Streszczenie:
Through the analysis of two of Guo Moruo’s literary works––his “Marx Enters a Confucian Temple” published in 1926, and “Confucius Eats” published in 1935––Guo Moruo’s assessment of Confucius and Marx is discussed. It is shown how Guo Moruo, although being a self-declared Marxist, kept on adhering to some Confucian principles, and how this attitude of his helps to explain why Guo Moruo, after having been criticized in the “pi Kong pi Lin” campaign, is now, within the revival of Confucianism in the People’s Republic of China, being revaluated.

Streszczenie:
The exchange of musical historiographical ideas between Lin Qisan and Guo Moruo reflects the exchange of musical academic ideas between China and Japan in the early 20th century, and is a reflection of the exchange and convergence of historical views, perspectives, and research methods in Chinese and Japanese music historiography, as well as the formation of their musical ideas under the joint action of Japanese sinological and Chinese historical thinking. At the beginning of the 20th century, China was faced with a dilemma, both politically and culturally, as to whether to adopt full Westernization or to adhere to Chinese culture? Or should stick to Chinese culture? Many scholars went to Japan to search answers to the question of whether to adopt full Westernization or to adhere to Chinese culture, and how to learn from the success of Japan’s modern reformation. Chinese and Japanese cultural scholars, including Li Shutong, Zeng Zhimin, Guo Moruo and Lin Qiansan, all expressed their cultural orientation and research thoughts in the ideological dialogue of cultural exchange. Among them, Shutong Li, Zhimin Zeng et al.’s practice in music in the Academy, Lin Qiansan and Guo Moruo et al.’s exploration of music theory, Tanabe’s “History of Chinese Music”, and Lin Qiansan’s “Study on Yan Music in the Sui and Tang Dynasties” are all brief reflections of the musical cultural exchanges between China and Japan in the last century. In particular, Guo Moruo ‘s translation of Lin Qiansan’s “Study of Yan Music Tunes in the Sui and Tang Dynasties” has become an important academic reference for later scholars studying the culture of Yan music in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. At the same time, Qiansan Lin and Guo Moruo’s music thought also profoundly influenced the construction of music historiography in Japan and China. This paper argues that, if want to explore the spirituality of the ideas of Lin Qisan and Guo Moruo in the turbulent environment of the intersection and collision of Chinese and Japanese cultural thoughts in the 20th century, the cultural and ideological backgrounds of Lin Qiansan and Guo Moruo, their coinciding academic perspectives, and the revelation and significance of the interaction of musical ideas in their respective times should be analyzed and studied.

Aims of the research: 1) to problematize the topic of science and education and propose an alternative, Chinese-specific approach to science and education; 2) to identify the characteristics of scientific enthusiasm and motivation of the most prominent Chinologists - V.M. Alekseyev and Guo Moruo, to consider their experience and scientific worldview as examples of scientists looking for ways to scientific enthusiasm and motivation in education. The topic of scientific enthusiasm and motivation is highlighted in the context of modern, stressful conditions for science, when the life of researchers in various fields enables not scientific activity, which is specified in writing and publishing articles in scientific publications, but more pressing issues, for example, of finance and overcoming the difficulties of the COVID pandemic. The topic of the crisis of Western culture is problematized, the possibility of studying alternative worldview systems and methodologies is substantiated. The research describes the life path and systematizes the scientific worldview of academician V.M. Alekseyev, a great Russian Chinologist, as well as the factors that inspired his scientific activity. We describe the main episodes of the life and scientific path of the outstanding Chinese academician Guo Moruo, widely known at one time in the USSR and the People's Republic of China, and now all over the world. The life milestones of Guo Moruo are briefly outlined, his characteristics as a scientist and writer, a public figure are given, the peculiarities of his personality and creativity are studied; the factors that influenced his personality are summarized in his scientific achievements. His scientific methodology is reconstructed and his main ideological positions and character traits that have become factors of his scientific, creative and social activities are formulated.

Individuality and History are two indispensable elements in autobiography. In seeking the truth of self-writing, we compare the concept of Individuality and History in the first and second socialization of Andre Gide and Guo Moruo, by bringing together Gide and Malraux, Guo and Ernaux. Gide rejects History and shows the second reality in the autobiographical space established in all his works. Following the historical tradition, Guo creates a new path of modern Chinese autobiography, and transforms his personal history into the history of his time. In addition to the value of personal archives, we can also see how collective memories participate in individual identity and construct their own autobiographical reality

The Late-Cretaceous Goiás Alkaline Province (GAP) is one of the largest kamafugite provinces in the world. It is dominated in its southern portion by ultrapotassic lavas and pyroclastic deposits, locally containing carbonatites, and in the central portion by kamafugitic diatremes. The northern portion of GAP consists of ultramafic to mafic/intermediate, plagioclase-bearing alkaline rocks and host mostly Ni laterite mineralization. The Morro Preto Alkaline-Carbonatite Complex in northern GAP is an exception, in that it is characterized by an intrusive carbonatite-kamafugite association and contains significant phosphate mineralization. It comprises two circular intrusions (Morro Preto North and Morro Preto South) of magnetite apatite magnesiocarbonatites, which host phosphate mineralization, and gradually differentiate to barium-rich ferrocarbonatites, some containing carbonates of the magnesite-siderite series. Both carbonatite intrusions fenitized the Precambrian host rocks, the metasomatic halo reaching up to 800m. The phosphate-mineralized magnetite apatite magnesiocarbonatites vary in texture and modal composition from magnetiteapatite cumulates (pseudophoscorites) to magnesiocarbonatites with only small amounts of magnetite and apatite. In the Ba-rich ferrocarbonatites, apatite is rare or absent, and the dominant carbonate varies from Fe-dolomite to ankerite and siderite. Carbonates of the magnesite-siderite series and traces of monazite and REE-carbonates are also present in the most evolved rocks. Geological, geochemical and mineral chemistry data are consistent with the evolution of the Morro Preto Complex from the magnesiocarbonatites to ferrocarbonatites by crystal fractionation, liquid immiscibility, metasomatic overprinting and late hydrothermal events. The silicate rocks in the complex are kamafugite dykes, felsic dykes and rare alkaline basalts. Due to their minor expression in the complex, the relation of alkaline basalts to the carbonatites remains unclear. The felsic dykes have K-feldspar microphenocrysts in an aphanitic groundmass dominated by carbonate and secondary clay minerals. Despite the remnants of magmatic textures, these rocks are strongly fenitized and might be the product of the potassic fenitization overprinting the complex. Kamafugites represent the most primitive rock type in the Morro Preto complex. They have a compositional range similar to the GAP mafurites, indicating their relatively evolved position in the kamafugitic series, and distinguishing them from the regional MgO-rich alkaline picrites that are the parental magmas to most northern GAP alkaline complexes. Carbonate globules in the Morro Preto kamafugites are consistent with silicate-carbonate liquid immiscibility, suggesting that the kamafugites are the parental magmas both to the more evolved silicate rocks and to the Morro Preto carbonatite series. The chemical composition of clinopyroxene in the Morro Preto kamafugites is comparable with (i) bebedourite xenoliths from the Morro Preto kamafugites, (ii) bebedourite xenoliths from the Alto Paranaíba Province (APIP) kamafugites (Mata da Corda), and (iii) bebedourites occurring in alkaline-carbonatite complexes (Salitre) from the APIP. This provides an additional evidence for the carbonatite-kamafugite association in the GAP, and an indicative of petrogenetic similarities between both alkaline provinces. Considering that the APIP contains a number of carbonatite-bearing plutonic complexes hosting large P-Nb-REE(-Ti-Ba- Fe-U) deposits, additional exploration work directed toward the identification of yet undiscovered carbonatite complexes in the GAP should take into account the characteristics of the Morro Preto phosphate mineralization and, consequently, abroader metallogenetic affinity.

Streszczenie:
This work aims both to propose some new dental characters which are useful to achieve an accurate specific discrimination within genus Lepus, between Lepus europaeus (European hare), Lepus timidus (Mountain hare), Lepus corsicanus (Italian hare) and Lepus capensis (Cape hare) and to suggest a reconstruction of the natural history and the palaeobiogeography of genus Lepus in Italy using the dental characters identified. The first part of the work is focused on the morphological examination of dental remains of the four hare species, starting from the analysis of some European osteological collections of hares (Naturhistorisches Museum Wien, Museo di Storia Naturale Milano, Collezione ISPRA Ozzano dell’Emilia). More specifically, the cross section morphology of three classes of samples was examined: third lower premolar (P3), second upper premolar (P2) and third upper premolar (P3). This led to the identification of 12 morphological characters and consequently to the creation of three morpho-odontological keys, a diagnostic tool for distinguishing the four Lepus species. The second part of the work focused on the analysis of dental remains from Italian Pleistocene sites using the diagnostic keys defined in the first part of the work. The aim of this analysis was to define the time range in which Lepus europaeus reached Italy. Evidence was found of the presence of Lepus corsicanus in the north of Italy (Riparo di Visogliano – Trieste) during the first part of middle Pleistocene. The analysis of dental remains from other sites located in the province of Verona allowed to set the time range in which Lepus europaeus reached north of Italy, thus substituting Lepus corsicanus in this area, towards the end of middle Pleistocene.

Streszczenie:
Abstract To help the selection of suitable sites for development of offshore wind projects in the US on the coasts of California, Oregon and Hawaii, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) funded this study to assess the potential geo-hazards in this region. First, a comprehensive review of potential threats to the sites based on historic events is provided. The geospatial indexing for the call areas are then calculated based on weights associated with inputs, consisting of: sea floor slope, soil type, and seismicity (peak ground acceleration data of 500 year event). Finally, suitability indices are provided for each region. To perform a suitability analysis using geospatial indexing, all input factors are first standardized into a common scale, then a weighted overlay function is applied. Each of the criteria in the analysis is multiplied by the weights defined based on their importance in the region and then added together and suitability maps for each lease block are developed. Comprehensive maps of geohazards and geological data, suitability index maps and suitability rankings for the area of interest are being generated and presented online. This paper focuses on the floating windfarm call areas offshore California, including Humboldt, Morro Bay and Diablo Canyon, and presents the new approach for evaluating, integrating and indexing geospatial geohazard data for offshore windfarms, and the state-of-the-art suitability analysis approach. This new method can be also beneficial in the other parts of the world (e.g. East Asia), and similar concept can be implemented to evaluate the suitability of sites, based on the hazards in the area of interest.
