This thesis examines the author's conceptualization and establishment of an artist company with the objective of tracing urban transformations and of assessing decisions to conserve or destroy parts of the city. Urban Memory, a company that has as its goal the "recharging of mnemonic content," was founded in Saxony's capital city Dresden in 2012. Located in the east of Germany, this city, bombarded in 1945, has constantly been under construction in the past decades. Urban Memory takes account of the architectural landscape's transformations and accompanies debates about the identity and memory of the city. It does so by means of é hybrid form of artistic practices-painting and serigraphy-and communication media placed in the urban context. The first section of this thesis explores the artist's discovery and initial reflections on Dresden in the context of her first works; it explores the historical, political and economic context of the city's transformations; and it analyzes artist companies based on which Urban Memory has been conceived as well as its basic functional framework and strategic outlook. The second part zooms in on the historical center of Dresden, its monuments and memorial sites, so as to expose both the eloquence and silence with which the built environment of the city treats its past. Moreover, this part turns to the milieu of contemporary artists and their means of creating a 'living' memory. Finally, after having discussed and related the artistic dimension of her project, the author presents the company's first projects and in situ installations

Founded in 1923 by Walter Elias Disney, The Walt Disney Company from a small cartoon studio has become a multinational media and entertainment enterprise, well-known worldwide. All its four business segments, Media Networks; Parks, Experiences and Products; Studio Entertainment; and Direct-to-Consumer and International are coordinated through the power of storytelling. In fact, the storytelling and the innovative technology are the two key points for the success in Company’s expansion into foreign markets, initially with its cartoons and later with the theme parks. Disney’s worldwide expansion has not always been easy and its spread in China is not an exception. Due to its entry regulations and the low intellectual property right protection, China is a challenging market, especially for a media company, however it is attractive for the large number of potential consumers. Even though the Walt Disney Company has encountered many issues, it has not given up and has been able to achieve the establishment in the Chinese market. Mickey Mouse made the first step in 1932, followed by Snow White in 1938. With the foundation of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, Disney was banned and it could enter again China only in 1984 after China’s opening and reforms. The Company’s presence in China was enhanced by the founding of Disney English centers aimed at teaching English to Chinese children, the setting up of offices in the main Chinese cities and the opening in Shanghai of the world’s biggest Disney Store. Moreover, it engaged in partnerships and collaborations with Chinese enterprises and with the Chinese government to develop new products. The construction of the two theme parks, Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland, represents the peak of the Company’s growth in the Chinese market.

After entering WTO, Taiwan faces the challenges of globalization. At the same time, migration of manufacturing industries to mainland China seems to be an endless trend. To avoid failure, firms have to make constant changes, expand their sizes, and seek strategies for sustaining profit growth under the severe competitive environment of today’s global markets. To maintain competitive advantages, small and medium enterprise have to leverage their resources and competences for sustainable profitability and growth by careful strategies formulation. The diversification processes to expand a firm’s size and business fields are related to its competence and its efficiency of leveraging resources. This research is about the relationship between resources based view and diversifying strategies. Based on the diversification process of company L, we explore the strategies for the case company by considering changes in industry environment and the company’s conditions ,with the evaluation of the company’s competence and resources. The findings are: 1. The fields of new businesses for diversification of a company are restrained by their existing resources. 2.The diversification will be more likely to success, if the products to be carried in the new business are highly connected to the company’s current customers. 3.The new business will eventually need new resources ,which will be accumulated and become one of the firm’s important resources.

Abstract The global information industry was depressing in 2000, in addition, the influence from suppliers’ price war, the global connector gross market declined nearly 30% during 2001~2002. As a result, connector manufacturers moved production bases to China with the benefit of lower production cost in general. Therefore, the makers can ensure to have better cost advantage. At the same time, the product development scheme must be extended to the continent, which makes the process hard to control in time. This might be the result from different working styles and personnel background between two parties in Taiwan and China. Such a barrier results in the developing schedule delay, as well as the failure of time-to-market. In this work, we have investigated into a case Company, which faces the engineering difficulties at the beginning when they move the production lines to China. Later on, they spent three-year to their basic engineers and technicians in the area of standardized procedure, as well as concurrent engineering work. By utilizing the prompt self-criticism of product development across the information platform of the factory, the better product developing performance can be achieved. Other benefits, such as stock information sharing, developing control point sharing, etc, can also be granted via this information platform. The key advantages from the platform sharing, are (1) reducing number of time during trail shot; (2) shortening on the developing cycle time; and (3) minimizing number of trial mold and material cost during developing stage. In this report, we also reveal that clear task assignment and information sharing are critical to the success of shortening the developing time. This will also greatly improve the working efficiency between two locations and yields on the better production performance. With such information management and developing control, the suppliers can be more powerful, in terms of fast developing and production setup, in their supplier chain of the connector industry. Regarding any enterprise or business, including Taiwanese business in Mainland, which they should consider what environments they will meet are more complicated than before. Because the environments the Taiwanese business meet are different than before, they confront problems of transformation strategies are different than before. The thesis are inspired by the following at least three structural factors, the change of cross-Strait political & economy relations, the change of external environment enterprise management in China, as well as the change of internal structure for Taiwanese business, which will be also three motives of this thesis. Moreover, in order to achieve the purposes of this study, we try to address the following three questions: 1. hat differences did Taiwanese business manage to? 2.how did Taiwanese business manage to and why did change? and 3.what differences are transformation strategies of Taiwanese business? The method of thesis is a case study approaches which Taiwanese enterprise L, a design company, will be chose. The analysis literature of this case study will come from secondary information of interview words. The analysis framework of this thesis is the SWOT framework. The choice of transformation strategies are comprehensive offensive strategy, external strain & internal loose strategy, comprehensive defensive strategy, and internal strain & external loose strategy. The variables of transformation strategies are player, structure, payoffs, and strategies. The findings are 1.understanding the developing trend of Taiwanese enterprise in Mainland, 2.understanding the importance of transformation strategies for Taiwanese business in management, and 3.constructing the theory of transformation strategies and examining the case study. Furthermore, with regard to the analysis of transformation strategies for Taiwanese company L, we infer the choice of transformation strategies will be changed when the variables of player, structure, payoffs, and strategies will change. In other words, before 2008, Taiwanese company L will choose comprehensive offensive strategy for its transformation strategies. 2009 to 2013, Taiwanese company L will choose comprehensive defensive strategy and after 2013, the internal strain & external loose strategy will be chose by Taiwanese company L.

In the situation of the intense marketing competition, Companies usually want to satisfy customer’s requirements and also increase the profit at the same time. However, the problems of slow-moving inventory became an underlying concern to managers and the dilemma for setting the quantity of safety stock. it is important to choose the most suitable method of the inventory management for companies. Fuzzy C-means (FCM) is a method of clustering which allows one point to belong to one or more clusters. The method was developed by Dunn in 1973 and improved by Bezdek in 1981 and it is frequently used in pattern recognition. The FCM algorithm attempts to partition a finite collection of points into a collection of C fuzzy clusters with respect to some given criteria. Thus, points on the edge of a cluster, may be in the cluster to a lesser degree than points in the center of cluster. The algorithm was implemented by the R package "e1071" released in 2010/04/21. This paper integrates Clustering methods and ABC analysis to determine the stock amount. The actual sales data of an L company is analyzed by comparing with traditional ABC analysis to discover the most appropriate way for stock management. The research result can be a reference for decision makers to improve inventory management. Furthermore, the research findings can be helpful to increase customer satisfaction and decrease stock cost.

Under the dramatically changing economic environments, enterprises have faced uncertain challenges of markets, organizations, technologies and legislations, and hence risk management has become extremely important. To deal with the environmental changes, internal auditor operation nowadays not merely focuses on the post audit of collection and examination of financial evidences; moreover, it should turn into the active role as a professional consultant to assistant enterprises’ risk management, so that the enterprises can detect risks beforehand, and hence demonstrate the significant values of audit personnel in the company. At present, it is rare to discuss enterprise risk management and its influence to internal auditing in domestic industry. It is hopeful that this research will serve as a reference to the above domain. This study is to examine a case company (L Company) regarding the role that its internal auditor plays in terms of risk management. This research investigates risk-based audit strategies, looking into internal auditor processes of how to frame strategies based on risks in order to detect potential risks that may affect the performance of enterprises beforehand, so that the enterprises can respond promptly with corresponding plans to control the risks within a certain range. The results show that risk-based audit strategies not only benefit the company, but also help increase internal auditor personnel’s values. When the enterprise develops the risk oriented internal auditing, the internal auditor personnel should participate more deeply in the operation processes. Due to the fact that this research focuses on only one case company for study , the scale is therefore limited. For direction of future research, a cross-company case study analysis and comparisons surely can result in more fruitful insights to strategic decision making in relevant industry.

“Research and Development” possess three major characteristics: (1) Lots of uncertainty will be encountered during the process of R&D; (2) Required for a certain of expenses and manpower; (3) Long pay back time; Therefore, the decision-making of R&D could be very complicated with far-reaching influence. Nevertheless, once the decision maker made an incorrect decision, it may cause lots of consequences that can''t be remedied. For this reason, the key subject of this paper is to construct a decision-making model to help the decision maker to make RD decisions. While making the decisions of RD projects, its decision making environment is often: (1) subjective (2) quantized (3) group participated , or (4) uncertain, Therefore, this paper use T.L.SAATY’s AHP-ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS to build a decision-making model for the equipment R&D project. The DM model use L- Company’s “R&D Planning Project” as an example. Analysis of characteristic and construction of Hierarchies Structure will be carried out to determine evaluating items of each hierachy and the relation of each hierachy. Moreover, the analysis will be correctly in accordance with AHP’s evaluation scaling to make the Pair wise Comparison and get the maximum eigenvalue and eigenvector, to achieve the priority for decision making of L- Company’s “Equipment R&D Project”, In the end, an AHP evaluation model was build to reinforce the quality and efficiency of decision making for Equipment RD and it’s another field of AHP application.

In this thesis I am mainly concentrate on the training system and the implementation results of the chosen individual “L” company. I have personally interviewed with employees in the company and collect all sorts of data in the training system. However, I have proposed resolutions based on the current status. As a result, the enterpriser is lack of commitment and cognition of the training system. The enterpriser has taking the cost of training as a cost disbursement instead of investment, thus it leads the training system into incomplete and inefficiency ways, moreover, this caused the low attendant rate of employees. Therefore, I would suggest that “L” company should propose a well prepared and efficiency training system to persuade the enterprisers. Meanwhile, set up a systemized way to grade individual employees and decide who should be in the key cultivation scheme. The promotion schemes should be based on the relevant data have been collected which may also increase the attendant rate to the training courses. By doing so, it will help the enterprise to a better achievement and a win-win situation among employees and the enterpriser. Key words: Training system, Implementation result

Integrated risk management has become a core issue in business operation. In order to propose risk response and control activities for risk event, a company need to establish a risk management mechanism to systematically identify and evaluate daily operational risk. To adopt individual reserch as multi-national corporation, L company, is an object of study. Its risk management performance from four aspects: supply chain risk, management risk, financial risk and environmental risk. Specifically to anaylysis of cross-border investment or changing business strategy will produce effective the risk of business rick managment or not. The results of this study show that the analysis of how multinationals' subsidiaries have implemented elements such as identification, risk assessment, risk response and control activities of "enterprise risk management - integration structure" have found that for multinational enterprises, integrated enterprise risk management The structure is effective for the identification of risk factors for subsidiaries, but there are different levels of impact in the way of risk response. By the experience of the case company, to control the operating costs to achieve the desired profit target, better than through the marketing activities or increase the number of shops to enhance revenue growth. In addition, the factors that influence the performance of enterprise risk management are information and communication. Accordingly, this research suggests that enterprises must construct an integrated risk management mechanism according to their own characteristics, from the understanding, risk measurement, and to choose the most cost-effective risk management measures in order to achieve the goal of sustainable business.

SMEs have been Taiwan's important foundation of economic development. Mainland China takes advantage of cheap labor, tax incentives and other advantages to grab lots of business from Taiwan, that makes fierce price competition in recent years. Take look of Germany, the major industrial country, from the sick man of Europe after the reunification of Germany, to return to great position of the world. Many small and medium enterprises stand at the leading position in their respective fields, some companies get more than 90% global market share. Those figures motive me to study this thesis. Due to the former German ex-prime minister Schroeder and successor Mekel, take series of measures, including the “2010 Programme of Action”,” The Hartz Concept”, and “Flextime”. Those measures made Germany rapid rise from World War I, World War II, and the German reunification. Germany has become the fourth largest economy in the world. Germany got rid of the burden of welfare state policies, and put important national resource to promote employment and increase labor policy. Germany has no fear of the financial crisis and the debt crisis in Europe. It became the Europe's leading country. So-called "Hidden Champions" company means that the market share in the first or second position, annual turnover generally not more than $10 billion, and reputation often low or non-publicly traded companies. Such companies have driven development of Germany's export and economy, and become the major part of economic growth in Germany. The study found that they have seven business strategies, including business goals, marketing strategies, customer relationships, competitive advantage, core technology, corporate culture, and the leaders. In order to let enterprises make sustainable development and get rid of price competition. Taiwan's SMEs need core competitiveness, and use strategy of "Hidden Champions". We get six conclusions, include corporate governance instead of family governance, retention of employee plan, product improvement instead of cost reduction, non-public trade, maintain the optimal scale for SMEs. Those conclusions can become the strategies of this company and also provide to similar Taiwan SMEs.

The rise of the environmental protection technology service industry stems from the needs of Taiwanese society in its transition from the agricultural to the industrial era. Back in the 1940s when agriculture was still the major industry in Taiwan, the government administration began to foster industrial development in order maintain economic stability, hence the 60 industrial parks established across northern, central and southern Taiwan ever since Lioudu Industrial Park was established in 1960. These parks provided manufacturing bases for booming industries, but soon brought on a new set of problems. Rapid changes in society and environment and the rise of environmental consciousness accounted for frequent environmental group protests outside factory plants, awareness of laborers’ protection policies, with additional difficulties in the rise of labor cost, cost of raw materials and lack of incentives in rental and tax policies, all consummating in the result of masses of outward-moving industries. This caused the increasing shortage of industrial park development and management funds, high costs in relocating equipment, as well as low management performance and other difficulties in management. It was then that policies shifted to engage the practice of “private management of public enterprises,” an organization change that called for private financing. This paper presents a case study of L Company, a small-medium business in the environmental protection technology service industry, an example of how to apply SWOT strategic analysis as a study tool for understanding the Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat of the internal and external environment of the business, the attack, retreat, stabilizing and defense strategies it employs, in order to determine its Key Success Factor (KSF). Porter’s overall cost leadership strategy, differentiation strategy and concentrated focus earning-based business strategy were applied. Based on these three competitive advantage strategies, this study attempts to understand how the company in this case study, under its current modes of development and operation, and in consideration of government policy requirements, vendor management needs, and residents’ expectations of environmental protection, may devise its development and operation strategy for the future, so that it may successfully accommodate future trends in development, thereby establishing a multi-win beneficial mode of operation.

Currently, L company adopts traditional X ̅-R control chart to manage the important feature in production line for the PCB product. As the traditional control diagram is ideal for the large number and continuous production, to meet the market trend and demand. The company has small quantity and various types, new products or special skill products with severe requirements be produced in Taiwan. The used X ̅-R control chart in production line cannot reveal the quality variance happened in processing in time. Furthermore, the fraction nonconforming control chart (p chart) used by L company is the statistical data of monthly defective rate of each production station, not separating the daily (or per lot) number produced for statistics or analysis. It cannot clearly show the defective info. of each station or each lot. This research focuses on the process quality management improvement of L company, adopting the ideal short-run small quantity control chart to detect the quality variance in early phase and analyze the root cause of the variance, then to propose the countermeasure to prevent the variance from leading to numerous defects. This research adopted 2 processes, V-Cut and NC-R, in production line for analysis, using the data transformation method and standardized control charts (SCCs) provided by Salti and Statham in 1994, and compared several types of small quantity control charts to find out the control chart that meets the demand of L company’s small quantity production. Besides, by reviewing the statistical method of the defective rate, to change the monthly statistics to daily output, and make use of computer to collate the statistic data, afterward it can reveal if there is any variance issues of each station. Based on the real case and study result of this research, it shows the transformed control chart is applicable for the small quantity, various controlled spec. After transformed the data, the abnormal lots will be revealed. It’s impossible to find out the variance in traditional control chart with this method. It achieves the expected goals obviously – to build the model of proper control chart, to detect the quality variance and prevent the numerous defects produced and benefits the proper quality management system builds, to adopt the important quality features judging flowchart to find out the proper control chart. With the proper statistics method of control chart for fraction nonconforming, it can reveal the defective data of each unit. Based on those statistical data, to apply The Magnificent Seven tools to do the defective root cause analysis for probing into and improving the issues, and then raise the yield rate of products.

Control valve is an indispensable product for the industrial and engineering industry today. Most domestic manufacturers of control valves in Taiwan rely on OEM orders from large international vendors and some manufacturers with sizeable scale operate with its own brand. Others act as agents or dealers for internationally renowned brands and offers only sales or after-sales services for valve type products without engaging in any manufacturing activities. Generally, it is difficult for domestic small and medium enterprises to stay competitive with large international corporations due to the scale of its operation and lack of funding and talents. With the economic rise of China in recent years, the demand for valve-type products has increased significantly and many large international manufacturers have proceeded to invest in China with its technological advantages in order to reduce its cost, which has indirectly reduced the profit margin and market for many valve related manufacturers in Taiwan. Low gross profit is one reason that has induced many Taiwanese OEM manufacturers and agents to develop their own brand. In general, agents usually face many challenges after they have launched their own brand, such as competitions from other vendors and the subtle competitive/cooperative co-existing relationship with the original brand of distribution. Whether or not the original brand of distribution will engage in vengeful activities due to conflict of interest despite years of cooperation and the product strategy for the new brand, are all subjects that this research would like to explore. Therefore, this research will organize and analyze the data collected through review of domestic and foreign documents and interviews of individual cases. The correlation between the phenomena of individual cases and theories will subsequently be discussed to formulate concrete conclusions and suggestions. It is hoped that through the results collated in this research practical contributions and references can be provided for businesses.

The insurance industry in Taiwan has been more open and geared to the international standards during the recent years. At the same time, the Taiwanese and international financial industry has gone through drastic changes. Interest rate dropped and cost of material and human resource went up, leading to increased operation cost for insurance companies. In addition, the popularity of internet and elevated consumer awareness have challenged insurance companies’ traditional marketing model – direct sales force. Therefore, in order to cut down operation cost and expand the market, insurance companies started to develop diversified marketing channels, such as tele-marketing, bank insurance marketing, internet, TV direct sales, etc. New sales channels such as insurance agency and insurance broker also emerged at the same time. Every insurance company has different resources and competitive advantages, and hence created different marketing and operation models. Insurance companies hope to sell insurance through insurance brokers in order to lower operation cost. However, to avoid increasing bargaining power of insurance brokers, insurance companies are reluctant to overly rely on one or two insurance brokers. Insurance brokers, on the other hand, oftentimes recruit sales force from insurance companies to lower training cost. Such competition-cooperation relationship with insurance companies has shaped insurance brokers’ operation model. This research is to analyze the industrial value chain within the insurance industry and to explore the potential operation models for insurance brokers via the five-force analysis of company L.

Biotech and pharmaceutical companies are struggling for drug time line and cost cutting. For opening the door of innovation, companies need to come in relationship with other organizations to share with innovative idea and expertise. In this research work, I explore the concept of open innovation in pharmaceutical industry. Drug development goes through complex processes like drug discovery, clinical trials phases and post-marketing surveillance. For being these processes, they need to do huge investment in R & D projects. Thus, for reducing R & D cost along with product lifecycle, pharmaceutical and biotech companies need to develop an external network with different partners like contract research organizations (CROs) and universities by using both spin-in (outside in) and spin-off (inside out) open innovation. Here, I use an example of company L (pharma) and QPS (CRO) to demonstrate the processes and benefits of open innovation. Furthermore, pharma companies enter into a symbiotic relationship with biotech firms to exchange technologies and knowledge by exploring their innovation processes. This thesis also sheds light on how open innovation benefits to the pharma L and QPS.

This study analyzed three server virtualization architecture plans, including computing server virtualization architecture, computing server and storage server virtualization architecture, and renting a cloud computing virtualization architecture, for L Company. Reliability Method was adopted to evaluate the feasibility of three server virtualization architectures and analyze the cost of various backup mechanisms associated with the risk due to unavailability. The goal was to calculate installation cost and disruption cost in different virtualization architectures. Moreover, this study compared strengths and weaknesses of these architectures to give advice to other firms that plan to introduce virtualization and then reduce unnecessary investment. This research summarized installation costs and disruption costs for different numbers of virtual machines required in each mode. Renting a cloud computing virtualization architecture can reduce maintenance expenses and is suitable for firms that demand single virtual machine and have a flexible work schedule. Computing server virtualization architecture is suitable for firms that require less than twenty virtual machines. Computing server and storage server virtualization architecture gives higher availability and is suitable for firms that require more than twenty virtual machines. For L company, computing server virtualization architecture with a backup device is an appropriate plan. If this company needs more virtual machines in the future, it can switch to computing server and storage server virtualization architecture.

Abstract Automobile is an indispensable product in human daily life, and the convenience of automobile is far more than the value of car itself, automobile maintenance is part of service industry, and service industry plays a more and more important role in the industries of Taiwan. The main purpose of this study is to find out the key factors that affect the effect of automobile incoming maintenance, to explore the mutual influence of related factors, to find out an effective method to solve the resource priority allocation, and to improve the customer''s reservation system, so as to give full play to the maximum capacity of service positions, This study can be provided to the case company as an important reference for improving the system and process of booking system. The research is mainly aimed at the key factors that affect the efficiency of automobile entering and maintenance. By collecting and compiling the literature, to construct the prototype architecture; using the Delphi method to form the formal research framework, the paper uses Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory-based Analytic Network Process (DANP) to calculate the weights of each criterion, and then use the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) to evaluate the maintenance performance of L Company. The results show that the importance of the key structure is ranked as "Internal Improvement Demand", "Appointment Management", "Process Management", "System Evaluation Pointer" and "Website Management Platform", and internal improvement needs and process management are the mutual influence. Improving the maintenance of the automobile into the plant can be improved by internal improvement of requirements and process management two aspects, so the priority to improve the two key construction surface and then improve the other surface can be more easily successful. Key criteria importance ranking the first 8 items are "Reduce Wait Time", "Maintenance Service Plant Efficiency", "" Maintenance Booking Schedule "," Customer Satisfaction Assessment "," Online Booking Function "," Service Plant Available Time "," Congestion Degree Assessment "," Service Capacity. " According to the causal diagram of the key criteria, the guideline is to reduce the waiting time as the most important criterion and to the efficiency of the service plant, and the maintenance efficiency of the service plant will reduce the waiting time of the whole factory customers. Finally, according to the results of IPA, we know that the project that needs improvement in the case of L company includes "Service Capacity", "Responsible for Appointment Commissioner", "Customer Satisfaction Assessment", "Maintenance Reservation Schedule" and "Congestion Degree Assessment". The "Service Capacity" is the most urgent need for improvement, if the failure to master the customer booking into the factory, will likely cause a shortage of service capacity, and lead to a reduction in customer''s willingness to enter the factory, it is recommended that L company reassess the service capacity of regional strongholds, as a new location to increase the possibility of service. Key words: Auto Service, Reservation System, Delphi Method, Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory-based Analytic Network Process (DANP), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA).

For most of the enterprise owners, enterprise transformation is a “must” for enterprise sustainability. However, during the transformation, the enterprise is like a cruise ship sailing the sea. The top manager is the captain, who decides the best sailing route, which is the corporate strategy, so that the cruise ship can land safe and on time. In addition, to find suitable sailors, and manage them and assign tasks effectively(Strategic Human Resources Management), those are other important issues. This thesis is investigating issues and difficulties that L company faced during HR system transformation. ABSTRACT Rice is the most widely consumed staple food of over half the world's human population, especially in Asia. The seeds of the rice are first milled using a rice huller to remove the outer husks of the grain at the rice mill plant. At this point in the process, the product is called brown rice. The milling may be continued, removing the bran, namely, the rest of the husk and the germ, thereby creating white rice. Above processes controlled by professional rice mill industry can make white rice keep longer and have graceful taste. However, rice could be unsafe food once it was contaminated by a variety of factors including the overuse of insecticides, high rates of nitrogen fertilizer application, and environmental pollution. Even improper production of husking will cause rice or rice product become unhealthful to consumer. HACCP (Hazard analysis and critical control point) is a systematic approach to prevent the food product from biological, chemical, and physical hazards in production processes. The measurements designed by HACCP reduce these food-related risks to a safe level. In this manner, HACCP attempts to avoid hazards rather than attempting to inspect finished products for the effects of those hazards. The HACCP system can be used at all stages of a food chain and in all realms of the food industry, including meat, poultry, seafood, dairy, and the processes from the farm to the table. The 12 steps (7 principles included) of HACCP are contained entirely in ISO22000:2005 which is a standard system to help augment HACCP on issues related to food safety. This international standard is a complete food safety and quality management system incorporating the elements of prerequisite program (GHP & SSOP), HACCP and the quality management system, which together form an organization's total quality management system. This research is based on a case study to analyze how HACCP plan, GHP and ISO22000 are executed practically by a small or medium scale food industry like rice mill or husking company. By the in-depth interview and data survey, the implement processes of HACCP and ISO22000 and difficulties encountered in verification evaluation were discussed. The results of this study indicated: 1. By implementing the supplier certification and management to make sure whether the raw material supplier apply HACCP plan or not, is the first step towards the source management. 2. Reference to the principle of document control and PRPs design from ISO22000, the implementation of HACCP plan will have a multiplier effect. 3. The success factor of the implementation of the HACCP plan is to ensure the goals of the members of the business are the same and get everyone's support.
