Die Übernahme von Hellweg durch die Rewe Group sollte eigentlich schon längst in trockenen Tüchern sein. Doch der Prozess zieht sich hin. Offenbar kann sich Rewe mit der Hellweg-Inhaberfamilie nicht über den Verkaufspreis einigen. In Köln ist man genervt.

In 1999 archaeologists excavated a section of the Hellweg, a medieval road near the present city of Paderborn in northern Germany. In the rubble of the road, which was an important east–west trade route, the excavators found a Jew's harp, deposited in an archaeological context dating it to the late thirteenth century. The iron instrument was well preserved, except for the broken and partly missing lamella (figure 1). It had a distinct mark punched into its forged frame. Where did this musical instrument originate and how did it arrive at this site? Was it brought here by someone who played the Jew's harp or by a pedlar carrying this instrument among other goods for sale? Who had made it and where?

Die Studie läuft seit 2008 in neun europäischen Staaten. Damit ist der helle Hautkrebs die häufigste Krebsart nicht nur bei der weißen Weltbevölkerung, sondern auch in Europa.

In this study, machine learning is examined in relation to commercial machine learning's resilience to the COVID-19 pandemic-related crisis. Two approaches are used to assess the pandemic's impact on machine learning risk, as well as a method to prioritize sectors according to the crisis's potential negative consequences. I conducted the study to determine Santander machine learning's resilience. The data mining area offers prospects for COVID-19's future. A total of 13 machine learning demos were selected for its organization. The Hellweg strategy and the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) technique were utilized as direct request strategies. Parametric assessment of machine learning versatility in business was based on capital sufficiency, liquidity proportion, market benefits, and share in an arrangement of openings with a perceived disability, and affectability of machine learning's credit portfolio to monetary hazard. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, these enterprises were ranked according to their threat. Based on the findings of the research, machine learning worked the best for the pandemic. Meanwhile, machine learning suffered the most during the downturn. It can be seen, for example, in conversations about the impact of the pandemic on developing business sector soundness and managing financial framework solidity risk.

Background: Infertility is a global health problem affecting 8-10% couples worldwide. Endometrium is considered to be sensitive indicator of ovarian, pituitary and hypothalamic function. The endometrium, which fails to produce adequate amount of glycogen is termed as ‘glycopenic uteri’. Glycopenic endometrium is said to be unfavourable for early blastocyst implantation leading to infertility in spite of ovulation. Endometrial aspiration/biopsy can be histologically dated based on the Dallenbach-Hellweg criteria which forms an essential part of histopathological examination of endometrium for infertility work-up. The aim of the study was to study the correlation of glycogen content with endometrial histomorphology in infertility.Methods: Cross-sectional observational study in which one hundred twenty-two endometrial specimens sent as curetting/ biopsy were studied. The Glycogen content of endometrium was graded from + to ++++ as given by Arzac and Blanchet. Statistical analysis was done on SPSS version 26.0. The categorical variables were represented by count (percentage) and the continuous variables were represented by mean±SD. The Chi-square test was used to find the association of glycogen content with infertility, the various phases of the endometrium and age.Results: Glycopenic endometrium was seen in 36.9% cases of infertility. Out of which, glycopenic endometrium was much more prevalent in patients with secondary infertility (47%) as compared to patients with primary infertility (35.1%). Conclusions: Glycogen depletion in secretory phase results in inadequate preparation of endometrium at the time of implantation. Assessment of glycogen is considered to be an essential part of histopathological examination.

ZusammenfassungÜber die Bedeutung von Targetsalden streiten deutsche Ökonomen seit Jahren erbittert. Martin Hellwig hat in Heft 4/2018 der PWP seine Sicht der Dinge ausführlich dargelegt. Demnach ist es verfehlt, Targetsalden als Risikoposition in den Zentralbankbilanzen der Überschussländer zu interpretieren. Die insbesondere von Hans-Werner Sinn vorgetragenen Sorgen wegen des hohen deutschen Targetsaldos beruhten auf falschen bzw. überholten Vorstellungen der volkswirtschaftlichen Zusammenhänge. In dem vorliegenden Beitrag widerspricht Ulrich van Suntum dieser Einschätzung. Er wirft Hellwig vor, betriebs- und volkswirtschaftliche Sichtweisen zu verwechseln und die geldtheoretischen Zusammenhänge zu verkennen. Auch habe er die Diskussion der Problematik unter den Hauptkontrahenten zu wenig rezipiert, obwohl diese zu einem weitgehenden Konsens in wichtigen Fragen geführt habe. Im Ergebnis sei Sinn und dessen Koautoren, nicht aber Hellwigs Gegenposition weitestgehend zuzustimmen.

ZUSAMMENFASSUNGEine Untersuchung mit der Frenzelbrille steht am Anfang jeder Untersuchung bei Patienten mit Schwindelbeschwerden und ist wichtig bei gutachterlichen Untersuchungen. Der Entwickler der Brille, Herrmann Frenzel, hat bereits darauf hingewiesen, dass sie nur im stark abgedunkelten Raum oder besser bei totaler Dunkelheit verwendet werden sollte, denn in heller Umgebung ist für den Patienten eine Fixation möglich. Im klinischen Alltag ist diese idealisierte Untersuchungsumgebung jedoch sehr selten gegeben.Wir haben untersucht, wie groß der Fehler bei der Untersuchung im Hellen im Vergleich zu einer Untersuchung unter optimalen Bedingungen ist. Dazu erzeugten wir einen Nystagmus durch Pendelstuhlreizung mit unterschiedlichen Beschleunigungen. Dieser wurde elektronystagmografisch aufgezeichnet, mit einer an die Frenzelbrille angekoppelten Videokamera wurde untersucht, bei welchem Beschleunigungsreiz ein Nystagmus mit der Frenzelbrille in heller Umgebung oder in kompletter Dunkelheit detektiert wird. Im Durchschnitt von 10 untersuchten gesunden Personen wird ein Nystagmus im ENG bei einer Beschleunigung vom 1,13°/s2 entdeckt, mit der Frenzelbrille in Dunkelheit erst beim mehr als 3-fachen Wert von 3,8°/s2, im Hellen benötigt man eine nahezu 8-fache (7,95°/s2) Beschleunigung, um den Nystagmus zu erkennen. Eine Person musste mit 15,7°/s2 beschleunigt werden, um im Hellen einen Nystagmus festzustellen. Dieses Ergebnis zeigt, dass bei fehlenden Dunkelräumen eine Frenzelbrille nicht geeignet ist, als diagnostisches Mittel zu dienen. Hier muss zukünftig auf eine Videonystagmusbrille, am besten mit Bluetooth-Technik zur Befunddokumentation ausgewichen werden.

Reproductive immunology is at the forefront of research interests, aiming to better understand the mechanisms of immune regulation during gestation. The relationship between the immune system and the implanting embryo is profound because the embryo is semi-allogenic but not targeted by the maternal immune system, as expected in graft-versus-host reactions. The most prominent cell population at the maternal–fetal interface is the population of uterine natural killer (uNK) cells. Uterine NK cells are two-faced immunologically active cells, bearing comparison with Janus, the ancient Roman god of beginnings and endings. Their first face can be seen as natural killer cells, namely lymphocytes, which are critical for host defense against viruses and tumors. Even though uNK cells contain cytolytic molecules, their cytotoxic effect is not applied to classical target cells in vivo, playing a permissive rather than a defensive role. Their second face is crucial in maintaining physiological gestation—uNK cells show critical immunomodulatory functions with the potential to control embryo implantation and trophoblast invasion, regulate placental vascular remodeling, and promote embryonic/fetal growth. Therefore, we believe that their current designation “natural killer cells” (the first “cytotoxic” Janus’s face) is misleading and inappropriate, considering their principal function is supporting and maintaining pregnancy. In this narrative review, we will focus on three lesser-known areas of knowledge about uNK cells. First, from the point of view of histology, we will comprehensively map the history of the discovery of these cells, as well as the current histological possibilities of their identification within the endometrium. To be brief, the discovery of uNK cells is generally attributed to Herwig Hamperl, one of the most influential and prominent representatives of German pathology in the 20th century, and his co-worker, Gisela Hellweg. Secondly, we will discuss the interesting aspect of terminology, since uNK cells are probably one of the human cells with the highest number of synonymous names, leading to significant discrepancies in their descriptions in scientific literature. From the first description of this cell type, they were referred to as endometrial granulocytes, granular endometrial stromal cells, or large granular lymphocytes until the end of the 1980s and the beginning of the 1990s of the last century, when the first publications appeared where the name “uterine NK cells” was used. The third area of present review is medical teaching of histology and clinical embryology. We can confirm that uNK cells are, in most textbooks, overlooked and almost forgotten cells despite their enormous importance. In the present narrative review, we summarize the lesser-known historical and terminological facts about uNK cells. We can state that within the textbooks of histology and embryology, this important cell population is still “overlooked and neglected” and is not given the same importance as in fields of clinical research and clinical practice.

Å besøke hellige hus Det siste året har jeg lest en god del forskning på ekskursjoner innenfor religionsundervisning. Noen finner store læringseffekter ved å besøke et hellig hus og møte trosrepresentanter, og det framstår i hovedsak som en verdsatt undervisningsaktivitet som legger til rette for at elever kan utvikle ulike former for kunnskap. Europarådets retningslinjer for religionsundervisning (2014) anbefaler ekskursjoner og besøk av trosrepresentanter, og med større vekt på møter med levd religion i et fornyet KRLE-fag, kan ekskursjoner bli en enda mer aktuell arbeidsform. Samtidig peker de fleste forskerne på fallgruver og utfordringer, og ulike didaktikklærebøker vurderer arbeidsmåten ulikt. Så langt jeg kan se, gir ekskursjoner læringsmuligheter som vanskelig finnes i et klasserom, men lærere må vise klokskap når de legger opp til det – og det er et felt som svært gjerne kan forskes mer på. I dette nummeret av Prismet gir Tove Nicolaisen et bidrag til feltet. «Ekskursjoner utvider læringsrommet når elever erfarer at de forstår levende og materiell religion bedre. Da har de forstått noe av andres perspektiver», skriver Nicolaisen i artikkelen Religionenes kunst i klasserom og hellige rom. Hun har erfart at (K)RLE-ekskursjoner har bidratt stort til læring, men peker også blant annet på at møter med noe som oppleves som svært fremmed kan føre til «avvisning, andregjøring og eksotisering av andres visuelle uttrykk og praksiser». I artikkelen presenterer hun perspektiver og begreper som er nyttige for å bidra til bedre ekskursjoner og møter med religiøs kunst for elever.

Zusammenfassung Dieser Beitrag ist eine Replik auf die in den Perspektiven der Wirtschaftspolitik geäußerte Kritik von Martin Hellwig an den Arbeiten von Clemens Fuest und Hans-Werner Sinn zur Target-Problematik. Er ist zugleich eine Replik auf Isabel Schnabel, die sich Hellwigs Analyse angeschlossen und sie zusammen mit ihm dem Deutschen Bundestag vorgetragen hat. Sinn widerspricht den zentralen Sachaussagen dieser Autoren. Er erläutert, warum Target- und Bargeldsalden öffentliche Kredite messen; wie den nationalen Notenbanken die Möglichkeit gegeben wurde, die Kapitalmärkte zu unterbieten; wie die fiskalischen und geldpolitischen Kredithilfen zur Rettung Griechenlands addiert werden können; warum es in Deutschland 2012 und 2013 kein Binnengeld mehr gab; wie und in welchem Sinne die Bundesbank im Quantitative-easing-Programm gezwungen war, durch den Aufbau von Targetforderungen an der Umschuldung anderer Staaten mitzuwirken; warum die Targetforderungen der Bundesbank grundsätzlich werthaltig sind und richtig verbucht werden; wodurch eine effektive Verzinsung der Target- und Bargeldsalden im Eurosystem zustande kommt, wie der Zinssatz zu berechnen ist, und warum es bei der Verzinsung einen (derzeit negativen) Zinseszinseffekt gibt; wieso Target- und Bargeldsalden beim Austritt eines Landes ein Verlustrisiko und vorher ein Drohpotenzial für Verhandlungen über eine Transferunion darstellen; und warum trotz eines formellen Haftungsausschlusses der Kollaps des Staats- und Finanzsystems eines Eurolandes im Umfang der Target- und Bargeldverbindlichkeiten auf den Rest des Eurosystems durchschlagen würde.

Centaurea Linnaeus (1753: 909) (Asteraceae) comprises a large number of taxa mainly occurring in the Mediterranean region and southwest Asia (Susanna & Garcia-Jacas 2007). The former wide concept of Centaurea resulted in a polyphyletic assemblage, and it has been recently split into several putatively monophyletic genera Centaurea, Psephellus Cass. and Rhaponticoides Vaill. (Wagenitz & Hellwig 2000; Greuter 2003; Hellwig 2004; Susanna & Garcia-Jacas 2007, 2009). Centaurea sibirica Linnaeus (1753: 913) is spreading from S Russia to W Siberia and Central Asia (Wagenitz & Hellwig 2000), it is one of the species of sixty-nine names in Centaurea described by Linnaeus and is currently accepted as Psephellus sibiricus (L.) Wagenitz (Wagenitz & Hellwig 2000: 37). However, from a nomenclatural standpoint, Centaurea sibirica has not been typified (Jarvis 2007, Ferrer-Gallego et al. 2014a, 2014b, 2014c, Altınordu & Ferrer-Gallego 2015, Ferrer-Gallego & Altınordu 2016, Iamonico & Peruzzi 2016). This paper designates a lectotype for C. sibirica based on the protologue and consultation of Linnaeus’s original material.

In this paper, results of dimension reduction in feature space for thyroid ultrasound images using the heuristic identification of noisy variables, testing the significance of correlation coefficients and the method of Hellwig index of information capacity, have been compared. The best results were achieved using the Hellwig method. It enabled us to choose only 3 features from a large set of 283 discriminant ones. Classifiers built on the basis of this reduced set of features have the highest classification sensitivity (0,82 ) and the highest classification specificity (0,83 ) in comparison to other reduced datasets that we used in our research. Results showed that the Hellwig method can be used as an effective process for dimension reduction in feature space in classification of thyroid ultrasound images.

Christoph Friedrich Hellwag was probably the first scholar who tried to show the auditory relationships and the relative distances of the vowels (Hellwag [1791] 1991). He described the vowels in a space in which the vowels formed a triangle (He didn't actually use the word ‘triangle,’ but spoke instead about a ‘scale,’ ‘ladder,’ ‘stairs,’ or ‘symmetric scheme’ (Monin 1991: 22)). The cardinal vowel system, created by Daniel Jones, has been a valuable frame work for vowel quality description, but it is partly articulatory, partly auditory.

The aim of the article is to compare the demographic situation of Polish voivodships. The analysis exploited taxonometric methods such as the average-difference method and the Hellwig synthetic development measure. The Hellwig measure was also used to delimitate micro regions in the central region. Central Statistical Office was the source of the data applied in the analyses. The paper was divided into two parts. The first one describes the methods, while the second part applies the method to regionalise the studied areas with respect to their demographic characteristics.

Type material of species belonging to the weevil tribe Celeuthetini Lacordaire, 1863 mainly from Sundaland, Sulawesi and the Lesser Sunda Islands was studied. Mitochondrial sequence data could be obtained for 27 old type specimens, providing important evidence on their systematic placement. Various taxonomic problems evident from molecular and morphological data are remedied. Nusasyntrophus Riedel gen. n., Parasyntrophus Riedel gen. n., and Apotomorhamphus geminus Riedel sp. n. are described. The following genera are junior synonyms of Piezonotus Schoenherr, 1834: Coptorhynchus Guérin-Méneville, 1841 (syn. n.), Picronotus Marshall, 1956 (syn. n.), Platyspartus Faust, 1897 (syn. n.). Colpomus Marshall, 1956 is a junior synonym of Enaptomias Faust, 1897 (syn. n.) and Aulacophrys Marshall, 1956 is a junior synonym of Apiezonotus Heller, 1941. Coptorhynchus ternatensis Guérin-Méneville, 1841 and Isomerinthus asper Pascoe, 1881 are transferred to Piezonotus Schoenherr, 1834: Piezonotus ternatensis (Guérin-Méneville, 1841) (comb.n.), Piezonotus asper (Pascoe, 1881) (comb.n.). A key to the genera of Celeuthetini from Sundaland, Sulawesi and the Lesser Sunda Islands is provided. Keys to the species are provided for the following genera: Apotomorhamphus Faust, 1897 (only species from Mt. Lompobattang), Bonthaina Heller, 1900, Javaulius Marshall, 1956, Nusasyntrophus gen. n., Parasyntrophus gen. n., Temnogastrus Marshall, 1956.
