Streszczenie:

This study aimed to determine the differences in the development of life skills in the baseball practice group that integrated life skills with baseball training that was not integrated with life skills on the development of life skills. The design used in this study is the matching only-pretest-posttest control group design. The instrument used is the Life Skills Scale for Sport (LSSS). The results showed a significant difference in the life skills integrated baseball training program on the development of life skills giving a better effect. Therefore, there are differences in the development of life skills between the baseball practice group that integrates life skills and the baseball practice group that does not integrate life skills in the context of developing life skills from an early age. The difference is significant with the highest position of excellence in the baseball practice group that integrates life skills, then the baseball practice group that does not integrate life skills. Therefore, baseball can develop life skills, especially if the training process is integrated.

This paper looks at the evolution of the structure of construction contract documentation over time, from ancient Greece through to the near future, in terms of the degree to which the contract documentation is integrated. Documentation might comprise anything from a single ‘integrated’ text to a range of ‘dis-integrated’ documents, fashioned by different players in the procurement process and not offering an easily appreciable integrated whole. The paper ends with the hope that new digital methods of information production will lead to better integrated and more easily readable ‘wholes’ in the new forms offered by building information modelling (BIM), which in turn will facilitate collaborative working.The paper shows that contract documentation has evolved through four stages of integration: Integrated: up to the end of the medieval period construction contract documentation was essentially fully integrated – everything that was required was stated in the one written document, which typically covered contract conditions, building layouts, assembly descriptions, quantities of components and requirements for quality.

An integrated geographic information system is a geographic information system that aims to facilitate the creation and integration of mapping data so that researchers from various backgrounds can present their research results in the form of a map and can be combined on a larger scale. In making an integrated geographic information system, the use of the maps box was chosen because the maps box is a tool for making mapping that is free of charge both in making mappings and displaying mapping results so; it can save costs because the number of accessors and mappings made will incur substantial costs if using a paid alternative. However, the Maps box has many shortcomings in terms of features, so we researched to integrate third-party applications to fulfill the features that need to be added in the maps box. To overcome the shortcomings of the map box, the researcher integrates the route feature of Google Maps, integrates the location details feature on Google Maps, and integrates Google Maps coordinate data via the Google Maps link, which can be stored in the system so that these features can be used in an integrated geographic information system. Integrating third-party applications can create an integrated geographic information system using a map box but can also have more features.

Abstract The ability to study cellular heterogeneity at single cell resolution is making single-cell sequencing increasingly popular. However, there is no publicly available resource that offers an integrated cell atlas with harmonized metadata that users can integrate new data with. Here, we present DISCO (https://www.immunesinglecell.org/), a database of Deeply Integrated Single-Cell Omics data. The current release of DISCO integrates more than 18 million cells from 4593 samples, covering 107 tissues/cell lines/organoids, 158 diseases, and 20 platforms. We standardized the associated metadata with a controlled vocabulary and ontology system. To allow large scale integration of single-cell data, we developed FastIntegration, a fast and high-capacity version of Seurat Integration. We also developed CELLiD, an atlas guided automatic cell type identification tool. Employing these two tools on the assembled data, we constructed one global atlas and 27 sub-atlases for different tissues, diseases, and cell types. DISCO provides three online tools, namely Online FastIntegration, Online CELLiD, and CellMapper, for users to integrate, annotate, and project uploaded single-cell RNA-seq data onto a selected atlas. Collectively, DISCO is a versatile platform for users to explore published single-cell data and efficiently perform integrated analysis with their own data.

The term ‘regeneration’ has become ubiquitous in urban planning and is often used loosely to describe many urban interventions, including those of a purely commercial nature that renew (and often destroy) urban fabric purely for private profit. There is nothing inherently wrong with development for profit, but regeneration should imply something subtler, complex and multi-faceted. If, as urban practitioners, we ignore the social dimension of urban change and fail to redress existing imbalances then we are complicit in perpetuating social inequalities. Urban regeneration should be driven by an agenda to improve social wellbeing. As practitioners we have a moral imperative to address inequalities and develop design strategies to remove barriers to social integration, real or perceived. On the surface, London appears to be a multi-cultural city without the political or stark socio-spatial divisions that are seen, for example, in the banlieues of Paris. There are wealthier and poorer neighbourhoods of course but, due to its history and post war planning policies, most neighbourhoods are socially mixed. The divisions in London, however, are subtler and fine grained. The city is open (and indeed there are few, if any areas that are too dangerous to enter) but perceived barriers exist – invisible lines that divide the city, isolate some of its inhabitants and inhibit social mobility. This paper will look at the conditions that create divisions in London and will examine strategies that can break down the physical and psychological barriers within cities. It will use the Kings Cross regeneration scheme as a central case study

The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview, knowledge and describe about integrated learning in a pesantren-based school at SMA Terpadu Darussalam Rajapolah Tasikmalaya. AbstractThe Advanced Tactical Fighter (ATF) Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) Request For Proposals called for several dramatic changes in the acquisition process along the guidelines proposed by the Packard Commission. The ATF EMD Program was to truly be an event‐based program, as opposed to being driven predominantly by a schedule produced before the proposals were submitted. How can a major aircraft EMD program be managed apart from a schedule? Of course, it cannot. For the F‐22 EMD Program, an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) was developed, defining all essential tasks in a hierarchial and Integrated Product Team format. The IMP describes the Events, Significant Accomplishments, and Accomplishment Criteria to be completed to the satisfaction of the SPO/Contractor team throughout the nine year EMD Program. The IMP indicates which Work Breakdown Structure element is primarily tasked with each Accomplishment Criteria, the multiple Accomplishment Criteria under a specific Significant Accomplishment, and the multiple Significant Accomplishments necessary to successfully demonstrate satisfactory Event closure. The IMP is a contractual document, without calendar dates. An associated Integrated Master Schedule expands the contractual IMP by adding an expected schedule to every Event, Significant Accomplishment, and Accomplishment Criteria. The IMS also adds sub‐criteria Tasks to some Accomplishment Criteria. In the early stages of the EMD Program, the IMP has already demonstrated its value by instilling a discipline to the concurrent engineering nature of the F‐22 Program that might otherwise have been very difficult to achieve.

Recently, WebGL technology has shown a lot of potential for developing games. Since this technology is still relatively new, there is still much potential in the game development area that has not been explored yet. This paper explores the development of a game engine made with WebGL technology that integrates some physics frameworks for developing web-based 2D or 3D games. Specifically, we integrated three open source physics frameworks, which are Bullet, Cannon, and JigLib, into a WebGL-based game engine. We assessed these frameworks using some experiments, in terms of their correctness or accuracy, performance, completeness and compatibility. The results show that it is possible to integrate open source physics frameworks into a WebGL-based game engine, and Bullet is the best physics framework to be integrated into a WebGL-based game engine.

Some DNA viruses infect host animals usually by integrating their DNAs into the host genome. However, the mechanisms for integration remain largely unknown. Here, we find that Cotesia vestalis bracovirus (CvBV), a polydnavirus of the parasitic wasp C. vestalis (Haliday), integrates its DNA circles into host Plutella xylostella (L.) genome by two distinct strategies, conservatively and randomly, through high-throughput sequencing analysis. We confirmed that the conservatively integrating circles contain an essential “8+5” nucleotides motif which is required for integration. Then we find CvBV circles are integrated into the caterpillar’s genome in three temporal patterns, the early, mid and late stage-integration. We further identify that three CvBV-encoded integrases are responsible for some, but not all of the virus circle integrations, indeed they mainly participate in the processes of early stage-integration. Strikingly, we find two P. xylostella integrases (PxIN1 and PxIN2) are highly induced upon wasp parasitism, and PxIN1 is crucial for integration of some other early-integrated CvBV circles, such as CvBV_04, CvBV_12 and CvBV_24, while PxIN2 is important for integration of a late-integrated CvBV circle, CvBV_21. Our data uncover a novel mechanism in which CvBV integrates into the infected host genome, not only by utilizing its own integrases, but also by recruiting host enzymes. These findings will strongly deepen our understanding of how bracoviruses regulate and integrate into their hosts.

Relevance. The research addresses the need to enhance the methodological foundations of teaching chemistry through scientific experience, emphasizing the improvement of educational processes by integrating research and language skills development. Purpose. This study aims to develop a model for chemistry lessons that integrate content and language-integrated learning (CLIL) and project-based learning (PBL) at the laboratory research level, focusing on communication interaction in English. Methodology. Diagnostic testing with assessment using a five-point Likert scale is employed, analyzing data adapted from H.N. Kazantseva's �Learning Attitudes towards Academic Subjects� test. This approach identifies factors influencing student interest in lessons and specific fields, fostering motivational activation, critical thinking, cognitive skills, and research abilities. Results. The study presents a developed model of a chemistry lesson titled �Spectroscopy,� incorporating CLIL and PBL methods across lectures, practical classes, video lessons, and laboratory research. This model integrates scientific experiments on photon emission processes, electron behaviour, and other components, with practical applications such as analyzing emissions from water samples or other materials. The approach emphasizes communication in English, enhancing environmental studies, research skills, visibility in learning processes, thinking activity, and English language communication skills using scientific terminology. Conclusions. The integrated approach proposed in this research enriches the education system by fostering comprehensive learning experiences that integrate scientific inquiry, language proficiency development, and practical application in chemistry education. Notably, the research addresses challenges in achieving precision and user adaptability within Virtual Gesture Systems. Employing a systematic methodology, the study utilizes cutting-edge hardware and software to capture and analyze data related to hand motion. Additionally, this research integrates a voice assistant-based chatbot with limited functions, expanding the scope of interaction possibilities. The results offer a comprehensive evaluation of the combined Virtual Gesture System and voice-assisted chatbot. This evaluation includes a comparative analysis of accuracy, efficiency, and user satisfaction against existing systems in the field. The ensuing discussion interprets the findings, addressing initial research questions and outlining implications for future development. The integration of a voice assistant-based chatbot enhances the versatility of the system, opening avenues for streamlined and user-friendly interactions. Despite inherent limitations, this research significantly contributes to the understanding of Virtual Gesture Systems, presenting a novel approach to human-computer interaction across diverse domains.

If these two are combined like an example of anti-diabetic allopathic drug metformin which is most prescribed. The Metformin is having some side effects like diarrhoea, metallic test, loss of appetite etc., on other side ayurvedic anti-diabetic drug Andrographis paniculate may be a safe combination as Andrographis has protective effects on gastrointestinal tract also. Such integrative approaches will be an ideal in developing integrative potential and safe drugs. This strategy will work effectively and may find an innovative solution for lifestyle related diseases.

The traditional RFID reader module relies on a discrete original design. This design integrates a microcontroller, high-frequency RFID reader IC and other multiple chips onto a PCB board, leading to bottlenecks in cost, power consumption, stability and reliability. To align with the trend towards high integration, miniaturization and low power consumption in RFID reader, this paper introduces a fully integrated RFID Reader SoC. The SoC employs the open-source Cortex-M0 core to integrate the RF transceiver, analog circuits, baseband protocol processing, memory and interface circuits into one chip. It’s compatible with ISO/IEC 14443 A-type and B-type and ISO/IEC 15693 transmission protocols and rates. Manufactured using a 0.18 μm process, the chip is compatible with multiple standards. The optimized design of the digital baseband control circuit results in a chip area of only 11.95 mm2 offering clear advantages in both area and integration compared to similar work.

In an open energy market environment, energy retail competition is intensifying. integrated energy service provider (IEPS) with the right to operate regional integrated energy system. Under the requirement of distributed resource transaction access and scheduling security, how to integrate multi-level and multi-type user resources to participate in market operation, allocate resources within the region under its jurisdiction and improve the income of energy purchase and sale is the key for IESP to gain a favourable position in the market competition. Based on the operation framework of IESP including user grading and dynamic combination platform, integrate real-time dynamic combination of user resources into optimal scheduling, aiming at the operating economy of IEPS, an integrated energy purchase-sale decision making and scheduling method for IEPS considering user grading dynamic combination is proposed. Finally, an example is given to analysis through the regional integrated energy system with electric-gas-heat coupling. The results show that by reasonably combining users and scheduling distributed energy and adjustable load. The IESP can ensure the stable operation of the regional energy system, integrate and utilize decentralized resources to participate in the market, and maximize the economic benefits of energy purchase and sale.

The Mauriceville and Varkud mitochondrial plasmids of Neurospora spp. are closely related, small circular DNAs that propagate via an RNA intermediate and reverse transcription. To investigate the integration mechanism, we analyzed four cases in which the Varkud plasmid integrated into the mitochondrial small rRNA gene, three in wild-type subcultures and one in a senescent mutant. Our analysis suggests that the integrations occurred by the plasmid reverse transcriptase template switching between the plasmid transcript and internal sequences in the mitochondrial small rRNA to yield hybrid cDNAs that circularized and recombined homologously with the mtDNA. The integrated plasmid sequences are transcribed, presumably from the mitochondrial small rRNA promoters, resulting in hybrid RNAs containing the 5' segment of the mitochondrial small rRNA linked head-to-tail to the full-length plasmid transcript. Analysis of additional senescent mutants revealed three cases in which the plasmid used the same mechanism to integrate at other locations in the mtDNA. In these cases, circular variant plasmids that had incorporated a mitochondrial tRNA or tRNA-like sequence by template switching integrated by homologous recombination at the site of the corresponding tRNA or tRNA-like sequence in mtDNA. This simple integration mechanism involving template switching to generate a hybrid cDNA that integrates homologously could have been used by primitive retroelements prior to the acquisition of a specialized integration machinery.

In the wake of the dual-carbon objective, the call for low-carbon attributes in integrated energy systems is ascending, with an amplified imperative to integrate wind and solar power efficiently. This study introduces an advanced low-carbon optimization framework for integrated energy systems, incorporating a sophisticated time-differentiated carbon accounting mechanism attentive to consumer emissions. A nuanced carbon accounting model is crafted to assess consumer emissions with greater accuracy. Predicated on these emissions, a refined low-carbon demand response model is articulated, factoring in the influence of carbon emission factors pertinent to electricity and heat procurement on user conduct. This model integrates the consideration of heat reclaimed from methanation processes, which in turn informs the carbon emission factors associated with purchased heat, and evaluates the subsequent optimization impact on the system. The proposed model is designed to curtail the system’s operational expenditures and is operationalized via the CPLEX solver. Through the establishment of various scenarios for evaluative comparison, the model is corroborated to substantially augment the system’s proficiency in assimilating wind and solar energy, markedly curtail carbon emissions, and facilitate a sustainable and cost-efficient operation of the integrated energy system.

This research aims to analyze program factors, implementation, evaluation and barriers to curriculum integration between Ma'had Abu Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah and the Faculty of Islamic Religion (FAI) Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra (UMSU) in the Integrated Undergraduate Program. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Research findings show; 1) The curriculum integration program between Ma'had Abu Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah and FAI UMSU in the Integrated Undergraduate Program is a strategic collaboration to provide service diplomas to students, as well as facilitate students to continue higher education and improve the quality of Islamic education. 2) Implementation of curriculum integration between Ma'had Abu Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah and FAI UMSU in the Integrated Undergraduate Program is carried out through three aspects, namely integration of lecture schedules, integration of courses, and integration of assessments. 3) Evaluation of curriculum integration between Ma'had Abu Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah and FAI UMSU in the Integrated Undergraduate Program is carried out every semester. This program is able to provide positive impacts such as stability in student numbers, increasing student interest in learning, increasing the number of students with various abilities. 4) Obstacles in implementing curriculum integration between Ma'had Abu Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah include; lack of communication and coordination, time and cost constraints, delays and division of focus, curriculum changes, and students' perceptions of the value of knowledge.

Objectives: Current health technology assessment (HTA) is not well equipped to assess complex technologies as insufficient attention is being paid to the diversity in patient characteristics and preferences, context, and implementation. Strategies to integrate these and several other aspects, such as ethical considerations, in a comprehensive assessment are missing. The aim of the European research project INTEGRATE-HTA was to develop a model for an integrated HTA of complex technologies.Methods: A multi-method, four-stage approach guided the development of the INTEGRATE-HTA Model: (i) definition of the different dimensions of information to be integrated, (ii) literature review of existing methods for integration, (iii) adjustment of concepts and methods for assessing distinct aspects of complex technologies in the frame of an integrated process, and (iv) application of the model in a case study and subsequent revisions.Results: The INTEGRATE-HTA Model consists of five steps, each involving stakeholders: (i) definition of the technology and the objective of the HTA; (ii) development of a logic model to provide a structured overview of the technology and the system in which it is embedded; (iii) evidence assessment on effectiveness, economic, ethical, legal, and socio-cultural aspects, taking variability of participants, context, implementation issues, and their interactions into account; (iv) populating the logic model with the data generated in step 3; (v) structured process of decision-making.Conclusions: The INTEGRATE-HTA Model provides a structured process for integrated HTAs of complex technologies. Stakeholder involvement in all steps is essential as a means of ensuring relevance and meaningful interpretation of the evidence.

The implementation of a school-based integrated curriculum enables schools to plan a balanced, flexible and coherent curriculum in order to reduce subject specification, especially in kindergartens. Despite kindergarten teachers in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) being encouraged to integrate music content across subject areas, these boundaries still exist and prove challenging. This instrumental case study shows how one kindergarten teacher attempted to integrate other subjects into the music curriculum through movement and games, and encourage children's creativity. Eight detailed observations of music lessons and an interview with the kindergarten teacher depict her efforts at integration. Findings show that some progress was made and that the support of the principal was pivotal. They also suggest ways in which kindergarten teachers might begin to incorporate more creative integrated approaches to music education and have some applicability to other kindergarten settings where transmission approaches tend to dominate and teachers want to encourage music integration and children's musical creativity.

The purpose of this paper is to describe the development of a new framework for understanding technology-integrated assessment in higher education based on a review of the literature using the assessment design in a digital world framework (Bearman et al., 2022) as a lens. Our review (Madland et al., 2024) revealed both congruities and incongruities between the literature and the framework, leading to the need for further work to accurately conceptualize technology-integrated assessment. In this article, we contribute to the literature on technology-integrated assessment in higher education by proposing the technology-integrated assessment framework. This paper marks an important step in extending our understanding of the factors influencing instructors who integrate technology into their assessment practice and promoting ethical and equitable approaches to technology-integrated assessment in higher education.

Objectives This study focused on integrated classes, which are the core tasks of school education in today's knowledge convergence era, and attempted to propose a plan for integrated classes centered on the Korean language department using poetry texts. Methods Poetry texts have many elements in common with various subjects in that they are prominent in musicality and conversationality and reflect various aspects of human life, and have excellent potential as a medium for integrated classes. If you run an integrated class using poetry text in the Korean language department, you can expect the effect of effective language learning, total understanding of knowledge, motivating learning and strengthening memory, and solving future social problems through creativity and character enhancement. Results Accordingly, an integrated instructional plan was proposed in consideration of the significance of integrated classes using poetry texts. First, according to what is integrated with the Korean language and literature fields centering on the poem text, it was classified into intra-subject integration, inter-subject integration, and cross-curricular integration with learning topics. In-subject integration is a plan to integrate and operate literature and other areas within the Korean language department, inter-subject integration is a method to integrate the Korean language and literature fields with other subjects, and cross-curricular learning topics. Poetry texts suitable for use in each type were presented, and a Korean language department-centered integrated class was designed and proposed based on this. Conclusions The significance of this study is that it specifically proposed an integrated teaching plan for the Korean language department using poetry texts. It is necessary to refine the integrated teaching plan through continuous revision and supplementation by applying these measures to actual classes.

Socioscientific issues (SSI) are often used to facilitate students’ engagement in multiple scientific practices such as decision-making and argumentation, both of which are goals of STEM literacy, science literacy, and integrated STEM education. Literature often emphasizes scientific argumentation over socioscientific argumentation, which involves considering social factors in addition to scientific frameworks. Analyzing students’ socioscientific arguments may reveal how students construct such arguments and evaluate pedagogical tools supporting these skills. In this study, we examined students’ socioscientific arguments regarding three SSI on pre- and post-assessments in the context of a course emphasizing SSI-based structured decision-making. We employed critical integrative argumentation (CIA) as a theoretical and analytical framework, which integrates arguments and counterarguments with stronger arguments characterized by identifying and refuting counterarguments. We hypothesized that engaging in structured decision-making, in which students integrate multidisciplinary perspectives and consider tradeoffs of various solutions based upon valued criteria, may facilitate students’ development of integrated socioscientific arguments. Findings suggest that students’ arguments vary among SSI contexts and may relate to students’ identities and perspectives regarding the SSI. We conclude that engaging in structured decision-making regarding personally relevant SSI may foster more integrated argumentation skills, which are critical to engaging in information-laden democratic societies.
