Streszczenie:
Background: Early detection of abnormal progress and prevention of prolonged labour can significantly improve the outcome of labour. Partograph is an inexpensive tool which can provide a continuous pictorial overview of labour and is essential to monitor and manage labour. The objectives were to study the course of normal and abnormal labour and to evaluate the maternal and perinatal outcome using simple and composite WHO partogram. Methods: This was a randomized study conducted at Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Government Medical College, Amritsar, a tertiary care centre in North India. 200 women with term, singleton, vertex gestation, in spontaneous labor were included in the study. In 100 cases composite partograph was plotted and in rest 100 cases simple partograph was plotted. The following outcomes were compared: labor crossing the alert and action line, augmentation of labor, rate of cesarean section, perinatal and maternal outcome. Results: The partogram crossed the alert line (p 0.008) and action lines (p 0.017), causing increased need for augmentation (p 0.034) in the composite partogram which was statistically significant. The numbers of vaginal deliveries were high (p<0.001) and decrease number of cesarean sections (p 0.007) and instrumental deliveries (p 0.009) in the simplified group. NICU admissions were also higher in the composite group (p<0.05), though most of the NICU admissions were due to hyperbilirubinemia and low birth weight and was not directly related to monitoring of labour. Conclusions: It was observed in the present study that labour can be managed without the latent phase being plotted on the partograph. The interventions were higher when the latent phase was included, with increased number of labours crossing the alert and action lines, increased no. of augmentations and larger number of caesarean sections. Our study favours the use of the WHO modified partograph, which should become routine practice in monitoring labour for better maternal and perinatal outcome.

Abstract: India is an agricultural country. In which 65% people are farmers. As, the population of india is increased, the demand of food is also increasing. In these circumstances, we need a fast cutting process instead of traditional cutting methods. In the past, agricultural activities were carried out with manual force. But today in most of our country there is a shortage of manpower; therefore labor is not available when required. So the labour cost for cutting of sugarcanes seed, groundnut and straw cutting only skilled labours are required. To minimize the labour cost and to get work done in minimum, time at cheap cost this machine is designed. It is simple in construction. It does not need skilled labour Keywords: Sugarcane Seed Cutting, Groundnut Stripper, Straw Cutting.

One of the most contentious issues surrounding globalization includes trade and labours rights. In the real world, trade and labour circumstances have an impact on one another. Trading nations should be subject to significant labour standards. It was believed that enforcing labour standards via trade agreements helps to improve the working conditions and income in poor countries, and minimize wage inequalities between rich and poor countries. The World Trade Organization’s (WTOs) establishment has resulted in the liberalization of trade and investment. Transnational corporations (TNCs) have become more economically powerful than many countries around the world in today’s era of globalization and free trade. These powerful TNCs are violating labour rights and are not accountable for that because of the lack of a legal framework. This calls for a look at issues that arise at the interface of international trade and labour standards, including a brief historical review of labour rights and the, as well as the impact of TNCs on labours and accountability. Background: Normal labor and childbirth is fraught with complexities. In the modern times the child birth has proven to be more challenging than ever. Partogram has proven to be a simple and useful tool in monitoring normal labor. The objective of this endeavor was to site our experiences in using partogram for ‘plotting’ labors, to assess its utility, limitations and cite controversies. Methods: Authors analyzed progress of labor plotted on partograms in parturient women to see whether their labor patterns conform to the standard partogram, and can logical conclusions be drawn from their use to decide partogram’s utility and applicability. Results: The use of partogram was not universal and its charting inadequate due to lack of motivation on part of labor room residents, busy labor rooms. When plotted meticulously they showed a wide variation, and many women did not conform to the rates of dilatation of the graph. The use of partogram did not alter the rate of cesarean section for non-progressive labors with use and non-use of partogram. Conclusions: Philpott’s partogram is a very visual and useful tool to monitor labours and detect labour abnormalities timely. Although it has served as a labour management tool across the labour rooms its use is not universal. There is a plethora of conflicting opinions regarding its utility in modern obstetrics today, ranging from a complete faith in the tool to finding it obsolete and in need of a revision to calling it a medicalization of a natural process.

The objectives of this research were to study the home working production process and to study labour rights understanding of the home workers in the rural area of Khon Kaen province, Thailand via the qualitative research methodology. Data collection was based on an in-depth interview and observation to 18 home workers, which conducted during March August 2010. The content analysis was employed to data analysis. The results indicated that the formation of the home workers was driven by the demand from the producers from neighboring villages. These producers were operating within the chain of production associated with other producers from the central part. Due to their formation as a group, their existing skills in garment and tailoring, and their increased labor management skill, they had the ability to get order directly from the outside producers. Despite their limited negotiation capacity regarding benefits, the informal labours considered the home workers as economically rewarding and beneficial to their family. As regards understanding on the labour rights, the home workers define the labour rights as the right to social insurance, the right to safe work place, the right to medical services, and the right to increased wages. The majority of them had a limited understand about the labour rights as it was related to the rights and duty of the employees and employers.

Streszczenie:
Introduction. Defects in labour law are certainly a negative phenomenon. They can be used by unscrupulous employees or employers, violating the rights and legitimate interests of the other party to the employment relationship. In addition, defects in legal norms create obstacles to proper law enforcement, which, in turn, threatens to misinterpret them and is also the cause of conflicting law enforcement practices. The aim of the article is to clarify the general characteristics of defects in labor law, their negative impact on law enforcement practice, as well as to outline some ways to prevent and overcome defects in labor law. Results. The article is devoted to the study of defects in labour law, their varieties and characteristics. The author's attention focuses on the issue of the negative impact of defects in labor law, in particular, law enforcement practice. The most common defects in labour law are analyzed. The necessity of legislative consolidation of the principle of good faith of the parties to labour relations in labour legislation is justified. The Supreme Court plays a significant role in identifying and overcoming defects in labour law at the stage of law enforcement in labor disputes. The existing court practice is a kind of litmus test of which norms of the current labour legislation are defective, ineffective, ambiguous, etc. In this regard, it seems appropriate when finalizing the draft of the new Labour Code of Ukraine to pay more attention to case law and analyze the legal position of the Supreme Court in disputes arising from labor relations, in order to identify the most common defects of labour law and prevent them at the rule stage. Conclusions. The defects in labour legislation can be prevented both at the stage of adoption of a normative legal act by formulating the idea of the draft law, its concept, and carrying out its proper examination. At the stage of legal implementation, defects can be eliminated by introducing amendments and additions to the normative act and/or by eliminating defective labour law norms. It is possible to overcome defects in the process of law enforcement with the help of methods of interpretation, application of analogy of law and analogy of lex.

Streszczenie:
In the original sense, labour, as a kind of production and living activity, is only a way of existence accompanying human progress. It is not produced for sale but appears for completely different reasons. At the same time, the activity of labour cannot be separated from other parts of life; it can neither be stored nor circulated. However, in a capitalist society, labour is commodified, monetized, and privatized. The fictional concept of "labour is a commodity" is widely spread and deeply rooted in people's hearts without restriction. Transforming "labour" into "labour force" is a long and painful historical process involving complex means such as natural violence, political power, and economic temptation. The author attempts to begin with the distribution of labour products, study the problem of labour commercialization in the socialist market economy, and investigate where there is agreement on globalization concerns. To summarize, under the socialist system, when laborers have a specific property, the labor force can still become a commodity, but this just implies that the labor force can become a commodity, not that it must become a commodity.

The National Council of Labour attempted to coordinate the policies and actions of the Trades Union Congress and Labour party. It had a checkered history and eventually failed. Its existence, however, demonstrated that the leadership of the Trades Union Congress and Labour party were grappling with questions which have constantly confronted modern British labor, especially the ever-present controversy over the TUC and party relationship, as well as whether a unified labor movement is possible or even desirable, or whether the TUC and labour party appropriately represent components within such a movement. If the last is true, do both institutions share fundamental concepts, and can they develop common tactics or approaches in furthering them? Are those “two wings” mutually dependent? Can the party aid the TUC in achieving its political goals? If the concerns of the TUC and party differ, can they or should they be reconciled? Should the TUC-party relationship remain the same whether the party is in government or in opposition? The National Council of Labour consisted of representatives from the TUC's General Council, the Labour party's National Executive Committee (NEC), and the parliamentary Labour party's Executive Committee (PLP executive). Originally created in 1921 as the National Joint Council, it was reconstituted in 1930 and again in 1931-32, renamed the National Council of Labour in 1934, and began declining in 1940 to impotence by 1946. It was an extra-parliamentary, extra-party body designed to enhance cooperation and coherence within the labor movement.

Abstract: In this study, the regulation of labours working in the construction sector of Pakistan was studied. As there is no system to distinguish skill and unskill labour force in the construction industry of Pakistan, which leads to unforeseen events during the project works. This may lead to delay of the project and also compromises the safety of the workers. To overcome the problem, the impact of a protocol, labour certification, which is being practiced in other countries is studied. To determine the effect of labour certification on labour productivity, a questionnaire was prepared and sent to different stakeholders of AEC. The results showed that the majority of respondents were in favour of labour certification and agreed that it will have a significant impact on labour productivity. Moreover, respondents also pointed that it will create problems for labour and the construction industry if the process of certification is not smooth. The processes of digitalization of labour, which are currently taking place under the influence of the development and spread of digital technologies, are causing rapid changes in the social and labor sphere, primarily related to the development of digital skills of personnel and an even greater strengthening of the role of human capital and human creativity. The purpose of the article is to study theoretical approaches to the substantive interpretation of the economic category "digitalization of labour", and also to characterize the processes and changes taking place in the labor sphere in the context of the spread of digital technologies. For this purpose, using general scientific and special methods, a study of the substance of the categories of "digitalization" and "digitalization of labour" was carried out (historical and logical method), to identify the factors that contribute to the spread of digital technologies and cause modern changes in the field of labor, as well as to identify and characterize changes in the social and labor sphere that occur in the context of digitalization (classification and analytical method), to illustrate the studied socio-economic phenomena and processes, graphic analytics were used. It is determined that the spread of digital technologies in the field of labor is facilitated primarily by such factors as: globalization processes; technological development, increase in the level of robotization and automation of production processes; higher level of mobility of modern personnel, change in their expectations regarding the content of labour and its organization; development of creative industries. Characterizing the processes in the social and labor sphere that are taking place in the context of digitalization, it is possible to identify, first of all, changes in the traditional division of labour, methods and forms of employment, increased mobility of people of working age, strengthening the role of human capital, and its understanding as a determining factor of production.

For sustainable development of the Russian construction complex it is necessary to increase labour productivity. All research related to labour productivity is a topical task for companies and the state as a whole. In order to analyse the indicators of labour productivity efficiency in capital repairs, the data on the normative labour intensity of Germany and Austria, which occupy leading positions in terms of labour productivity per working hour of time, were analysed. This study considers the labour costs of construction workers involved in various technological processes in major repairs in Russia and EU countries. Also, in this work a comparative analysis of actual and normative indicators of labour productivity in Russia and EU countries is carried out. As a result of this work the result was obtained, showing the absence of stable correlation between labour inputs for a set of work processes. In connection with the obtained results, it was suggested that it is possible to identify stable relationships as a result of grouping technological processes by various parameters, which in turn will allow to identify the presence and levels of influence of assumed factors on productivity change for different countries. Labor productivity and labor costs are influenced by technological processes. major repairs.

The problem statement in this research is how the similarities and differences between the rights conflicts in Indonesia and South Korea And how its advantages and disadvantages. The Labour Inspection Service is responsible for enforcing labor regulations that guarantee the fulfilment of labour rights and taking stern action against companies/employers who violate these regulations. As a result, labor rights violations continue to occur despite the Labour Inspection Service's efforts. Indonesia has permanent legal force where disputes can be resolved through litigation or non-litigation, and has deficiencies in terms of the type of settlement, whereas South Korea has more detailed legal force, but its weakness is that few cases of labour disputes are brought to court without going through the Labour Relations Commission (LRC).

In this article, in the form of publication, are presented key study findings that cover both methodological issues of measurement and comprehensive analysis of regional labor productivity, along with extended formulations of study results. Based on the experience of domestic and foreign statisticians, the author substantiates the system of regional labour productivity indicators required for its integrated assessment. In the author’s opinion, this system is needed in a formation of a single coordinated approach to the calculation of labour productivity from the perspective of branches, enterprises, and constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The introduction argues for the relevance of the issues related to measuring regional labour productivity, which is necessary to evaluate the progress of the Federal Project “Systemic Measures to Improve Labor Productivity” implemented under the national project “Labor Productivity and Employment Support”.The author justifies the solution to the problem of clustering regions by regional labour productivity indicator using a combined approach, which explains the trends in the economic development of the regions of Russia in the selected clusters. The final part of the article concludes that the study is relevant in assessing the factors of regional labour productivity needed to identify growth reserves or to prevent stagnation in economic development, measured, in particular, by means of a basic indicator of the economic production efficiency in constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Farm labour plays significant roles in crops production. This paper aims to describe gender segregation in crops farming, its roles and dynamic during Covid pandemic in West Nusa Tenggara. A survey was conducted in three districts, East Lombok, Sumbawa and Bima, involving 102 farmers. Qualitative and quantitative data were collected using interview method which then analysed descriptively. The results showed that most respondents employed woman labours for planting and mixed labour for harvesting amid the land ownership discrepancy and agroecology conditions. Women were considered to be more skilful and diligent than men. Nevertheless, they received lower pay by 50-100% on daily basis. Covid pandemic situation has posed varying effects on labour prices, work availability and movement. Labour prices generally has increased due to increasing prices of basic needs, yet work availability decreased as land owners tried to reduce cost because of rocketing fertiliser prices. Pandemic situation did not affect labour movement was in East Lombok and Bima since majority farmers used local labour. While in Sumbawa, as many farmers relied on migrant labour from Lombok and Bima for harvesting, the 2020 has affected harvest quality and subsequently selling prices due to late harvest since labours were not allowed to travel.

Background: The rate of labor induction is steadily increasing. Approximately one out of four pregnant women has their labor induced. Over the years, various professional societies have recommended the use of induction of labor in circumstances in which the risk of waiting for the onset of spontaneous labor are judged by clinicians to be greater than the risks associated with shortening duration of pregnancy by induction. This study was carried out to categories indications and to know trends of indication over 5 years. Methods: This retrospective analytical study was conducted over a period of five years from 01 June 2016 to 31 May 2021 at the department of obstetrics and gynecology, tertiary care hospital, Pune, Maharashtra, India. The rate, indications and trend in indications of labor induction was calculated over the study period. The data so collected was presented with graphical representation. Results: There was a total of 10407 deliveries during the study period out of which, 865 were induced. So, the rate of labor induction in the study was found to be 8.31%. Post-datism accounts for 54.4% followed by pregnancy induced hypertension remains the major obstetric cause accounting for 16.6% of labour induction. Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) accounted for 3.6% causes of labour induction. Conclusions: Vaginal birth has lesser morbidity and mortality involving both the mother and the child compared to caesarean and will always be regarded as the superior mode of delivery. Apart from post-datism, the commoner obstetric indications for induction of labour are PIH and IUGR. Increasing trend in the incidence of pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) and IUGR is observed and therefore probably correlating to foetal distress after induction of labour causing increased trend of need for caesarean section over the five years.

The recent trends in female labour force participation have garnered considerable attention among policymakers and research scholars in India, primarily because of the sudden and significant falls in female labour force participation rates in the presence of many enabling factors, particularly the growth of the GDP. Studies on the falling rates have examined many underlying ‘pull and push’ factors but few of them have analysed the role of productivity. This study attempts to have a preliminary understanding of the role of labour productivity on the female labour force participation in India using cross-section and panel data. The study found a link between labour productivity and wages which could impact female labour force participation. The paper found that the FLFPR function for the rural and urban sectors is markedly different from each other and hence, should be studied separately.

Since in the current conditions the dominant trends in agriculture are automation and robotization, in the near future, human-controlled equipment will be almost completely automated and most of the competencies required in production will lose their relevance, since the use of digital technologies can replace not only routine manual labor, but also a significant number of mental labour of workers. During this period, the formation of unique competencies inherent only to a person acquires special relevance. Therefore, in our opinion, the need for the formation of knowledge and skills of a higher level comes to the fore. The use of digitalized systems and algorithms in agricultural production leads to a significant increase in labor productivity and, as a result, to a significant release of labor resources. At the same time, the demand for workers with a certain set of knowledge and skills is increasing. The article discusses the main changes taking place in the agricultural labour market in the context of digitalization. Key points: – the use of digital algorithms significantly affects the growth of labour productivity; – the growing demand for workers with digital competencies leads to a lagging supply in the agricultural labour market; – the influence of non-price factors of supply and demand leads to an imbalance in the agricultural labour market The object of the study is the agricultural labour market in the conditions of digitalization. The subject of the study is the supply and demand imbalance in the labour market. The purpose of the study is to identify and systematize the factors that have a non-price impact on the state of the agricultural labour market.
