Esta comunicação relata a experiência do projeto de extensão Jornalismo e Ação Comunitária (JAC), criado no Curso de Jornalismo da UFSC, durante a pandemia da Covid-19. O projeto visa aproximar os estudantes às realidades populares e empoderar as comunidades a partir da comunicação comunitária. Assim, os discentes são incitados a realizar projetos de comunicação não só voltados para as comunidades, mas construídos com elas. Diante da pandemia, apresentou-se o desafio: Como colocar o projeto em andamento respeitando as orientações de distanciamento social? O grupo criou, remotamente, junto às comunidades do Maciço do Morro da Cruz, em Florianópolis, a série jornalística Pipa Informativa. O intuito desta produção impressa e digital é preencher lacunas de informação de pertinência popular na pandemia. Para tanto, tem o apoio do Instituto Padre Vilson Groh, do Conselho Comunitário do Monte Serrat e da Associação de Professores da UFSC. Entre abril e agosto de 2020, período descrito neste trabalho, os materiais produzidos alcançaram mais de 5.000 famílias via redes sociais (Facebook e Instagram), WhatsApp e panfletos impressos.

Dedica-se ao desenvolvimento de trabalhos que transitam entra as linguagens, com ênfase em performance, escultura e instalação. Com formação em Artes Plásticas – bacharelado em Artes Plásticas na Escola Guignard (UEMG) – e outras áreas do saber – estudou medicina na Faculdade de Medicina da UFMG e bacharelado (incompleto) em Design Gráfico (UEMG). Estudou canto popular na Babaya Casa de Canto (2005-2009) e canto lírico (2009-2019) com Marilene Gangana, Neyde Ziviani e Sergio Anders. Desenvolve atualmente sua pesquisa em artes visuais no atelier ESPAI, em Belo Horizonte. Participou do grupo do Háptico de Sonia Laboriau, na escola Guignard, em 2007-2008 e do grupo de estudos e orientação de projetos com Solange Pessoa, em 2008. Fundador da plataforma Glory Hole, dedicada a experimentações de linguagens, sem categoria nem classificação. Em 2008 realiza a performance “Triângulo das delícias” no Instituto Inhotim. Em 2010 participa do filme “petit a” de Dora Longo Bahia, dentro do projeto Destricted.br e no mesmo ano recebe o convite de Marco Paulo Rolla para participar de suas performances, durante uma semana consecutiva de performances, na mostra dos terreiros da 29ª Bienal de São Paulo. Participou da residência artística CA-BRA (Centro América – BRAsil), em 2011, com jovens artistas de toda a América Latina. Em 2013 realiza sua primeira performance no Museu de Arte da Pampulha, na mostra Outra Presença. Com a mostra “Da morte e do amor – proposições de um aniquilamento do outro” inaugura a galeria Periscopio Arte Contemporânea em 2015. Deixa a galeria em 2017 e retoma sua poética baseada na diluição do corpo, na sublimação do objeto e na revivificação de símbolos decadentes. Foi finalista do Prêmio Pipa em 2020.

Resistensi antibiotik menjadi masalah global yang menyebar luas di dunia. Lingkungan merupakan jalur transmisi dan menyebabkan resistensi antibiotik. Hal itu dapat disebabkan oleh buruknya infrastruktur limbah air dan kontaminasi fekal. Kontaminasi air berpengaruh buruk bagi kesehatan manusia. Kampus ISTN memiliki pipa saluran air keran yang jarak berdekatan dengan pipa septic tank, jarak antara pipa air keran dengan pipa septic tank berkisar ≤ 11 meter. Kontaminasi air oleh Escherichia coli menjadi factor penurunan kualitas air. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengisolasi E. coli dari pipa air keran kampus ISTN dan mendeteksi resistensinya terhadap antibiotik. Empat isolate E. coli telah diisolasi menggunakan media Lactose Broth dan Chromogenic Coliform Agar. Empat isolat E. coli telah diidentifikasi secara biokimiawi. Empat isolate E. coli diuji sensitivitasnya terhadap antibiotik amoksisilin, tetrasiklin, kloramfenikol, dan siprofloksasin menggunakan metode difusi cakram. Sensitivitas antibiotik diinterpresikan berdasarkan standar CLSI (Clinical and Laboratory Standard Institute). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa isolat 1A, 2A, 3A, dan 4A resisten terhadap amoksisilin, dan isolat 1A bersifat intermediat.

Mengacu pada kondisi alat uji mekanika fluida saat ini, bak penampungan air dan pompa terpisah dari kerangka alat sehingga memungkinkan terjadinya kebocoran pada sambungan akibat berubah-ubah posisi serta belum terdapat alat untuk mengukur tegangan (arus) dan tekanan pada pipa keluar saat alat bekerja. Alat Uji Mekanika Fluida yang telah dirancang untuk menjalankan simulasi aliran fluida pada varian pipa–pipa dengan kondisi kecepatan aliran berdasarkan pengaturan kecepatan putaran pompa di Laboratorium Institut Teknologi Budi Utomo. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut perlu dilakukan modifikasi dan penambahan alat ukur untuk peningkatan akurasi hasil pengujian Alat Uji Mekanika Fluida. Adapun perubahan yang dilakukan berupa pemindahan posisi reservoir dari posisi depan ke posisi belakang serta penambahan komponen - komponen untuk meningkatkan akurasi hasil pengujian yang terdiri dari pengatur kecepatan pompa, alat ukur tekanan pada sisi discharge pompa serta alat ukur tegangan dan arus dengan panel display indikator. Hasil pengujian setelah rekondisi yaitu Head losses pipa dan fitting setelah rekondisi dengan membuka katup 100% = 0,07492 m, Head losses fitting pembukaan katup 100% = 10,81 m, kecepatan aliran sesudah rekondisi pembukaan katub 100% = 3,488 m/s, debit pompa 27 lpm dengan efisiensi pompa sebesar 91,85%. Dari hasil pengujian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin besar membuka katub dengan luas penampang yang sama semakin besar pula Head losses, kecepatan aliran, debit aliran terhadap pipa dan efisiensi pompa

Mengingat pentingnya kebutuhan air bersih pada suatu gedung maka sistem plambing penyediaan air bersih merupakan bagian yang tidak dapat terpisahkan agar distribusi air bersih ke seluruh bagian yang memerlukan dapat terpenuhi dengan debit dan tekanan yang sesuai. Dengan perkembangan fungsi dan kebutuhan maka terjadi pengembangan gedung tanpa dilakukan analisis kesesuaian sistem penyaluran air bersih sehingga akan mengakibatkan sistem penyediaan air bersih menjadi kurang efisien dan efektif dan berdampak pada biaya operasional yang tinggi. Sistem plambing penyediaan air bersih pada gedung meliputi sistem penyediaan air bersih, instalasi air bersih, analisa perhitungan kebutuhan air bersih yang meliputi mengetahui perkiraan jumlah penghuni, mengetahui pemakaian air bersih dalam sehari, dan mengetahui berapa pemakaian air bersih berdasarkan jenis dan jumlah alat plambing, analisa perhitungan perencanaan pipa air bersih yang meliputi mengetahui dimensi pipa air bersih dari ground water tank ke roof tank, dengan menggunakan sumber air tanah maupun PDAM. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan didapatkan hasil jumlah Unit Beban Alat Plambing di kampus 1 IST AKPRIND berjumlah 332 buah dengan debit pemakaian jam puncak sebesar 440 L/menit, pompa suplay dengan sumber air tanah menggunakan pompa sumur dalam, merk Sanyo Model PD-WH200 B, daya 200 watt, daya hisap 27 m, tinggi aliran maks 50 m, pipa 1 ¼ inch, debit 27 liter/menit sehingga tidak dapat memenuhi kebutuhan debit jam puncak. Untuk dapat memenuhi kebutuhan di suplai dari sumber PDAM dengan biaya rata-rata Rp 2.071.000,- per bulan. Untuk effisiensi biaya operasional dapat dilakukan dengan penggantian pompa air tanah yang sesuai dan menghentikan suplai air bersih dari PDAM, alternatif pompa yang dapat dipergunakan : pompa sentrifugal merk Shouwfou Type SPM 232 L dengan spesifikasi Daya 1,5 KW, 2 HP, 1 Phase, 220 V, Diameter pipa suplay 1,5 Inch, Max head 46 m, Debit 220 L/menit.

Abstract Posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) aneurysms are infrequent compared with other intracranial aneurysms and are more commonly distal in origin (35% of PICA aneurysms are distal vs 6.5% of other aneurysms). This makes PICA aneurysms a surgical challenge that requires careful consideration of the patient's angiographic anatomy and perfusion needs before deciding on the appropriate intervention. This patient had a highly calcified left PICA p2 segment aneurysm, which was not favorable for endovascular intervention. An end-to-side anastomosis of the occipital artery to the p3 PICA segment was performed. This anastomosis was achieved with 11-0 suture. A permanent clip was then placed along the vertebral artery occluding both the proximal PICA and the aneurysm. Indocyanine green angiography was performed to demonstrate bypass and PICA patency. The patient gave informed consent for surgery and video recording. Institutional review board approval was deemed unnecessary. Grain hardness is a major determinant of the classification and end-use of wheat. Two genes, Pina-D1 and Pinb-D1, have a major effect on this trait, so for wheat breeding programs it is important to identify the alleles of these genes present in elite germplasm. This study was conducted to identify the alleles present in southern Australian germplasm, and to determine if they affected quality characteristics other than grain hardness.Only 3 genotypes were identified. These were Pina-D1a/Pinb-D1a producing soft grain, Pina-D1a/Pinb-D1b producing moderately hard grain, and Pina-D1b/Pinb-D1a producing very hard grain. WW15 was the probable source of Pina-D1a/Pinb-D1b in most cultivars; however, Halberd represented another source. An important source of Pina-D1b/Pinb-D1a was the CIMMYT line Pavon, with sources from the old Australian cultivars Gabo and Falcon probably still present in modern germplasm.In an analysis of grain quality data from the Victorian Institute for Dryland Agriculture breeding program, the Pina-D1b/Pinb-D1a genotype had a significantly higher water absorption and significantly lower milling yield than the Pina-D1a/Pinb-D1b genotype, which indicates that these genes will impede the development of hard-grained cultivars that combine high water absorption and high milling yield.

Permasalahan yang terjadi pada PT BALI GRAHA SURYA adalah pada proses welding dan welding inspection, stringing pipa, dan trenching pipa di mana risiko yang terjadi memengaruhi keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) karyawan dan juga memengaruhi lama waktu penyelesaian proyek. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan konsep manajemen risiko untuk menganalisis risiko operasional, di mana konsep tersebut dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi, mengawasi, dan mengkomunikasikan kejadian risiko yang berhubungan dengan segala aktivitas yang terjadi di perusahaan. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa risiko yang ada pada proses welding dan welding inspection adalah risiko terbakar, bahaya sinar UV dari pengelasan, bahaya panas, bahaya percikan api las, kejatuhan pipa dan tersetrum mesin las dengan total indeks risiko sebesar 9,324. Stringing pipa memiliki risiko tertimpa dan terjepit pipa dengan total indeks risiko sebesar 8,481 dan Trenching pipa memiliki risiko tanah longsor pada bantaran dengan total indeks risiko sebesar 8,092. Tindakan untuk penanganan risiko tersebut adalah dengan mewajibkan pekerja menggunakan APD, memeriksa semua kondisi isolasi untuk mengetahui kondisi alat yang akan digunakan, bekerja sesuai dengan SOP, memasang dinding pengaman galian, dan penempatan tanah bekas galian minimal 1 meter dari bibir galian.Kata Kunci : Risiko, Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja, Manajemen Risiko.ABSTRACT The risk is a common part in every business process of any corporation, so anticipation and protection are the best action to overcome it. In PT BALI GRAHA SURYA, the problems often happen in the welding process and inspection, stringing pipe and pipe trenching where its risk affects the safety & health of labor and the time completion of project. This research adopts risk management concept to analyze the operational risk where that concept aims to identify, monitor, and communicate the risk events associated with all the activities, functions or processes that occur in the company. The result shows that the risks occurred in the welding process and inspection are fire hazards, UV rays from welding hazards, thermal hazards, welding sparks, pipe collapse and electric shock. Those risks count total risks index 9,324. For stringing-pipe task, the risks such as crushed and wedged by pipelines count total risks index 8,481. Trenching pipelines task counts total risk index 8,092 caused by landslides in the riverbank. The risks management effort can be performed by requiring workers to use appropriate personal protective equipment, inspecting all insulation conditions in order to determine the condition of the tool to be used, working in accordance with the SOP, installing excavation security wall, and placing ex- excavation at least 1 meter away from the edge of excavation.Keywords : Risk, Health and Safety, Risk Management.

Abstract Background Posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) is a tortuous, variable, and uncommon site for aneurysms. Surgical management of PICA aneurysms involves careful selection of approach based on the location of the aneurysm and meticulous dissection of the neurovascular structures and perforators. Materials and Methods We did a retrospective review of all the PICA aneurysms operated at our institute in the past 10 years along with the site, presentation, and approach used for the same. Preoperative World Federation of Neurosurgical Society scores and follow-up modified Rankin scores (mRS) were also evaluated. During the same period, data for intervention cases of PICA aneurysm were also collected with follow-ups for a comparative analysis. Results A total of 20 patients with 21 PICA aneurysms were reviewed. All the reviewed cases presented with subarachnoid hemorrhage, and the most common location was the lateral medullary segment and vertebral artery (VA)–PICA junction. Midline approaches were used for distal PICA cases, with far-lateral approach reserved for anterior medullary/VA–PICA junction. No lower cranial nerve palsies were recorded at follow-up. Four cases needed cerebrospinal fluid diversion and two developed cerebellar infarcts. All cases were mRS 0 to 2 at follow-up. Conclusion Our series compares well with some of the larger surgical series of PICA aneurysms. This may be due to early referral patterns and early surgery (<24 hours) policy at our institution. Anatomical knowledge of PICA anatomy and sound perioperative management are keys to good outcomes in these cases.

The present dissertation sought to present fairly straightforward doctrinal and jurisprudential debate about the tax immunity of private pension fund, maintained by philanthropic institution of education, nonprofit ??? for their employees. Where, initially, it was social solidarity, as constitutional basis to ensure a fair and egalitarian society. Then sought to introduce demographic scenario social security raised by the Brazilian Institute of geography and statistics-IBGE. Furthermore, it was held about explanation of constitutional power to tax immunities ??? emphasizing the constitutional and legislation infra-constitutional commandment that surround and permeate the pension funds. There was talk the sponsorship of private pension plans by Entity, non-profit education in favor of their employers. Already at the end were presented needs to have a corporate and social security governance of pension plans. And, in conclusion found that observing the commandments law, pension funds are effectively supported by the standard vaccines and lend themselves to an important role with regard to the political-administrative and social balance of the country.

Questo lavoro fa parte di una più ampia ricerca sul rapporto tra l’Italia e i Paesi Nordici, guidata dal prof. Antonello Alici presso l'Università Politecnica delle Marche. Il lavoro è stato organizzato cronologicamente, attorno all'analisi di articoli italiani sul tema paesi nordici e di materiali d'archivio originali, tracciandone i rapporti reciproci con il pubblico italiano, e concentrandosi su viaggi ed esposizioni architettoniche e artistiche. In particolare, la ricerca si concentra sugli eventi legati alla nazione –la Svezia– che per prima ha avuto l'introduzione più rilevante nel panorama italiano, a partire dalla prima Biennale veneziana nel 1895. Il primo capitolo indaga la genesi di questo rapporto prima dell'inizio della prima guerra mondiale, grazie al contributo di persone come Vittorio Pica e Ferdinand Boberg. Il secondo capitolo affronta le conseguenze della prima guerra mondiale, con l'emigrazione del futurista Arturo Ciacelli (1883-1966), l'incisore Guido Balsamo Stella (1882-1941) ed i viaggi dell'architetto Giuseppe Broglio (1874-1956). Il terzo capitolo si concentra sui due decenni fascisti, concentrandosi sul ruolo di istituzioni come la Triennale di Milano e l'Istituto Svedese di Studi Classici a Roma. Infine, l'ultimo capitolo esamina il periodo del dopoguerra, quando l'ammirazione italiana per il design e l'architettura svedese ha trovato risonanze interessanti sia nei piani INA Casa che in alcuni progetti espositivi, nel lavoro di architetti quali Piero Bottoni (1903-1973), Piero Maria Lugli (1923-2008), Gio Ponti e Franco Albini (1905-1977). La ricerca ha evidenziato come le nuove Istituzioni, sulla scia di quelle fondate nei decenni precedenti, come l'Istituto Svedese (SI) e l'Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Stoccolma (IIC) –oggi ancora attive– abbiano avuto un ruolo fondamentale nel propaganda internazionale. Infine, la ricerca vuole mettere in luce come questa complessa combinazione di esperienze personali, riviste (di arte e architettura) e istituzioni costituisca il vero sfondo per storici come Bruno Zevi (che fu il primo a inserire tre maestri nordici nel suo pamphlet Verso un'architettura organica) e Leonardo Benevolo, che nel 1960 riconobbe il ruolo di aree ‘periferiche’ come la Svezia e la Finlandia, nella sua Storia dell'architettura moderna.
This work is part of a wider research on the relationship between Italy and the Nordic countries, headed by prof. Antonello Alici at the Università Politecnica delle Marche. The work is organized chronologically around the analysis of both Italian articles on Nordic countries and original archival materials, tracing back the mutual relationships with the Italian audience, focusing on artistic and architectural travels and exhibitions. In particular, the research focuses on the events related to the nation –Sweden– which first had the most relevant introduction into Italian Architecture since the first Venetian Biennale in 1895. The first chapter investigates the genesis of this relationship before the beginning of the First World War, thanks to the contribution of figures as Vittorio Pica and Ferdinand Boberg. The second chapter deals with the consequences occurred after the First World War, with the emigration of the futurist Arturo Ciacelli (1883-1966), the engraver Guido Balsamo Stella (1882-1941) and the travels of the architect Giuseppe Broglio (1874-1956). The third chapter concentrates on the two Fascist decades, focusing on the role of Institutions like the Triennale in Milan and the Swedish Institute of Classical Studies in Rome. Finally, the last chapter examines the Post-war period, when Italian admiration for Swedish design and architecture found interesting resonances both in the INA Casa plans as well as in some exhibition projects, in the work of Italian architects like Piero Bottoni (1903-1973), Piero Maria Lugli (1923-2008), Gio Ponti and Franco Albini (1905-1977). The research highlights how the new Institutions, on the heels of the ones founded in the previous decades, like the Swedish Institute (SI) and the Italian Institute of Culture in Stockholm (IIC) –both still active nowadays– had a fundamental role in the International propaganda. Finally, the thesis discusses how this complex combination of personal experiences, art and architectural magazines and official institutions formed the real background for an historian like Bruno Zevi, who was the first to insert three Nordic masters in his seminal pamphlet Verso un’architettura organica, and Leonardo Benevolo, who in 1960 recognized the role of ‘peripheral’ areas like Sweden and Finland, in his History of Modern Architecture.

RESUMO Com o objetivo de revisitar o séc. XVIII no âmbito da historiografia literária através da obra de Francisco de Pina e Melo, este estudo entronca em dois marcos de análise a que se associam duas facetas distintas do autor: o poeta e o teorizador da literatura. De um lado, propõe-se o estudo da sobrevivência do legado barroco na sua mais significativa obra de poesia (As Rimas, 1726); do outro, o estudo do campo da doutrinação estética, em que assume relevo o diálogo com os modernos comentadores europeus da Poética e, na sua esteira, os críticos e intelectuais portugueses de meados de Setecentos. No intuito de questionar uma leitura sequencial da evolução das correntes estéticas, determinante na projeção de uma ideia de rutura no trânsito da cultura barroca para a da Ilustração (Mendes dos Remédios, Hernâni Cidade, Saraiva e Lopes, etc.), conferimos especial atenção à formação de paradigmas estéticos e de pensamento crítico no âmbito das academias literárias do séc. XVIII, assinalando o debate entre antigos e modernos espelhado na evolução das diferentes perspetivas que em certo momento se sobrepõem. Como tal, afigurou-se-nos relevante indagar acerca da associação do poeta montemorense com a forma mentis do novator. Em que argumentos se funda a reação anti-barroca que configura uma inovação no campo literário de meados do séc. XVIII, e de que modo esta é recebida pelos conservadores da velha ordem barroca estabelecida? Como se configuram a poesia e pensamento estético de Pina e Melo no seio do confronto entre códigos fundados sobre noções de estilo divergentes e, simultaneamente, diferentes conceções da herança clássica. De que modo o poeta responde, teoricamente, ao “novo gosto” neoclássico, e como procura adaptar a “simplicidade francesa” e os modelos do arcadismo na sua prática poética? Qual é o resultado desse esforço conciliatório, que coloca no centro das querelas da Ilustração dois tipos de conceção estrutural do poema épico, um assente na alegorese e varietas barroca, e outro fundado nos princípios aristotélicos de verosimilhança e unidade? Nas reações de Melo aos diferentes julgamentos dirigidos às suas obras, é possível delinear a formação de uma consciência autoral, paralela da caracterização que o poeta faz do seu próprio estilo literário, num contexto em que o receio de difamação pessoal surge especialmente em relevo e determina uma idealização tanto do poeta como do crítico. Analisaremos, neste domínio, também a emergência de diferentes tipos de crítica e de público. O estudo do livro d’As Rimas I, II e III permite-nos, por sua vez, entender especificidades do código barroco de influência gongórica em Portugal. Veremos como o tenebrismo fúnebre e a melancolia “negra” na lírica de Melo, a par de outros elementos estruturais, evidenciam a presença de um subjetivismo que surge associado à construção e projeção de uma imagem autoral marcada. À luz da poesia de Pina e Melo, pode dizer-se que a ênfase dada ao “estilo” e ao seu ornato, na lírica da 1.ª metade do séc. XVIII, se coaduna com a progressiva autonomização do campo literário na Europa moderna, traduzindo um trabalho que tem no horizonte uma singularização do autor, em busca de uma originalidade que lhe garanta um lugar de destaque no Parnaso. A problemática do autor afigura-se, pois, configuradora de um estudo que se propõe analisar as interações entre sujeito e instituição literária no quadro da sedimentação do pensamento moderno na literatura e cultura portuguesas, colocando em foco o jogo de espelhos patente no diálogo entre Melo e os seus críticos.
ABSTRACT This study’s objective is to revisit the eighteenth century’s Portuguese literary historiography through the work of Francisco de Pina e Melo by developing two frameworks of analysis that link two distinct aspects of the author: the poet and the literary theorist. From Francisco de Pina e Melo’s work as a poet, we pull his most significant contribution titled As Rimas, which was published in 1726 and survives as a prime example of Baroque literature. In exploring his work as a literary theorist, we will dig deep into the field of aesthetic indoctrination, as we review the dialogue of modern European poetics commentators and Portuguese critics which came in the wake of prominent mid-eighteenth century Portuguese intellectuals. In order to discuss a sequential reading of the evolution of the eighteenth century’s aesthetic movements that promotes the idea of a break in the transition from Baroque culture to that of Enlightenment (Mendes dos Remédios, Hernâni Cidade, Saraiva e Lopes, among others), we will base our inquiry in the form of aesthetic and critical thought paradigms within the literary academies, marking the debate between the old and the new mirrored in the evolution of the different perspectives that for a time overlapped. As such, it seems relevant to inquire into the relation between Pina e Melo and the novator’s mindset. It needs to be understood what the basis for the anti-baroque reaction is and in what terms it innovated the literary field of the mid-eighteenth century. Also, we need to consider how the anti-baroque reaction was received by the conservatives in the old established baroque order and how it shaped Melo’s poetry and aesthetic thought within the midst of confrontation between codes based on divergent notions of style and different conceptions of the classical heritage. Moreover, we intend to explored how the poet theoretically responded to the “new” classical taste and how he sought to adapt French simplicity and neoclassicism in his poetry. As the poet tries to reconcile these different influences, he creates something different, that can be understood in the context of Enlightenment’s quarrels over the structural conception of epic fiction; one based on the concept of Baroque allegory and Baroque varietas concept and the other based on the Aristotelian principles of verisimilitude and unity. As a reader, we can begin to see Melo’s authorial consciousness in reaction to the different criticisms directed at his work, and alongside this reaction to criticism his own characterization of his literary style, which, given the context, appears fearful of personal defamation and places a focus on building an idealized portrait of the poet and the critic. In connection to this, we will also analyze the emergence of different types of critics and audiences in regards to his work. The study of the book As Rimas I, II and III allows us to understand the nature of the Gongoric influence on the Baroque code in Portugal. We will see how funeral gloom and dark melancholy in Melo’s lyric poetry, along with other structural elements, are evidence of a subjectivism, which is connected with the building and projecting of a distinct authorial image. The emphasis given to ornate style and its grand embellishments in the Portuguese lyric poetry in the first half of the eighteenth century, which Melo was a well-known practitioner of, is consistent with the progressive autonomy of the literary field in modern Europe, preparing a path for future works which put the focus on the singularity of the author who was searching for an originality, what would guarantee him a prominent place in Parnassus. The author’s problem gives shape to a study whose purpose is to examine the interactions between the subject and the literary establishment in the context of the sedimentation of modern thought in Portuguese literature and culture, while placing a special focus on the game of smoke and mirrors which characterized the dialogue between Melo and his critics.

This report was prepared as an account of work sponsored through the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Center for Research and Technology Development by Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation, El Paso Natural Gas Company, Gas Research Institute, Research Committee on Gas Pipelines Safety, and Washington Gas and Electric Company. This document’s purpose is to provide pipeline operators with historical data on line pipe, so that they will be able to operate their pipelines, particularly the older ones, with greater confidence in their safety and reliability. The document is comprised of four major sections. The first explains the manufacturing processes that have been and are being used to make line pipe. The second presents tables by type of pipe listing the manufacturers of line pipe, past and present, in North America. At the end of this section some techniques for identifying unknown pipe samples are presented. In the third section the API line pipe specifications as they have evolved since 1928 are reviewed. The fourth section is a glossary of terms frequently associated with line pipe manufacturing.

From 1988 to the present the Institute of Marine Biology and Ecology of Piombino has studied the marine environmental situation of the Gulf of Follonica (Italy), in collaboration with the Universities of Siena, Pisa, Urbino, Sassari, Corte (FR) and the CNR of Pisa. In recent years erosion has drastically changed the sandy beaches mainly as a consequence of the constant retreat of the P. oceanica meadows whose possible causes have been studied. Abstract“That they all may be one” (Jn 17:21) … Does, after more than 2000 years of church history full of conflict and contestation, this famous prayer of Jesus not rather seem like a pipe dream that further broadens the gap between aspirations and reality? Is ecumenism just a utopian attempt to ‘uncrack’ the egg that has got broken more and more by each new church division? Or is there more to dissent, to conflict and contestation from a theological angle than just the alarmed hushing up of dissenting voices by streamlined, objection-shunning ecclesial authorities? Given the controversy stories of Jesus in the gospels, is contestation indeed an ‘extraordinary’ phenomenon not befitting a church that professes to be ‘one, holy, catholic, and apostolic’? Is it possible to make conflict and disagreement the point of departure for creative theological reflection and sturdy ecumenical progress? What are the fruits that might be harvested from acknowledging and creatively engaging with the Christian legacy of conflict?This presentation takes as its point of departure the Protestant Reformation in the sixteenth century, when conflict was blazing up on different levels in theology, church, and state governance as well as society at large, at times resulting in physical aggression and religiously instigated violence and warfare. It cannot be denied that at the time conflict was playing a prominent role in the theological realm. Which are the theological lessons to be learnt today from this time of fierce conflict? As a result, the period of confessionalisation followed which led to clearly distinct ecclesial identities developing into the Lutheran Church, the Reformed Church, and the Roman Catholic Church. Each of them had become a new delimited community. Although there were attempts at reconciliation at the time, the differences and contradictions prevailed and ecclesial unity in the West was lost.If we understand ecumenism as an attempt of the different churches involved to overcome the contradiction of their opposed communal identities, this helps with assessing the role of conflict and dissent among those churches. On the one hand, this interpretation explains why only the modern ecumenical movement as a broad attempt at ‘concerted action’ yielded some success, although it never achieved the goal of “visible unity”—as the Constitution of the World Council of Churches (WCC) actually formulates the primary purpose of the WCC as an ecumenical institution. On the other hand, this interpretation clarifies why the modern ecumenical movement can function as a laboratory for devising innovative hermeneutical instruments. These instruments are designed for coping with controversy and conflict as well as for enhancing unity. Particularly the ‘differentiated’ or ‘differentiating consensus’, a hermeneutical tool developed in the International Lutheran–Roman Catholic Dialogue (since 1967) and for the first time fully fleshed out in the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification (1999) merits closer analysis as an instrument to manage conflict and to harvest from dissent, but also as a tool to foster mutual understanding and enable encounter and cooperation between the two Christian World Communions involved.On the basis of the insights gained, the theological role of conflict and dissent becomes more clearly perceivable and it can be asked: how can conflicts become loci theologici, hallmarks of theological differentiation and discernment; how can they, by taking the shape of various forms of prophetic resistance, function as catalysts; and how can they have formative effects teaching to take seriously the differences of the other, but also to appreciate all the more the commonalities. If these points can be clarified sufficiently, conflict can enable true encounter, while an attitude is adopted that Pope Francis once labelled “the third way” to deal with conflict (EG 227).

In those early years advertising was organized by Antonio Fradeletto, Romolo Bazzoni and Augusto Sezanne, the official graphic designer of the pre-war biennials, that created also the Biennale brand. Over the years, communication strategies of the Institution developed due to personalities such as Pica, Maraini and Pallucchini. Biennale posters were fundamental to give visibility to the institution in the world. An accurate graphic design and an allusion to Venice contributed to spread a truly significant image of the exhibition.

The American Petroleum Institute has published and updated specifications for the manufacturing of line pipe since 1928. The first such specification, API Standard No. 5-L, First Edition, was issued in January, 1928. The First Edition was a “pocket-sized” (4 × 7 inches) 38 page document. The most recent edition: API Specification 5L, Forty-First Edition, is dated April 1, 1995. It is an 8½- by 11-inch book of 119 pages. Along the ~ay the document has undergone many changes but the essential purpose has remained the same, namely, “to provide standards for pipe suitable for use in conveying, gas, water, and oil in both the oil and natural gas industries”. The elements of pipe manufacturing addressed by the standard have remained essentially the same, namely, processes of manufacturing, material properties, dimensional requirements, workmanship, inspection, testing, threading and couplings, and marking and documentation. Nevertheless, if one were to compare the First Edition to the Forty-First Edition, one would notice significant modifications mostly in response to both increasing emphasis on product quality and improvements in manufacturing technology. Summaries of the requirements of each API 5L edition are listed in Table 9-1, and summaries for API 5LX editions are listed in Table 9-2. Listings of which manufacturers held 5L and 5LX licenses and when they held them are presented in Tables 9-3, 9-4, and 9-5. The contents of the various editions are described below.

A iniciativa foi contemplada no edital Projetos de Intervenção Pesquisa-Ação (PIPA), do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Brasília (IFB) e contemplou atividades lúdicas, artísticas e recreativas, que incluíram oficina de pintura, bingo, dia da beleza, confecção de chocolates e plantio de sementes. Todas as atividades foram realizadas em uma instituição de assistência aos idosos localizada na região central do Distrito Federal, a Casa do Vovô. Osresultadosdesta ação se mostraram positivos tanto para os discentes e professora, quanto para os idosos e profissionais que atuavam na instituição ao se promover a transformação do cotidiano dos idosos através da arte e do lúdico. A metodologia utilizada foi o relato de experiência pelo qual se buscou o registro ativo da atividade e das impressões captadas durante as atividades desenvolvidas. Espera-se quea divulgação de iniciativas desta natureza, motivem a comunidade acadêmica e geral a propor e executar ações dessa natureza.

Arsenik (As) yang merupakan kontaminan di alam dapat berasal secara alamiah dan antropogenik. Penelitian terkait arsenik menjadi salah satu topik yang terus berkembang dalam dunia penelitian hingga saat ini. Tulisan ini menyajikan metode analisis deskriptif dan bibliometrik terkait hasil penelitian arsenik di Indonesia yang diterbitkan dalam bentuk publikasi ilmiah untuk rentang waktu 1990-2021. Publikasi ilmiah sebanyak 160 buah diperoleh melalui pencarian pada database Scopus dengan kata kunci arsenik, lingkungan, pangan, dan Indonesia dan dilakukan analisis secara bibliometrik menggunakan program VOSviewer. Analisis secara deskriptif dilakukan melalui tingkat produktifitas penulis dan institusi sedangkan analisis bibliometrik dilakukan dengan menganalisis tingkat kolaborasi antar penulis dan antar institusi serta analisis klaster. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa topik penelitian terkait arsenik di Indonesia cukup banyak mendapat perhatian terutama dalam lima tahun terakhir (2016-2020) yang ditunjukkan oleh terus meningkatnya jumlah dokumen yang dipublikasikan. Trend pertumbuhan ini diperkirakan akan terus mengalami kenaikan untuk beberapa tahun ke depan. Adapun untuk penulis dan institusi yang paling produktif masing- masing ditempati oleh Titah, H.S., dan Institut Teknologi Bandung. Hasil analisis bibliometrik terhadap kata kunci menunjukkan bahwa topik penelitian arsenik di Indonesia terbagi menjadi 3 klaster dan teridentifikasi sebagai topik potensial untuk penelitian selanjutnya.

The Gas Technology Institute is currently addressing the risks and threats to plastic pipes through research sponsored by the United States Department of Transportation, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration. With the upcoming proposed rulemaking, the United States distribution companies will be required to implement a distribution integrity management plan. In developing an integrity management plan, it is key to understand system risks and threats and with 39.6 million plastic services and nearly 620,000 miles of plastic gas main, the threats to plastic pipe need to be addressed. The research discussed in this paper identifies the types of failures that affect plastic piping, excluding third party damage. The paper also describes the most common cause of leaks, slow crack growth, as well as root cause analysis of a pipe removed from service due to leaking. The cause of leaks for five other pipe segments is also discussed. The final topic of this paper is rapid crack propagation and small-scale steady state testing.

Pipe supports were originally intended to be low or no maintenance items. Consequently, pipe supports had become low priority items for the plant’s attention. However, as plants operate well beyond their original design life or are situated in locations that are corrosive, plants are becoming more aware that some pipe support maintenance must be expended. Short comings in the application, material, design, etc. of pipe supports are becoming more and more apparent as plants age. The effect is to impose unintended stress and loading into the equipment and piping that ultimately can become a safety or reliability issue. This is a photographic essay intended to provide graphic evidence of the types of problems that plants face with their aging pipe supports. The intention is to reenforce the need for plants to institute and maintain pipe hanger assessments as part of the total plant reliability effort.

State of stress and deformation of buried oil-gas pipelines under, operation must meet appointed requirements on strength, deformability, general stability, etc. Fulfilment of those requirements while designing main and field pipelines in conditions of marshes and marshy soils is very problematical. The cause lies both in weak knowledge of peat reaction to longitidual and lateral displacements of the pipe and in impossibility on account of that to analize the pipe state of stress and deformation taking into consideration the joint pipe-soil deformation. Wide research into pipe-peat interaction has been carried out at the Institute of Construction (Republic of Komi, Russia). In the paper there are enumerated main principles on design, analysis and engineering of buried ballasted pipelines on marshes, which have been worked at the Institute. The practical value of the work results for improvement of pipelines reliability under operation is emphasized in the paper, too.

To evaluate the structural integrity of nuclear power plant piping, it is important to predict ductile tearing of circumferential cracked pipe from the view point of Leak-Before-Break concept under seismic conditions. CRIEPI (Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry) conducted fracture test on Japanese carbon steel (STS410) circumferential through-wall cracked pipes under monotonic or cyclic bending load in room temperature. Cyclic loading test conducted variable experimental conditions considering effect of stress ratio and amplitude. In the previous study, monotonic fracture pipe test was simulated by modified stress-strain ductile damage model determined by C(T) specimen fracture toughness test. And, ductile fracture of pipe under cyclic loading simulated using damage criteria based on fracture strain energy from C(T) specimen test data. In this study, monotonic pipe test result is applied to determination of damage model based on fracture strain energy, using finite element analysis, without C(T) specimen fracture toughness test. Ductile fracture of pipe under variable cyclic loading conditions simulates using determined fracture energy damage model from monotonic pipe test.

Hydraulic Control Rod Drive Technology (HCRDT) is a newly invented patent owned by Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology Tsinghua University with independent intellectual property rights. The hydraulic cylinder which is connected by the deformable pipe is the key part of this technology, so the performance of the deformable pipe directly affects the function of the hydraulic cylinder and the HCRDT. Based on the conditions occurring in the operation of the Control Rod Hydraulic Drive System, a kind of new deformable pipe is designed and has been tested by the experiment and analyzed by ANSYS. The result shows that the longer deformable pipe is the longer its lifetime is firstly. Second, lifetime of the deformable pipe which has net is longer. Furthermore, the design of HCRDT can be optimized.

A design procedure for bolted gasketed pipe flange connections has been developed by the Sealing Technology Of Pressure-equipments (STOP) Committee organized in the High Pressure Institute of Technology Japan. This paper explains not only the design procedure itself but also the technical background of the leak tightness of gasket basis for the procedure. The point to be highlighted is that the design procedure has adopted a flexibility analysis of the flange connection based on the Oyama method, which is the modification of the Koumura method calculating the interaction among pipe, hub and flange ring including gasket stiffness, in order to determine the required bolt preload achieving the specified leak tightness. The Oyama method can calculate the variations of axial bolt force, the flange rotation, and the gasket stress distribution in the radial direction due to internal pressure using relatively simple formulas.

This report summarizes work done at the Battelle Memorial Institute, (Nestleroth, 2003) and the Southwest Research Institute (Chell, 2003) on "Better Understanding of Mechanical Damage in Pipelines" for DOT and GTI under the direction of the Gas Technology Institute. Battelle Memorial Institute concentrated on developing MFL technologies for detecting and characterizing mechanical damage defects. Combining axial and circumferential MFL, provides sensitivity to defects of all orientations, accurately determines the width and length of a defect, and more accurately predicts defect depths due to better compensation for geometry generated MFL amplitude changes. High-low magnetization field MFL detects and qualitatively characterizes mechanical defects and provides a quantitative measure of the depth of the initial dent from the reround halo if the pipe has rerounded. Absence of a reround halo would indicate a possibly innocuous defect. Good correlation was found between FEA stresses and strains and the measured NLH results. NLH characterizes mechanical damage qualitatively. Fractographic and metalograhpic analysis after burst tests were used along with engineering judgment and stress calculation to rank the severity of mechanical damage with respect to variation in length width and depth. An empirical formula is proposed for quickly calculating the relative severity of mechanical damage defects. All methods for characterizing mechanical damage, the formula, fractographic and metallographic, MFL, NLH, FEA, and engineering judgment correlated well with each other.

This project explored the sources of flow-induced pulsations in natural gas meter stations and the detrimental effects the pulsations have on the measurement capabilities of three types of gas custody transfer meters: orifice meters, turbine meters, and ultrasonic meters. To supplement the PRCI-funded research on the effect of compressor pulsations on ultrasonic flow measurement, Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) has performed a study to identify best practices for meter station piping design that avoid generating or amplifying flow-induced pulsations. This study involved a literature review to identify features of meter station piping that (1) generate pulsations independently of compressors or (2) amplify pulsating flows entering station piping. Where possible, the study also worked to quantify the effect of flow-induced pulsations on meter accuracy. This information has been used to create best practices and methodologies for minimizing metering errors caused by pulsation. As a result of this research, various design techniques able to reduce or eliminate pulsations in meter station piping systems have been compiled. Mitigation practices specific to obstructions, flow restrictions, piping geometries, gaps, acoustically-induced pulsation, and flow-induced turbulence are discussed. Additionally, common methods of filtering high-frequency pulsations are discussed in detail.

Current approaches for pipeline integrity management, as related to internal corrosion, largely depend on Internal Corrosion Direct Assessment (ICDA) type approach. An essential part of these assessments is to predict if corrosive water phase is in direct contact with the internal pipe wall, a phenomenon commonly called "water wetting". In general, water wetting prediction models currently used by pipe integrity engineers are lagging behind the current level understanding. The Institute for Corrosion and Multiphase Technology (ICMT) at Ohio University has developed and validated a mechanistic model that combines multiphase flow and wetting physics of oil and water on steel surfaces. This work that is the outcome of many years of focused industrially sponsored research is published in the open literature. However, its implementation into an integrity management tool has not been done yet. This PRCI project is devoted to developing a tool to predict water wetting for product pipelines as well as for crude oil pipelines and flow lines, based on Ohio University's work.

An assessment of the remaining strength of corroded line pipe is generally accomplished using the ASME B31G method and RSTRENG methods. These methods were developed using an early fracture mechanics relationship for toughness-independent failure of pressurised pipes and were empirically calibrated against a database of around 80 full-scale burst tests for thin wall pipes, dominated by pipes of grade B and grade X52. Applications of these methods to modern higher toughness pipe materials have not been fully justified. Neither of these methods is able to assess the significance of interactions between adjacent corrosion defects. Considerable effort, funded by Pipeline Research Council International, Inc. and by various industry groups, in particular in Europe, has in recent years addressed full-scale testing, analytical and numerical investigations, and the development of improved assessment methods. This report presents the results of a comparative review of a number of existing and newly developed methods for assessing corroded pipelines and a proposed methodology for the development of integrated corrosion assessment guidelines. This study was funded by the Line Pipe Research Supervisory Committee of Pipeline Research Council International, Inc. (project No. PR-273-9803) and was carried out jointly by BG Technology (United Kingdom), Battelle Memorial Institute (United States of America) and Shell Global Solutions (the Netherlands). The pipeline systems reviewed are high density polyethylene (HDPE), fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), flexible composite and thermoplastic liners. This report is not intended to be a detailed guide or design manual on the use of the referenced materials for pipeline applications, rather an overall evaluation on the current state of these systems. Significant industry literature and documentation already exists on the design, manufacturing, installation, and operation of these pipelines. This information currently resides in pipe manufacturer's manuals and various industry standards and guides published by organizations such as ASTM International (ASTM), American Petroleum Institute (API) American Water Works Association (AWWA), and International Organization for Standardization (ISO). In Canada, the oil and gas industry pipeline code, CSA Z662-2015 (Canadian Standards Association, 2015). Users should frequently consult the manufacturers of the pipe products in use or under consideration for use for clarification and suggestions regarding the best practices, considerations and applications of the materials in question. In addition, pipeline operators should be aware of the applicable regulatory requirements in the jurisdictions they are operating within.

The American Petroleum Institute (API) and Association of Oil Pipe Lines (AOPL)'s Research and Development Work Group (RDWG) and PRCI are undertaking a joint industry project to develop pull test strings and protocols to validate and test the performance specifications published for ultrasonic crack detection, electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT), and spiral and circumferential magnetic flux leakage (MFL) in-line inspection (ILI) tools. The purpose of the joint industry project is to assess the current industry specifications and improve ILI crack tool capabilities. DNV GL served as the project manager for Phase I of the joint industry project. This report summarizes the work completed in Phase I, which covered evaluating test facilities and methods of manufacturing crack-like defects, developing a preliminary defect set design and test protocol, and soliciting ILI vendor support.
