is to make a connection between the DVD box set collections of Casa de Cinema and the process of research with the intention of deepening the thought about audiovisuals, an area of research which I am connected to, as well as to identify and reflect about the kind of audiovisual used by the biggest independent production company of South Brazil, Casa de Cinema de Porto Alegre. A pretensão deste trabalho é procurar, por meio de diferentes documentos, perceber como se deu a produção do monumento a Bento Gonçalves da Silva em Porto Alegre, em meados da década de 1930, explicando-a a partir da apropriação das memórias farroupilhas pelos historiadores e intelectuais sul-rio-grandenses. Quero perceber como foi trabalhada a (re) adaptação de uma memória sobre o gaúcho e compreender como esse fato contribuiu para a construção de um lugar de memória para a Revolução Farroupilha em Porto Alegre. Para tanto, procuro verificar o modo como se deu a formação do imaginário de brasilidade do gaúcho, alicerçado numa base de cunho regional. Parto do plano teórico e intelectual e, transitando pelas práticas políticas, chego à materialização da memória no bronze do monumento a Bento Gonçalves da Silva. O que se vê no monumento, ao fim e ao cabo, é uma memória que se perpetua e, a cada conjuntura, vem reforçando a ideia de “heroicidade” do gaúcho no ajustamento da memória coletiva fomentando, dessa forma, o imaginário coletivo sul-rio-grandense em torno da história da Revolução Farroupilha.
The intent of this paper is to search through different documents to perceive how the Bento Gonçalves da Silva monument was built in the mid-1930s in Porto Alegre, explain from the appropriation of the farroupilha memories by the historians and intellectuals from Rio Grande do Sul. I want to grasp how was built the "stage" for the rehabilitation of the gaucho memory, and, to realize how this fact contributed to build a place of memory from the Farroupilha Revolution in Porto Alegre. To do so I seek to verify how the formation of the imaginary Brazilian way of the gaucho came to be, based in a regional hallmark. I begin from the theoretical and intellectual level and, searching through political practices , I get to the materialization of the memory in the bronze from the monument to Bento Gonçalves da Silva. In the end what can be seen in the monument is a memory that is perpetuated, and in each conjuncture reinforces the idea of "heroism" by the gaucho in the adjustment of the collective memory, therefore fostering the collective imaginary of the people from Rio Grande do Sul around the Farroupilha Revolution history.

Pełny tekst źródłaThe main goal of this study is to recover the memories of the ancient Procession of Our Lady of Navigators which happens in the Port region in the city of Pelotas. Likewise, it seeks to elucidate how it was taken toforgetfulness. The Navigators Feast occurred in Pelotas for the first time in 1932, at the Port Neighborhood, organized by the Main Church Sacred Heart of Jesus,known as Port Church. The religious event involved land and water processionsthrough the main streets of the port neighborhood and through both São Gonçalo Channel and Pelotas Arroyo, respectively. For nearly four decades, the Navigators Feast occurred annually, with participation by clerical, civil and military authorities, thousands of faithful, religious associations, sponsors, musical bands, cultural attractions, food vendors and fireworks, among others. In the 1970s, the Procession moved to the Fishermen's Colony Z-3, about 25 km from the center of Pelotas.The displacement of the Image of the Saint from the Port district represented (especially for the devotees) the loss, the forgetfulness. The main methodological approachused to substantiate the memories of the old Navigators Feast was the oral history, with witnesses devotees of the Santa, old residents in the neighborhood, who used to participate in the Procession. Were also consulted primary sources, such as the First Tumble Book of the Port Parish (1912), as well as journals from 1932 to 1972. This study is contextualized by the history of the Port s Church and also by Pelotas Archdiocese, place of origin of devotion to Navigators, and the emergence of the Navigators Feast in town, idealized by Monsignor Luiz Gonzaga Chierichetti. It was possible to verify a unit in context of ethnic religious group involved in the feast. The devotees respondents share their memories about the Feast and feel sorry for its forgetfulness. According to the research, the procession is directly related to life, to work, to sociability and the territory of Port s district. O presente trabalho tem como principal objetivo recuperar as memórias da antiga Procissão de Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes na regiãodo Porto de Pelotas. Da mesma forma, busca elucidar de que forma ocorreu sua descaracterização, seu esquecimento. A Festa de Navegantes ocorreu pela primeira vez em Pelotas em 1932, no bairro portuário da cidade, organizada pela Matriz Sagrado Coração de Jesus, conhecida como Igreja do Porto. No evento religioso, ocorria procissão terrestre, pelas principais ruas do bairro, e fluvial, pelo Canal São Gonçalo e o Arroio Pelotas. Por quase quatro décadas, a Festa de Navegantes ocorreu anualmente, com participação de autoridades clericais, civis e militares, milhares de fiéis, associações religiosas, festeiros, bandas de música, atrações culturais, bancas de gastronomia, fogos de artifício, dentre outros. Nosanos 1970, a Procissão de Navegantes foi transferida para a Colônia de Pescadores Z-3, a cerca de 25 quilômetros do centro de Pelotas. O deslocamento daImagem de Navegantes e descaracterização da Festa representaram, principalmente para os devotos da Santa, moradores do Bairro do Porto, a perda, o esquecimento. O principal aporte metodológico utilizado para a evidenciação das memórias da antiga Festa de Navegantes foi a história oral, com depoentes devotos da Santa, antigos moradores no Bairro do Porto, que participavam da procissão. Foram consultadas também fontes primárias, como o Primeiro Livro Tombo da Paróquia do Porto (1912), assim como periódicos de 1932 a 1972. O trabalho é contextualizado pela história da Igreja do Porto junto à Arquidiocese de Pelotas, origem da devoção a Navegantes, e o surgimento da Festa de Navegantes em Pelotas, idealizada pelo Monsenhor Luiz Gonzaga Chierichetti. Foi verificada uma unidade em contexto étnico religioso do grupo envolvido na festa. Os devotos entrevistados partilham as memórias de Festa de Navegantes e lamentam seu esquecimento. De acordo com a pesquisa, a procissão está diretamente relacionada à vida, ao trabalho, à sociabilidade e ao território do bairro do Porto. Foi descoberto que amaior parte das memórias da Festa de Navegantes do Bairro do Porto evidencia suas partes mais felizes, o que transforma o espaço em um lugar privilegiado , carregado de emoções de vida, fé, trabalho

Pełny tekst źródłaIt presents a reflection about the social representations and their importance in the construction of the virtual memories of the city from the information published by users in a mobile app. This study was carried out within the scope of the Porto Alegre Imaginada research project and which articulates concepts such as information, social representations and virtual memory, from an interdisciplinary theoretical perspective. It defends the study of the city from the representations that the citizens have on her, supported in their experiences with the urban environment. Emphasizes the study of social representations based on the information produced by citizens, because they are supported in memory and marked by the subjectivity of individuals. It aims to understand how information produced by citizens in the Foursquare app helps in the constitution of representations about Porto Alegre and the dynamization of their memories Afirms that in producing and sharing information about the city, citizens act as narrators of the urban environment. Analyzes the tips published by citizens in the app in the pages of Porto Alegre and Bom Fim, Centro Histórico, Cidade Baixa, Menino Deus and Moinhos de Vento, which are neighborhoods mentioned by users on the city page. Qualitative research that uses narratology as a method to analyze the themes, scenarios, characters, scenarios and chronological sequences that make up the stories narrated by the citizens in the app. Constructs maps to locate the places of the city's scenarios cited by the citizens in the narratives. The narratives formed by the tips of the citizens represent a multiple city and surrounded by tensions, although the virtual memory is selected and framed according to the conceptions of each subject. Concludes that the app dynamizes the social memory and the construction of an imaginary about an appropriation of the lived space.

Esta dissertação analisa como as comemorações do primeiro centenário da Revolução Farroupilha produziram uma memória sobre o evento. A pesquisa utiliza documentação periódica publicada em Porto Alegre, nos jornais A Federação, Correio do Povo, Diário de Notícias e Jornal da Manhã. A investigação pretende compreender quais foram os elementos acionados nas representações e interpretações sobre este episódio, e como as narrativas mobilizaram a rememoração deste evento nos usos do passado farroupilha. Busca-se assim perceber como a experiência e a expectativa foram relacionadas e de que forma inscreveram o presente em uma perspectiva temporal. O trabalho visa contribuir para os estudos sobre a construção da memória farroupilha e a constituição de uma identidade regional.
This dissertation examines how commemorations of First Centenary of the Farroupilha Revolution produces a memory of the event. This study uses documents published periodically in Porto Alegre, on the newspapers A Federação, Correio do Povo, Diário de Notícias and Jornal da Manhã. The research aims to understand the elements which were triggered in the representations and interpretations of that episode, and how narratives mobilized the recollection of this event in the Farroupilha?s past uses. Search to see how well the experience and expectations were related and how they entered this in a time perspective. The work aims to contribute to studies on the construction of Farroupilha memory and the constitution of a regional identity.

Pełny tekst źródłaRecently, the Cais Mauá, ancient port in the city of Porto Alegre, had a revitalization project approved in the multiple administrative instances of the state bureaucracy and it is scheduled to be implemented in 2017. I intend to demonstrate in the course of this work that the idea of a "Reestablishment of a relation of the inhabitants of the city with the port", pointed out by the enterprise responsible for the revitalization, is not consensual. It brings together innumerable political contradictions that I sought to accompany ethnographically through consensual contact with urban activism collectives. Performing an anthropology of the processes of contradiction that are related to sociohistorical, landscape and economic aspects, I propose to demonstrate how urban transformations in the city, specifically those related to the port area, are linked to a political memory. Through the narratives of my interlocutors and research in the collection, I realized that the (re) qualification projects for the Cais Mauá are as historic as their resistance. With the decline of port activities in the 1980s, activists, policy makers and urban planners have dreamed differentiated developments for the region. In this sense, the resistance to the revitalization of the Cais Mauá emerges not only as the establishment of alternative plans, projects and proposals, but as a confrontation of the city models in the 21st century.

In this paper I place the memory of the angola candomblé in Santos city, indentifying the caboclo s role in this religious structure. The memories pointed out a fixed point in space, which is the pier. The pier became the scenery, the landscape, in which the memory of a candomblé by the sea was anchored. In the speaker s voices, the masts, the sails, the streetcars, the streets and the city allies have expressed themselves as walking rhetoric and also pieced together the web in which several practices and cultural dynamics were attached. In this net of sense and meaning the angola nation takes a privileged spot in this analysis. We defend that the caboclo is a key component in this religious structure of this nation. This entity brought, as one tries to argue, a kind of unity to the angola candomblé. One of the premises which involves the caboclo s analysis consists in giving him the role to keep angola candomblé memory and identity. Neste trabalho situo a memória do Candomblé Angola na cidade de Santos, identificando o papel do caboclo nessa estrutura religiosa. As lembranças apontaram um ponto fixo no espaço, qual seja o cais do porto. Este se tornou o cenário, a paisagem, em que a memória de um Candomblé à beira-mar estava ancorada. Nas vozes dos interlocutores, os mastros, as velas, os bondes, as ruas e os becos da cidade se manifestaram como retóricas caminhatórias e, igualmente, recompuseram o tecido pelo qual diversas práticas e dinâmicas culturais estavam atadas. Nessa rede de sentidos e significados, a nação Angola ocupa lugar privilegiado nesta análise. Defendo que o caboclo constitui peça fundamental na estrutura religiosa dessa nação. Essa entidade trouxe, como se tenta argumentar, certa unidade ao Candomblé Angola, marcado por cisões em seu interior. Umas das premissas que envolve a análise do caboclo consiste em lhe atribuir o papel de manutenção da memória e identidade do Candomblé Angola. Esta tese constitui um trabalho sobre a memória em muitos sentidos: no olhar do pesquisador, nas lembranças entrecruzadas, no papel dos guardiões da memória, nas performances do caboclo, entre outros aspectos.

Pełny tekst źródłaConducted in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil, the ethnographic research presented by this work describes the dynamics within a set of mediations, which not only pervades different institutional and economic instances, but also shapes the construction process of death and of the dead person through a physical intervention on the body as well as through the creation of a specific memory. Death is thus more than the mere destitution of a life: it is the institution of a new state, it means becoming something else. A new set of papers are in order as much as the transposition of the legal status. The funeral circuits are hence acting upon the construction of this new state while simultaneously acknowledging the dead person’s presence through the imposition of a moral and corporeal presence. The dead person, not being a locus of passivity, displays his/hers life by setting behavioral guidelines in dealings concerning his/hers funeral arrangements, as well as by influencing choices and decisions through his/hers presence within the aforementioned dynamics.

Pełny tekst źródłaThis thesis advances an analysis of the discourses built by a plethora of social actors which bring to light tensions, dramas and negotiations around the construction of a film library in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The data are drawn from an ethnographic fieldwork undertaken between september/2006 and december/2007. Some narratives and practices of individuals who founded the Associação de Amigos do Cine-Theatro Capitólio (Aamica), inhabitants of Porto Alegre’s downtown, as well as of professionals associated to the Fundação Cinema RS (Fundacine) are analysed. As it is propounded, these are the agents involved in the construction of the Cinemateca Capitólio. On the one hand, according to Fundacine members, the project of a movie library in Rio Grande do Sul is the product of the development of the audiovisual field in the state and can only be fulfilled by researchers and local movie makers. On the other hand, Aamica’s members’ discourses are seen as inserted in the experience of living the neighborhood now having the past in perspective. These narratives motivate a reflection about the processes of resignification of the public space, constructed in the relations and social representations of the neighborhood via the informants’ memories. The issue of preservation is intertwined with the themes upon which this thesis is elaborated: a building deemed as a city and state heritage, an old street cinema, and the memory of the audiovisual field in the state.

At teacher life histories, the teachers figure has highlight, being research object for studies about the teacher profession. At this dissertation, the life history of teacher Mário Moacyr Porto is an information source that searches a reflection about the form of teacher professional identify and its educative practices at the form-research perspective. At the performed effort to rebuild this history, was necessary to use the bibliographical gender, differently to the epical narration of historical characters, but establishing a dialogical parallel between the subject and the context that he is placed. In this challenge of finding methodological ways for the historiography, the New Cultural History shows as a movement that bring the cultural aspects as meeting possibility with new objects, sources and methodologies, that let to access new views of History investigation. Starting with the qualitative study of the teacher life trajectory uncovering, in the union between history and memory, by the Oral History was possible to infer about meaning educative aspects at the Paraíba’s Education History. Constitutes objective of the research to analyze the teacher life history of Mário Moacyr Porto, verifying his paper at the Paraíba’s juridical culture build, knowing his active participation in the intellectual militarism, practice that searches the justice establishment, fundamental rights lien, foment and dissemination of democratic ideals. His participation was found in important moments at the educational setting, being involved with the fight of the Law College implantation, the University of Paraíba federalization and the elaboration and teaching of the 1st subject of Civil Law, corroborating to the juridical-educational form of Paraíba.
Em histórias de vida professoral, a figura do professor ganha destaque, se constituindo objeto de pesquisa em favor de estudos sobre a profissão docente. Neste trabalho dissertativo, a história de vida do professor Mário Moacyr Porto se apresenta como fonte de informações que buscam a reflexão acerca da formação da identidade profissional docente e suas práticas educativas na perspectiva da pesquisa-formação. No esforço que empenhamos em reconstituir essa história, foi necessário recorrermos ao gênero biográfico, não mais como narração épica de personagens heroicos, mas estabelecendo um paralelo dialógico entre o sujeito e o contexto em que está situado. Neste desafio de encontrar caminhos metodológicos para a historiografia, a Nova História Cultural se mostra enquanto movimento que traz os aspectos culturais como possibilidade de encontro com novos objetos, fontes e metodologias, que permitem acesso a novas vertentes de investigação da História. Ao partir do estudo qualitativo de desvelamento da trajetória de vida professoral, no entrelaçamento entre história e memória, por meio da História oral é que nos foi permitido inferir sobre aspectos educacionais significativos na História da educação paraibana. Constitui objetivo da pesquisa, analisar a História de vida professoral de Mário Moacyr Porto, verificando o papel desempenhado por ele na construção da cultura jurídica paraibana, a saber, da sua participação ativa no militarismo intelectual, prática que buscava o estabelecimento da justiça, garantia dos direitos fundamentais, fomento e disseminação dos ideais democráticos. Encontramos sua participação em momentos importantes no cenário educacional, ao se envolver na luta pela implantação da Faculdade de Direito, federalização da Universidade da Paraíba e a elaboração e ensino da 1ª cadeira de Direito civil, corroborando para a formação educacional - jurídica da Paraíba.

Pełny tekst źródłaThis study aims to examine the past representation in the educational series published between 1916 and 1920 by Achylles Porto Alegre (1848-1926). Man of letters active in Porto Alegre’s intellectuality since the 19th century, at the end of this life, the author dedicates himself to the education of younger generations of rio-grandenses. To do so, he offers the public a series of small books in which, based in his memory and testimony, he provides examples of characters and events worthy of imitation. So, the analysis is organized around three axes of explanation. The first seeks to identify the mechanisms mobilized by Achylles, beyond the fiduciary dimension of the testimony, in order to construct himself as a allowed narrator through the analysis of the prefaces of his books. It was revealed that the author works in the maintenance of the local memory, finding in it a place for himself and his presented experiences. The second explanatory axis seeks to define the chronicle’ status as a border genre in which the chronological record of the past links with the creative uses of language found in literature, as well to understand the approaches and detachments established by the author between the writings of the educational trilogy and imaginative literature. In this sense, the chronicle is presentes itself as the textual/discursive vehicle to a past’s representation that seeks to educate and please. With history and literature operating as teaching tools of nationality and regionality, where both genders guard about the referent, the trace that keeps away the educational enterprise of imaginative literature is the thing’s precedence, attested by the memory from which Achylles affirms the truth of the reported past. Finally, the third axis priority is to understand the sense of history conveyed by exemplary biographies of ilustrious men, that articulates a conception of time that will be confronted by the temporalities of memory and progress that go through his writing. Thus, we see in a moment of disorientation in time, the past, as a field of experience, again directing once again the future horizon of expectation, contrary to what one might expect after the advent of modernity.

Pełny tekst źródłaO presente trabalho é uma reflexão aprofundada sobre a importância da reinvenção da identidade e memória em torno de um espaço arquitetónico através do sistema sensorial do homem. Motivou-nos a procura dar a conhecer, melhorar a qualidade de vida e a imagem de Vila Forte. Este interesse derivou da necessidade de refletir e dispor soluções para um edifício imponente que pontua esta vila e que se encontra em abandono, desvalorizando a zona envolvente. A revitalização do espaço urbano que circunda este edifício, transmutado em o Hotel na proposta de intervenção arquitetónica, tornou-se um marco importante para o desenvolvimento e integração do edifício neste lugar, conferindo assim novos usos e novas vivências ao lugar. Neste processo de reabilitação, o sujeito revela-se uma componente estruturante, capaz de conceber uma ligação emocional com a arquitetura, por via da enfatização da forma e da matéria e do acionamento dos seus sentidos. Assim sendo, a componente de investigação desencadeada foi de crucial importância para a tomada de decisões sobre as premissas da intervenção urbana e arquitetónica. A análise e experiência do lugar, a auscultação dos residentes e visitantes, e a mobilização de procedimentos complementares de análise que contribuíram de forma decisiva para a definição do programa e da intervenção, ao nível da escala urbana e ao nível da escala do edifício. A intervenção proposta tem como objetivo recuperar alguns elementos simbólicos invocados a partir da análise da memória coletiva e da matriz identitária manifestada pela população do concelho e que se foram tornando difusos com o passar dos anos. Para tal, a proposta de intervenção procura não apenas beneficiar os residentes do concelho, portomosenses, bem como os visitantes, promovendo social, cultural e economicamente a vila de Porto de Mós.
ABSTRACT: The present work is a detailed reflexion about the reinvention of the identity and memory around an architectural space through man’s sensory system. It motivated us to come to know and elevate Vila Forte’s quality of life and overall image. This interest was derived from the need to reflect and provide solutions to an imposing building that punctuates this village and that has been abandoned, devaluing the surrounding area. The revitalization of the urban space that surrounds this building, transmuted into the Hotel in the proposal of architectural intervention, has become an important landmark for the development and integration of the building in this place, thus giving new uses and new experiences to the place. In this process of rehabilitation, the subject reveals itself as a structuring component capable of conceiving an emotional connection with architecture, through the emphasis on form and matter and the activation of its senses. Thus, the research component was crucially important for decision-making on the premises of urban and architectural intervention. The analysis and experience of the place, the listening of residents and visitors, and the mobilization of complementary procedures of analysis contributed decisively to the definition of the program and the intervention, in terms of the urban scale and the scale of the building. The proposed intervention aims to recover some symbolic elements invoked from the analysis of collective memory and identity matrix manifested by the population of the county and have become diffused over the years. To this end, the intervention proposal seeks not only to benefit residents of the county, Portomosenses, as well as visitors, promoting socially, culturally and economically the town of Porto de Mós.

Pełny tekst źródłaThe starting point of this research are the concerns raised during my practice as a psychologist in a primary care service of the Public Health System, with people who live in a community in the urban resettlement process. The removal of the inhabitants of the territory Vila Dique and their resettlement in Porto Novo, located on the city´s border region is concomitant with urban reforms to host FIFA World Cup 2014 in Porto Alegre, capital of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. The research presents the urban lifestyles and experiences of young people from this territory, questioning how these experiences produce their existential territories (subjectivity) . The main methodological guides used are the contributions of Walter Benjamin, in particular the Literary Montage method, Narration, Flânerie . The research was made up of a kaleidoscope of memories, in which listening to the youngsters´ narratives about their experiences in living places was added to the researcher´s memories while meeting other young people. The participants were young people between 12 and 29 linked to the Project “Memórias da Vila Dique” , a partnership between Faculdade de Educação/ Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and Unidade de Saúde Santíssima Trindade/ Grupo Hospitalar Conceição. The researcher followed the Project´s actions in 2013 : Groups and video performed with the youngsters about their social networks , cultural practices and resettlement experience. The recording was made in a journal and transcriptions of materials collected during the project were also used. The narratives presented here reflect the multiplicity of experiences of young people with their territory of residence. The heterogeneity of life in Vila Dique / Porto Novo is shown in different points of view about spaces and situations that could seem to be experienced in a similar way. Even with the plurality of experiences described, all participants give importance to the sense of community and the pro- community actions by residents, denoting sense of belonging and identification with the group´s "cause ". Shared stories and memories of older residents, ranging from generation to generation through oral tradition - and now through Project “Memórias” are vectors that legitimize these feelings , helping to reinforce the (illusion of) collective identity. One effect of this is the sense of continuity between Vila Dique and Porto Novo that can be noticed in the youngsters´ speech, in which Dique is still the reference (both positive and negative). It was also observed that for the youngsters, territory is intrinsically related to the neighborhood and the city. The narratives we bring here also express a wish of citizenship. The issues raised in the research seek to bring perspectives on youth living in areas of occupation that do not necessarily go through the precariousness and fragility due to their social status (current discourse among this population). This research intends to contribute to studies on youth and social practices in the fields of Social Psychology and Public Health.

The dissertation aims to discuss the relation between religious life, politics and struggle for territory in urban contexts from the study of the feast of NossaSenhora da Conceição, in the region so called Porto do Capim, in João Pessoa. Based on a procedural perspective, the dissertation describes the production of the feast in its material and symbolic relations with the Church, the State and Social Movements according the engagement of various subjects both in the feast and other spaces of interlocution and political disputes. Entered into a dispute context for their stay in an space occupied at least for six decades, residents of Porto do Capim are appropriating from the feast as a space for trading and exhibition of their demands, and consolidation of a memory as a specific group. Meanwhile, also setting games and arrangements through networking and partnership through the feast whose highest goal mobilization in favor of their stay in the territory.
A presente dissertação tem como propósito a discutir as relações entre religiosidades, política e disputa pelo território em contextos urbanos a partir do estudo da festa de Nossa Senhora da Conceição, na região do Porto do Capim, em João Pessoa. Tomando como base uma perspectiva processual, no trabalho descreve-se a produção da festa, suas relações materiais e simbólicas com a Igreja, com o Estado e com movimentos sociais a partir do engajamento de sujeitos variados tanto no espaço festivo quanto em outros espaços de interlocução e disputa política. Inseridos em um contexto de disputa pela sua permanência no espaço que ocupam há pelo menos seis décadas, os moradores do Porto do Capim apropriam-se da festa como um espaço para negociação e exposição de suas demandas, e consolidação de uma memória enquanto grupo específico. Nesse ínterim, também estabelecendo jogos e arranjos através da criação de redes e parceria através da festa que têm como objetivo maior a mobilização em favor de sua permanência no território.

Pełny tekst źródłaThis dissertation presents an ethnographic study about territorial conflicts surfaced in the process of transformation of urban landscape on the waterfront of Guaíba Lake, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, through urban projects idealized and implanted in the south waterfront of the city, particularly in Cristal neighborhood and its adjacencies. Amid the conflicts related to the use and occupation of the lake waterfront, this study aims to understand how the material and symbolic construction of this area operates over time, focusing on the way social belonging and social roots, as well as mobility and urban dynamism, expressed in the narrative of the inhabitants of these territories under dispute, are built. The conception of time and space from which this dissertation develops articulates a dialogic relation between two scales of analysis: everyday life and sociability of the inhabitants on the way they occupy these urban spaces under conflict; contemporary urban policies and its regulations of the urban space. Based on the idea of an ongoing appraisement process regarding the heritage of the lake waterfront, this research analyzes principles, orientations and languages oriented by the ideas of the democratic city that are incorporated by the logic of the regulation of the city in the Brazilian context, considering the “environmental” adjustment of the urban dynamics. In this context, this study investigates the practices and meanings attributed by the subjects involved in the territorial conflicts, emphasizing the continuity and discontinuity of value systems, social identities and memories at play in these territories, evidencing tensions between homogeneity/heterogeneity of the political dynamics and social experiences in the process of urban transformation.

Here I intend to discuss aspects of knowledge and pratice of the profession including the process of learning the craft and the social networks of entering the profession. Also, I dedicate myself to the analysis of forms of sociability that take place in these barber shops, which helps in understanding how the interlocutors of this research live their wokspace, as well as consider relevant to the ethnographic process the narratives that professional barbers build to create a sense of belonging to the urban landscape.

Pełny tekst źródłaEste estudio tematiza el histórico de la Ley municipal 10.965 de 2010 que establece la obligatoriedad de la enseñanza de la historia del Holocausto Judío dentro del currículo de la red municipal de enseñanza, concentrándose en el campo de la Historia de la Educación. En el proceso de elaboración de esta investigación, nos centramos en los conceptos de Enseñanza de Historia, Deber de Memoria, Memoria e Historia que estuvieron conjugados durante los procesos que involucraron tal legislación memorial y educativa. Estos conceptos surgieron a partir de una serie de entrevistas con sujetos vinculados a instituciones sociales públicas y privadas que estuvieron involucrados en los procesos que conciernen a esa ley. Los análisis de las entrevistas siguieron el método de la entrevista comprensiva, construido por Kauffman (2013). El recorte temporal que seleccionamos fue fruto del análisis documental que producimos basado en documentos físicos (actas, legislaciones, periódicos) y documentos digitales (informativos digitales y repercusión mediática) y se extiende desde el 24 de marzo de 2009 hasta el 22 de octubre de 2011. Este período que comprende la posesión de la presidencia de la FIRS, que hace público el deseo de la comunidad judía en tener una ley que trate de la enseñanza de la historia del Holocausto en Porto Alegre y el evento Jornada de la Enseñanza de la Historia del Holocausto. Por medio de las entrevistas, destacamos el proceso de institucionalización de la memoria del Holocausto, en específico, su ascensión como memoria paradigmática y universal de los Siglos XX y XXI. Así, este estudio tiene como objetivo constituir un breve panorama del debate en torno a las leyes étnico-raciales que tratan de temas memorial y educativo que se encaminan directamente a la Enseñanza de Historia tomado como mecanismo de promoción y constitución de un Deber de Historia basado en los principios de justicia, reparación y reconocimiento, construidos a partir del concepto de Deber de Memoria. Discutimos, aún, los desafíos de la gestión de esa memoria como un tema sensible y controvertido dentro de la Historia del Tiempo Presente. A pesar de ello, evidenciamos los trabajos realizados por el mundo que encaminaron el tema del Holocausto a la Enseñanza Escolar. En el cuerpo del análisis, establecemos la relación existente entre el tema y su relación con la educación y las relaciones étnico-raciales, estableciendo vinculaciones y los desafíos para la consolidación de una enseñanza orientada al combate del racismo y del prejuicio racial. También concentramos nuestros esfuerzos para debatir las nociones de Currículo y Enseñanza de Historia, que fueron promulgadas durante los procesos que involucraron la Ley Municipal 10.965 de 2010. Con base en las entrevistas, percibimos tanto voces favorables a los encaminamientos propuestos por esa legislación como discordantes voces disonantes al énfasis dado al Holocausto por esa legislación, ya que la misma lo condiciona con un evento circunscrito a la comunidad judía. Junto a eso, destacamos la existencia criticas volcadas a la forma verticalizada con esa alteración en el currículo escolar ocurrió en Porto Alegre. The present work aims to understand how the information contained in the documents which constitutes the José Simeão Leal Collection contributes to the construction of the Jurema memories in the state of Paraíba. In assuming, in the 1940’s, the position in the Administrative Department of Public Service of the state of Paraíba, the doctor and intellectual José Simeão Leal José has focused in researching and registering the manifestations of popular culture of his state. In the midst of this study, informations were collected on the Jurema, Afro-Indian religiosity. The collected documents are in the form of photographs, a drawing, typewritten and manuscripts. Also, there are correspondences received by researchers on the subject, such as Roger Bastide. The documentation is in the José Simeão Leal Collection, located, since 2009, in the Núcleo de Documentação e Informação Histórico Regional. The collection constitutes both a space of memory of José Simeão Leal himself and of the people and practices that have had contact with him and left traces in his life, such as the religious and rituals of Jurema recorded in his research. We understand the importance of the sources for the construction of the memorialistic narrative of the religious / Afro-indigenous in Paraíba taking as theoretical-methodological foundation the studies inserted in the field of social sciences, specifically Information Science, which deal with social memory, Culture, identity, and documents used as memory mediums (ASSMANN, 2011), in addition to research on religion. The methodological assumptions are based on documentary analysis (ARÓSTEGUI, 2006) and, since the image, especially photography, constitutes the main document of the study, the resources of semiotics (SANTAELLA and NÖTH, 1997) directed the analysis of this documentary type. The documents about Jurema in the personal archive reveal the ethnographic methodology of the research of José Simeão Leal, as well as the complexity and richness of this religiosity, with a diversity of ritual, ornamentation, entities, objects, musicalities and spaces.
O presente trabalho tem como objetivo compreender como as informações constantes dos documentos que constituem o Acervo José Simeão Leal contribuem para a construção das memórias da Jurema no estado da Paraíba. Ao assumir, na década de 1940, o cargo no Departamento Administrativo de Serviço Público do estado da Paraíba, o médico e intelectual paraibano José Simeão Leal se debruçou em pesquisar e registrar as manifestações de cultura popular de seu estado. Em meio a esse estudo, foram levantadas informações sobre a Jurema, religiosidade afro-indígena. Os documentos levantados encontram–se em forma de fotografias, desenho, datilografados e manuscritos. Também, constam correspondências recebidas pelos pesquisadores sobre o tema, como Roger Bastide. A documentação consta no Acervo José Simeão Leal, situado, desde 2009, no Núcleo de Documentação e Informação Histórico Regional. O acervo se constitui tanto como um espaço de memória do próprio José Simeão Leal, quanto das pessoas e práticas que tiveram contato e deixaram resquícios em sua vida, como os/as religiosos/as e rituais de Jurema registrados em sua pesquisa. Compreendemos a importância das fontes para a construção da narrativa memorialística dos/das religiosos/das afro-indígenas na Paraíba tomando como fundamentação teórico-metodológica os estudos inseridos no campo das ciências sociais, especificamente da Ciência da Informação, que versam sobre a memória social, cultura, identidade e sobre os documentos utilizados enquanto médiuns de memória (ASSMANN, 2011), somado às pesquisas sobre a religião. Os pressupostos metodológicos partem da análise documental (ARÓSTEGUI, 2006) e, tendo em vista que a imagem, especialmente a fotografia, se constitui documento principal do estudo, os recursos da semiótica (SANTAELLA; NÖTH, 1997) direcionaram a análise desse tipo documental. Os documentos sobre a Jurema constantes no arquivo pessoal revelam a metodologia etnográfica da pesquisa de José Simeão Leal, bem como, a complexidade e riqueza dessa religiosidade, com diversidade de ritual, de ornamentação, de entidades, de objetos, de musicalidades e de espaços.

As we all known, two aspects decide how fast the PC-based data acquisition can be reached. One aspect is CPU processing and the other is I/O bandwidth. Indeed, the first aspect has changed increasingly insignificant because the frequency of CPU has exceeded 700MHz which can satisfy fully the need of high rate data processing. So I/O bandwidth is the only key factor of the high rate PC-based data acquisition and we must adopt efficient data buffer techniques to satisfy the demand of telemetry data entry. This paper presents a buffered data channel which use memory mapping, EPLD and Dual-Port SRAM techniques. The operation platform of this design is WINDOWS95/98 and the software includes device driver and real-time processing routines.

Pełny tekst źródłaThe present dissertation is the result of the ethnographic research carried out between September 2007 and December 2008 among inhabitants and other actors of "Vila Elo Dourado" in the former rural region of Lomba do Pinheiro, Porto Alegre. The questions that guided the research refer to the configuration of city memories. The objective was to provide answers through an interpretative comprehension of practices and narrations of the studied group. This comprehension was built from the interaction based on fieldwork assumed as a "walk together" towards the urban landscape as the actors experience it. The researcher point of view was just one in the narrative, figuring out maps, frontiers and imaginative landscapes. All the observed and the narrated narratives were considered as constituent and constitutive of a shared memory and as forms of agency which imply ways of imagining and acting.
Esta disertación es el resultado de la investigación etnográfica realizada entre setiembre de 2007 y diciembre de 2008 entre los habitantes del asentamiento Elo Dourado y otros actores, en una antigua región rural de la ciudad de Porto Alegre llamada Lomba do Pinheiro. Las preguntas que orientaron la investigación refieren a las configuraciones de una memoria de la ciudad. Se buscó dar respuesta a estas preguntas a través de la comprensión interpretativa de prácticas y narrativas observadas y oídas en el grupo estudiado. Esta comprensión fue construida en la interlocución del trabajo de campo, entendido como un "caminar juntos" en el esfuerzo de imaginar el espacio urbano tal como lo viven los sujetos de estudio. El lugar de la investigadora también fue entendido como el lugar del narrador, esbozando mapas junto a sus interlocutores y desplazándose con ellos a través de fronteras y paisajes imaginarios. Tanto las prácticas observadas como las narrativas escuchadas fueron consideradas constituyentes y constitutivas de una memoria compartida y de formas de agencia que implican maneras de imaginar y de actuar.

Cette thèse cherche initialement à reconstituer et présenter une école au début du XX siècle à Porto Velho, au départ des mémoires des récits de professeurs noirs descendants des travailleurs barbadiens qui sont venus travailler dans la construction de la « Estrada de Ferro Madeira-Mamoré – E.F.M.M. », et qui étaient des étudiants à l‟école appelée « dos categas » logée dans des espaces différents de la colline « Alto do Bode » et qui présentait un modèle d‟éducation n‟est pas envisagé, car la ville n‟avait pas des écoles. L‟objectif de cette étude est de présenter, au-delà de l‟école, les mémoires de trois professeurs, les sujets de la recherche, du fonctionnement et des aspects pédagogiques qui soutenaient la pratique de l‟école, ainsi comme l‟aspect mobile, puisque l‟école ne fonctionne pas dans un endroit fixe. Analyser les mémoires en tant que substance sociale du processus historique expérimenté et comme le gardien de l‟individuel et du collectif par rapport à d‟autres aspects comme le langage, l‟identité, l‟affection, la religion, les valeurs et les visions du monde est aussi notre but. Le texte de la thèse est divisé en quatre sections dont la première traite de l‟occupation et exploitation des espaces amazoniques jusqu‟au début de la E.F.M.M.; la seconde présente les Barbadiens, l‟espace dans lequel ils vivaient, l‟école qu‟ils ont construit et comment ils pensaient et ils faisaient l‟éducation; la troisième se constitue de la présentation et l‟analyse des mémoires de l‟école et d‟autres catégories ; la quatrième montre comment c‟est donné la tentative d‟effacer la colline « Alto do Bode » et la tentative de rendre invisible par le gouvernement les marques sociales laissées par les Barbadiens. A presente tese trata inicialmente da tentativa de reconstituição e apresentação de uma escola no início do século XX, em Porto Velho, a partir das memórias contidas nas narrativas/depoimentos das professoras negras, descendentes de trabalhadores barbadianos que chegaram para trabalhar na construção da Estrada de Ferro Madeira-Mamoré – E.F.M.M, e que foram alunas da chamada escola dos categas, abrigada nos vários espaços do morro do Alto do Bode e que apresentava um modelo de educação não contemplado, pois a cidade não tinha escolas. O objetivo do estudo é apresentar, além da escola, as memórias de três professoras, sujeitos da pesquisa, sobre o funcionamento e os aspectos pedagógicos que fundamentavam a prática escolar, bem como o aspecto móvel, posto que a escola não funcionasse em um lugar fixo. Analisar as memórias como substância social do processo histórico vivenciado e como guardiã do individual e do coletivo em relação a outros aspectos como: linguagem, identidade, afetividade, religião, valores, concepções de mundo se fez também nosso objetivo. A tese divide-se em quatro seções: a primeira trata da ocupação e exploração dos espaços amazônicos até o início da E.F.M.M.; a segunda apresenta os barbadianos, o espaço em que viviam, a escola que construíram e a forma como pensavam e faziam educação; a terceira constitui-se na apresentação e análise das memórias sobre a escola e outras categorias; a quarta mostra como se deu a tentativa de apagamento do morro do Alto do Bode e a tentativa de invisibilizar, pelo governo, as marcas sociais deixadas pelos barbadianos. Dessa forma, a tese traz à tona a história da educação dos barbadianos vindos para a construção da E.F.M.M., e a complexidade de construir e viver o social amazônico
The present thesis initially deals with the attempt of reconstitution and presentation of a school at the beginning of the XXth. century in Porto Velho, based on the memories contained in the narratives/depositions of the negro teachers descending from Barbadian workers who came for the construction of the E.F.M.M Madeira-Mamoré railroad. These teachers were pupils of the so called categas‟ school, sheltered in some spaces of the Alto do Bode (Goat Hill) which presented a model of education not contemplated, once the city did not have schools. The objective of the study is to present, beyond the school, the memories of three teachers on the pedagogical functioning and aspects that based the school practice, as well as the mobility aspect, given that the school was not located in a fixed place. To analyze the memories as social substance of the lived historical process and as an individual and collective guardian relating to other aspects such as: language, identity, affectivity, religion, values, world conceptions also made up our objective. The text is divided in four sections: the first one deals with the occupation and exploration of the Amazonian spaces until the beginning of E.F.M.M.; the second section presents the Barbadians, the space where they lived, the school they built and the way they thought and made education; the third one consists of the presentation and analysis of the memories around the school and other categories; the fourth shows how the attempt to erase the Alto do Bode and the attempt of the government to make it invisible, the social marks left by the Barbadians. This way the thisis bring to light the barbadian education history who came with the E.F.M.M railroad builand the complexity of the amazonic social building and living

Pełny tekst źródłaThe qualitative research carried out from 2006 until 2009 has originated the present thesis upon the routes of social street educators in Porto Alegre, State of Rio Grande do Sul. It takes as references the resentment memories of the city‟s visible and invisible, produced and felt by those city agents in distinct times of initiatives derived from assistance and educative public policies addressed to children and adolescents living in the streets. Registers and memory representations correspond to policies created by the municipal public power at the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st one. The study aims to analyze the resentments carried day after day by these social street educators in their personal memories bags, and the contents that such resentments can reveal on their entrances and exits through the labyrinthine political routes in the city. In order to demonstrate those findings the Patrimonial Education was used as methodology aiming to bring some reflection and questioning about the relations and processes experienced by the subjects of research in their interlocution with the city, with public management instances and with service rendering instances at that time, within the municipality, in order to carry out those children and adolescents‟ education in particular. Some documental sources emerge from the sensitivity of the related memories, other than the written ones, consisting of objects and places implicit in the social street educators‟ daily task which reveal educators carrying resentment memories. Their routes originate some elements contributive to an updated discussion of the public policies adopted for the approaching and interaction with such contemporary urban phenomenon.

Pełny tekst źródłaThis work, based on Science and Technology, is the enhancement of a local product, namely, which is the qualification of the small-scale statue O Laçador, marketed in different materials and various tourist spots of Rio Grande do Sul. Through the historical context of the monument O Laçador that symbolizes the people “gaúcho”, search technology three-dimensional with 3D Laser Scanner, rapid prototyping 3D printer and the casting of the small-scale statue O Laçador in the technique of slip casting, this work exemplifies a possible action of the designer within a project Territory Design. This work also aimed to assess the incorporation and inerting waste of EAF powder into ceramic mass of the statuette for making O Laçador material in support environmentally friendly. Finally, this work also sought to contribute to the preservation of the collective memory of a monument that is historical and cultural heritage, as well as rescue the memory of the great sculptor Antonio Caringi, name to be remembered by the monument O Laçador.

Pełny tekst źródłaThis research is a study about biographic account and social path and the audio ethnography technique regarging the study of inhabitants' everyday life memory in the Bairro Navegantes territory, Porto Alegre, Brazil. The interpretation of dealing methods of the local with the transformations produced in the area's landscapte throughout the last decades is the starting point of this study. Through the ethnographic research of the forms of work, occupation acts, and sociabilities from Porto Alegre's neighborhoods of São Geraldo's and Navegantes' inhabitants - and their ways of accouting the transformation in the inner area of Quarto Distrito - , this research aims at understanding the place memory duration phenomenon integrating the ways these subjects experienced the city of Porto Alegre. Moreover, it aims at contemplating the tensions, the differences of worldview, and lifestyles of the diverse actors of the ethnographic social scene, relating them to distinct social practice in the studied area as interpretative key to possible accomodation for the space-time transformation of the place by its inhabitants.

Este estudo versa sobre a construção de uma possível história do Colégio Estadual Júlio de Castilhos, da cidade de Porto Alegre (RS), no período da ditadura civil-militar, a partir da memória de quatro ex-professoras que atuaram na Instituição nesse período e de documentos escritos. As memórias das ex-professoras são compreendidas sob a perspectiva de memória coletiva de Halbwachs (1990), memória e identidade de Pollak (1992) e memória de trabalho de Bosi (1995). Por meio da metodologia História Oral e da análise documental refletiu-se sobre o período estudado. As fontes produzidas são analisadas e discutidas à luz dos conceitos: tática de Certeau (1996), representações e práticas de Chartier (2002). Assim, a partir das memórias das professoras e dos documentos escritos foi possível identificar diferentes elementos relacionados à história do Colégio Júlio de Castilhos, durante o período da ditadura civil-militar, como também compreender, a partir desses elementos, os distintos aspectos relacionados às práticas do cotidiano escolar e sua relação com um contexto social de repressão política, vigente na época pesquisada. Quanto às memórias referentes ao Colégio Júlio de Castilhos constatou-se ser uma Instituição de significativa representatividade para quem lá estudou ou atuou como professor. Sobre as práticas, evidenciaram-se aspectos referentes a táticas construídas pelos professores em relação a situações impostas pelo governo ditatorial. As práticas organizavam-se através de movimentos ambientalistas, do manejo de uma aula, da seleção de conteúdos, de uma seleção diferenciada para professores. Percebe-se, que mesmo quem não reconhecia suas lutas políticas, lutou pelos seus ideais, e alguns que frequentaram o Colégio em um período tão atribulado conforme alguns relatos, pouco perceberam.
This study deals with the construction of a possible history of State School Julio de Castilhos, in Porto Alegre (RS), the period dictatorship, from the memory of four teachers who worked in the institution during this period and written documents. Teachers’ memories are understood from the perspective of collective memory Halbwachs (1990), memory and identity Pollak (1992) and working memory Bosi (1995). Therefore, through an Oral History methodology and documentary analysis was reflected about the study period. The results are analyzed and discussed through these concepts: tactical by Certeau (1996), representations and practices by Chartier (2002). Thus, from the memories of teachers and written documents was possible to identify different elements related to possibility to compose a history of School Julio de Castilhos, during the period dictatorship, and understand, from these elements related, the different aspects related to the practices of school life and its relationship to the social context of politics, current repression in the researched period. About memories of School Julio de Castilhos it was found to be a significant institution, for those who studied or worked as a teacher. In the practices showed up aspects related to tactics by teachers in relation to situations imposed by the dictatorial government. Some practices were constituted by environmental movements, the management of a class, the selection of content, a differentiated selection for teachers. Perceive itself, that who did not recognize their political struggles , fought for their ideals, and some who attended the School in a period as troubled as some told, little noticed .

Pełny tekst źródłaEsta tese trata da transformação do conceito da preservação do patrimônio, da sua noção ligada às práticas sociais e às políticas urbanas, vistas a partir do cotidiano dos sujeitos nelas envolvidos. Reflete sobre os processos de reavaliação dos sentidos desse conceito central através da observação da legislação urbana, do panorama político da cidade analisada e das trajetórias sociais de sujeitos inseridos em projetos de reabilitação urbana, arquitetônica e gestão de programas e órgãos de preservação, nas instâncias municipal, estadual e federal. Constrói-se uma rede de informantes a partir da verificação das interrelações institucionais de sujeitos da preservação e do planejamento urbano. O objeto de estudo está compreendido no universo desses sujeitos e na identificação de recorrências que caracterizam o imaginário da preservação no planejamento e das lógicas do planejamento na preservação. Toma-se como foco de análise as narrativas biográficas e os discursos desses sujeitos acerca do fazer técnico e político que pressupõe a preservação de bens culturais. Situando-se no âmbito das ciências sociais aplicadas, a pesquisa vale-se do aporte teórico-metodológico do Planejamento Urbano e Regional em diálogo com a Sociologia Urbana e com a Antropologia Social Urbana. Essa aproximação teórico-metodológica é fundamental para a compreensão dos caminhos assumidos para a análise do imaginário identificado na delegação de valor a determinados bens, espaços e práticas políticas, bem como na investigação próxima de sujeitos e grupos sociais em seus processos de conflito, negociação e crise. Por crise, entendemos que ela é construída como estratégia de legitimação das intervenções. O conflito, por sua vez, é motivador para as transformações físicas e sociais. A observação dos modos de atuar técnica e politicamente em níveis distintos nas administrações públicas, manifestada no esforço cotidiano de construir papéis e espaços de ação e de integração nos leva a refletir, na transformação das formas, os princípios que regem arranjos sociais e coletivos no ambiente urbano, especialmente no que diz respeito à cultura de preservar cidades.
This thesis deals with the transformation about the concept of heritage preservation, their sense linked to the practices and urban politics, from the perspective of everyday practices of the individuals involved with them. Reflecting on the transformation process of the meanings of cultural heritage preservation in Brazil, through the observation of urban legislation, the political landscape of the city, and analyzing the trajectories of social subjects inserted in projects for urban revitalization, architectural and management of programs and agencies of preservation, in local, statical and federal instances. It builds a network of informants from the verification of inter institutional around the subjects of preservation and urban planning. The object of study is understood in the universe of subjects and on the identification of the recurrences that characterize the preservation’s planning imaginary and the logic of preservation. Take as the focus of analysis the biographical narratives and discourses about these subjects to technical and policy which requires the preservation of cultural properties. Situated within the Applied Social Sciences, this research uses an approach supported by theoretic-methodologic framework of the Urban and Regional Planning in a dialogue with the Urban Sociology and Urban Social Anthropology. This theoreticalmethodological approach is fundamental to understanding the paths assumed for the analysis of the imaginary identified in value delegation of certain cultural properties, spaces, and political practices, as well as a closest investigation around the subjects and social groups in its conflict and negotiations process and crisis. By crisis, we understand that it is constructed as a strategy to legitimize interventions. The conflict, in turn, is motivating for the physical and social transformations. The observation of the modes of acting technique and politically in distinctest levels of public government, manifested in the daily effort of building roles and spaces of action and integration lead us to reflect, on the transformation of the forms, the principles governing social arrangements and groups in the urban environment, particularly with regard to the culture to preserve cities.

The living in the group makes their meetings be motivated not only for photography, but also for friendship which involves them. Therefore, it is developed sociability in which various daily matters are shared among the group. Photography is, for several times, supportive and even motivating for remembrance. Group Leica 1 photographs, records, reminds, tells, and makes history; being either art or a document, being an art-document. For this reason, the present work was built based on living, memoirs, photographs, and by the multiple voices which are witnesses and agents to the history of Porto Alegre, to the history of photography, and many other histories.

Pełny tekst źródłaThis thesis investigates the production, circulation and safekeeping of photographic images of Black residents from the city of Porto Alegre, RS, through an ethnographic research with black families and their private photographic collections as well as an interpretative reading of the photographs that support a visual history of this urban population in public and institutional collections. I discuss the problem of photographic representations surrounding the memories of black families in the urban context of Porto Alegre, in view of the diverse historical and socio-cultural contexts involved in the production of these images. Based on ethnographic research from photographic documentation projects of black residents from the city in both familiar and afro-religious contexts, I present the practices of these residents associated with the photography and the constitution of self-images, and, in particular, the images narrated by these inhabitants in the observations of their private collections.I discuss the weaving of cultural policies by problematizing the different ethical dimensions involved in the implementation of such projects, presenting then, in light of a shared visual anthropology, the construction of the photographs produced during the research and the negotiations that punctuated the consents around both Afro-religious and family portraits. From the convergence of themes such as culture, memory, image and ethnicity in the national and international political agendas, it is discussed the concern of anthropology over the imagistic forms that express memory values, which are now entering a political arena.
