<p><em>The main character in Geguritan Batur Taskara (GBT) is Batur Taskara. Whereas the secondary figures are Raja Patali, Maya's Wife, and Batur Taskara's son. As well as complementary figures are the servants of the king, Empu Bajra Satwa, Pranda Wife, and Hyang Wirocana. Analysis of characterizations in GBT, among others; 1) Batur Taskara is the main character in Geguritan Batur Taskara because he fully supports the story / gets the most portrayal of the figures from other figures. When viewed from the psychological aspect, the Batur Taskara figure is described as a figure who is not good because it always creates chaos in Patali. However, Batur Taskara is not always portrayed as a figure who always does evil. In the end he regretted all the evil deeds he had done and wanted to repent. 2) Raja Patali, from the psychological and sociological aspects, was a king who was highly respected by his people because he ruled in a strict and peaceful manner. 3) Maya's wife is the wife of Batur Taskara who is described as an evil and very devious woman. With her beauty and guile, she tried to win Batur Taskara's heart. 4) Batur Taskara's son is portrayed as an intelligent child and very loyal to his mother, 5) The king's servants are portrayed as being very loyal but rash in their actions. 6) Empu Bajra Satwa has a very high sense of humanity and love because even though he knows that Batur Taskara has committed many crimes, he still wants to accept Batur Taskara as his student, 7) Pranda This wife also has a sense of humanity and love that very high because they are willing to accept Batur Taskara in Pasraman very friendly. 8) Hyang Wirocana is a figure of God who lives in a grave with a good character because he forbids Batur Taskara from returning to Patali at Badra Wada because he could find death.</em></p>

This study examines the form, function and meaning of the ngusaba dimel ceremony in the Batur Traditional Village which is an implementation unit related to carrying out ceremonies that are very unique and rarely found in other traditional villages. To study it, the author uses several theories, namely: (1) Symbol Theory (2) Religious Theory and (3) Structural Functional Theory. This study uses a qualitative approach with a location in the Batur Traditional Village. The type of data used is qualitative data with primary and secondary data sources. The ngusaba dimel ceremony in Batur Traditional Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, from the process of implementing ngusabha dimel, found social functions with various meanings, namely magical religious meanings and sacred meanings.

Teks Geguritan I Gedé Basur dan teks Geguritan I Ketut Bungkling, merupakan dua teks geguritan unik di Bali. Keunikannya terlihat pada keberadaan kedua teks tersebut di tengah-tengah masyarakatnya. Sebagai karya sastra tradisional, kedua teks ini sangat terkenal karena selain sering dibaca dan dinyanyikan oleh penggemar seni magegitan di Bali, kedua teks ini juga sebagai inspirasi dalam dunia pentas seni klasik di Bali. Tokoh I Gedé Basur dan I Ketut Bungkling sangat monumental bagi masyarakat Bali. Tokoh I Gedé Basur terkenal kehebatannya dalam menjalankan ilmu hitam; sedangkan tokoh I Ketut Bungkling terkenal sebagai tokoh yang sangat kritis terhadap lingkungannya. Anehnya, kedua teks ini sampai saat ini tidak ditemukan teks individualnya. Keterbacaan kedua teks dimaksud dilakukan melalui teks yang berjudul Geguritan Kidung Prémbon (KP).Penelusuran studi ini dilakukan dengan ‘pisau bedah’ interteks dan resepsi untuk mengungkapkan jalinan teks dan proses keterbacaan kedua teks karya Ki Dalang Tangsub (Geguritan I Gedé Basur dan teks Geguritan I Ketut Bungkling) atas teks Geguritan Kidung Prémbon (KP). Dengan metode hermeneutik diharapkan penjelasan tentang asal-usul kedua teks karya Ki Dalang Tangsub dapat dijelaskan.Kata kunci: keterbacaan, geguritan, dan interteksAbstractI Gedé Basur Geguritan text and text Geguritan I Ketut Bungkling, the two texts geguritan unique in Bali. I Gedé Basur famous figures in the running prowess of black magic; while the figures I Ketut Bungkling known as the man who is very critical of the environment. Surprisingly, these two texts so far found no individual text. Readability of text is done through both text entitled The Song Geguritan Prembon (KP). Search this study was conducted with the 'scalpel' intertextual and reception to reveal the fabric of the text and the second text legibility works Ki Dalang Tangsub (Geguritan I Gedé Basur and text Geguritan I Ketut Bungkling) on text Geguritan Prembon Song (KP). Local knowledge (local genius) is the quintessence of our ancestors thinking either oral or written traditions which we have received to date. Thought that, in the context of real archipelago has the same thread, which has a valuable values and universal to strengthen the integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia. Through our founding genius thought that we should be able to implement it in real life to be able to reach people who "Gemah ripah loh jinawi", no less clothing, food, and shelter!Some of the many concepts of mind for the people of Bali are reflected in the work of puppeteer Ki Dalang Tangsub contributed to the development of Indonesia and has a universal value is the concept of maintaining the environment, save money, and humble. Through mental attitude has not always feel pretty; like not smart enough, not skilled enough, and not mature enough experience, make us always learn and practice. Learn and continue lifelong learning will make a man more mature and a lot of experience. Thus, the challenges in life will be easy to overcome. All that will be achieved, in addition to the hard work is also based on the mental attitude of inferiority is not proud, haughty, arrogant and other negative attitudes. Thought care environment, managing finances, and humble as described above, in Bali has been formulated through a literature shaped geguritan, namely Geguritan I Gedé Basur Dalang Tangsub works, one of the great authors in the early 19th century. ABSTRAKPengkajian sastra klasik sudah saatnya diperlukan sebagai sebuah pendekatan budaya dalam mengantisipasi tergerusnya tata nilai generasi muda sekarang ini. Asumsi mendasar yang patut menjadi urgensi pengkajian itu adalah, bahwa sastra Bali Klasik sesungguhnya sebuah cermin diri dari masyarakat Bali itu sendiri (masuluh ring sastra=bercermin pada sastra/pengetahuan). Oleh karena itu, tentu sastra mengandung tata nilai yang adhi luhung (nora na mitra mangluwihana waraguna maruhur=tidak ada sahabat yang melebihi keagungan ilmu pengetahuan yang tinggi). Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengungkapkan nilai-nilai didaktik yang terkandung dalam kesusastraan Bali klasik dan relevansi nilai-nilai itu dalam mengembangkan pendidikan moral generasi muda saat ini.Pengkajian ranah ini belum banyak diteliti oleh putra daerah maupun peneliti luar daerah, akan tetapi penelitian kearah itu telah dilakukan oleh para pakar sastra Bali. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sosiologi sastra dengan menerapkan teori reseptif, dengan langkah kajian sebagai berikut :Teknik pengumpulan datanya diawali dengan pengumpulan teks yang dijadikan sumber kajian yaitu : Geguritan Putra Sasana, Geguritan Basur, Cerita Tantri, dan Cerita Bhagawan Dhomya. Analsis datanya secara deskriptif kualitatifdengan bertumpu pada teks sumber sebagai bahan analisis.Analisis data ini diawali dengan kajian nilai-nilai didaktik yang terkandung dalam cerita klasik Bali dan relevansinya bagi pendidikan moralgenerasi muda saat ini.Hasil analisis ternyata banyak sekali terkandung nilai-nilai didaktik dalam keempat sumber naskah di atas, yang dapat ditransformasikan untuk sistem pendidikan dewasa ini, antara lain:konsep pendidikan seumur hidup, pendidikan akal, tanggung jawab guru dan murid, ini diteruskan kepada anak didik, yang sesungguhnya dapat dijadikan materi pengayaan pengetahuan kearifan lokal yang mampu memberikan rambu-rambu moralitas yang baik di kalangan generasi muda saat ini, yang lebih cenderung hanya menggunakan paradigma pendidikan Barat dibandingkan membangun kepribadian berdasarkan tata nilai yang telah diwariskan oleh nenek moyang dalam bentuk sastra-sastra klasik. Untuk itu perlu diadakan pembinaan oleh intansi terkait untuk lebih mengarahkan diri pada peranan ilmu humaniora dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas manusia dengan cara pendidikan budi pekerti dengan menggali kearifan local sebagai keunggulan budaya di mana masyarakat itu hidup dan berkembang.Kata kunci: teks dedaktik, sastra Bali klasik, kearifan localABSTRACTThe classical literary review is necessary as a cultural approach in anticipating the degradation of the values of today‟s young generation. The fundamental assumption that should be urgency of the study is that the classical Balinese literature is actually a self-reflection of the Balinese society itself (masuluh ring sastra = reflecting on the literature/knowledge). Therefore, of course the literature contains worthy value (nora na mitra mangluwihana waraguna maruhur = no friend exceed the greatness of science). The study intends to reveal the didactic values contained in classical Balinese literature and the relevance of those values in developing the moral education of the young generation today.The study of this domain has not been widely studied by the local researcher and researchers outside the region, but research in that direction has been done by experts of Balinese literature. The present study used sociology method of literature by applying receptive theory, with the following study steps: Data collection techniques began by collecting the texts that were used as the sources of the study, such as: Geguritan Putra Sasana, Geguritan Basur, Tantri story, and Bhagawan Dhomya story. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative relied on source texts as the material of analysis. Data analysis began with the study of didactic values contained in Balinese classical story and the relevance to the moral education of young generation today.Analysis result shows that many didactic values contained in the four text sources above, which can be transformed to the education system today, namely: the concept of education for life, the intellectual education, the responsibilities of teachers and students, is passed on to the students, which can actually be the material of enrichment of knowledge of local wisdom that is able to give a good sign of good morality among young people today, who are more likely to only use Western educational paradigm than building a personality based on the values that have been inherited by the ancestors in the form of classical literatures. Therefore, it needs to be guided by the relevant institution to be more directed to the role of the humanities sciences in order to improve the quality of human by way of moral education by exploring local wisdom as a cultural excellence in which the community lives and thrives.Key words: Didactic Text, Balinese Classical Literature, Local Wisdom
