As a leisure time activity, golf is to be more general and popular one in the country where National Product / Person 2,000$. A hundred years have been lapped since the golf was introduced in Korea (6 holes golf course was constructed in Won-san seashore in 1897). However, in comparison with the advanced countries, Korean golf has not actually been activated until now with respect to our golf history, and this study is aiming to point out both the positive and negative aspects of golf so as to propose how to promote golf industry.

Purpose – Golf started on September 30th, 1982, when Zhang Junlin registered and established Shenzhen Golf Club Co., Ltd. in Shenzhen Municipal Market Supervision Administration. In September of the same year, it was approved by Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government. The establishment of the first established golf club in China also marks the official entry of modern golf into the Chinese market. In 1997, Shenzhen University established the first golf major in China, and now there are nearly 600 golf courses in China. China’s golf industry is still developing at a high speed despite policy restrictions. However, there are still some deficiencies in golf vocational training in China. Through the analysis of the shortcomings, the reasonable development direction is put forward. Design/Methodology/Approach – With the development of golf industry, supporting education has also been carried out in China. Since Shenzhen University, many colleges and universities have also carried out related majors. Golf industry is not limited to golf, but also includes lawn planting, garden art, fashion design, sporting goods manufacturing, hotel management, real estate development, golf education and training, etc., which makes the golf industry bring a variety of jobs and personnel needs. It also makes golf clubs pay more attention to talent cultivation. In this paper, the problems existing in the training of golf talents in clubs and universities are listed and analyzed by means of investigation, to find out the appropriate direction. Findings – Children are an important member of golf club staff. How to carry out good caddy training and improve caddy’s professional level and comprehensive quality has become the task focus of golf club managers. At present, the common problems of golf caddies in China are: 1. There is no uniform training standard, which makes the quality of caddies uneven. 2. The income of caddies is unstable. 3. Most of the temporary employment relationships between caddies and clubs. 4. Caddy talent reserve can’t meet the needs of club staff. 5. Caddy occupation requires physical condition, and it is difficult to transform after unemployment. Research Implications – A good teaching foundation is an important way to cultivate talents, and only the mutual communication between clubs and colleges can help improve the ability of golf vocational training in China.

The article analyses the modern trends of world golf. The experience of national golf federations of the world's leading countries, interviews with golf experts assisted (29 participants in the survey: including 8 representa- tives of the National Olympic Committee (NOC), 10 members of the Board of the Ukrainian Golf Federation, 6 golf judges, 5 coaches and golf instructors) to identify the specific features of golf development and popular- ization trends. The modern causes affecting further development of golf in Ukraine are investigated: the defi- ciencies of the legislative provision of sports development and the promotion of the activities of subjects of the national golf system; low level of motivation of different groups of population for golf to practice in the country; lack of golf courses at children's and youth sports schools; the backlog of the material and technical base of golf development from the level of most countries of the world; mismatch with the modern requirements of scien- tific and methodological support for the development of golf and staffing, and others. The strategic directions, goals and objectives for the development of golf in Ukraine for the period up 2030 are resulting from this study. The strategy of golf development in Ukraine will allow dignified representation of the state in the world sports community, popularize golf as a leisure activity in the system of a healthy lifestyle of citizens and promote the consolidation of the nation.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to summarize the results of existing studies that addressed the relationship between the selection attributes of golf businesses and golfers’ satisfaction in South Korea. Design/methodology/approach Studies on the relationship between selection attributes and satisfaction per golf facility type were retrieved from the Korean Citation Index. Using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis version 2, the effect sizes (ESs) for the following relationships were calculated: between selection attributes and satisfaction with golf facilities in general; between selection attributes and satisfaction per distinct golf facility types (outdoor golf courses vs screen golf facilities); and between the sub-factors of selection attributes and satisfaction per golf facility. Findings Medium ESs were found between selection attributes and satisfaction with golf facilities in general (0.394), outdoor golf courses (0.336) and screen golf facilities (0.370). The choice attribute factors of accessibility, employees and concession had large effects on golfers’ satisfaction with outdoor golf courses, while services and concession had large effects on golfers’ satisfaction with screen golf facilities. Originality/value Among many Asian countries, golf is extremely popular and attracts more business than other sports; however, changes in consumer viewpoints and business trends necessitate consistent refinement. This meta-analytic approach offered a macro perspective on how golf facility administrators might sustain and develop their businesses by highlighting what choice attributes matter most to golf consumers.

Recently, the demand for golf has increased significantly. This provides an opportunity for the golf industry to develop further. However, golf courses are in short supply compared to golf demand. As a result, various problems such as unfair business practices of golf course operators are occurring. One of the ways to solve this problem is to expand the installation of golf courses. Currently, Korea stipulates that private businesses can install golf courses only when they meet public needs. In this regard, it is necessary for public entities such as the state to expand the supply of golf courses by installing public golf courses using idle spaces or adjacent development restricted areas. However, since the installation of a golf course is a large-scale development project, conflicts with stakeholders such as residents frequently occur, so it is necessary to carry out projects using systems such as public debate. If golf is activated as one of the general sports for all, it can secure financial support from local governments based on the provisions of related laws, contributing to the effect of lowering golf course fees and revitalizing the local economy.

Since COVID-19, the number of sports facilities enjoyed outdoors has exploded. In particular, the number of park golf courses has increased by 45% in the last three years to 327. With the rapid growth of park golf, the side effects of this are growing together. Noise complaints frequently occur and safety accidents continue in residential areas near the Park Golf Course. And unlike golf courses that cost high costs, park golf had an advantage of its easy cost, but the convenient operation of usage fees and reservation systems is causing damage. In fact, a woman in her 20s who was taking a walk around the park golf course in Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, was bruised by a golf ball, and even though it is a public facility that costs taxes, she sometimes operates expediently by receiving fees such as subscription fees in the name of being managed by clubs or associations. In addition, there is constant noise surrounding the park golf course, such as illegal expansion. However, the government and local governments respectively overlook illegal park golf courses due to the welfare of the elderly and lack of manpower. In addition, there is a high concern about environmental pollution due to pesticides used in the process of creating and managing golf courses. Accordingly, this study aims to provide a theoretical basis for improving the legal system to prevent safety accidents at park golf courses by analyzing the current status of park golf courses and recent accidents related to park golf, examining the related law, the Sports Facility Act, and deriving problems. To achieve the purpose of this study, the concept of Park Golf was used to analyze related safety laws, policy data, and research reports using literature such as statistical data, literature research, and Internet search data on park golf safety accidents and operational problems. In addition, legal and institutional measures were prepared to secure the safety of the park golf course through a legal review related to the safety management of sports facilities for the safety management of the park golf course. Based on the results of this study, it was suggested to install and operate park golf through the revision of safety-related regulations, improvement of safety inspection grade assessment manuals, and institutionalization to secure specialized institutions and personnel related to park golf, focusing on the Sports Facility Act that can be applied for safety management of park golf courses.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between perceived golf course environmental cues, golf passion, and lifelong exercise intentions for MZ generation golf participants. The following relationship was identified for data processing using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 21.0 for window. First, the environmental cues of golf courses perceived by MZ generation golf participants were found to have a positive effect on harmonious passion, a sub-factor of golf passion, but there was no significant effect on obsessive passion. Second, harmonious passion, a sub-factor of golf passion, was found to have a positive effect on lifelong exercise intention, but the influence of obsessive passion was not significant. Third, it was found that the environmental cues of the golf course had a positive effect on the intention of lifelong exercise. Fourth, it was found that harmony passion mediates the relationship between environmental cues of golf courses and lifelong exercise intentions. Objectives The purpose of this study was to explore the aspects that golf clubs notice during their rounding process and the intentions for paying attention to them. Methods In this study, golf journals of research participants were collected as data and analyzed using an inductive category analysis method. Results Aspects paid attention to in the rounding process were categorized as paying attention to the aspect of golf environment creation, paying attention to the aspect of golf operation management, paying attention to the aspect of golf operation strategy, and paying attention to the aspect of golf feedback. In the process of golf rounding, attention was drawn to the improvement of basic motor skills, acquisition of golf management strategies, positive interaction with others, and enhancement of golf rounding discernment. Conclusions This study specifically presented the aspects and meanings that were noticed in the rounding process of golf club members. This will be an opportunity for those who participate in leisure activities to explore what kind of thoughts and interests they should participate in and the educational meaning of leisure activities.

The purpose of this study was to examine the popularity of screen golf, golf played using an indoor golf simulator, in Korea and to further explore its sociocultural significance. This study conducted a case study in which purposeful sampling was employed to recruit 15 participants. The results revealed that screen golf was popular in Korea because its facilities were easier to access; screen golf centers were found at convenient locations, and screen golf was more affordable than playing golf at the golf course. The combination of screen golf and the bang culture that is particular to Koreans has led them to accept the former as a familiar space for leisure activities. The results further revealed that screen sport has sociocultural significance in that its considerable popularity has led to the integration of virtual reality (VR) sports into daily life, thus making the division between sports and games less evident. Golf, a sport once considered as being an exclusive hobby for rich elites, has become popular among the general public, destroying the hierarchal notion that some sports harbor. This is meaningful as screen golf has played the role of an agent for sport socialization, encouraging people to participate in golf even on a course, unlike any other VR sport. Furthermore, this pastime has secured its position as a subculture in and of itself, becoming popular throughout the world.
