Pełny tekst źródłaAs part of the sustainable energy renovation of old buildings and in order to improve the energy efficiency of walls subjected to capillary rise, a new breakthrough technology consists of incorporating a ventilation system of a buffer space located between the thermal insulation and the wet load-bearing framework. This technology is one of the effective and inexpensive solutions to fight against capillary rise, while ensuring the durability of the insulation and the structural durability of the framework.Physically, the aeraulic device based on the generation of a laminar flow of forced convection of fresh air in a vertical channel in contact with the internal surface of the wet wall. This technology then creates an evaporation front at the internal surface of the wall, where as a result, simultaneous hygrothermal exchange occurs between the wall and the ventilated air space and between the wall and the external environment.Numerical modeling of these coupled physical phenomena is complex. We then followed an explicit scientific approach, which firstly consists in a simplification of the model thanks to the simple Darcy approach in the porous medium and to the forced convection equations. Our objective is to highlight the hygrothermal transfers between the humid wall and the ventilated air channel, assuming that the external face of the wall is in adiabatic conditions and that water saturated the porous medium. Secondly, the model extends to a generalized model based on the Luikov approach, which assimilates the wall with a partially saturated porous medium under diabetic conditions. A hybrid method, combining the Lattice - Boltzmann method, the finite volume method, and the iterative succesive over-relaxation method, solves these hygrothermal transfer equations.A "materials" data set identified by means of an experimental campaign of physical, hygrothermal and mechanical characteristics in order to constitute input parameters for the numerical models. Traditional construction techniques in the North of France targeted, through damp walls made of old terracotta bricks. In the light of these results, we can validate the model analytically, thanks to a similar and simplified approach, and experimentally, via an experimental device designed in the laboratory.Finally, a study of the sensitivity of the model to the input parameters of the model proposed, followed by the analysis of the influence of the fresh air blowing conditions (dynamic hygrothermal energy) and of the external environmental conditions on the performance of the ventilated duct leaned against a partially saturated wall in diabatic conditions. The results are presented in terms of temperature and water content distributions for the wall, isothermal fields and iso-concentration of water vapor and local dimensional numbers to identify the nature of the exchanges at the interface between the wet wall and the ventilated buffer space.Many research perspectives can emerge from our study, in particular through the transfer of this technology to the energy renovation market for wet properties. In addition to optimizing the operation of the aeraulic system and its automation in the face of environmental conditions, feedback on a real occupied site is currently being prepared

Pełny tekst źródłaThis research aims to study the electric vehicle range management and to explore the behavior and the lived experience of users of thermal vehicle (TV) and electric vehicle (EV). It has allowed the acquisition of knowledge about the situated use of electric vehicle and associated informational needs. In the first phase of our study, a framework has been established through the study of the thermal vehicle range management. We identified four styles of "range management" on the basis of interviews and quantified using a questionnaire. These styles fit the cognitive-affective relationship and the behavior related to the risk of breakdown: some drivers are worried and anticipate their recharge to control uncertainty and risk, while others does not care and expect to reload much later. Three classes of determinants (individual, artefactual and contextual), influencing the adoption of a proactive or reactive practice, were identified. The second phase of our study was dedicated to the identification of the range management practices through a two weeks EV loan to nine drivers. The results, based on diaries and resituated interviews, highlighted the transfer of range management styles from TV to EV and their influence on risk-taking. The results also revealed the establishment of an almost daily refueling frequency for most drivers, a greater anticipation to control the electric vehicle range, the context in which some problematic routes appear, and sources of emotional comfort and discomfort. The study of artefacts proposed for range management resulted in a typology of instruments: they were classified in prospective, reflective, reflective synthetic and pragmatic instruments. Their roles and appropriation have been specified according to the context of use and styles. The development of “instruments system” by drivers and practical tests allow them to control their autonomy. The study of temporal evolution of practices and experiences showed an evolution of the risks taken with the VE which coincides with range management styles and an overall feeling of control. With both TV and EV, we note that styles may evolve to a lower anticipation with time. The tests and appropriation of instruments contribute to reduce this anticipation. The third phase of our study was based on the experience of the nine drivers who participated individually in sessions of projective creativity, based on two prototypes and allowing the expression of expectations in terms of instruments and services development. Participants expressed more expectations for prospective instruments and the results showed a positive influence of prototypes models for the requirements expressed. These methods and results were finally discussed in terms of theoretical and practical contributions and research opportunities they foreshadow

Yet, the challenges facing these territories are not small, in a context where their low population and service densities expose some people to different forms of isolation and social vulnerabilities. Rural social workers have to deal with their daily actions, sometimes between invisible public and complex institutions, with often limited material means. Not really studied, the phenomena of isolation and social intervention in rural areas yet show practices that still link where we would think to find that unbinding. On the basis of an "involved" research, bringing together the theories of disaffiliation and a sociology of attachments, this study proposes to think about social intervention in rural communities, which are also institutionally encouraged to innovate. Pełny tekst źródłaIn this thesis, foams based on more than 90% of natural products and with an exceptionally low thermal conductivity have been studied in depth. The main objective of this work was to improve some of the weaknesses of those materials and to solve problems that might be encountered during use, for allowing them to compete with other synthetic foams that are currently on the thermal insulation market. New methodologies have been proposed to optimise tannin-based foams from different points of view. First, liquid foams were analysed in terms of stability and polymerisation process using a backscattered light analyser, in order to convert them into improved rigid tannin-based foams. Experimental design was also used to improve the mechanical properties of physically blown rigid foams without prejudicing their thermal conductivity. On the other hand, hydrophobisation treatments were suggested for reducing the sensitivity of those foams to water in liquid or vapour form, and the effect of formulations’ ingredients on their fire properties were elucidated. Finally, two techniques of mechanical characterisation were investigated and compared, leading to Poisson’s coefficient and loss factor, and evidencing the precautions to be taken for characterising brittle foams

Pełny tekst źródłaThis thesis supports a reflection on the expertise deployed by a multitude of actors (human and non-human) on a multi-dimensional and complex subject: global, efficient, and collective energy retrofit. It questions the places and roles of actors in the design of collective and experimental actions which aim to achieve a massification of the energy retrofit of private individual housing. Four schemes, supported by a regional programme, are analysed through the sociology of organisations and the network actor. The careful study of the logic of actions, the articulation and the dynamics of the actors makes it possible to understand how the devices are built as «intermediaries» in their territory, or even as third-partiestrust in their target audience. This one is made up of private owners. The thesis provides an understanding of their practices and representations, and of their renovation paths. The joint study of private devices and uses provides an understanding of the strengths and limitations of collective operations. Through its research-action dimension, the thesis provides recommendations from a field of observation conducted for nearly three years in Lorraine. In this approach, the role of the sociologist, taken in the same way in the observations as any other actor, is the object of a reflexive work
