Pełny tekst źródłaThis PhD thesis aims to pursue the historical research carried out over the last twenty years on the economy of Marseille in the contemporary era. The changes that took place in the second half of the twentieth century (1945-1992) led to the gradual disappearance of a centuries-old system that combined the import of raw materials from colonial overseas, processing in coastal areas, and then re-exporting the resulting products to the hinterland or foreland. At the same time as the iconic branches of this system were weakening – oil and soap, mineral chemicals, food processing activities – some companies resisted the wave of closures, while other sectors were emerging – oil, steel, container logistics – in connection with the western expansion of port infrastructures towards Lavéra from 1952, then towards the Gulf of Fos-sur-Mer from 1968.Without easy access to the documents of the period in public archives, the causes, rhythms, stakeholders and precise details of these phenomena remain unknown. The files of the Port autonome de Marseille (Autonomous Port of Marseille) created in 1966, supplemented by the archives of the port authorities that preceded it, have shed new light on the situation since the end of the Second World War. Containing rich documentation on the strategies, discourses and representations of the stakeholders as well as unpublished quantitative data, they also allow an examination of the environmental issues raised by the creation of the Fos complex, symbol of a productivistic, polluting and energy-consuming model of development at the very heart of the "Glorious Thirties"
Moine, Hervé. "Intelligence économique territoriale de l'aire d'influence du Port de Marseille Fos". Université de Marne-la-Vallée, 2006. http://www.theses.fr/2007MARN0343.
Pełny tekst źródłaThe Port of Marseille-Fos, strengthened by its 10 000 hectares located at the mouth of the second largest river of the mediterranean basin is a center piece of a global network and a central core of a local network. Interfacing maritime and land stakes, the area which is influenced by this international port must become aware of this complex system which surrounds it. It is the main object of this action research work. The approach presented is structured around the concept of the "territorial manufacturing plant" which links the analytical vision of productivity to that of the plant and the systemic vision associated to sustainable territorial development. This concept has enabled the setting up of a process based on volontary prospective, concertation, action and innovation, which aroused the port's local network, which allowed it to change from a passive state to a receptive one. . . First step toward a territorial pact. The work carried out is based on a precise analysis of the port system problematic and it proposes a method which allows to coordinate the territorial "manufacturing plant" in order to better understand and govern its regulation systems / retroactions (economic, environmental and social). The concrete results are presented and commented in order to finally propose a Territorial Economic Intelligence Master Plan for the areas influenced by the Port of Marseille-Fos. This thesis is the first step of a long process which will lead this territory toward new richnesses

Pełny tekst źródłaMuridism, muslim brotherhood of obedience sufi is a movement founded by Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba MBACKÉ (1853-1927) in the year 1883 in Cayor and Bawol kingdoms located in the west and the centre of Senegal. Indeed, the murid thought is obviously known in its spiritual and community dimension but it is never put into perspective in the current context of globalization of trade and economies. The murid work takes into account three logics :- the spiritual relationship to work or the sacralization of the work ; the acquisition of knowledge, philosophical, religious, muslim or societal ;- a murid must commit to work to learn how the relationship to the gift of God, the rules of life in society ;- the disciple must also be independent economically in order to preserve its freedom. It must be free from material concerns to better live their faith, meet the needs of human existence, help his family and participate in the life of the community. However, it must develop a spirit of caring and giving of his time to the service of the community. In their migration, murid adapt in their host countries but remain deeply attached to their brotherhood, their religious practices and their country. Their role in the socio-economic development of Senegal is no more to demonstrate. Indeed, the murids are involved in many areas, some of which are usually vested in the State

Pełny tekst źródłaWe are interested in the question of the interactions between the actors located in a geographical agglomeration of the industrial-port zone (ZIP) type, thus triggering processes of cooperation and construction of territorial organization networks. According to this reasoning, we are interested in works that seek to trace the emergence of concepts of proximity economics and territorial governance. We will take into account approaches to reaffirm the value of interactions and the territorial dimension on economic activities. We start from the observation that "the propensity to interact with others is a fundamental characteristic of man" (Fujita and Thisse, 2003, p.25). Thus, we share with Bourdeau-Lepage and Huriot (2009) the idea that proximity reflects the greater or lesser ease of entering into a relationship, and therefore of interacting
Abdillahi, Youssouf. "La diaspora de la Grande Comore à Marseille et son apport sur le développement de l'île". Thesis, La Réunion, 2012. http://www.theses.fr/2012LARE0021/document.
Pełny tekst źródłaThe issue of Grande Comore diaspora is closely linked to the need to raise money for the big wedding, necessary step for the recognition of the individual in his society. The research proposes to approach the topic by following the itinerary of the first comorian migrants, the famous navigators in the Messageries Maritimes company, from Madagascar to France in the forties, then show the conditions of installation in the city of Marseille, and then analyze their contribution to the economic and social development of their country of origin. The presence of Grand Comorians in Marseille which began in the late forties, has intensified over the years. They became, over three decades, the largest black african community in Marseille and are emerging slowly with their identity and particularisms. Strongly attached to their island , Grande Comore diaspora has become an indispensable actor thanks to the financial and material contribution it brings today for the development of the island(25% GDP, more important than foreign aid to development). But the specter of a deep crisis threatens the Comoros: nothing garantees the continuity of transfers by new generations more concerned with their integration in France and less affected by village solidarity
Vignau, Mathilde. "Vers une géographie de la créativité : impacts des lieux, des activités et des événements créatifs et culturels sur le développement de la région Sud - Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur". Thesis, Aix-Marseille, 2019. http://www.theses.fr/2019AIXM0339.
Pełny tekst źródłaThis geographical thesis aims to define and quantify territorial creativity in the south-eastern part of France through a multi-scales approach and by mobilizing several methods. Since the beginning of the 2000’s, the word creativity has been more and more used by local decision-makers and urban planners. But if this notion is particularly important within speeches or territorial strategies, it remains a confusing word. Therefore, our analysis first focuses on a theoretical and critical study which allows to seize the large diversity of both the stakes and limits within such a subject. At the same time, it is undoubtably necessary to complete this epistemological frame with an empirical approach based on the study of three different fields which are : the SUD – Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region, the metropolitan area called Aix-Marseille Provence and finally, the sixteen districts of Marseille. Thank to this second part, the thesis underlines the huge diversity of creative forms (i.e. creative industries, cultural and creative amenities, big events, street-art…) and the territorial impacts that are linked to them. Finally, through several examples and by using numerous methods (i.e. statistic data, questionnaires, interviews, press analysis, maps…), this geographical thesis aims to assess the strengths and the weaknesses of territorial creativity in the south-east of France
